Sapporo, Hokkaido

In northern japan the city of Sapporo, capital of Hokkaido, is a secret refuge for criminals and villains alike and this was due to the large black market operation that happened here. Criminals came from all over Japan and even the mainland sometimes to sell and purchase ill=gotten goods. Everything from jewels and luxury items to gear and even people happened here. It was large operation run by a group who called themselves the Free Ravens. They'd been hosting the black market every month, only for a few days and today was the first day of the month. The Free Ravens were strict about who their security admitted to the event, you had to have something worth selling or have enough cash to afford not only the entrance fee but enough to buy something once inside. Loaded weapons were not permitted within the underground facility and if anyone started to act out, the security swiftly dealt with them.

Located beneath the city's large park in the center of the city, the Raven Market is currently hosting several villain groups and the largest gathering of criminals to date. This years prized items are blueprints to restricted facilities, a woman with an invisibility quirk who was being kept against her will, and a bomb created by a technopath that was rumored to have enough kick to take out a city block. The market was very crowded and there would be some familiar faces among the crowds, faces that were recently on tv for various reasons.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" A voice carried over the underground facility and every head turned to the stage at the center of the space. An old man climbed up on to the platform and wave his hand around to get the attention of all in attendance. "Welcome to the monthly Raven Market! We have more vendors and guests here today than ever before so make sure to look around! And in an hour we will be unveiling the first item up for auction!'

Alphonso H. Sabater
Alphonso could hear the city buzz, unleashing a crescendo in sharp footsteps and restrained chatter. Silky whispers dripped along the shadowy cracks and spun from eager lips — all too eager to announce an interest in coveted items. He himself shared the same affinity, walking about with quiet purpose, keening his hands through rough hair and spinning himself amongst the gathering groups. A few desirous faces were bracing themselves against the front, whittled down to childish teenagers, or so the young male presumed. Regardless of the sentiment passing through his skull, he could see outlines in rushing silhouettes, bigger and smaller, denoting the variety that was attracted to the market. Size didn’t make the villain — equated power and skill made that so. Still, he could appreciate the uniqueness of stemming bodies, rooted perniciously to the floor and pushing to the front like a tidal wave about to consume the stage. It was usually the smaller villains, in his opinion, to be outwardly needy in the face of “expensive items,” slobbering at the very notion to receive something to elevate them. There was no interest in the wandering man being near that. It was nothing lucrative. Nothing indeed to pique his interest, thus, he moved towards the back. Where the less conspicuous loomed, forging a visible path to the stage but holding a discreet edge when advertising one’s curiosity. Close, but not too close. An adage steeped in time and formality. To be skilfully prepared and cautious.

Characteristics which established a remunerative mind, but Alphonso could use them to his advantage. See what was spinning in sparkling hues, illustrated in tiny speckles and wicked rings? Oh, he could see a few were clamouring for the blueprints, schemes abound in liquid brilliance and shredded beneath seductive eyelashes. The woman procured maybe a note or two, something he didn’t wish to study any further than he had to. The bomb — the bomb had some shattered interest, or so he thought, glancing over to some people who were indeed swimming in brazen want.

Nothing good to come from that, he swore under his breath.

Retracting himself in the corner, Alphonso strung an empty cigarette between chapped lips as he ran his tongue out of instinct and closed around the end. Some old habits never left him. Specifically, how his lips were still attentively wrapping around the cancer stick, knowing, imaging, how nicotine was about to fill his lunges into calm complacency. It would transmute the stress from his veins and bubble out into elongated plumes of ash rising over his head. But he couldn’t bring himself to numb the skittering in his body. Too much was at stake to give himself over, to toil himself into the rampant addiction which was going to claim him soon. Alphonso hung the cigarette lower to the corner of his lips, discarding temptation and watching, observing for any inconsistencies that were about to embark. He had little doubt that trouble was going to stir, and he’d be ready.

Lucky
The Boy No Hat.jpg
Lucky found himself in his villain costume, with his bandana covering his face and his Rabbits Eye equipped, watching over the bustling market, a bored expression under his mask as he messed around with some cards in his hands, his eye staring out over the crowd and all the suspicious and dubious figures. He had been hired out as Security for the event, and though he found himself bored, he figured it was better than not getting money. Besides, if a hero crashed the party, that'd be a good way to get his name higher on some lists, especially doing it in front of all these bigwigs.

He decided he'd go and mingle, wondering what was so impressive about markets like these, deciding to walk around and take a look at some of the things for purchase and see if any of the participants caught his eye, a hand on his empty holster while the other fidgeted with his deck of cards, looking around and looking at the cage with the invisible girl in it, scoffing a little bit. "Tch. What kinda weirdo would buy another feller? Especially when you ain't even sure if they're real 'er not?" He said to himself, looking over the cage before turning back, deciding to look for anything that might be interesting.

He glanced over at the figure in the alleyway, his rabbits eye scanning a few times, but he figured he'd leave them be, no reason to get too focused on any one individual, especially since from what the Rabbits Eye could tell he didn't have any bombs or anything. His stomach grumbled a little, leaving him to sigh a bit. He decided to go looking for anywhere decent to eat, since a fear of his was that the only places he'd be able to find was illegal ones selling human meat or some expensive shit, which he really couldn't be bothered to purchase. He had the money for it, but spending that much money on monkey liver or crap like that wasn't something he was too interested in.

Legacy
(Johnathan Alasso)

Legacy walked through the market while spinning a coin between his fingers. He had gotten a few raised eyebrows from when he entered into the place, he'd allowed them to frisk him for weapons but had otherwise kept his mask on and a steely gaze. The boy hadn't offered much in the way of conversation except to answer the bare minimum of questions. Even then he'd only spoken about two or three words at a time. He clearly wasn't the sociable type. As he walked around he looked at the stuff on sale. Nothing crazy interesting. The invisible woman he didn't have any way to keep, the blueprints weren't interesting enough, and the bomb wouldn't be enough to kill his father, even if he could pin down his location outside the house. So now he would have to find a job amidst this bustling market. Certainly someone here would be looking to do something villainous. He didn't need the money as he had already put aside a large sum even before he left home. He did however need the contacts that would come out of it. If he played his cards right he hoped to get both experience and notoriety out of it.

