Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

Thror looked at her curiously… something about her eyes were intriguing. He stepped closer to her.

"Reveal yourself foreigner, what is your name?" Thror asked. He motioned for a servant close by to bring food and refreshments. He sat at the head of a long table as the food and mead was placed on the table, he nodded to a chair close to him.

"Remove your coverings and sit with me…" Thror asked wanting to see the true face of the foreign woman.
(Sorry ProxCnc but what do you mean by camping?)

Ausinoe signed, knowing that her appearence would no doubt shock the king. However, she knew that she could not refuse him. "I understand, my lord."

Ausinoe undid the niqab around her face and pulled the burqa from her being, revealing a black skinned, horned, yellow eyed, finely featured woman of her mid twenties, in what could best be described as a mix between oriental and middle eastern dress. She kept her amulet in her belt, along with her prized possession, a knuckebone, in order to avoid frightening the king.
(ProxCnc, look above that post.)

(just a post to get me started and introducing myself)

The young female walked , with one foot in font of the other. In to the entrance of a forest with trees as tall as the elder trees. A small wind passed by her , allowing her hair freedom to fly behind her. Her curles floating like a river. Her pale body looked as if it was transparent when the sun rays hit her body though the trees that weren't set together so close and the leaves that had holes. Her right hand was petting the majestic black lion, its fur to glistening by the sun. Her eye s were close as she tilted her head to the right. Her eyelashes big and blonde as she began to hum a tune in her head. The lion looked over and up to her, as he opened hi mouth and let out a soft whine. She opened her eyes slowly and looked down toward the lion as she laughed a little. "Coro...it's only me and you now and that is all it well ever be." The lion whined again as he looked straight ahead. Deep down she believed that the world is beautiful, those who can not harm her in any way. Coro as so different though, he understood her pain and it seemed that he went through the same thing back in his home. She looked down away from Coro and pointed to the flowers that waved around like children dancing against the wind. "There...aren't they pretty, Coro"

The lion roared as he got closer to her , his side brushing against her legs. She slid her hand from his back , sliding through its fur then rubbed around his head. Coro purred as it looked back up at her. "oh you want a song." She nodded her head and looked up toward the blue open sky. The sun was setting and the birds began to silence themselves. The flowers stopped moving an the trees faded into nothing but darkness. "Dark the stars and Dark the moon" Her voice rang through the woods. Here voice was loud and soft, the lion purring more and more. "Hush the night and the morning loon" She smile down at the Coro then moved her self onto his back. Her body was light so she wasn't to heavy for him, and Coro didn't mind. "Tell the horses and beat on your drum". The lion stopped by a river that led downstream and over a cliff with flowers that ran on both sides. She brushed her hair behind her ears and watched a rabbit hop away. "Gone their master, gone their son," The song had dealt with her being back into her village. "Dark the oceans, dark the sky. Hush the whales and the ocean tide. Tell the salt marsh and beat on your drum. Gone their master, gone their son." Coro purred more as he began to walk again. Past the river and down into the deep forest.

Coro stopped and turned toward some trees with a gap. He narrowed his eyes then release a low growl. She tilted up her head then looked over toward the gap where Coro was looking at. "Coro?" She narrowed her eyes as her ears twitched. She slowly reached for her bow, taking over her body an into her hands. She held it firmly as she lifted up and turned it on its side, upward. She took an arrow from her holster that was located on her upper right thigh. She put it into the bow's place and pulled back as far as the wire could let her. She inhaled as she focused her eyes onto the gap. "Whoever you are, I'd advise you, to stand down and release your weapon." Coro's tail waved around high into the air as he opened his mouth wide. His teeth sharp and dripping with saliva. He was growling, as he leaned in. He dug his nails into the ground as he scratched the ground, the grass peeling away. She narrowed her eyes more as she hissed through her teeth. "Show yourself."

Thror jumped from his chair to draw his blade, but Ausinoe was so different and strange, he stopped and sat back down.

"Excuse my reaction m'lady, you have shown no ill will toward me so I shall show none to you as well," Thror said before taking a long drink of mead, his hand barely shaking the cup," tell me your name and of your home, surely you were not born in Elaria, and I will tell you of my home." Thror ordered. He had looked at her fearfully but the look subsided as intrigue came across Thror's face. He put a hand under his chin and waived his other hand to Ausinoe, signaling her to begin speaking.
Skjorn and his company made camp on a hill just north of the Dead Marsh. The wolf-men of the Gunnarulfr were efficient and accustomed to making large camps, they quickly set up and began cooking food and sharpening their weapons. Usually a Gunnarulfr camp was lively and fun but being so close to the Dead Marsh the camp had to not draw attention, even the younger pups weren't running and playing. Skjorn sat down by Havgre and some of the other Gunnarulfr who had gathered by a low fire. Havgre looked to Cypherion who he could tell was uncomfortable around the tribe.

