Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

Here we go.... She clutched at the knife under her cloak, hoping she wouldn't have to use it, but knowing she probbably would. Ausinoe expected the king to attempt to imprison the group at best, and execute them at worst. She eyed the guards with deep seated suspicion as they drew close, waiting for their assurance that she and Skudi were exiled and not to return.

The guards approached and looked to Skudi, one of them spoke up,

"You travel with outcasts and outsiders… Skjorn Kelison, we cannot allow you entry…" the guard said nervously. Skjorn grew irritated quickly as he looked to the guard who was talking.

"You… dare…not allow me entry into my own home? Stand aside younglings or prepare to earn you place in the heavens!" Skjorn ordered as he drew an axe, how dare them think to talk to Skjorn like that. The other guard reached for his sword but the talking guard stopped him.

"I'm… I'm… I am sorry High Master Skjorn… forgive me… please don't tell the king I let you in!" The guard said timidly as he stepped out of their way. Skjorn looked at him with disgust.

"Coward! You should have tried to die for your king! Do not try now!" Skjorn scolded him as he led the group past.

Ausione sighed with relief and hurried along her path, scoffing at the guards looks at her. "There must be more guards inside. We must be careful not to let them surround us. I do not believe we will make it through this without a fight."

"Leave that to Skjorn, no man will challenge him inside Odeklundr!" Skudi said as they neared the entrance. Skjorn turned to him swiftly,

"Hush Boy! Take this more seriously!" Skjorn scolded Skudi.

"Yes master." Skudi replied. They walked through the hollows causing a commotion as people looked on, some even were angry that elves had entered the Hollows, a guard approached Skjorn as they entered the Warrior's Hollow reaching for his sword, Skjorn swiftly punched him knocking him to the ground unconcious, the other guards acted as if nothing had happened. They entered the Royal Hollow and were stopped by all of the Forad Banamadr. A senior member stepped up.

"High Master, King Thror awaits in the Throne Room, I will not deny you access nor will I deny Skudi or the Foreigner, but the Elves must stay here with us, no harm will come upon them unless they provoke it." The senior member said with a bow followed by the rest of the Forad Banamadr bowing. Skjorn nodded.

"Eimin… Desert Elf, I'm sorry but you must stay with my kin, you will be safe just don't be foolish." Skjorn said respecting the rules of the Throne Room.

Ausinoe cast a sympathetic glance at Skudi. What hell it must have been to be banished by one's own father, and to meet armed resistance upon returning home!

I would hope that his story of exile does not go so far as mine.... She thought as the group entered the throne room.

Ausinoe had been calculating her possible methods of making the case to the king. She did not want to resort to using magic, even the Sain, as the king would most likely see this as a blatant disrespectful gesture to his wisdom "if he truly had any, as she wondered" and a threat to his authority as king. She bowed as they approached, although she had a powerful dislike for this man and grimaced at showing such respect to a monarch who was throwing his kingdom to the wolves.
At worst we may be able to sway the Queen...

(OMG I forgot about Havgre! Just fill in the blanks guys! He's outside with Eimin and Sheva)

Thror looked to Skjorn and only Skjorn as they approached, each of them bowing to the king.

"Tell me Skjorn… what is it that would possess you to bring so many outsiders and outcasts… knowing you face death upon breaking our laws!" Thror asked sarcastically. Skjorn looked at his friend with anger as he approached him violently.

"YOU BANISHED YOUR OWN SON AND CONDEMN YOUR KINGDOM TO RUIN!!!" Skjorn said causing Thror to become outraged.

"My kingdom? This is OUR kingdom Skjorn, it belongs to every last northern man woman and child… but instead you and even my own son decide to have your heads filled with nonsense about Durtak! I understand she is special and unique but… you side against your own people Skjorn Kelison!" Thror replied with an angry growl.

"This man does not side against your people, king of Odeklundr."

Ausione stood, facing the king with the same diplomacy and gravity that she had used to those who downplayed the threat Shushannu posed to the Murutha.

"You have forced me from this kingdom upon my dire delivery of news. You have refused to let me speak, and thus you have unwittingly placed Odeklundr into danger. You most likely have your reasons for believing Dartak to be gone. He may very well be. But the news I brought you before wasn't about Dartak. As horrible as that man was for raising an army of orcs, he pales against the true threat to Odeklundr.... and the world. I bring you grave news, and it is imperative that you hear me."

"Do you want to know why the whites of my eyes are black?" She asked, a new sorrow and despair entering her voice. "It is not a natural thing. They are tainted by darkness, as my people have been oppressed by this darkness for millenia. We would still be today if we had not revolted and banished the evil from our thrones..."

Thror looked to Ausinoe slowly as a dark look came over him. He gripped his sword tightly as it rested in it's sheath.

"This… darkness… that has awoken the dead is… from your people…" Thror said angrily as he drew his sword and began to approach Ausinoe, each step becoming quicker. Suddenly he stopped and looked down as a blade rested in his stomach, held by Skudi,

"I cannot allow you to harm an innocent… I'm… I'm sorry." Skudi said as he took the sword out of his stomach, Thror looked at Skudi with a stunned look and fell back on the steps leading to the throne. He looked to Ausinoe regrettably, Skjorn, and then to Skudi.