Murasaki made her way through the crowd, stretching and retracting herself around the hustle and bustle of the other attendees, making sure not to touch anyone. Last thing I need is to catch something from one of these disgusting animals! She thought to herself. This was by far the largest gathering she had ever been allowed to enter, owing that privilege completely to her older sisters, as she never would have been admitted on her own. They agreed to meet back up near the entrance after the auction, but for the time being, she was a solo act. Sure some people would recognize her as the youngest member of the Skulk Sisters, but to most of these people, with out her sisters next to her, she would seem just as capable a villain as they were. On her own. It was her time to eat up the attention and act like one of the big timers. She made her way to a vendor selling stolen museum artifacts where she ogled a jewel encrusted crown. The real crime here is that I'm not in possession of that crown. It would look perfect on my head as I paraded around the Fox Den. But I suppose I'll have to stick to boutique and antique store jewelry for the time being. One day you'll be mine. She smiled widely as her eyes shone with desire for that crown.

She made her way toward the stage to examine the main items of the auction. She glanced over the blue prints with little interest. That planning and forethought had never been her style, she was much more of a smash and grab kind of villain. The bomb creeped her out, just the thought that it could go off and level this entire meeting made her tail stand on end. Finally she paused at the invisible woman. Even though she couldn't see anyone in the cage, she felt bad for them. Life isn't meant to be spent in a cage. Even if you are a useful tool. What kind of awful person would cage or purchase another person? Even if she was brave enough to do something about it, she'd be caged herself, or worse, before she made it out of here. She walked away from the invisible woman less excited to be here than when she had eyed the crown.

[Clayton Veyer]

The black market was one of the things lower in the order of Clayton's "To-do-list", but the goods the gathering offers was something of interest to his curious mind. With a destination in mind and clothing himself with his villain outfit, he went to one of Japan's biggest gathering of scum and scoundrels. As one of the more professional villains, despite his descent into obscurity, he had wealth that allowed him to buy his entrance in the black market, with enough remaining to buy some expensive articles without imposing on his financial stability. Clayton arrived with confidence of a pseudo-high-class person, and just as immediately dropped it to bounce around the place and take upon what this place has to offer.

The place has been bustling, with many people walking about and interacting with what was in store for them. Clayton was mostly spending his money on trinkets claimed to be "exotic", and delicacies normally marked as illegal by the law. This rare occasion, at least for him, warranted a bit of extravagance at the cost of a bit of his fortune. This place was heavy with goods not found in the more legal establishments, and it was an opportunity he wouldn't pass. Although there were many he wanted to buy, there was just some things better observed than bought. Clothes made from rare materials, a gun made from the tusk of an elephant, and even a ring decorated with opulent designs and jewels were displayed. Thoughts of theft clawed on Clayton's mind, but he shook them off in favor of his own safety. With the Free Raven's promise of strict security, there was no need to be afraid of petty felony and the likes. Although Clayton wanted to, he wasn't terrible enough to do so. Plus, making beef with the Free Ravens was essentially a social death sentence for villains like him.

Now that he was here, his attention then set on this year's auction. Normally he wouldn't even want to participate, but this year's items were something that piqued his interest. He would like to know more about it, and if he really wanted something, throw in some bids and pray to be fortunate enough to get them. There was some time before the start of the auction, so for now he wanted to enjoy himself. His visor, which obscured his face, seemed to dimly glow as he subtly scanned the place. A habit born from cautiousness, but it has helped him more than he could count. Now he used it to find more things he could buy.

Hokkaido was a region he had frequented only a few times, and was always awe struck by the sheer density of bodies that could squeeze in these stuffy cities. He had a love for the outdoors and wide open spaces, screams could be heard for miles. He stopped reminiscing and focused on the reason he had come this far inland. He had a job to do. He skulked through the alleys and streets of Sapporo, toward The Raven Market! It was the first time he had been to anything of the sort, but he was told to use this opportunity to seek allies, resources, and the rarer treasure such a market holds. Any other man or woman would be afraid to carry such a weight, but he was practically vibrating with excitement. His skin roiling as the barb wire underneath it thirsted.

Security confiscated the many blades on his person, but otherwise let him pass once he flashes something on his his shoulder. Snare drinking in the market's exotic environment and all the busy little bees in it as he stepped into the market proper, dragging his gloved fingers through his hair. Whispers trailed his footsteps as crowds gossiped about his arrival. The Villain whom terrorized countrysides of Japan over the course of a decade. He was not often seen at such events, and given the unnerving personality, many of the lower tier villains preferred it that way. Snare had come him for many reason, most of them being entertainment, but he also kept an eye on the more valuable prizes here. Snare lurching toward the cage where a most interesting toy was to be found. An invisible girl? Well The Boss said to keep an eye out for anything worthwhile. She was likely what he'd want the most out of the choices. A bomb could be good, but it was so impersonal. He much preferred his methods.

His eyes hidden behind his mask as they flicked toward the other 'interested' in the cage. An impossibly bright creature that practically scorned his retina with her vibrancy. He suspected it to be a ploy as using hero methodology was quite a ingenious ruse, though that may be giving too much credit. She looked rather familiar given the characteristics, but didn't give it much more thought as it wasn't Phantom.

"You look pekid, first time seeing a captive? Perhaps you should get out while you can. That's mere child's play here dearest. She is lucky to, at the very least, know the confines of her cage~"

Snare continued to meander through the stalls and crowds, he had some time to kill before the auction. Snapshot's visor picking up the lanky individual as their paths crossed. His mask and well manicured villain outfit marking him as Snare. "Ah I don't think I've had the pleasure, I knew I'd meet some interesting people here" He said, giving a bow, though something about it came across as 'wrong'.