"Sit General, do not fear my people, we are children of the moon… singers of the great life song. We love all of Elaria, and all who are born of her womb… we watch the night sky and walk the daylight. Our journey never ends until Odeklundr calls us home to the Great Mountain." Havgre said dreamily, almost sadly. Skjorn patted the wolf man's shoulder.

"We will end The March together my friend, and shall return to the Great Mountain under the moon together!" Skjorn said trying to cheer up Havgre. The Gunnarulfr selflessly had defended Odeklundr beside Skjorn and before him, they missed their home deeply and it filled their hearts with sorrow to hear words of Odeklundr. They sat around the fire and told Cypherion and Skjorn tales of their adventures. Havgre hushed his kin to speak of something important.

"Gorgun marches to the Dead Marsh, his army grows large and wide, if we meet him in battle we cannot win for we only number over a hundred strong… the Orcs range in the tens of thousands now and the only way to beat him and his kin would be to unite the three kingdoms…" Havgre explained. Skjorn stood defiantly.

"Never will Odeklundr side with Elves, if we are to die then Odeklundr stands alone!" Skjorn angrily replied. Havgre lowered his head.

"Elaria will never be free of the Undead with that kind of thinking Skjorn. Your sentiments will change before this is over." Havgre said wisely. Suddenly a howl rung out from a lookout, as five hundred Undead began to rise from the murky swamp and march towards the camp. Battle was upon them…

A mere rabbit hopped out of the spot and ran across to them. She had let out a sigh and lowered her bow. The arrow slipped back into it's holster as did the bow wrapping back around on her back. Coro began to move once more as she looked down toward her hand that was shaking. "I eager ...for battle, although I'm not to found of it." Coro roared as he looked back at her, with sorrowful eyes. "That time in my village, if I could I would have raised my bow and slaughter him. "She narrowed her eyes as she gritted her teeth. "...they casted me away, and set me out here with only my bow and arrow...how crude of them." Coro let out a roar that could be heard from miles as he looked up toward the moon. Her eyes met his , but soon left as she started to the ground, with a disgusted look in her own race, her on kind. "We are supposed to be noble creatures, those who find the beauty in everything and to wish that they are kept well...we are creatures who find the balance in the wrong and right and not just give UNFAIR TRIALS."

Coro continued to move as her eyes were wide and her teeth gritted across another. "I hate my kind the most, noble no liars yes." Her body was going up and sown due to coro shoulder blades, and how he walked. "I made an oath that day...that I will no allow him to live, that is my goal...I will come back stronger and kill the leader of our village for casting me out without hearing my innocence." Coro looked back at her as tears flowed through her eyes. Running down her cheeks like a stream. Her beauty shown by the moon as she tries to wipe them away. Coro was fascinated by this young elf, but soon stopped as he sniffed the night's air. He growled once more as he looked around frantically. "...what's wrong Coro?" Coro looked back at her and began to run. Her side position was no longer acquired as she full sat on him, her hand's tightly grasping his mane as he runs with great speed. The tears that were once there, left by the wind. "Wha....what's wrong." Coro could smell it, the undead in the air of what should have been something that smelled like sweat due and the aroma of the flowers.

Ausinoe had expected a reaction as this, having received it many times from others who first laid eyes upon her strange and semi-demonic appearence. Fortunately, her ability to freeze her features form revealing emotion allowed her to remain motionless and expresisonless during the king's start, although inside she was becoming nervous. Would the guards and inhabitants have stopped their fear from becoming violent in such a timely manner as the king? she thought to herself as she folded the black garmet and placed in on her lap. She eyed the mead before her, and although she was tempted, she knew that alcohol was absolutely out of the question. The last staple of civilized conversation was to lose control of herself in another fit of drinking. The meat looked quite appetizing, and maybe with a side of blood, garlic, and noodles, she could see herself eating it in Asparas, not that she could eat it. First there was the matter of a lack of chopsticks, or even flatbread to scoop up the dish into her mouth. Secondly, in Muruthani culture, it was considered rude to gorge oneself in front of others. Being so hungry, Ausione knew that she would certainly let her gluttonous side show if she took more than a few bites. She contented herself with small bits of bread, and continued to struggle with the strange utensils until the king beckoned her to speak.

