Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

Luna's eyes grew perplexed as she grew lost in the forest. Everything looked the same: trees and mud with the occasional patch of flowers or shrubs, and seemingly no sunlight whatsoever. The smell of a nearby wolf immediately seized her attention and she sharply followed after it, her blonde waves bouncing after her. Her slow walking turned to rapid running and then, at last, she saw him. A wolf. At last, her own kind. He, however, seemed angry and rushed, she didn't want to interrupt, but she was curious. "Hey!" Luna called over to him, quite reluctant as she did so. Then it sprung to mind that if he was agitated, that he might've mistook herself for a human. Her scent was disguised. But, it was there, and if anything it would be hard not to smell it.

((hmmm. Well, Ezekiel and Willow are on their way back right now. And Gaston and Jamison are in a pretty venerable position, they're not really paying attention to their surroundings.))

(>.>)

(I'll try)

Abby made sure the two (Gaston and Jamison, if you forgot Abby was there) weren't going to react to her slip up, then crept towards them slowly, looking around her surroundings. She starts off simple, just to get their attention. She gathers a small bundle of sticks and snaps a smaller one in her hand, then a bigger one, with some difficulty.

"What!" Ezekiel barked angrily, thinking it was his sister he spun around ready to lash out, but froze when he saw it wasn't her. "Who are you?" He growled inhaling deeply to try and catch her scent but it was too faint to determine what she was so he stomped closer to her. Thinking she was human like the other girl and seeing his sister how his sister was he thought of finishing what he started with this girl. A few feet away from her now he sniffed again and repeated. "Who are you?"

"I know sweet heart, I know..." Mary whispered softly, then started carefully leading her son down stairs and heading out, as she was worried she wouldn't be able to calm him before he blew up half the house. "Mommy's sorry for getting mad like that, but everything is fine now. Daddy's bringing back Jamison and everything will be fine." She said kissing her Jacques' head and hugging him close trying to absorb some of his powers but they were too strong for her to make a difference, then she came up with an idea. "Sweety do you see that tree other there?" She said once on the porch and pointing at the tree. "I want you to focus your power on it, just give your magic all slowly to the tree and the pain will stop okay?" She said hopping her idea would work.

Luna sharply grinned her wild and curious grin that tugged softly against her cheeks. "Luna." She softly curtsied jokingly, and looked back up at him with perplexed eyes. He seemed angry, and his growls made her tense. Stepping slightly closer, she lifted his chin slightly. "And yourself?" Without another moments hesitation, she stepped even closer, allowing her nose to twitch as she inhaled his scent with intrigue. "I was curious as to whether....You know, there are any nearby packs?.....I've lost mine. They were killed....I'm all alone." Her smile shrunk until it was nonexistent, and her sharp gaze hurriedly fell to the floor.

Ezekiel stepped back as she got closer what was this silly girl thinking?! She was far to close for any wolves comfort. "I am Ezekiel, son of Ash and Vivian." He said straighting up trying to look like the proud alphas his father and grandfather were. "Yes there are many packs around, but times are bad now'a days. No alpha would let in another mouth to feed unless they can prove themselves useful." He said knowingly, and wondering were his sister went.

Willow ran as fast as she could after her brother. There was no way she was letting him get home first and leave her scrambling for an explanation for what happened! She was going to either get their first or be right there if Ezekiel said anything. Her nose quickly picked up the scent of yet another wolf she didn't recognize and her brother's. Now what was going on? "Hellooo?" She called out as she approached the area cautiously. Spotting another shewolf quickly.

Winston wakes up from his nap with Zoe gently shaking his shoulder. "You overslept," she says in her quiet voice. Winston wakes up and smiles. "Thank you," he says. "I'll be back tonight with dinner," he says as he stretches and walks to the door, having slept in his clothes. "Emily is sleeping, I presume?" He asks, and Zoe nods. "I'll be back," he repeats, slipping out of the cabin and closing the door behind him slowly. Should I see that town? he asks to himself. All three of them knew they lived near, but they'd never dared to approach it. He heads towards the woods, his footsteps quieting and his breath slowing. Yesterday, there wasn't much prey, but today there might be more. He fingers the stone knife at his side, slowly drawing it. What would he find today....?

Marius let out a massive sigh of relief as the flames finally died down. The floor around the area was flooded due to his efforts but it was out at least and now they were out of water in the house. "Beeen? Fae?? I'm going out for a while okay? We need fresh water" He called up the stairs as he grabbed the buckets. It would take him a few trips, but at least with his size and speed as a wolf it wouldn't be too difficult. Shifting into his wolf form he slipped under the yoke and balanced it on his shoulders. The bound off into the forest. The stream near town would have the freshest water this time of year with runoff from the snow in the mountains.

What a strange sight he must have been. Bundled up in winter clothing, in a river, on a rowboat packed with supplies, and making his way down river. Why was he in a rowboat going down rivery, you ask? Well why not? Who'd expect him to, nobody that's who. And any town worth it's salt would have something by the river. This one was no different. It knew what it had, and capitalized on it. Further down and it would deepen and widen out. Perfect for fishing in. And families could play on the shore without having to worry about litter or the current, to much at least. But he could only continue his rather quick pace for so long. He wasn't as you g as he once was, and his arms were quickly tiring. "I should've dabbked in water magic." he grumbled to himself as he kept rowing.