"I am Snare, and it is indeed a pleasure"

"I already regret agreeing to this..." Phantom muttered tiredly as she took in the Raven Market. Usually, she would be rather enthusiastic about the prospects of a market. So much delicious prey packed together in a tight area, barely able to see more than a few feet in front of themselves and struggling to hear themselves think. She suffered just as much them, if not more, with her enhanced senses. Despite that, it was a hunting ground she had long since adapted to, if not thrived in now. Weaving through the crowd with practiced movements and grace, she performed a dance of life only she and her sisters could ever truly know. It was but a cheap imitation, though. Her fangs had been removed, and predators far stronger than she lurked among the prey.

The Raven Market truly was a displeasing event. With the level of security guaranteed by the Free Ravens, the only benefit to her being here was the ability to sell a portion of the treasure her family now possessed and find the odd overpriced trinket. Even then, she wouldn't say that this was worth it compared to the overload of her senses. Without any of that excitement, the underground event only made her feel suffocated. The echoing roar of the crowd tortured her fluffy ears, and the strong scent of salt and iron from the sweat and lingering blood stung her nose. The threat of both the surrounding villains and possible hero raid put her on edge as well.

Needless to say, Phantom was not a happy fox at the moment. If not for the fact that it was her boss himself that requested she be here, she likely wouldn't have ever bothered to come. She didn't doubt that the bastard was crazy, but he was a crazy bastard that allowed her to support her family, and that was all that mattered to her right now. "That doesn't mean I won't try to ask for a bonus for the trouble." she murmured, the idea at least giving her the resolve to push forward. The announcement that the auction would still be another hour did leave her annoyed, though. If she had known that, she wouldn't have separated from her sisters and left them with the beasts here. Unfortunately, it seemed unlikely she wouldn't be able to track them down, and they were likely too invested in exploring.

Phantom found it unlikely that she could convince her sisters to stop their activities and regroup just because she was worrying, so she reluctantly gave up on the idea. She'd have to hope that the security around here was as good as they claimed to be in that case. Though an hour remained, she didn't feel the need to do much more than some light window shopping. Her time would likely be better spent gauging the interest level in the invisible girl.

While she made her way toward the main exhibits, Phantom was met with a rather peculiar sight that made her pause. It could only be described as a...wild west rabbit? The snow-white hair and giant rabbit ears were the first to get her attention. The next, of course, had to be the rather frankly ridiculous-looking outfit. If not for the fact that they were surrounded by villains and the costume had more of a desperado feeling to it, she would have assumed that he was a hero. Initially, her quirk's instincts told her to go for the easy prey, but thinking for even a moment would reveal that as a terrible idea. With a shake of her head, she cleared her mind and ceased the movement of her tails that had begun swaying with predatory interest. "I have more important things to do, and he's probably not a pushover if he's here." she told herself, moving on before she caused more of a scene.

Phantom considered herself lucky that she arrived near the exhibits when she did, as the scene there made her blood run cold. It wasn't hard to spot her sister, Chibi. The pink fox was rather conspicuous, and she never bothered with a villain costume despite being advised to get one. The issue that made Phantom's tails bristle was that Chibi had managed to garner Snare's attention. After seeing the man at work once, she knew that could only spell trouble. "If you have enough free time to play around, you can help me track down more items the boss will be interested in, Snare." she coldly rebuked the man as she approached. "He's already assigned me to see about securing the girl." Stating so, she nods to the invisible girl's cage. While she didn't enjoy discussing such a dark matter in front of Chibi, she'd explain that the girl would be in good hands compared to other villains later.

Phantasm
(Chou Ayumu)

IMG_5540.jpg
In his full villain costume complete with butterfly mask place and folding fan (minus the hidden blade) in hand, Phantasm felt alive at the auction. Such an intermingling of villains was where someone like him could really shine. He loved nothing more than pulling eyes and having the attention on him. The fox sisters had split up to cover more ground and he was left alone to his own devices as well. One of the security guards had caught his attention, a white-haired rabbit in a cute little cowboy costume. Phantasm bet he could have some fun there but as the man was clearly hired security, he decided against the risk. It was best for all involved if he didn't upset the boss by making problems with the Free Ravens. For now, he decided to peruse the big-ticket items. The bomb was an easy pass. It didn't interest the boss in the slightest so it wouldn't be something he would be buying. The blueprints seemed interesting but upon closer inspection, they didn't seem to be of any buildings the boss would want to hit. That was two busts.

Lucky for Phantasm, the third time was the charm. The boss had been explicit in picking up anyone who had quirks he could study and this certainly would be one of them. As he made his way over, it seemed Chibi, Phantom, and Snare were already there too. "My my, what a lovely little gathering. Don't worry, dear. Once she's in our care, I can give her sweet fantasies." He chuckled, bringing his fan up to his face to act coy. With the four of them there with separate funds, they would no doubt be able to secure the target. On his way over, he also managed to overhear a bit about Snare's concern if the woman was even there. "Well, I suppose there's only one way to tell if she's in there then, hm?" Closing his folding fan, a small purple butterfly appeared on the end of it. He turned to the man in charge of watching over the woman in the cage. "I don't suppose you'd allow me to do a small harmless test to prove she's real, would you?"

Lucky turned when his fur stood on edge, his eyes flicking around. He only got that way during two specific situations, those being when danger or something going very wrong was imminent, or if someone with a mutant predator quirk was looking at him with the hungry eyes. So one could imagine his rabbit instincts going haywire over his eyes meeting the retreating form of a 2 fox tailed woman in a bodysuit moving back through the crowd towards the invisible woman exhibit. His ears started to twitch a little as he shook in place, his rabbit instincts overtaking reason while he stood there. That was a fox woman. And everyone knows what foxes do to rabbits. It’s most certainly not pleasant for the rabbit. However, he quickly got back to moving, doing a few stretches in place to hide the genetic fear he felt of the fox, glaring a bit at the retreating form.

