Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

Minutes later, Gaston was hauling a sleeping Jacques down the stairs. The boy shivered and trembled, whimpering in his sleep as his father toted him over to one of the armchairs in the parlour. Grabbing two heavy cloaks he bundled the sleeping child in those and then up into his arms.

"Rest Mary. Stay with the children. I'll take Jacques to mother and he'll be safer there when he wakes. Father always knows how to calm him that and Eliza and Jamie will be safer if he has another fit."

Gaston looked over at his wife. She was eminating a blue light, obviously from absorbing her son's power. He hated Mary having to do this. He hated being useless when it came to their son. He had spoken many a time with his wife about have Jacques live in the coven house, but Mary wouldn't have it.

Pride flickered into Ash's eyes hearing Sabella say that. No he didn't appreciate her insulting his first born son but he was proud of her for how stronge willed she has become. "Well I'm sorry to tell you this, but ontop is my place in this pack, your place is above your siblings, if you can hold onto it that is. Damion and Ezekiel are quickly becoming strong wolves and being alpha is clearly their paths. Damion may just start his own pack, but with Ezekiel and his temper, he may just fight you to the death for a title in this pack. When the time comes that is." He said deciding not to talk so much about Valac and more about her other competition.

"You want honey too?" Elizabeth asked surprised. "You are already sick and with...what you are...do really think that would be a good idea?" She asked remembering when instead of healing him their mother gave him a raw steak. Mother made her promise not to tell father, and now with how bad off he was she wondered if she could do the same. "You drink blood don't you? That's why food makes you sick isn't it?" She asked holding the peppermint tea jar.

Jamison bit his lip. Hesitant to reply, but he knew his sister was observant. After all of these years it wasn't something easily missed. Especially by his twin none the less. "Not around dad Ellie...mom doesn't like to say anything around him..and told me not too as well. Okay? I'll talk about it later. And do something to help too."

"But- Gaston..." Mary jumped up walking over to him. "I can take care of him, you know I can. Please, you don't have to keep toting our child around to them. You and I together we are far more powerful than your parents have ever been." She put a glowing hand on little Jamison's head her healing aura soaking into his skin, causing some of the pink in his cheeks to leave. "We can heal him ourselves. Not only that but you need to build up your tolerance to his powers." She said looking worriedly up to Gaston. "If he has another fit, you could end up a lot worse than burnt, especially if your are holding him." She said worriedly staring up at him with big sad blue eyes.

"Damion's got a stick shoved so far up his rear and Ezekiel's just a pussy cat that got his paws wet. He's foolish and violent-"

"Never seen a pup so stupid, flapping her gums n' all." One of the elder she wolves of the pack hobbled past, her hair silver and gait crooked from a nasty limp.

"Your pride is gonna be the death of you girl, mark my words pup, mark em'!"

The old shewolf cackled and lightly cuffed Sabella around the wars for shooting her mouth of so brazenly.

"Yeah, yeah pride... Death... Grumpy old goat."

Sabella grumbled rubbing her head. She then turned back to her father shaking off the old lady's loony warning.

Emily breaks into a relieved smile at hearing the news, and Winston's heart melts. How long had it been since he'd seen his older sister smile so genuinely..? "So... we can go into the town?" Winston grins, his heart leaping. "Better than that," he says excitedly. "We can be part of the town."

"Mary. We have two other children that you need to be here for. Let me handle my son. My mother and father are so much older and wiser when it comes to these things, to magic, to madness. We are but children ourselves. Let me take him for a few days then I'll return home."

Gaston promised turning to head out the door.

Elizabeth's eyes lit up. "So you're a-" she voice dropped to a whisper. "vampire?!" She was probably more excited about this than she should be. "Like from the legends and fairy tails?! But you can go out in the sun, and you have a reflection. You've even eaten garlic!" Her voice was getting louder now and her hands were shaking as she started seeping the tea.

"Yeah...no? I don't know. I guess I am?" He shrugged. Motioning for her to hand him a cup of tea. "Anything but blood or the bloodiest meat makes me really sick...I'm fine with garlic though. Sun bothers me a little bit, hurts my eyes and I get sun burns easier...Ellie! Shush! Not while dad's still around." He hissed. Glaring at her to get the message across that she needed to quiet down. "Mom'll explain it better I'm sure!"

Mary frowned watching him walk away. Would that man never listen to her, apparently not. "Wait." She walked over to her husband and kissed her youngest son's head making sure he was securely wrapped up in the cloaks. Then looked up at her husband brushing some of his midnight black hair out of his face. "One day, and we are coming to see you. Two days, and I want my handsome men back okay?" She said with a soft smile then leaned forward kissing him goodbye.

"Good girl. I'll have your favorite sweets and a hot bath ready for when you get back." His face lit up brightly with a wide smile. Leaning in he gave her a big kiss on the forehead before continuing on to store the water in one of the rain barrels and head inside to clean up his mess. He was surprised Ben was still sound asleep after everything. Then again, the man slept like a rock.

"She's right you know, I'd be careful. You are starting to act like your uncle Phoenix. You remember what happened to him right?" He asked as they started walking again heading toward where their new enchanted cattle were being stored.