((Awkwardly threw in character cause yolo.))

On days like these he was happy to be able to shift and have thick, warm fur. It was much more convenient than any winter coat. Speaking of which, he saw a man in one as soon as he reached the river. It was one of the oddest sights he'd ever seen. Who in their right mind would be traveling via the river at this time of year? There may have been more water but the currents were harder to go against. Thinking the man was out of sight and too busy anyway he shifted right at the river bank.

Winston prowls along, keeping both eyes open to look for possible prey. Occasionally he heard the sounds of a larger animal- maybe a deer or something- but it was pretty far away. But the wilderness.. was silent. It had come about slowly, and he wasn't focused on that as much as listening, so the instant he noticed he stopped still. He, all of a sudden, heard some talking. He takes a step back. No ordinary human would spook the forest into tranquility. This was not his job. He stops. But... if it were a witch... would they notice the magic, a little bit of witchyness, that had rubbed off onto Winston? It wasn't enough to do any magic, but enough for everyone to notice who he and his sisters were, and try to attack them. Maybe, if he were lucky... No. He was a hunter, not a diplomat. He walks backwards, keeping his eyes toward the talking.

Luna shook her head. "Well, I'll be off then. I do not have any specific talent that will allow me into a pack. Or a special one for that matter." With a small pout, she drew a hand to wipe her lips. She hadn't eaten for a while, and that was evident on her skinny frame. Badly skinny. Her eyes darted to a sudden voice, and she spotted another she-wolf. Her forest green eyes narrowed a little to focus on her, but then soon drifted back to the forest. Luna desperately wanted to shift forms and run obliviously into the forest, but she needed a pack and somewhere she felt protected and comfortable. At this point, her throbbing feet caused her to uncomfortably shuffle on the dirt. They were pained, and she had clearly been walking for too long. She hid this weakness.

As the talking abruptly stopped, if only momentarily, Winston stopped walking as soon as he could, but someone might have heard him take a step before he stopped. When they started talking again he'd ma- He let out a little gasp when he processed the fact that one of them was undoubtedly a werewolf, which was fortunate since he hadn't been listening in the first place. He needed to get out of here, before the two put two and two together and realized he was there.

Luna nodded once again, and then proceeded to walk into the words, having not noticed the man who had cleverly silenced and seemed to just stand there. Rubbing her eyes lightly, she frowned and proceeded to walk through the woods, her hands by her sides as she tried to inhale any nearby or suspicious scents. The wind swept up her dark blonde hair, making her smile through her pouty lips. The cool breeze soothed her majorly.

(@Beowulf , I forgot taaaags...lol))

As soon as she began walking away, Winston quietly picked his way through the undergrowth, making sure she didn't stop again. Werewolves... I've got to get out of here, he thinks. @xxbetaspiritxx

Ezekiel frowned watching her leave thinking it quite rude, but it was then he suddenly picked up on the scent of a human and froze seeing Luna walking straight for him. "Come here." He ordered her trying to act like he had yet noticed the human male. He didn't think she would be able to fight off an armed human with how malnourished she was. Maybe if he wasn't armed but Ezekiel couldn't be sure and he didn't want another wolf to die, especially at the hands of a human. "I'm not done with you." He called to her sternly getting ready to pounce, and he hoped Willow picked on the man's scent too and didn't get to friendly. His sister's curiousity would be the death of her, he thought as he shifted into wolf form ready to charge. There had been too many rogue hunters lately, none of them good. In fact the only good human, was a dead human.

Luna frowned, turning around at Ezekiel's request. He seemed to think commanding her to do things was necessary, and she didn't like it. "Yes?" She politely responded, her back to the hunter. Slowly, she walked towards Ezekiel, wincing a little as she did so; her feet were beginning to get even more sore. It was only suddenly when a drift of wind blew across her face that she caught a strange scent. However, she hadn't ever smelt the same scent before, and was unsure of it. Frowning, she flared her nostrils and turned slightly to see if she could catch the creature within her peripheral vision. But, she couldn't. Then, she realised that maybe Ezekiel was trying to help her from the so said creature. Afterall, he did turn into his wolf form. Luna debated on doing the same, but continued to slowly walk towards the two wolves, biting the edge of her lip lightly.

(As mentioned earlier, @EvelienLocalArtist , he doesn't smell quite like other humans since his scent would be a little bit tainted by magic, so he might smell like a mix between a human and a witch, or something totally new.)

Winston heard odd noises and words that made him freeze once again in terror. Like, their realization that he was there, and his own realization that they were all werewolves. If they were werewolves, they knew where he was undoubtedly, he knew. He doubted he could run and make it, and they probably expected a grown man, not practically a child. Honorable wolf packs probably wouldn't kill him, since he didn't mean them any harm, but it was a huge risk to take, although fighting was undoubtedly hopeless. Acting on a split second decision, he calls out "Wait!" to the wolves. But he stayed where he was. If they showed any hostility, he'd run, and hopefully get out alive. Since wolves typically respected a pack, being alone didn't do any good, so he was on edge as he awaited an answer.