After all, who was he to run away from some woman just because she was a fox? If there was any time to show his bravery, it’d be here, where she couldn’t fi-, he means in front of all the other villains to know he means business.

So with a quick few breaths to hype himself up, he started walking through the crowd after the fox woman, slicking back his ears a moment before they simply flopped right back up. He made his way through the crowd, his incredibly tall form easily letting him track the fox girl. He continued along, spotting where she ended up finding herself.

So, there was another fox girl, that barbed wire bastard, and the butterfly boy. So, looked like The Ryuiki had some kind of stake in this too, from all those familiar faces. However, lucky had decided he wanted to talk to the fox woman, and he did whatever he wanted, that was his whole schtick. So with a quick deep breath, he walked over to the group with a smile beneath his bandana. “Howdy fellas, I hope yer finding’ everythin’ up ta standard.” He said, walking over and tipping his hat a moment.

He gave a side glance to snare, huffing a bit. “Evenin’ Gulag.” He said, using the custom nickname he had given Snare, something he did to everyone he had interactions with. He however returned his focus to the fox woman, taking his hat off for a moment. “Er, couldn’t help but notice ye from across the market and thought I’d come over and say howdy to ya.” He said with a smile, even if he knew she couldn’t see it beneath his bandanna. He hoped he wouldn’t come off as a weirdo to her though, that’d be unfortunate when he’s trying to prove to himself that he can talk confidently to a predator quirk.

Don Carter
Beyond annoyed after finally caving in and giving up his firearms to get inside the market. Don was somewhat satisfied with most of the things the market offered was of good quality but price tags not matching the product. The entree fee and rules to even get in is rather strict and a pain in the ass for his first visit he at least knows now. His experience only got worst when a bunch of random thugs tried to provoke him into an altercation. After calling them all rat bastards and having security called on them, Don disappeared into the crowd to escape the commotion and ended up finding himself outside a large auction house that seems to be gathering a large crowd.

Walking around to see how to get in and what’s to offer he eventually saw the main attractions of the auction. Blueprints to some undisclosed facilities? Boring as fuck unless they’re making advanced weapons and explosives he couldn’t care less about. A bomb that can supposedly take out a city block is interesting. A big explosion to lead all the danger away from him during his criminal activities would be nice. The last but surely not least was a supposed invisible woman in a cage. He laughed at the thought knowing that many people probably is worried about it being a scam and ask for proof but for him he can see through all that. He approaches the cage ignoring the large crowd and rather well distinguished villains surrounding it. He knew the invisible woman would of course be the main focus of the auction as from what he remembered slaves was a pretty good find in the market and one that you can’t see at that is truly remarkable he almost wanted to ask who caught her but he regained focus and sat in front of the cage before taking a breath and in a blink his vision changed. His now normal view of the world had become more vivid and could see even a fly on the ceiling across the room , sounds got louder and more distinguishable, his touch became sensitive and could feel the ground slightly vibrate with every step taken around him, the smells around him rushed his nose and became rich. The sudden boost in his senses around so much stimulation shook him up for a second causing him to lean and bump into one of the villain’s leg standing by the cage. He immediately jumped up and recollected himself half out of embarrassment and the other ready to react to conflict. Scanning over the man he is overcome with a sense of danger staring at the crude mask but well dressed man. Psycho is the word he wanted to say but refrained from causing another scene as from the way this man carries himself he saw he had no regard for life but his.

My apologies“ He said in a deep and monotone voice, his mask making his voice sound slightly synthetic. He then takes a look around at the crowd accompanying the man and notices how underdressed he is. Then out of half sarcasm and half annoyance of literally bumping into a social interaction he says “Rather formal for an auction feels more like a housewarming party with all these well-dressed criminals“. He says the careless words without hesitation but his tone more lively than before trying not to sound like he’s insulting everyone present.

Murasaki was less than pleased with her situation. She had wanted to be thought of as a peer by the other criminals who saw her in passing, but somehow she ended up surrounded by a group of dangerous villains and her sister, who she had been trying not to be seen with. Why'd all the weirdos and freaks have to converge on me! That guy in the suit and mask really creeps me out. she thought to herself. The topic suddenly turned to whether or not the woman was actually in the cage, something Murasaki could have told them from her fox senses, but decided it best to keep her mouth shut. Even if it only earned her gratitude, she wasn't sure these were people she wanted to be on the good side of. Or any side of. Just as she was about to attempt to slink away, a tall rabbit cowboy entered the scene. He appeared to be interested in her sister, so Murasaki used this chance to slink away from the group. Seeing the rabbit ears reminded her she was hungry so she left to find a vendor selling some kind of meat. She wasn't thrilled about leaving the invisible woman in the care of such people, and the revelation that her sister was there to purchase her for whoever she had become involved with was a painful one, but there was nothing she could do about it. She walked away from the invisible woman less excited to be here than when she had eyed the crown.

James Smith

James was not invited, nor was he allowed in due to any amount of money have had on his person, no James simply slipped in unnoticed as always. He looked around, taking in the crowd and new faces, This was of course his job, taking note of every dangerous person or persons. He grabbed a few things here and there since no-one would notice them go missing anyway. trinkets and bits lined his pockets as he moved with the mass of bodies, after all "take what you can" he was always told..."and give nothing back". After a while of taking in the sights and taking what he could carry he began looking for someone familiar. He didn't want to risk a conversation with someone new, to much data of himself was something James avoided at all costs even in his down time.

Corvus
1672449160744.png

With the announcement of the upcoming auction, a mysterious figure appeared on the floor who despite seemed secretive and distant, seemed to know and be familiar with several of the villainous guests. He walked with the confidence and the swagger of a man who felt beyond reproach, a man who believed himself out of reach of heroes, villains, and the law altogether. Corvus was the title given to the leader of the Free Ravens group and the name that the man had chosen to go by. The well-kept secret of the man's identity and his origins allowed him to operate in any world he walked into, so long as he had the means to command respect, and he had that in stacks. Cash was the Free Ravens' source of power and Corus had supreme control over the group's treasury. So as he sauntered through the crowds of villains who envied and admired him, they paid their respects in the hope that they'd benefit from meeting the man in person.

