Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

Ebonhold the last remnant of the powerful old kingdom… the walls are massive and black, on the top soldiers march back and forth in their armor… the gate is also massive and made of thick dark wood, from a distance you can see houses and buildings as well as smoke from chimneys rolling into the air… elevated above it all the towers and beautiful architecture of Castle Ebonhold. A horn sounds as the army of King Skudi approaches the walls of Ebonhold.

Skjorn who was next to Ausinoe being pulled on a cart by oxen, put his hand calmingly on her shoulder.

"Calm yourself, you have been out for almost four days, we're outside Ebonhold! We were in the tavern when you passed out remember?" Skjorn reassured her, not knowing the origin of this "Sanctum" that she spoke of.

"Remember... barely... I've been out for FOUR DAYS?" She shook her head in disbelief and covered her face with her hands.

Skjorn chuckled lightly.

"A little heavy on the drinking you went, and you executed a man for insulting your child… do you remember that?" Skjorn asked still nervous from her rage before.

Skjorn looked ahead to see twenty or so black and gold armored men riding on black and gold armored horses to the front of the march. Skudi trotted past Ausinoe and Skjorn, wearing the leather and iron armor of his father as he met the riders. The riders stopped all at once as Skudi approached them. One of the riders trotted out to meet Skudi,

"Halt Northman, in the name of the king I demand to know the purpose of this army's march!" The rider commanded, Skudi stiffened up,

"I am Skudi Throrsson, king under the mountain, ruler of Odeklundr… I seek the aid of your king, and you are?" Skudi asked,

"Commander Tiberius Sun-Slasher, of the Ebonguard! So king Thror has died… your army can make camp outside the walls, but you may bring your companions along, we shall await you at the EbonGate!" Commander Tiberius said as he turned away and followed by the other Ebonguards rode for the gate to await the north men. Skjorn ordered the men to make camp as he gathered up the strange companions of King Skudi and led them to him as he dismounted his horse.

"Show your utmost respect when entering the Ebonhold… these people are proud and the last of the old kingdom, and their walls have stood for eons so do not get us into any trouble!" Skudi said, looking to Ausinoe especially after her episodes.

Ausinoe nodded with silent self-loathing, failing to take in her new surroundings in her horror. She sat in silence, entering into a meditative state to calm herself.

You have failed as the first contact the Murutha have had with the west. My people do not deserve to be... marred by my stupidity....

They came to the gate where the EbonGuard and soldiers of Ebonhold awaited them, they escorted Skudi, Skjorn and their strange companions to Castle Ebonhold, where all the royals and the king himself awaited the party. The king approached swiftly hesitating as he saw Ausinoe only to continue towards Skudi,

"Skudi! I haven't seen you since you were a young lad… my condolences for your father…" King Ancis Griffon Shield greeted Skudi with a bow in respect, which Skudi returned.

"It is an honor to be in the Ebonhold your highness, but we have pressing matters to discuss!" Skudi greeted back, King Ancis looked to Ausinoe then back to Skudi.

"I believe we do!" Ancis said as he shooed off the nobles and led them into the grand throne room, a magnificent large room with black marble and gold inlay everywhere you could look, a long black marble and gold lined table stood in the middle of the chamber in front of the Ebony Throne(made of pure ebony and gold :P )

Ausinoe immidiately wrangled her grief to the back of her mind and entered into her diplomatic mode, bowing to the king, but remaining silent. She was racked with loathing for her actions in Odeklundr, mentally unprepared to be an audience to the king of Ebonhold. She silently clutched the fingerbone she carried with her gain and waited for her companions to initiate the speaking, too mentally overwhelmed think of what to say herself.
She was frankly surprised tat the king was taking her foreigness so well.
