Dancing soothes the soul

Landen of course left as soon as he got the news and of course his anger at Chris had returned. As they all sat there together all night waiting for any news Landen couldn't help but think if this was important to Chris he would have jumped up and flew here the minute he heard but instead he was no where in sight.


When morning came things started to pick up for Bella. Her father could tell she was becoming exhausted and irritable but she was close. "Just relax." Her father whispers through her cries as he rubbed her back gently. "She'll be here soon." Things were happening rather slowly until now but that was normal since it was her first baby. Not to mention he knew she was probably trying to hold off with all her strength in hopes her husband would get here. "Bella, it's alright, he'll see her when he gets here." He smiled when he felt her whole body relax. Hopefully it wouldn't be too much longer before Bella got to hold her little one.

Arabella was hoping that Chris would make it and he did. He ran into the room and thanked Jayden for helping his wife. He held her hand and sighed. "I'm here love." He whispered and Arabella smiled as her time came closer and closer and finally, her and Chris got to hold their daughter. When Alyssa and the others were called in to see their new addition, she smiled as she saw the way Arabella was looking at their baby. "She beautiful." Alyssa whispered as Bella handed her off and Alyssa held her granddaughter close. She had that look in her eyes like she did with all her children.

Jayden smiled towards his wife as she held the little one, walking over to Bella he kissed her forehead. "Congratulations Princess, you did great." Her father's says as he looked to their oldest proudly. She was a mom now and looking at her he couldn't help but remember the first time he saw her, so small but yet so beautiful. Her bubbly laugh was something he would never forget. He knew his granddaughter would be well taken care of and not endure the same things her mother did, things Jayden and Alyssa still never told her about.

Arabella smiled softly at her father and nodded. "Thank you daddy." She whispered as she looked at her mom holding her granddaughter. "Is that how you looked at me mom?" Arabella asked and Alyssa laughed softly as she nodded. "Of course. You're special Bella. I love you so much." Alyssa said with tears in her eyes as she kissed Arabella's forehead and handed her her daughter as Chris walked over and smiled at her. She held his heart already. Arabella was now a mom and that was something Alyssa secretly didn't want to come but was proud of her daughter. She always would be.

After everyone got to meet the baby they all left the new little family on their own. It wasn't until they got home Jayden felt tears form in his eyes. This was a new chapter and while Jayden was proud for the most part of the family he and Aly raised together he wished he took more time to spend with them.

Alyssa looked over at her husband and hugged him close. "You're okay. We both are. I know what you're thinking and things are fine. Landen and Arabella grew up to be great people and I know the twins will too." She whispered with a smile. She would admit, Jayden hadn't been spending a lot of time with the twins but Alyssa tried her hardest to make up for it. She knew all the twins wanted was their father at times but she did the best she could.

Jayden just sighed and nodded. He has to accept he was never going to be the father he intended to be, it was already too late. As much as he tried to be there for the kids it never turned out that way. Though no one would have been able to prepare themselves for what tragic event would lead to him giving up his career for good.

Alyssa stayed with her husband that night and when they laid in bed, curled up close against his chest. "I love you. So do our kids." She whispered with a smile. "And I love you so much you wouldn't believe."

Jayden smiled at his wife, while he didn't regret their family there was just some things he wished he would have done differently. "I love you too." Her husband whispers before they both still fell asleep. He still felt guilty he had given the kids the same life he had.

The next morning, the twins were up and about ready for another day of school, or well Lilly was. She was ready and excited because today was the first day of practice and she was ready. Although she knew she couldn't go because she was punished from it for a week. She wanted to see Jace again but his mother wouldn't let her and she knew that.

"Morning Hun." Jayden calls with a smile as he sipped from his coffee cup. Her breakfast has just been placed on the table and her dad was taking her to school. "You know you don't have to go today." He didn't want Lilly to be in more danger with what happened yesterday and he knew kids that age could be cruel.

"But I have too. I have to take notes for both me and Jace and then I have practice, which now that I think about, am I able to go?" Lilly asked as she looked at er dad and her bruise was gone. The wonders of makeup.

Jay smiled at Lilly, she was always so selfless and worried about everyone else. Jayden sighed as much as he knew he probably shouldn't allow it he nodded, she had been through enough, she deserved to get her mind off things. "Don't tell your brother." He whispers as he got up to get his keys to take her to school.

Lilly smiled excitedly and nodded as she got her things and went to the car and arrived at school. When she got there, it was awkward because no one was with her and all the whispers were spreading. She hated it but maybe if she just tuned everyone out, she would be okay. So she did just that all day, and when school ended, she excitedly walked to the dance room where she got ready for practice. She was more then glad she made the team and was ready for their first performance at the first game of the season.

Before heading off to his own work Jayddn went to check on Jace himself. Luckily his mom wasn't there so he was able to do it in peace. He was stable which brought a sense of relief to him as a professional. But he couldn't help but look at Jace and feel guilt that he was responsible for this in a way. How could Riley do such a thing?

Lilly felt good to be back in the studio where everything just left her mind. She then began to stretch and when practice started, Lilly couldn't help but do everything she was told and according to their coach, she did it perfect. So perfect that her coach wanted her to try out for Captain. When Lilly was told this, she was beyond nervous, especially because the one who was Captain last year was the girl Riley liked and the girl that was always up on Riley.

 

[Lexus]

After practice Landen carries Lilly's things to the car and smiled, shaking his head. "Something about you girls, you never stay in trouble for long." Her brother says teasingly. He knew it was because he and Riley always seemed to be the more rebellious of the four. "How was practice?"

"It was great. It felt good to be back in the studio. We discuss uniforms next week and who gets an officer position things is, my coach wants me to try out for captain." Lilly said as she looked at Landen and sighed. "I would love to but that's scary. I'm just a Freshman." She told her brother with a laugh.

 

[Lexus]

Landen laughed at her sister's lack of confidence in herself. "That doesn't mean anything Lil, it's based on skill not age." He reminds her as he unlocked the car. "You should give it a shot."

"I don't know. Plus if I try out and get the position, I'll be the only one wearing white. Do you know how much I'll stand out?" Lilly asked with a laugh as she got in the car and then let out a content sigh. "I just hope things will go okay." she told him.

"They'll be alright." Her brother reassures her. Before dropping her off at home he took her out for food. He knew the environment at home wasn't the best right now with their parents having to deal with Riley.

Lilly thanked her brother for the food and went into the house and quickly put her bag on the floor when she walked in and let out a content sigh. She smiled at her parents and walked over to the counter to start her homework.