Legacy would find he had the pick of the litter when it came to job hunting. Some people were there simply to find help with jobs that they were planning. The first group he'd find would be recruiting for a robbery and their target was an armored vehicle. They had all the plans, although they weren't sharing that info, they were just looking for people with useful quirks to help the. "Strength quirks! Speed quirks! We've got a robbery with a perfect plan!" He advertised loudly.

Chibi's passing by the cage and her swift departure caught the attention of the invisible woman inside who had been keeping her quirk up to hide herself. Her hand reached through the bars and she attempted to grab hold of Chibi's wrist. The fox's lingering gaze had revealed to the woman that the villain had a heart and felt for her situation. "Please..." She called softly, but before she knew it the fox had walked away.

1672589960817.png Phantasm's approach to the cage and sudden activation of his quirk annoyed the criminals in possession of the woman. A red-haired man stepped forward and his stature started to swell, the man gaining height and muscle mass as he went from 6 feet to 8 feet. "Keep your quirk to yourself." He insisted in a stern tone. "You can wait to see the merchandise like everyone else." Several people tuned into the interaction, eager to see just what would unfold in a place like this. It was clear from the way he had spoken and the way he stared down at Phantasm that the man was ready to fight and wouldn't hesitate to throw the first punch if he was pushed.

The sight of the brewing conflict and increased number of participants alerted Corvus to the need for distraction. While he'd like to say this event was high-class, he would be lying. These were all scum and the lowest of filth society had to offer. He could only expect them to behave for so long before something happened.

"Friends!" Mask augmented his voice, sending it through the market to everyone ear as he climbed up on to the platform to be center stage. "Thank you all for coming! The Free Ravens are happy to bring to you yet another Raven Market and this time full of such rarities and treasures! I am your host, Corvus, but let's get this auction started shall we?!"

A polite applause erupted from the crowd as the dynamic of the market seemed to change from a rowdy get together to a posh affair. "Our first item up for bid is this deadly gadget!" The bomb was wheeled up on stage, accompanied by the technopath who had built the device. He stepped forward and bowed his head in respect to Corvus as the raven man left the stage. "This device could level an entire city block! It took months to assemble and there is only one like it in all of Tokyo! I will start the bidding at...." The scientist pondered for a minute, but then raised his hand. "...6 Million Yen!"

Corvus descended the stage as the crowd began to make their bids and the auctioneer took over the stage. He sauntered through the crowd once more, mingling and making sure that people were behaving and bidding. That was when he stumbled upon James. "There you are." Suddenly the immediate area around Corvus grew cold as his hand opened. His shadow came to life and shot across the market floor like a snake. It jumped from one shadow to the next, building a network of control for Corvus, even linking to Alphonso's shadow while until eventually it latched on to James'. The little thief's shadow exploded into an army of hands that begin to loot through his pockets and empty them of everything, even things he owned. "I appreciate and admire the tenacity, but no one steals from my guests in my own home." Corvus declared as he approached James. People watched in awe as the tiny shadow hands robbed James of any and everything. "What should we do with a little mouse like you? This is the first time I've had to deal with a fox in the hen house." Someone suggested breaking James' hands and then all sort of violent demands were being shouted with people calling for the young criminal's head. "Hm."

1672594337454.png"There you are Al." Liquid Fox finally found the man and rushed over to him with a noticeable collection of goods in her arms. He large, white tail swayed around behind her, hitting anyone that stood to close as she she presented her prizes to her mentor. "Someone was selling this beautiful accessories they stole from one of those fancy boutiques in Tokyo. They gave me a great deal on them too. My sisters are going to love these." She joined the man in his solitude while she rifled through her new toys. "Anything catch your eye yet?" kaori looked up to the mastermind and then looked out to the crowd.

He could hardly believe the turnout tonight! There were so many warm bodies in such a tight cluster, he could hardly contain his bloodlust. Barb wire flaring through his veins like steel flowers as they were itching to bloom. It had been sometime since he tasted red drink, but his boss had been adamant about reigning in his urges, but...when a buffet like this is offered so freely, how could he resist? He was under the belief that he had simply been born this way, and desire was the roadway to happiness. He considered it a sin to not do what you love, far worse than any he committed certainly. Phantom had arrived to defend the chickadee, and he couldn't help but find it cute. It solidified that they indeed had a connection of some kind, and between the matching animal attributes, he could make a guess it was familial.

"Free time is all I have, and I see more than a few items He'd find interesting... I know I do. How far can you stretch before you break? More than her...you think?" He said, looking passed her, to the departing chibi. It was equal parts threat and truth. A host of warm bodies making themselves known as Lucky, Don, and Phantasm arrived. Lucky was one he had dealings with in the past, solely due to the boss they shared. He couldn't help but imagine him doing what rabbits did the best, run.

"I would've packed ruffage if I knew you were going to be here, Carrots" Snare replied, watching Lucky with predatory interest as he chatted up Phantom, though Phantasm and Don distracted him from acting on any of his bad habits "Clothes make the man, and I like to think that I am very well made indeed. I can't say so for our tragic cowboy here, Yosemite Sam" He said, spurring Lucky with absolute delight. Phantasm causing some serious customers to take notice as he used his quirk, and Snare felt his eardrums pulse. It had been so long since he had been around this many living bodies, His eyes watering as they rolled into the back of his head; there was just so much conflict in the air already and he could barely handle his excitement. Surely he wouldn't be mad if Snare just-

It was then Corvus started to speak up from the stage and halted a very possible altercation. Snare biting his lip so hard behind his mask, he tasted blood. The Master of Ravens greeted them all, thanking them for coming and kicked off the main event. The Auction starting off without a hitch as Corvus took his leave after his announcement. Snare breathing in deeply as he tracked him through the crowd, watching as he confronted an apparent thief. Choices, Choices...