Willow shook her head in disappointment. Her brother was such a hothead...it was embarrassing! She shot the other two an apologetic smile before bounding off towards home. She was adventured out for the day and starving. Her mother and father had to be somewhat worried by now as well. Of course they seemed to have plenty of confidence in their strength.

"Grandfather tore him apart."

Sabella replied quietly, thinking of her grandfather. His pack was getting older and older and they had traveled deep into mountain territory reigning over the hills and valleys like kings. Her grandfather was still feared throughout all territories by witches and wolves alike.

"I wouldn't have any competition if you had done as you promised Vivian and sent it away."

Ash's daughter whispered beneath her breath and through gritted teeth.

Gaston returned her kiss softly and then whispered a soft I love you into his wife's ear. Holding his son close to him and tucking the cloaks up around his cheeks, Gaston went to the door and opened the latch before looking back one last time at Mary and heading into the night.

( @Valjean24601 So who is Fea going to interact with?)

Ash looked down at Sabella annoyance now creeping into his voice. "Hmm bummer and here I was thinking about taking another mate. That little friend of yours is looking about ripe for the picking, I'm sure she'd give you plenty more 'competition'. Or better yet, I could just have one of the older wolves force a mating onto you, you then you won't have any competion to worry about because you'll have a full litter to deal with." He stopped and turned to his daughter his posture threatening and his voice ensuring how easy his threats could become a reality. "You don't want that as your future then get this through your thick skull. I love your mother, and Artemis. No matter how much they hate eachother niether woman is going anywhere, nor are their pups. So if anyone doesn't like it, they can leave. And don't you dare think you or any of the pack members are free from Phoenixs fate. So I'd straighten your attitude up right now little pup, or else you'll go to sleep with my teeth around your neck and never wake up." He said coldly, his silver eyes unblinking as he stared her down then turned leaving her behind as he went to check on the other wolves. All of them smiling to see the loud mouthed pup be put deep in her place.

Mary gave her husband a small solem wave goodbye then went to check on her other children.

"Oops!" Elizabeth muttered quickly covering her mouth. "Does that mean I'm one too?! If so why aren't I as weird as you?" She asked exicitedly then reached her fingers into her mouth to feel if she had any fangs, but her canines were just like any other humans.

"Beth get your fingers out of your mouth its unladylike." Mary chided as she entered the room and sat at the table with her childern. Elizabeth blushed and dried her fingers on her dress. "Where's father?" She asked to take the subject away from her embarrassing act. Her mother looked at her wearily. "He's gone to the coven to get Jaques taken care off, cause he doesn't think I can take care of him." She muttered then laid her head on her hands as she leaned on the table.

Sabella growled and followed her father, she wasn't finished with him yet. Not after he'd said those things to her. No one was allowed to speak to her that way alpha or no.

"Love is about loyalty!" She cried out, a snarl forming on her thin lips,"how can you love when you are loyal to neither my mother or your heathen redhead? How can you preach to me love and loyalty to my family when you have practiced neither?! You reprimand me and threaten hellish things when I am your daughter, the only true daughter of your blood of a lawful marriage, lawful mating! Do these things mean nothing to you?!"

Tears stung her eyes, Sabella didn't cry often and she never did in front of anyone else. This wasn't fair to her, Vivian or Valac. They would always be the second choice, the underdogs.

The rest of the pack had fallen silent now and watched the two wolves at the centre of the clearing in which the pack made their home. Vivian had emerged from the den to hear Sabella's cry and she limped over to her daughter, gripping her shoulder tightly and tugging at her. But her pup stayed stonily still.

"Sabella, come inside."

Still she didn't move.

"Come inside."

Emily smiles. "We're all ready." Winston was happy, lighthearted, at first. Then he noticed a strain to Emily's smile that he hadn't seen before. A small bit of sweat covered her forehead, and she was wavering slightly. "Emily, are you ok?" Winston says worriedly. Emily nods tiredly. "Yeah.. just..." She topples over, Winston barely catching her. "Zoe," Winston commands. "Go. Get a doctor, a healer, someone." Zeo nods, her eyes wide, and rushes out the door. Winston carries Emily to the nearest bed and lays her down. "Emily, you should have told us," he says, to no response.

(Someone mind sending a kid outside for a moment for Zoe to intercept?)

"I don't know. Maybe? You'd have to ask mom about it. She'd probably know." He shrugged again. Turning his head away from her and towards their mother as she laid her head down on the table. "Mom....why am I...like I am. y'know, a vampire?" He asked with the most innocent tone. "Nobody on dad's side is one or has ever mentioned one and you've never mentioned anybody on your side either...so why am I like this?"

"You listen here girl. I am your father and your alpha. You have no right to question me, nor any of my decisions. Wolves do not marry, I married Vivian because she wanted to, we were already mated so there was no real reason. Wolves mate to form a bond, a signed piece of paper means nothing. So don't you dare open your little mouth to tell me what's unlawful. When I mated with Artemis she became mine, just like your mother is." He growled stopping when he heard Vivian coming, too angery now to care about Sabella's tears. "Learn your place daughter, or soon you will be without one." He snarled then pointed toward the den. "Listen to your mother. Now."
