Clearly... Sheesh!Genon said:Destruction incarnate. (} )
Well, if you were building a robot capable of going toe-to-toe with a super-being who can destroy planets like they were nothing and gleefully wipes out entire species, would you settle for anything less than overkill?Kyero said:Clearly... Sheesh!
No. I suppose not.Genon said:Well, if you were building a robot capable of going toe-to-toe with a super-being who can destroy planets like they were nothing and gleefully wipes out entire species, would you settle for anything less than overkill?
I'm alright with a timeskip as well!Kyero said:Anyway, that said I want everyone's input on how to advance.
I'm thinking about writing it in the form of another time skip so that we can all be flexible with how we proceed on an individual basis. Describing our character's training, recovery, etc.
If we can all agree on how to move forward then we'll get to work. My thought is a time skip detailing all of my character's actions over the course of the 7-8 days that they've been allowed to train and such which will also give you guys time to do the same.
Watchya think?

Can people vote for themselves or is it only for others? Also I may require some help with the Power Level math (@V@)Kyero said:@Genon @Anime King Kaleb @Zuka @Lord Zanicus
The site was weird and crashed on me a few times so it was a pain to post that.
Anyway, please follow Korvaiis' instructions regarding the new Commanding position. Just say who you voted for IC and when everyone has gone I'll finish the voting up and we'll have a new and solid chain of command that will not be questioned by anyone moving forward. Sound fair?
Heh. I'm 72,000 or so, so I'm a close second.Zuka said:Also I did my calculations and Eve is standing at 98785 at the end of the training week. Can you check my calculations please? That means she is the second strongest under Korvaiss depending what Karas/Raze/Dicchio/Zarytto do
battle pretty much did it, x 4.3 isn't anything to sneeze at. Also I can imagine people lining up to fight Korvaiis now. Fight me please!!! No No, me next Senpai!! xDGenon said:Heh. I'm 72,000 or so, so I'm a close second.
If we're being totally honest here, since he has a broken arm, Karas could have qualified for 5-10x (Crippling Injury) if I had just had the medbot pick him up. Silly me.Zuka said:battle pretty much did it, x 4.3 isn't anything to sneeze at. Also I can imagine people lining up to fight Korvaiis now. Fight me please!!! No No, me next Senpai!! xD
That's alright I was going to vote Karas as sub-commander because he's smart and stuff xD I would have voted Eve as sub, but I honestly don't think she is intellectual enough to make good decisions.Genon said:If we're being totally honest here, since he has a broken arm, Karas could have qualified for 5-10x (Crippling Injury) if I had just had the medbot pick him up. p.s. Did you add in any training days? they add up as well, I went from 75000 to 90000 just from one long, exhaustive training dayGenon said:If we're being totally honest here, since he has a broken arm, Karas could have qualified for 5-10x (Crippling Injury) if I had just had the medbot pick him up. I was actually going to vote Korvaiis for Commander again. He's got all of Karas' good intentions but with the experience to see them through. Karas might be diplomatic and intelligent, but not necessarily tactical. Thus, I agree Sub-Commander might be a good position for Karas, though Commander is a bit iffy. I haven't added in any training days yet though.Zuka said:p.s. Did you add in any training days? they add up as well, I went from 75000 to 90000 just from one long, exhaustive training day
Yeah I agree, Korvaiis for Commander. En taro Korvaiis! (Starcraft II reference. Basically means All hail! Also the "Just peachy" reference Eve uses...yeah Starcraft II. "Just Peachy! A wave of enemies is heading towards our base!"Genon said:I was actually going to vote Korvaiis for Commander again. @Lord Zanicus
About the medbot post...I never actually intended for any of the robots to have emotions or true consciousness. The medbots are designed to be more socially intelligent than the combat bots since they have to deal with patients, but I only really intended to take this as far as a making a patient feel calm, not that they're actually capable of feeling emotions or having personalities.
@Kyero
This is a minor nitpick, but same goes for calling Black Comedy a "he" in narrative descriptions. When Karas referred to Black Comedy with "he" it was a term of endearment, as it was his most prized creation. Unless it and the other combat robots grow beyond their programming, Black Comedy and its constituent robots should be referred to as it by the narrator. However, it's fine for characters to gender the robots if they want to.
WITH THAT SAID! I would be open to having the robots achieve true sentience, and I'm not necessarily against the idea of giving them emotions or personalities. @Lord Zanicus, you can leave your description of Medbot #33's inner monologue intact, we can just write him/her/zhe/it off as an anomaly.
A single broken arm isn't really crippling on its own. Two broken arms and half a dozen ribs would just touch the lower end of crippling by themselves. It's the whole package that makes it crippling or not, really.Genon said:If we're being totally honest here, since he has a broken arm, Karas could have qualified for 5-10x (Crippling Injury) if I had just had the medbot pick him up. Your calculations check out just fine Zuka.Zuka said:Yeah I agree, Korvaiis for Commander. En taro Korvaiis! (Starcraft II reference. Basically means All hail! Also the "Just peachy" reference Eve uses...yeah Starcraft II. "Just Peachy! A wave of enemies is heading towards our base!"
Well Far Out. Eve for the win! Back to being not all uncomfortable around everyone. Cept KorvaiisKyero said:Your calculations check out just fine Zuka.
Era could definitely put up a solid fight but eventually the difference in power would catch up with her. With Era's power barely breaking 80,000, Eve's 98,000 would make a win very, very difficult for her. She could pull it off if she went about it the right way, but right now her lacking of knowledge of Eve's fighting style would be her downfall.Zuka said:Well Far Out. Eve for the win! Still I expect Era and Eve still having an intense fight. And wow Kendra and Neil(spl?) are gunna be angry as when they find out. I'm game to kick them into there place.