"Please do not find fear in my appearence, I mean no harm to you or your people" Ausinoe kept her eyes on the food before her, clasping her hands together in what most humans would consider a position of prayer, but what the Murutha considered a sign of deep respect. "I am Ausinoe Thal Mun Asunime of the Murutha. I come from the great city Asparas in mountains far south of here, across a great sea, although which one I cannot say. I am a wanderer, and exile, and I have come to Elaria out of my nomadic wanderings."

Thror listened carefully, he was in awe of Ausinoe, she came from a foreign land and had strange exotic looks and actions. He was also intrigued learning that she too was a mountain dweller.

"Ausinoe of the Murutha, I invite you to stay in my home and the freedom to roam Odeklundr as you please, learn of my people and partake of our customs! My son Skudi will be your guide, he is a new member of Skjorn's order and will be honored to meet you."Thror announced. He signaled Skudi to come forth.

(I'm going to create another character, Skudi Throrsson)

Ausinoe was somewhat shocked that the king had accepted her so easily. "If I may ask my lord, why do you accept me into your realm with such open arms? I do not mean to dispute your wisdom in ruling, but I am confused. Is it because I am a friend of Skjorn?"

Thror chuckled.

"Skjorn is more protective of this mountain than I… and I'm the king. He would not have allowed you to freely travel here if you were a foe, you cannot trick that man! Please forgive me if I sound too gracious, Odeklundr is rich and we share our bounty with our friends. Please go… explore if you wish. Come back to my hall tonight so we can talk further… Skudi! Gaurd this woman with your life and show her a good time in our home!" Thror commanded. Skudi bowed to his father.

"Yes my king, come now I will show you the hollows if you like!" Skudi said almost excited to see this strange being.

(I put up a character sheet for Skudi! Get ready to get aqauinted!!)

Ausinoe bowed deeply to the king before departing with Skudi. Feeling safer to reveal her odd appearence after being accepted by the king, Ausinoe took her burqa and tucked it under her arm, following behind Skudi in a respectful manner. "A hollow, I take it that they are the caverns in which this city is built?"

Skudi nodded with a smile as they walked out onto the walkways of the Royal Hollow.

"Yes, you pick up quickly, there are Five Hollows, River Hollow where herders and fisherman live, Trader's Hollow where craftsman and merchants live, Warrior's Hollow where warriors live and train, Odek Mine where miners live and work, and The Royal Hollow where the King holds court, where he and my mother live, and where the legendary dragon slayers and royal guard Forad Banamadr and I call home. Is there anything you wish to know of our history or of the south's history, I have spent time learning these myself." Skudi rambled excitedly. They passed by others who at first trembled and watched the outsider but eventually people just wanted to greet her.

She rode in to the night , the lion running as fast as it ever could. Her hair not having a chance to bounce back from her back. Her eyes were narrowed as she whistled, like a mocking jay. The sound was repeated as a crow came from behind one of the trees. The crow landed on her shoulder as it cawed several of times. "Go Coro we must hurry." She felt an un easy vibe through her gut, as if something was tugging on her. Coro knew something was up and ran as fast as he could. She sat up from him and unraveld her hand from his mane. she slipped the bow from her side and held it out , the arrow locking into place and pulling it back.

She took a deep breath, as she narrowed her eyes. She inhaled from within and exhaled a roar, to those who were up ahead. She could see the smoke, proabably caused by a fire. "RISE FROM YOUR SEATS THERE IS TROUBLE NEARING YOU." She inhaled again as she looked around, the arrow still pulled back for ready fire, incase something appeared out of now where.

Lea is walking through the woods not to far from the cave where she has lived for years and will live for more years to come with Nagia(the Linx) right beside here as she is waundering about which she normaly doesnt do until it becomes night. She sighs contently as the peacefulness of everything relaxes her and she then set her bow and arows by a tree that it next to a small pond and leans against the side of the tree thats facing the water as Nagia lays beside her"today seems peaceful enough for now but i can feel like something is coming to ruin it"She mutters quietly to herself and looks down at the cool serene water.

