Zack also took a look around. To one side, was the forest. To their other side, as they were edging the tree line, appeared to be farmland. To their luck, zack managed to spot what looked to be an old abandoned house. "there's one. Out there." he pointed off into the distance.

 

[Telios]

Tupus nodded and started to walk.

 

[azimuth]

"we run to it. Those choppers can't be far." zack took scarlet, cradling her. This of course, woke her up. Zack gave a quick 3 2 1 count down and ran towards the house, which was a good distance away.

 

[Telios]

Tupus began to ran with Zack. He can outrun the bird hybrid but he stayed by his side, not wanting to leave him and Scarlet alone.

 

[azimuth]

Zack threw Scarlet ahead of him, and she took flight. This was upon her demand. "you'll be teaching me soon." zack said to her as she took position just above them. They arrive at the house, but upon entry, it would seem that something was here recently. It seemed like a scavenger had gone through the kitchen cupboards and made a terrible mess. Zack was immediately alert to any sounds, as was scarlet.

 

[Telios]

Tupus quietly followed them into the house, his ears turning around. He was alert to any kind of sound. But his nose caught a strange scent. "Someone is still here..."

 

[azimuth]

Zack stared at him like he was an idiot again. Scarlet bit his toe. While Zack tried not to yell at scarlet, and scarlet took perch on a rafter out of zacks current reach, there would be a thud in another room. Zack and Scarlet both snap their heads towards the sound.

 

[Telios]

Tupus sneaked over to the source of the sound before he found someone, he hid from the person's sight.

 

[azimuth]

On the contrary. The thing was not a person, and the thud would have come from a footlocker at the end of a tattered bed. The thing would be hidden inside the footlocker.

 

[Telios]

Tyoka peeked around the corner and saw a footlocker. "Not what I thought..." He mumbled, wondering if he was hallucinating or not.

 

[azimuth]

Zack would be behind tupus, also peeking into the room. "go look..." zack whispered.

 

[Telios]

"Look for what?" He asked quietly, looking up at Zack.

 

[azimuth]

"go look in the box." he said, and gave tupus a little nudge into the room.

 

[Telios]

Tupus slowly walked inside and slowly opened the footlocker.

 

[azimuth]

Inside the footlocker was some old clothing, just tossed in....... But it appeared to be moving. Shaking slightly.

 

[Telios]

Tupus started to uncover the clothing, checking what was under them.

 

[azimuth]

The moment he began moving the clothing, there would have been a small chirruping sound from the box.

 

[Telios]

Tupus looked at the thing under the pile of clothing.

 

[azimuth]

The thing was a small, black gryphon who seemed scared half to death. It was curled up in a tight ball and was shivering in fear.

 

[Telios]

"A-A g-gryphon?" Tupus was shocked, looking at the gryphon. They don't exist...right?

 

[azimuth]

Zacks head popped out from around the corner of the doorway. "a whatnow?" he asked. Scarlets head appeared from above the doorway.

 

[Telios]

Tupus gently picked up the black gryphon and showed it to Zack and Scarlet. "A gryphon..."

 

[azimuth]

The gryphon stayed tightly curled up and chirruped some more. "scarlet says it's scared, apparently." zack said. "she also says she knew this little guy back in the lab." scarlet dropped a piece of rotten wood on zacks head. Just a little piece. "little girl..." zack corrected, glaring up at her.

 

[Telios]

Tupus looked at them then back at the gryphon. He started to gently pet it, trying to calm it down.

 

[azimuth]

Scarlet hopped down, then waddled in. Zack slapped the back of her head as she passed, so Scarlet leapt at his face, swiping at him with her claws. Zack leapt backwards, out of sight from the door. Scarlet continued inside the room, and to the gryphons head. She then hooted gently. The gryphon suddenly bounded from tupus arms and tackled the owl, clinging to her. Scarlet let out some startled beak clacks, and the gryphon let go of her. As scarlet recovered from a rather tight squeeze, the gryphon tried to hide behind her.