"
8 Million" Snare called and raised a gloved hand, there were always such wonderful uses for a bomb. He loathed such impersonal killing methods, but such a thing would be one hell of a trump card in the future.

Snapshot
[Clayton Veyer]

Clayton's head swiveled to look at certain person that approached him; one of the deadliest villains in Japan, Snare. "Ah, Snare. Someone I wasn't looking forward to meet in this place." He spoke, fully intending to let Snare hear him. "It's not a pleasure to meet you, but certainly you have my respect." He commented as he bowed back. He was confident Snare wouldn't act up while under the watch of the Free Ravens, as although he was a lunatic in Clayton's eyes, he believed that even he wouldn't take the ire of countless villains. Just as he was going to continue the conversation, the variety of villains attending the auction diverted his and Snare's attention, and his interest on the invisible woman piqued his interest as well.

"I never thought there would be this many going for the woman." He murmured as he looked around. A man whose eyes looked dead, a bunny person, people with fox-like features, a man clothed with elegance, a man that seemed like they came from the future, and of course the showrunners of the market. He knew all of them, from the dead fish Ozul, to the Fox Sisters, to Corvus himself. Though he knew nothing about their personal information, he was well informed of the influence they all held. After all, he would be treading Japan in ignorance if he didn't even know Japan's most wanted villains.

It wasn't like he did not anticipate the participation of some of the most wanted villains in Japan, but to see them collectively gather for the auction was still a sight to behold. Still, he was wary of the others, as customary, but his outward appearance expressed no nervousness as he casually settled himsself in. The auction started without hesitation and almost instantly a problem occurred. It was not entirely a big one, but a thief was caught stealing, in the Raven Market. The market overseered by the Free Ravens, out of all places. Clayton sighed, wondering why people like the thief still existed in this place. He shook his head as he watched James being restrained. "Do the twirlies on him!" He suggested, rotating his arm around like he was readying a lasso.

All the while this happened, he picked up the voices of the others and their supposed plans in the auction. It was nothing much really, as it were similar to what the others in the auction had gathered for; to buy things. Besides, the chatter of the crowd made it hard for him to pick up anything specific. As for the bomb that was being auctioned, Clayton had no interest in it. What would he do with a bomb? Destroy a city block? For what? He saw no benefit for it, and instead let the others harp on it.

Mentions: Garbage Pail Kid Garbage Pail Kid (Snare)

Johnathan's attention flitted about here, there, and everywhere as he tried to track the going's on around him. He spotted several job opportunities around him that would net him experience, and he was about to walk towards one advertising a robbery when he spotted him. It was Snare, one of the few villains that he recognized out of the crowd of nobodies. Not for the last time he adjusted the skull mask that hid his identity in the crowd. Not that many knew what he looked like, but it wouldn't be great to have anyone who wanted to get back at his father recognize him. Whether he liked him or not the man was the #12 hero and many around him might seek to take him hostage for that fact alone. Satisfied with the placement of the mask, he moved in to listen in on the man's conversations. If he could gain the assistance of the insane criminal perhaps he could learn a thing or two from him. He listened quietly in the crowd to Snare speak to a succession of other criminals. He watched the man carefully noting everything he could. Even the latent... excitement? That last observation came as he watched Snare watch a thief be manhandled by Corvus. He briefly broke his study to gaze at the lots on the stage. The bidding had already jumped to 6 million yen to start. He had stolen a lot from his father, but not enough that he could just blow six million yen to just get into a bid. He was amazed when the hand of Snare went up and immediately called out 8 million though. He thought the man used more... personal methods then a bomb. He frowned as he briefly wondered if he had picked the right villain.

As Murasaki walks away from the cage, she swears she hears someone call out quietly "Please...". She's pretty sure, if her guilty conscience isn't playing a trick on her, she knows who said it. Pissed, and depressed, and not mature enough to process her emotions, she decides to head back to the vendors. Surrounding herself in luxury, and contraband luxury at that, always made her feel better. And maybe she could grab some food while she was over there. Finding a pop-up selling kushiyaki, Murasaki orders a sea turtle and a giant panda, both of which were expensive and illegal, two traits Murasaki believed enhanced the quality of any object. Damn, this is good! Maybe if they didn't taste so good they wouldn't be endangered. It's their own fault really, when you think about it. Just like that invisible woman. She shouldn't have gotten herself caught. I mean, she can turn invisible, how'd she fuck that up? She thought it, but deep down she didn't believe it. She finished her skewers quickly, the site of them just pissing her off more. A booming voice announced the start of the auction. I should find Kaori. She'll cheer me up. While Katsumi had often taken a motherly role, Kaori still spoiled her. She couldn't talk to Katsumi anyway, now that she knew she was here to buy the invisible woman for whoever she worked for. As Murasaki made her way through the crowd, weaving and bending to avoid contact, some commotion caused the people to become agitated. "Watch it! Don't shove!" She had to twist and contort more than usual to stay clear of the bustling crowd, the cause of which she couldn't see do to her short stature. As she attempted to make her way through a particularly dicey patch of attendees, she was shoved and tripped, stumbling forward to collide with someone hard. Her bad mood and momentary frustration made her forget what a dangerous and unfamiliar place she was in. "Hey! Watch where you're going, gesuyarou!" She looked up to see who she collided with. A tall man clad entirely in black, with a strange helmet stood before her, his shadow stretching out across the floor like it was alive.

James struggled for a moment looking into the eyes of each of the men restraining him before giving a coy little smile as the men suddenly looked around for where he may have gone, for now they could not perceive him there. To them he was gone like dust in the wind, not Snapshot of course no he slowly made his way over dusting his shirt off. "security sucks here, they just let me walk right in" James didn't look menacing or villainous at all really more like a lost accountant, speaking as if talking to his coworker. "I don't suppose you could help me out? I'm trying to test a small theory." James spoke as if he weren't just restrained against his will, partly because what he was aiming for had succeeded, in fact he couldn't be happier.