"To be honest with you, I barely know anything of your land. I came here by an accident of fate. You see, I come from a city far to the South and across a great ocean. The Murutha - my people - are used to a warm climate. furthermore, because I come from such a place, and live in the wilderness, I perfer to stay in such a climate. There I know the plants and the ins and outs of the land, and my chance of long term survival is higher. Unfortunately, while I was staying in a town to the South, missionaries to a faith in the town called me a demon, and tried to have me hanged. I stowed away on a merchant's ship as soon as I could, but I had no idea it would take me so far north." Ausinoe explained, in awe of the beauty of the bioluminescent plants around her. Even in the caves of Asparas, no such beauty existed. The caverns - where she was trained as an Ashaltum - were often the home of smugglers and criminals. They acted as storage for weapons and food and hideaways for illegal cultists. The rivers that ran through them that weren't used for drinking water were used to divert the cities sewage. She turned away suddenly to catch a small glowing leaf falling from the vines above. It was beautiful, greenish blue, reminiscent of the jade she had seen mined in her village as a young girl."When I came along this land's coast, I was found by one of the crew. They threw me onto the nearest pier, and I ran into the forest. Until I met Skjorn the other day, I had no idea that this land was even inhabited by more than wild beasts."

The undead were hideous and decomposing as they rose from the swamp like mist on water. A low guttural growl came from the rotting mouths of the foul creatures. The camp was full of activity as the pups were rounded up to be hidden. The warriors gathered to meet the undead, Skjorn and Havgre were at the front of the warriors. Weapons drawing and growling filled the air until Havgre moved to speak.

"My sisters and brothers, man and beasts, the undead gather to defy us passage into the Dead Marsh. Fight for you honor, and die in battle like your ancestors. But I have not traveled this long and far to die at the hands of corpses! Fight with me my kin, put these lost souls in their place ONCE AND FOR ALL!" Havgre barked before howling which caused the rest of the Gunnarulfr to howl in defiance, Skjorn bellowed savagely beating his axe on his chest. Then they charged…

The battle was intense, though the creatures were rotting they still fought as if they were young and healthy. Skjorn and his allies were outnumbered but their sheer skill evened the odds a bit. Skjorn cut through them like silk, spinning around brutally smashing his axes into heads, necks, and chests. The Gunnarulfr fought viciously showing their wolf ancestry with swiftness and uniformity as the pack struggled against the larger force set upon them…

Coming from within the forest she appeared from the trees on the lion that is unknown to most me or any creature. The black lion roared as it took in one of the undead into it's mouth. The female aimed her arrow at one and release. The arrow was like a bullet , it left the bow swiftly and puncutured the undead in the center of the head. She smiled as she jumped off of the lion. Se twirled in mid air then landed in front of the warrior and shot an arrow In to it's head. She glared at them as she swung the end of her bow to one who was approaching to her left. "CORO TO YOUR RIGHT." The lion roared as he ran to his right, bardging through them all, biting their head's off one by one.

Her ears twitched as she pulled another arrow, and released it into it's head. She jumped back again her chest bouncing up and down. Coro looked and road in delight. She looked toward coward and narrowed her eyes. "PAY ATTENTION" Coro shrieked as he continue to move toward the right. she released another arrow to another undead. She smiled as she turned to Coro. "DON'T LET ONE ESCAPE, KILL THEM ALL." She roared as Coro replied with a roar to.

Skudi soaked in all the new information and was thrilled, he thought for a moment and had a visible epiphany.

"There are more people when you travel south in Elaria, though towns are almost unheard of their are two strongholds. Ebonhold watches over rolling hills and vast grasslands and…" Skudi trailed away for a moment, but began again talking quitely than before,"there is Al'Sadirhimina, the home of elves in the hot and sandy G'Desh desert. People around here don't like talk about elves, it gets them… well, violent." Skudi explained further.

Ausinoe smiled slightly through her usually stoic expression at Skudi's excitement. She could tell that his mind was racing, and that he was thrilled to learn about the world around him. He would be regarded highly in Muruthani society, where intelligence and innovation were among it's chief values. "Violent? These 'elves' are violent when people talk about them? Or does talk of the elves anger the people?"

She turned her head toward the on coming creatures . she narrowed her eyes as she slid he bow back on her back and ran. She pulled out two knives and sliced the two that were in front of her. She quickly pounced onto the male known as Skjorn and moved him out of the way. Her body was fully on him as she pulled her bow once more and shot four arrows. One to the head, the other to the jugular the next to the stomach and the last to his lower section. She let out a sigh until another began to appear. She laid down , her face closed to the male as she rolled him over once again.

Winding up on top once more she aimed her bow and short four once more, her lion taking over by charging and taking the creature with in his tight jaws.