"You… you are… much wiser… than I thought… my son… I have failed… our people… do what is right…" Thror said as he breathed a final breath. Skjorn looked to Skudi in disbelief, and kneeled to him,

"All hail King Skudi Throrsson, King Under The Mountain, Ruler of the Northmen!" Skjorn announced with his head down, kneeling in front of… King Skudi.

(HOW'S THAT FOR A PLOT TWIST!!!)

Eimin sat with her legs crossed and her hands together like a prayer. Sheva was standing beside Coro and Grimm who had rather stay in his human from then a small bird. Han was with her, telepathically . Eimin's eyes were closed as she started to recite a hymn. Αν θα ακούσετε παρακαλώ Hangoround" (I who bare the fruit of mother , sits before you in hope for you to hear my cry. I will tell you my life story and for this we will come to a decision. This world will come to an end sonner than those around us think. I soon after i fufill my deauty will be casted asdie from this world and take my place as the new mother. This has been brought to me in a dream i had. If you will listen please Hangoround)

The dragon let out a roar as he stared at the sky . His wings folding in as he closed his eyes . " (You speak as if you know who i am. Seeing how you gathered two of mothers familiars i can understand why you stand before me. Each passing mother must have a different but it can only be from their blood line...it must be her will to put you infront of me so i will trust in her judgemnt and listen to you.")

"Sval... what..."

Ausione did not kneel with the others, instead staring at Skudi with a shock too great for words.

"You... you didn't have to kill him. He wouldn't have hurt me... I would have been able..." She felt a lump in her throat, and squinted her eyes as she turned away.

"Foolish... you are not ready to be a king. I cannot bow... you said yourself you were only just a man..."
(What does she mean come to an end O_o )

(just a prophecy , if they don't handle the darkness then the world will end and be ran by orcs lol I don't think this will happen though so its just a prophecy)

( Aah)

(BTW I should probbably clarify the pronunciation of Ausi's name "Aw-see-no-way")
(Also, what language is that? Looks greek.)

(Oh, wait. Ran it though google translate. It IS greek :D
Ausinoe left the throne room with her hand covering her stricken face. She turned to Sheva and Eimin with a dark look. "Skudi has killed king Thror. He is king now... a foolish move... but one we must accept..." She sighed deeply, racked with fear, disbelief, and compassion for a friend.

Why...WHY? You did not need to do that. You are just a boy... seven years my junior and now a KING?! Skudi, you are not fit to be a king. Not yet. Perhaps in the future... but you are completely unprepared...

Sheva laughed as she looked over making sure not to interrupt Han and Eimin. "You can, but I do not care who is king. All I care is for my people and my home...and mother." She looked toward Eimin and smiled. "Mother has already chosen"

" I understand, but this is still a blow to our cause. I do not know who governs the armies of the people of Odeklundr, but if it is the king I do not think it best to have it done by a YOUNG LAD OF 20." She sighed. "Hopefully our aid from Ebonhold, the desert elves, the Murutha, and mother will go better..."

(uhh.... She could be communicating with telepathy long distance...?)
(Perhaps she and han made a connection at the camp and he can hear her prayers.)

Skjorn stormed out of the Throne Room after Ausinoe.

"You are a foreigner and I understand you are ignorant of our ways… but do not disrespect the king again! Skudi may not be a man but as an heir to the throne he knows what must be done and can handle this title appropriately, he isn't going to do it alone! Even the king is subject to our laws and Thror broke them, he tried to harm an innocent and this is not tolerated in Odeklundr, you do not know him or us Ausinoe, and your reaction was uncalled for!" Skjorn said, Thror was his friend but even Skjorn knew what Skudi did was right.
(I'm just saying she said "Han looked down as he roared")

" I'm not angry at him... I'm worried. I don't know if he's ready for this. I mean him no disrespect... but I cannot bring myself to think of the boy's inner strife after this..." Ausinoe had been naturally empathetic since birth, and was horrified by the events that had ravaged Skudi's life so recently.
( Maybe she could go back and delete that prt :/ )

Skjorn shook his head.

"I've known Skudi since birth, better than his own father even, I've trained him and taught him about being a warrior and a leader… his outburst in the camp was because he was banished, he is home now… and he is King!" Skjorn said as he turned and nodded his to Skudi. "M'lord" Skjorn said. Skudi nodded back. He looked to Ausinoe,

"I may be young and I may only just become King… but I know what must be done, for my people, Odeklunder, and Elaria. We will go to Ebonhold and seek audience with king Ancis Griffon-Shield, from there we will plan our next move… do not worry Ausinoe, I love my father but I can't exclude family from law… without law there is nothing!" Skudi announced. He felt… different, he was in pain or sad but… determined more than ever.
(Sorry goddesofgod, its an honest mistake, no big deal!)

Ausinoe smiled. "I suppose my fears were too grim. I worried for your remorse wen you were banished, and even more when you killed you father. I meant you no disrespect by leaving... perhaps I am too motherly, and thought of you as younger than you really are." She had been extremely maternal for her whole life, caring for sick animals and the children of the Sanctum in her youth. Skudi had seemed to her childlike in his curiosity and youth, and she could not help but retain this part of her in her friendship with him.
