Escapists (1x1) [Telios & Azimuth]

Tupus rolled his eyes and looked back at his parents. They started to walk around the garden walking about what happened to them.

Nathan and Lyra took them on a tour around the place, showing them a lot of things. "This place is huge!" Tupus said.

All over the place, we're other experiments doing their own thing. And among them, were some pure blood humans. Most would have given the group friendly waves. Scarlet gave a small wave to the group, then took off to explore on her own. Her objective: find Emily's room and steal her honey. A teenage girl would be walking towards them, and she had a boy next to her. The male, had no arm. Well, he did, but the girl was working on it, because it was apparently mechanical. Nathan and lyra would know these two as Maggs and Michael.

"How are the arms? Running into errors again?" Nathan asked Maggs. Tupus looked up at his dad. "They're your friends?" Nathan nodded as an answer.

"this time it was that pesky Azimuth. That sooty who is so into the book series, guardians of Ga'hoole. He stole some bolts while he was charging." Maggs responded, not looking up. "he also broke a few wires to get to those bolts." said Michael. "I could only lift that arm one way. Gravity had to bring it back down, which was slow... Hello, I don't recognise your face or voice. Are you new?" he continued. His shutter eyes focused on Tupus.

"Y-Yes... I just came here..." Tupus nodded. "He's our son. Just escaped from the old lab." Lyra added. Nathan began to looked at the mechanical arms. "I might be able to fix this at my workshop."

Maggs continued to tinker with the one arm. "you forget, I built this for Michel. I know every nut bolt and nuclear battery like the back of my hand." Michel would be the soul, torn from his body and placed in an AI. He too is claustrophobic, but he has a different trigger to his fear of enclosed spaces. He can be stored on a USB drive. And that's a pretty tight space, with nothing he can do.

With his one good arm, his left one, he held it out in offer of a handshake. "Michael." he said.

Tupus looked at Michael and reached out a hand to shake his. "Tupus..." He said, a bit unsure.

Michael's grip was firm, but not crushingly strong. Though he could do that if he wanted to. Suddenly, a grapple hook shot from the arm Maggs was tinkering with. "whoops. That wasn't meant to happen. Excuse me, I need to be a social outcast and work on this in my bunk." "need me to come?" "no, you're fine." Maggs responded, wrapping the steel cable around the arm. "but keep those connections clean." "yes Mom." Michael said. "shut up." Maggs responded, and left.

"I think i will later..." Tupus's stomach growled. He looked at the box in his hands and back at Michael. "Maybe see you later?"

"if your parents allow it. Maybe I'll use it anyway, while this one gets repaired. You will probably be bunked with your parents and sister."

Tupus nodded. "Thanks." "See you later, Michael." Nathan and Lyra said before starting to bring Tupus back to their bunk.

Bunks were small rooms, which used to be cells. They had been refurbished to liveable conditions, including electricity and plumbing. Each was extended back into the wall and each had a staircase leading down or up, depending on which on you are in. This allows more room for making other Bunks bigger. Their bunk would be an odd number bunk. Odd number Bunks had down stairs. The though Bunks do have small kitchens, most meals were eaten in a cafeteria area, a little further down. Emily's bunk was the opposite even number. Guess who was still trying to open the door. Yes, that's right, scarlet found Emily's bunk, but just hasn't gotten in yet. She was clearly trying to pick the lock.

"Scarlet?" Tupus looked at her, smiling as her knew that he had busted her trying to bust into Emily's room. "Looking for the honey?" Lyra giggled as she was amused.

Scarlet stared. Blankly at them. She moved her for slightly, and the door swung open and she quickly disappeared inside....

"oh, no you don't." it would be Emily's voice. She was home. Scarlet waddled out, her eyes narrow as she walked down the hall. "your bunk is further down. Twelve." Emily was in fourteen, and Tupus and his family in fifteen. "oh, Hello. Smart, isn't she?"emily asked, looking to the family.
