Futuristic Eluvian Bounty

Deren wanted to beat Jack right now, Brendon would be his future target. The route wouldn't take much longer, Craig was making the last part extremely challenging, even Brendon was struggling a little, Deren had done loads of training in simulations, so he had how to do things like this hard wired into his brain, obviously he could still improve. Right at the end Craig went 180 degrees around the tallest tower and raced back for the shore. "let's see who lands first!" he shouted into the comms. Deren and jack were still close, there was nothign he could do now except for throttle to full and wait, he reckoned his ship was a little faster. Once they were out of the city Deren did a steep dive and raced just above the water, his ship having gained a lot of speed from that, he was going in for a dangerously fast horizontal landing as the others approached from above. @Daniel reaver

Mika giggked happily as she turned off the throttle managers and the ship quickly picked up speed "welcome" she said to him with a smile as she watched the race

Deren was leaning forward on his seat, he didn't reply to Mika, he was fully concentrating on landing right, the bottom of the ship was practically scraping the water. Once Deren got to 200m away, he throttled down as his hip hurtled towards the beach, it hit the sand hard and slid a little, he had landed just after Brendon and before Jack, Tom was now visible in the distance. Deren took his helmet off and put it next to his seat, he sat there laughing, he had enjoyed that. @Daniel reaver

Mika giggked with him and looked over "that was fun deren" she said to him as she smiled brightly and looked around immediately scanning the ship for damages before nodding as there where none

Deren got up, and put his hand on Mika's shoulder as he went to the platform. and waited for Mika, ready to press the button and lower down. @Daniel reaver

Mika giggled as she skipped over to him and smiled "did I do well?" She asked him wanting to know if her adjustments helped him race

"yeah, really well thanks." he said smiling as he gave her a quick hug before lowering the platform. The other platforms were lowering now too. Tom was only just landing. Craig had a suprised look on his face as he looked at Deren and Brendon. Deren walked to the middle, with Jack,Brendon and Craig. Craig assessed the pilots.


"Brendon, great, you're in, not much more needs to be said. Deren, you are stupid.....and it worked amazingly well, you had Jack surprised!" Craig said as he smirked at jack. "you've obviously been practicing for this. And jack, you're as good as Deren, almost, that final crazy move he did got him ahead of you though, you two, Deren, Jack are both in. so welcome tomthe team guys!" Tom then joined the group, looking sad and annoyed, crag added,"Tom, sorry, but You aren't ready yet."


the new recruits were all quite young lads. "we have a race in about 1 month, a big one, all be ready and i will give you your funding based on that. Well done, see you around." Craig finished as he walked away, The recruits all said their goodbyes and headed back to their ships, Deren looked delighted. @Daniel reaver

Mika hugged deren back happily "I'm so happy you made it in" she said excitedly before nodding "I wil legend we get home" she said to him before she blushed and nuzzled his chest "I'm really happy for you deren" she said to him

"thank you." he replied, "shall we go and have dinner somewhere in the city tonight?" he asked, wanting to celebrate. Deren sat in the pilots seat and spun around, he made his way home at a gentle cruising speed. @Daniel reaver

"Yeah that sounds nice. And all my stuff should be ariving" she said as she hugged him from behind the chair and watched

The hangar door opened and the ship slowly entered, and gently touched down. Deren stood up and waited on the platform for Mika, grinning still. @Daniel reaver

He lowered the Platform as he said, "so, we just hang out and watch TV for a while?" The platform touched down and Deren made his way towards the elevator with his arm around Mika. @Daniel reaver

"oh, sure! I forgot about them." Deren said happily as he stepped into the elevator and pressed the up buttons. "where the designs inspired by anything?" he asked her as the elevator went up. @Daniel reaver

Mika just shook her head "nope I just saw flaws in today's racing ships and desided to design my own" she said to him with a snile

Mika smiled as him as she walked into the living room and a bunch of holographinc screens came up "ready?" She asked him with a smile as she watched the monitors and waited for his awnser before opening the designs

"yup" Deren replied, lookong around at the hologram displays, he was excited now, maybe Mika and Deren could have jobs that were involved with one another, but for now, with little funding, they were going tomstart out slow, but he was going to finish fast, both literally and metaphorically. @Daniel reaver

Mika giggked happily before she waved her hand at one that was right in front of her that was larger than the rest and schematics came up with a sleek ship that looked like it would easily be a racing ship

Mika giggked happily "you like it? Really?" She asked excitedly before she hugged him "I made the engine simple to make but still as good as the top of the line racing engines. Also modled after your engines" she said happily to him

He hugged her back. "how couldn't i like it? I wouldn't be surprised to see it on TV Mika. unfortunately we can't test and improve it, unless you have a simulator, i could help you out there." Deren began to walk to the sofa whilst still hugging Mika, he took one step and waited for her to follow. @Daniel reaver
