Lea thinks about it then turns around and nods and him and replies"i guess it wouldn't hurt to join you...... ok then we will join ive really got no where ut a cave to go back to so i will go with yall" she looks at skjorn as she says this. she then looks down at Nagia and rubs her head lightly and then looks at the celebrating men.
(The Gunnarulfr aren't men they are Wolf-Men, not werewolves, and goddessofgod Skjorn already introduced himself why did you say your name and ask "and you are"?)
In the marshlands a young woman lied waiting by a dead oak tree. She was bruised and bloody. Her hair drenched by sweat she heard a yell. It was deep. She knew what it was. She stood up aching from running away from the orcs for at least two days by now. She started to climb up the dead oak tree. She grabbed to what seemed to be a study branch. She heard cracking but it was to late for her to react when the branch broke off. That was the only way of her to stay up at that height by now. She fell from a good ten feet high. She hollered in pain forgetting about the nearby orcs. She got up wielding Leona with both hands. " Leona give me strength to survive." These words seemed to echo through the hollow swamps. Two nearby orcs noticed her location running towards the girl. Svala chuckled. She jumped above the orcs doing a back flip. When she can down like a guillotine she chopped one of the orcs in half. The other one screamed a battle cry and charged her. She twirled decapitating the last orc's head off. Leona seemed tired off sour blood. She started to rush outside of the swamp. Night was falling.
Skjorn led the elves into the camp where Havgre had gathered all of the Wolf-Men. He walked close to the fire.
"We lost brothers and sisters today," some Gunnarulfr began to ceremoniously burn their fallen dead," but they return to mother moon and hunt the forever forest! They died so that we may go on and bring back days of old to Elaria!" Havgre said ending with a howl for his dead comrades who were burning. The Gunnarulfr mourned their dead but quickly returned to their jobs and activities.
Gazgull shifted his head. the rest of him was underwater and hidden. his skin blended in with the swamp water near perfectly."what was that?" he heard the warcry of one of his mob. "Hoi who had ta go and get themselves a fight early?! Snikrit go and find the lad that got himself a fight. and be sneaky bout it if that blasted girl is still out there don't try and stab her again."
Eimin had take her place on a small rock as she smiled down toward Coro who weaved his way in between her legs. He purred as he rest his head on her lap, his red eyes looking up at her. she looked away fro a second , and down to her collected arrows and her knife. "thank you Coro" The lion whined as It smiled . His eyes closing in hope for another song to sooth his raging heart. Being in his true form brought back to many painful memories , and on that night when she had sung to him , it felt like all of those memories faded away. she smiled as she ran he fingers through his hair and closed her eyes." you want a song do you ..to sooth your aching heart.
she hushed his whine and leaned in putting her forehead onto his his. "Which would you like me to sing."
She started rushing back out of the swamp. " Leona please. I ask for your mercy." She continued on. She nearly tripped on every root on a tree. She had to get out before the orc war leader found her. Who knows what he would do if he found out what she did to his men. She finally did it, she successfully snapped her ankle in a root. She landed on the ground with such force it knocked the wind out of her. She winced in pain trying not to give out her location.
She held him close and smiled as she let out a small tune escape her lips. she wouldn't think with all the noise the beast men were making would be able to hear her song so she sung low and for Coro to hear.
Far over the Misty Mountains rise. Leave us standing upon the heights. What was before, we see once more. Our kingdom a distant light. Fiery mountain beneath the moon. The words unspoken, we’ll be there soon. For home a song that echoes on. And all who find us will know the tune. Some folk we never forget. Some kind we never forgive. Haven’t seen the back of us yet. We’ll fight as long as we live. All eyes on the hidden door. To the Lonely Mountain borne. We’ll ride in the gathering storm. Until we get our long-forgotten gold.
Her voice was smooth and light as she looked into Coro's eyes. Coro purred as it dug into her lap and smiled up at her . His ears lowered as he purred more and more, The fire flickering beside her as if it was dancing to her song.
Skudi smiled at Ausinoe, seeing that she could use more smiles in her life. He showed her around until they reached River Hollow, the most beautiful place in all of the North. Bioluminescent vines lined the ceiling and strangely even patches of grass could be seen. A herd of caribou and its herder passed by them, the herder waved politely, a large river with small creeks spread throughout River Hollow. Small bioluminescent trees dotted the vast expanse.
"This is but one custom that I created myself, relaxing!" Skudi said laughing. (OMG GODDESSOFGOD IM LISTENING TO THAT RIGHT NOW! AWESOME!)
The Gunnarulfr heard the elf singing and stopped what they were doing. Even Skjorn approached her and looked with sorrow.
"Will you sing it again… for all of us?" Skjorn asked almost emotionally. The wolf-men watched as they thought of their long lost mountain home.
