She heard someone's voice and she goes to see who it is and she sees his face and practically jumps back. She regains her composer and looks him dead in eyes. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asks bringing her hood down but keeping a glare in her eyes. She was desperately trying to remember his name, she was racking her brain, she knew who he was but couldn't remember his name, she knew it started with a J. Jake that's it. Her eyes are cold and her frame is smaller from not real,y eating or sleeping when she was supposed to. She was still alive and still leveling up, getting better.

Cardinal had finally caught up with some of the more , she believed the term woudl be hardcore, players level 20. She didn't cheat to get the levels either, well she didn't need to sleep like humans did so she just power leveled herself making up for her lost time and lack of skill when she could. She had rather liked the progress that people were making, but still if they cleared the floors at this rate then well there would be less time for her. It was selfish she knew that but really if they got free she might die.


Then cardinal saw the only person on her friends list Ueiko. Cardinal quickly went over to her.


" Ueiko it has been so long how have you been?" She asked.

"Oh, hey Cardinal. I see you've been leveling as well. I've been good, the info business has been pretty good too." I've never accepted her as an actual player but it's no point in arguing the point so I just go with it these days. Sitting down she sighed, "You've changed since we last talked, I see you changed to red, as you said you would."

Shirou finds the meeting spot. Seeing lots of people there. Including the weird girl and the guy that bump into them. " That's nice they made it pass the first floor too." Shirou thinks to himself.


Seeing how others haven't arrived yet. Shirou decide to pick a spot and sit down. Shirou doesn't sit next to anyone particular. Seeing as he still doesn't know anyone here.

He gave a hesitant gasp as he took a couple steps back "Nice to see you too. . .I'm here to help with the boss raid, speaking of which" his smirk grew slightly as he pretended to stroke his beard even though he didn't have one. "Wanna be partners?"

" Do i seem more human now?" Cardinal asked though her tone showed it was a joke rather than an actual question.


She had gotten her armor dyed , though armor meant robes it had to seem odd that she wore the lightest of light armor in a world where you died in the game and real life if you hit 0. Well she also was just abotu the only person to have companions and the only one to use npc mobs instead of a pet dragon thing.


" Well the color matches the name doesn't it otherwise I woudl need to cover myself in arrows now wouldn't I?" She said once again as a joke.

"And why would I want to do that?" She says crossing her arms and giving him a little bit of attitude. She was testing the waters with him. She still keeps her eyes cold. She wasn't the happiest to really see him. She looks around at the people conversing amongst themselves. She turns her eyes back to him still not showing any readable emotion.

"Ehh, you're more convincing yes, but still not for me. Anyway what are you here for?" Ueiko was here for the obvious meeting for the next floor boss so she was simply waiting for her assignment. As long as I'm not stuck on minion clearing I'm okay with the outcome.

" Same reason anyone else is to fight the boss it is not like i could do it alone" Cardinal said though in truth depending on how one defined beating a boss she could do it alone, but she would be cheating big time and really there was no point in beating a boss if you were cheating, even she knew that or at least felt that way. So she could but she couldn't doing it legitimately and that was the point.


" You would think anyone that knew more than you wasn't human, besides you still don't know what i am if i'm not normal " She said teasing her friend in most the only way she could think of by taunting her info gathering skills, hopefully it wouldn't be taken as an insult as well it could.

Noticing her change in attitude he had a feeling why she was upset with him. Sighing he looked down a bit, "Look, I-I'm sorry for before. . .I wish i could've stayed" explained Jake, ashamed of himself for that one incident.

She says sending him a party invite. She thought maybe she was overreacting but that's how she always managed situations. She leans against the wall once more. She felt like her eye lids weighed a ton but she managed to keep them open.

- level 20- Kira was sitting in the corner of the bench she was listing but was not in a group like any of the other players. She just sat and sat until a strand of hair came out of her cloak it was black so it didn't show much.

Accepting the request Jake looked to the other player "Who might you be?" he asked, looking to the other girl. Well. . .He'd be in a party with unhappy Kate and. . .new girl?

Seeing Kate's quick glance at him he sighed. At least she looked at me. He thought, still upset about how he left a month ago. Before he could say something Ueiko spoke. After hearing her last part he thought she was going to attack him, seeing as how most people aren't fond of Ex Beta-Testers. "How can you tell?" he asked with a growl.

Another Beta Tester? Well good to know he wasn't the only one in the whole meeting. "Yeah. I guess. Names Jake, Jake Sahvoz" he said, bringing out his own Sword and slashing it in random directions for something to do. He'd already gotten the Coat of Midnight and his Midnight Darkness Blade from the last hit bonus on the floor 1 boss but he didn't plan on using it. . .yet that is.

"YOOOOO!" Darik exclaimed with happy expression throwing out stat and health potions to everyone nearby. "DRINKS ALL AROUND MATES!!! HaHa!" He was not one to shy away from displays of candor and exuberance. He had acquired some custom fit gear from grinding mobs for materials to trade at local clothiers: A gentleman's coat, knee high boots, a bowler hat, white gloves and a monacle. (much more suited for his style.)


He practiced smithing weapons and armor and brewed many, many potions, learning new crafting recipes. His leveling was a little faster than most due to the combination of his Jack of All Trades passive and American pre-order recipes. With the spare gold he got between selling trash and wares and killing the local mobs, he afforded a down payment for partial ownership on a local store which gave him a percentage of the money spent there. He was on his way to becoming an entrepreneur.


He walked along with a swagger in his step, eyeing his potential party mates. He took out his blade "So, who is to be in my squad?" He raised his sword to his nose and let the blade fall with a swashbuckler style.

"Oi this guy" muttered Jake looking down to where the random guy, throwing potions like a maniac, was. Further inspecting his blade he was quite tempted to duel somone but it wasn't his style. Of course if some one were to demand a duel he wouldn't hesitate. Instead of doing anything he just watched the man prance around.

" Oh yeah she does she is so mean to me, i seem normal right?" Cardinal asked glad apparently someone else was willing to talk to her and who hopefully would treat her as they might anyone else


" Forget that sure i'll team up with unlike some people i know how to have fun not just obsess over information because of some silly title" Cardinal went on shifting subject seemingly as the whim struck her.


" oh yeah i am cardinal i forget to tell people my name i really should stop thinking people can guess my name... or look at my information." She half said half mused much more lively when around someone who hadn't figured out she wasn't human.