Alphonso H. Sabater
Alphonso skimmed his tongue against his lip, prodding the cigarette in little droplets of focus and sweeping across the endless bodies. Endless bodies ensnared in commotion, driving up the market — the market which was lightning in a bottle. Charged up in anticipation. He could see a few people, names, spoken in the trenches of dirt & shadows. Whispered violently by heroes and cursed equally. He was the same, observing cautiously and tracking his way through the crowds. By nature, beneath the perceived calm and charming persona, his cruelty struck. It struck his eyebrows, climbing his forehead, dismissing the smaller villains which clung to his path and shooting his boots forward impassively. Leaning down into a smile, his expression cracked. “Your taste is wonderful, I am sure they'll be happy.” He agreed with her, her excitement drenched in a small spark. Illuminating the darkened circles to crease up in emotion. “I need you to do something for me.” He smoothed a wrinkle on his suit, watching as the fold disappeared beneath his fingertips and feathered up around his neck. “Grab me some hair, anyone, villains, weak or strong. Chaos is the biggest distracter, wouldn’t you agree?” Al had something in mind, slurring through the intricate gears in his head and assembling something wicked. Something about being a big payday.

Meanwhile, he needed to drive up his own distraction.

Corvus descended onto the scene, introducing a bar, his own threads of interest weren’t connected to such a device. Though, something could be done about that, dancing his fingers around his cigarette and reaching into his pocket for his lighter. With one flip, a small spark arrived that suffered in his grip. “8 million and one yen.” He waved his hand with his bidding. Tendrils of smoke littered his face and placing the lighter back into his jacket pocket. It swelled into his lungs like a pleasant release. Releasing all the anxiety into one breath, tasting bliss behind his teeth and inhaling further down his throat. If someone looked his way, winking was his approach, sultry in mockery and slanted eyebrows.

Chou Ayumu

Tutting, Ayumu dispelled the butterfly and instead took out his fan, letting it fall open and hiding the lower half of his face behind it coyly. "Now now, no need to get your panties in a twist, dear. It was a simple question." Still, he stepped back and returned to Snare and Phantom. Honestly, the ones who worked these events were always so worked up over the smallest things. Still, it seemed they intended on proving when she went up for auction that she was real so that was something at least. He smiled at the masked man with a smirk. "I always aim to look my best at any occasion of course. What's the point of showing up if you're going to look bad?" Next thing he knew, the auction was starting and Snare was bidding on the bomb. The rabbit had come to talk to the group in his absence but frankly, Ayumu probably shouldn't cause any more trouble with the guards. For now, he would wait and hold his funds until the woman was on the auction platform.

For better or worse, the group of three was rather conspicuous and had begun attracting the attention of others. The first to join them was Phantasm. While she had mixed feelings about how much of a shameless flirt and attention seeker he was, he was still preferable to Snare. "You're already getting lost in your own fantasies." she retorted, sighing in exasperation and shaking her head. "Still, at least you're taking this somewhat seriously." Phantom at least gave Phantasm credit for that much. He had even tried to follow through on Snare's doubts about the invisible girl being present. Unfortunately, it seemed unlikely they would risk their product potentially being put at risk to ease the concerns of a skeptic, considering their history running the market until now.

The second visitor was no less blindingly noticeable than the first time Phantom had seen him. It seemed that the cowboy rabbit from a moment ago had actually come to check on the group. As implied from his outfit, he seemed to be a foreigner, and his Japanese was equally as rough as expected. What further surprised her was actually hearing someone use the phrase "Howdy" outside of those ancient western movies. From how he spoke, it seemed that the rabbit was a part of security to some degree, so he was likely more reliable than he looked. His light jab at Snare earned him Phantom's approval and a soft snort from her in amusement, but she quickly became confused when he turned his attention toward her.

Perhaps it was a difference in customs or the language barrier, but Phantom couldn't help but interpret the rabbit's words as anything but an attempt to pick her up. If not for the fact that she was wearing a mask, he'd most likely see her somewhat confused and looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Um..yes, howdy." she replied unsurely, returning the howdy in equally rough English while giving him a polite nod of acknowledgment. "I'm Phantom Fox. You can call me Phantom, though." she introduced herself, attempting to be polite despite being slightly put off by the situation. As she was about to come up with an excuse to get him to leave her alone, she paused as her position fully processed. "Surrounded by short-tempered villains and including the psycho himself, Snare. A good distraction and meat shield might be worth the trouble." she thought to herself as she mentally weighed her options. "I'm here on business for the auction, but if you're inclined to continue our conversation, this is as good a spot to keep watch from, if any." she offered the rabbit.

It seemed that Chibi had made the wise choice to flee using the distraction of the new arrivals, and for that, she was relieved. This relief was short-lived as Snare threatened both her and her sister. She couldn't exactly treat it as an empty threat with how he was acting even more unhinged than usual, though. Biting her tongue, she responded with a cold "Maybe." as she attempted to act indifferent despite her cold sweat. Seeing that Snare was trying to look for any excuse by egging others on, she elbowed the rabbit and gave him a look of warning before he could sass the maniac further. Before anything could break out, Snare had luckily gotten distracted by The Master of Ravens, only to start bidding on the bomb for some god-forsaken reason. She had thought they'd temporarily be safe because of this, but then some idiot had to go out of his way to outbid Snare but a single yen. Already starting to see the writing on the wall, Phantom distanced herself from the direction Snare had gone and was already playing back escape paths and stands to hit on the way out.

Lucky
The Boy No Hat.jpg
Lucky sighed a little at how fast everything escalated, before people started making fun of his outfit, gritting his teeth a bit as his hand got into the pose of the usual quickdraw that a cowboy would do. However, he took a deep breath, ignoring the comments made by the villain, knowing that if he shot the man he'd lose out on one of his biggest employers. Ryuiki doesn't take kindly to anyone attacking members of his organization, even if it was someone as useful as Lucky himself.

