Escapists (1x1) [Telios & Azimuth]

[Telios]

Nathan knocked on the door, knowing that there's someone already inside. "Hello?"

 

[azimuth]

"just a minute!" Came a female voice. Zack was already beating his head on the wall. The door opened, and Michelle poked her head out. "oh, the hottie is finally here." she said with a smirk. "Scarlet, one day I will murder you." Scarlet would have been further inside, churring away.

 

[Telios]

Nathan stiffled a laugh. "I'll leave you with her then. See ya." He said with a smile and left.

 

[azimuth]

Zack didn't even care. He walked back the way they had come. "hey! Where are you going!?" Michelle called to him. Zack ignored her. "... Fine then. Me and Scarlet will have breakfast slash dinner all to ourselves...." zack came right back and straight in the open door.

 

[Telios]

Nathan came back to his bunk while Tupus was playing with Peppa.

 

[azimuth]

Only peppa would be being boring right now, and is still sleeping.

 

[Telios]

Tupus continued to pet her when Nathan returned. Lyra has disappeared, maybe getting meals for the family.

 

[azimuth]

And now, we skip to that night. As it had been morning when they arrived. Peppa and Julie would have gone out and about, and Emily was preparing to head to the surface again. Magnus had woken quite a while before he went to bed, so he is just waking up now, and asking Emily two things. One, was if she recalled another short-eared owl in haven. Emily denied any knowledge of one, and Magnus believed her. His next question was, can he go with her this time. "sure. You might find a gal out there tonight." Emily responded.

 

[Telios]

When it was dinner time, Nathan and Lyra called Julie and Peppa back from the garden. They had their meals, talking with each other. Tupus finished first and went to bed early.

 

[azimuth]

Julie and peppa alike were just as energetic as always. They were begging Nathan and Lyra to let them go out and play in the gardens. Why not? There were no bad neighbours here. There's no risk of danger.


Michelle would have been having a shower. The great part of living underground is the automated climate control, and preheated water from a hot spring deeper in the cave system, beyond the white walls. She was singing. Zack was covering his ears while Scarlet swayed gently on her perch in the main room. Zack was just being insensitive. Michelle was a beautiful singer.

 

[Telios]

"Alright alright... Just be back before 9PM." Lyra sighed with a smile. Nathan went into his room to do something.

 

[azimuth]

Peppa and Julie bolted from the bunk. They literally ran into Michael, who was in his old body. The equine quadrupedal one. He even had the female voice active, with a slight British accent. "careful, you pair. Maggs would be furious if this one was broken, too. And I don't want to be stored on her computer while she fixes them both." "sorry, miss Michael." Julie said. "it's okay. No harm done." peppa had already continued down the hall, so Julie took off to catch up.

 

[Telios]

Tupus was sleeping in his room while Nathan worked. Lyra went outside of their bunk, heading to the garden.

 

[azimuth]

Zack couldn't handle Michelle's singing anymore. He left. He saw Lyra also leaving her bunk, and he set off in the opposite direction. Emily emerged from her bunker, with Magnus on her shoulder. "hey, Lyra. Has Nathan tweaked to my teasing from earlier?" she asked.

 

[Telios]

Lyra giggled. "It seems that he doesn't even get what it meant. How are you doing?"

 

[azimuth]

"I'm great... Though I don't think zack is coping with Michelle." Magnus suddenly started clacking his beak in Morse code, and quite quickly. "try that again. I lost you at 'wait'." Magnus did repeat himself slower. "wait, who is Zack? In my dream there was someone similar." he clacked. "Magnus, there was no other short-eared owl. We've been over this." Magnus slumped a little, disappointed. "oh, calm down. You'll find a gal. Some day." Emily said. "anyway, I was just preparing to go topside. Did you want anything small from the twilight markets?"

 

[Telios]

"I don't think there is anything I want to buy..." Lyra answered. "Anyways, I'm heading to the garden. See you two later." She said before walking off.

 

[azimuth]

"alright. Fair enough. Catch you later." and then they parted ways. Magnus began a discussion as she walked.

 

[Telios]

Lyra went to the garden and sat down on a bench, watching her daughter play with Peppa.

 

[azimuth]

They would be playing fetch on one of the grassy patches. Peppa would be running full speed, with her wings out for balance as she chased after a stick. Julie threw the stick again, but the stick never landed... Peppa looked around where Julie had supposedly thrown it, but it wasn't there. Peppa looked back at Julie, and Julie shrugged. Azimuth, the sooty owl, landed on the backrest of the bench Lyra was seated on. He had the stick in his talons. He screeched quietly in greeting, as Tytos do.

 

[Telios]

Lyra looked at the owl and smiled. "Oh hello there." She then looked at the stick in his talon. "Can you give the stick back, my daughter is playing fetch with Peppa."

 

[azimuth]

Azimuth looked disappointed for a moment, but took flight to deliver the stick to Julie. Julie glared at Azimuth as he landed next to her. "I should have known it was you, you little pest you." she said. Azimuth just left the stick on the ground and flee back to the bench. Peppa was still looking for the stick so Julie threw it and, the moment it came into view, peppa bolted for it.

 

[Telios]

Lyra just giggled, watching Azimuth fleeing.

 

[azimuth]

Azimuth was not fleeing. He was merely returning to his perch on the back of the bench

 

[Telios]

Lyra reached out a hand to Azimuth, asking permission to pet him.