"It is beautiful here..." Ausinoe sat quietly, taken aback by the ghostly essence of the cavern. " I'd like to ask you a few questions, to learn more about your people." She returned to Skudi a while later. The outcast mulled over what she would need to know to fit into this place, but instead decided to focus on broader, cultural issues at the moment. The people of Odekulnr seemed to have a very tolerant view of forgeiners, she needed little reassurance of her safety. The seven elements of a culture... oh, Alaashru, I've forgotten them... could it be... religion, prejudice, writing, art, language... She flashed back to her days in Asparas, studying the humanities in her caravan while not hunting down the accursed. She remembered reading an old tome by an ancient Encathani traveller, and coming to a chapter titled "Man's measure". The section focused on comparing levels of civilization and equality accross peoples. The one qoute that stuck out in her mind was The measure of any society's humanity it how it treats it's women. "Firstly, how do your people view women." She began politely. Ausinoe had read of societies that treated women horribly, and those who elevated them to the highest degree. She thought back to the chivalrous manner that Skjorn had treated her with, although she was unsure if he had simply.o because she was weak and lost in the cold.
She looked up at them with amazement and nodded her head with a smile. The fire rose a she held onto coro. Her voice was reaching with evry note as she sung it from the heart. Coro whine a little as she sung loud for all to hear
"Far over the Misty Mountains rise. We lay under the Misty Mountains cold .In slumbers deep and dreams of gold.
We must awake, our lives to make. And in the darkness a torch we hold. From long ago when lanterns burned. Till this day our hearts have yearned. Her fate unknown the Arkenstone. What was stolen must be returned. We must awake and make the day. T o find a song for heart and soul. Some folk we never forget. Some kind we never forgive. Haven’t seen the end of it yet. We’ll fight as long as we live. All eyes on the hidden door. To the Lonely Mountain borne. We’ll ride in the gathering storm.Until we get our long-forgotten gold. Far away from Misty Mountains cold."
"Some women live in the brothels and some sell wares in the market, others fight as warriors and members of Forad Banamadr. All are treated as equal to a man, honestly women here won't hesitate to hit a man if you are unfaithful or call them out of their names. We've even had queens as the sole rulers throughout our history." Skudi explained to Ausinoe.
Gazgull smelt Snikrit when he entered the pool with him. turning we barked at him " alrigth wheres me boy that got himself a fight?" Snikrits eyes were the only thing sticking out of the water so he started to swim up and tread water. " that blasted girl got 2 of da boys. found her thought. hurt herself tryin to run away." Gazgull chuckled. "go out there with the Comandos and bring me that blasted girl. and don't get yerself killed. we still have a big fight coming." turning Snikrit swam out and gather 12 orcs that were nearly perfectly camouflaged and ran into the swamp making no noise at all.
The whining sounds of a hound could be heard from the Gunnarulfr. They had been gone for eight years and missed the Great Mountain under Mother Moon. Skjorn tightened his fists as a single tear fell from his eye. Odeklundr was his home and he had no blood family left alive, he stood there strongly and proudly. When she stopped singing howling full of sorrow went into the night air, Skjorn looked to Eimin and nodded very respectfully before sitting on a bench by the fire, staring deeply into the flames.
"And what of justice?" Ausinoe responded. They seemed to be a practical minded people, and it seemed most likely to her that they would take the most practical route of punishment: an eye for an eye. Unlike the Murutha, these people were not burdened with constant philosphical debate on the most humane but most effective means of righting wrongs. "In Asparas, I remember two factions in the Muruqyuradh debating fericely over the effectiveness of the A'qim school of law."
She let out a smile then looked to all those who had shed a tear. It made her happy that the song touched their heart along with Coro. She tried to find some words for this situation and had to think it through so she didn't harm any ones feelings. "....You know, she is always in your heart...mother moon that is, I believe that is who you all miss the most." Her words were for everyone around the fire as so for Coro who missed his home. "you all may be far apart , and you home sickness must be hard to bare, but don't forget she's always there in your heart. "She smiled toward the leader as she nodded her head/
"Um...excuse my words, I may not know the current situation of your travels but I can tell you yern for things that are out of your reach. In time you will get there, and if you don't mind I would be glad to help." She laughed a little as she heard herself, almost sounding like she was trying to sell herself to them. She sighed hoping her words of hope would cheer them in the slightest.
"Be you murderer, thief, or traitor… you are put to death. But this happens rarely here, everyone knows everyone, its quite peaceful in Odeklundr. In certain cases you could just be put in Odek Mine to work until the end of your days." Skudi explained thinking of the last criminal in Odeklundr, but that was over two years ago.
"What of your open mindedness to forgieners? In other villages people thought me a demon and tried to hang me, but here, the people seem nearly unaffected."
(Cool! Now remember make it good but the Gunnarulfr and The other Rpers make it out alive from a battle unless they kill their own character off, sorry if that's a bit controlling, your the only bad guy! Lol)