"Fella, this costume costed more than yer head would be worth on a bounty board." He said, leaving it at that, relaxing his hand as the auction began, Lucky crossing his arms as he saw Snare start purchasing the bomb, sighing a little bit. He hated bombs, they were so messy, so unprofessional. Jobs should be done with efficiency and accuracy. Professionals like himself had no morals, although he himself did, but they all did have standards. And petty thugs like Snare were not fitting those standards.

However, then he got his response from Phantom, forcing a smile as he pulled down his bandana, revealing his young face and the scar across his nose.
"Heh, I'd be down to talk to ya miss Phantom! F-Folks call me Lucky." With the woman's enhanced hearing, it would be incredibly easy to hear his rapidly increased heart rate, almost thumping out of his chest, a drop of sweat from anxiety and fear, his body still screaming at him for being near a predatory quirk. His eyes flicked between her and Snare, realizing she was looking for escape routes, deciding to give an excuse for her to leave.

"Y'know, if yer lookin' fer someplace to go, I know a good place to get food, I'm friends with the owner, the place is Antonio's Pizza, it's really good." He offered, looking at her, taking off the Rabbits Eye to show he still had both eyes, putting away the high tech eye piece. "He's a good fella, deserves the business kinda thing y'know? I clean the place on weekends." He said, starting to ramble a little bit, his eyes flickering away as he seemed to refuse to make eye contact with the woman. As she'd likely see if she looked for a moment, his little cotton tail was shaking like crazy behind him.

The cold northern most island of Japan; the Hokkaido Prefecture. A blend of the rural and suburban lifestyles of Japan. From the cold weather, and unspoiled nature of the mountains. To the ever active red light district of Sapporo. Unbeknownst to those living in the city is a den of villainy. Far from the capital of Japan where the local hero association is most active. Here lies the Raven Market. A hidden black market where criminals and villains of all types make their business. The Free Ravens, the organizers of the entire market run a tight ship. Security was spared no expense and entry for even the most scrupulous of individual was fraught with peril. From the security, weapon restrictions, and barrier of entry everything was set up so as to allow a tense peace to exist. Nothing outside the decree of The Free Ravens would be allowed. "...This train is rushing on, joyously, intoxicated with its own speed. A more perfect game could not exist, for Lupin II."

Wading through the crowd with a confident stride was a well toned man. Despite the cold weather of Hokkaido which carried over even here undergrounde12abe34c6f91f39dba0645f7b7b508b6dcffb02.png he was was practically shirtless, showing off his well defined body with an open pride. Among the dark veils and foreboding presences of the many nefarious individuals gathered, his was a figure wreathed in white, blue, gold and red. If it wasn't for where they were he could have been seen as a clear image of a hero. "Woah this place is wild..." He peeked out at his surroundings through dark shades. Looking at the many stalls, shops and cliques he appeared impressed. His gaze noticeably stopping on many of the female villains, the more scantily clad the more he lingered. "I like it here already!" Clad in beach shorts, sandals, and strangely enough a surfboard. The auction was in full swing from where he stood he could see the Leader of the Free Ravens surveying the crowd and showing off the items for sale. Scanning the crowd his head shot from person to person calling out their offers. The sheer amount of money being thrown around would baffle the average working man. He merely smirked. While smiling at passerby's and perusing stalls his eyes landed on a large man smoking a cigarette, and more importantly the fox eared babe he was talking to. Running his hand through his hair he approached with a confident swagger.

"Sup man, couldn't help but notice you looking like one smooth operator back here. I dig it. Especially with a beauty like that on your arm." The man who looked like he was dressing for the beach looked the buxom fox women up and down and smiled. Despite his obvious lechery he seemed genuine, and even thrust out his arm to offer a handshake to Alphonso. "The names Gabriel, like the Angel." He flashed a friendly smile, his eyes still hidden behind his sunglasses. "So... that kinda stuff much interest to a guy like you? I myself don't see much use for it ya feel me?" Making himself at home likely presumptuously Gabriel planted his surfboard and leaned against it. He inclined his head calling attention to the auction area. Particularly the bomb they had on display.

Reo Yamamoto

sample-bd99a794e5f5f4c81990e5e0bc6e8850.png

Reo walked at a consistent pace through the area, the gal towering over most of the other people. She stood at over six and a half feet, and each and every foot was well muscled enough to show that she cared quite deeply about keeping up a fit body. There were a few days before school started, so she had some free time. Luckily, the principal had told her of a place where she could use that time well.

She entered a sales area, her eyes searching the interesting stalls. However, a good amount of them sadly put a bad taste in her mouth. Some of them were quite interesting, with stolen jewelry and the like. If she enjoyed wearing that kind of stuff, she wouldn't mind buying some. Also if she actually had the money to buy it. But stuff like food from endangered species being sold wasn't exactly something that she herself enjoyed. She enjoyed the perks of her job, but she could still dislike what some of the others did for the same job. After all, she had standards.

She over heard someone of the polar opposite viewpoint talking about how, if they didn't want to be endangered, they shouldn't be so tasty, before mentioning something condescending about an invisible girl getting captured. She sighed, thinking the girl was quite the asshole, before turning and starting to move through the crowd, her eyes catching upon a commotion occurring. Due to her higher vantage point she was able to make out what was happening. Specifically, the man announcing that they had a perfect heist plan like a lunatic. Her eyes went down to the idiot who had mentioned the endangered species and a captured invisible girl running face first into him and cussing him out because of it. However, when she looked at the situation from any angle, even someone like her could tell that the escalation of the situation wouldn't end with the fox girl in a good place. After all, at least the guy in the helmet seemed slightly competent, unlike the fox. She shouldered her way through the crowd, getting close to where the two were, just in case a fight needed to be broken up.
