Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

@Redsirrah it is already your turn again. That rotation went a bit fast. Your distraction basically stopped the enemy in their tracks so there wasn't much to right. Next rotation may have a bit more action from the bad guys. The enemy will go after Redsirrah and then @Yesman can go after that.
While we finish out this major fight you both might want to work on leveling up your character sheets. The XP from all of this will put you both up to LEVEL 3. You will be able to pick a path within your characters class that better defines how they will play. We will work these choices into the story for some fun flavor. :-) hope you are still having fun!
I just wish everyone from the beginning was here, it'd be nice to have more people

@Redsirrah I defiantly agree! Even if we had 1 of them back it would really be nice. Everyone just sort of faded away...that tends to happen in RPs thought. I almost got someone else into the RP today, but a space opened up in my Butchers of Buldran RP and that is the position they really wanted. I might see what I can do about getting a friend of mine onto the site and into the story.

Do you think you could pull the two stories together into some kind of cross over adventure? That would be cool

Since stabbing is so ineffective against these...zombies(?), am I allowed to grab a rock and use it as an improvised blunt weapon? I'm starting to feel that my fists would be more effective than my rapier.

@Redsirrah there wont be a cross over. I have a long line of plans for Shaldra-Zin that does not including going to Buldran. Thats a very different place with very different story going on.

@Yesman your weapons are doing normal damage. But you are more than welcome to use improvised weapons. You may find an average stone. 1d4 damage dex based attack or you may find a larger stone. Strength based attack, but 1d8 damage.

@Redsirrah Roll 1d20 in the OOC for death saving through please. A 1 will get you closer to death, above a 10 will take you one step closer to life and a 20 will wake you up. If I can get Kelter over there he will do his Lay on hands for some health.

So I've forgotten what my maximum health was. What's the normal health for an average human lvl 1 rogue?

@Yesman you rolled your character with 14HP. If you flip over to the character sign up tab you are on the first page.
Um, yeah. About that, the CS I put in the character sign up is also the CS that I update as the game goes on. I should really have written it out as (remaining)/(maximum) but oh well, I can do that next time.

Now back to the matter about my maximum health, the d&d wiki says that, as a level 1 rogue, Jaks' maximum health should be 12+Con bonus (+1)...which means that I'm already passed my maximum hit points... brb .-.

EDIT:

Okay, fixed that. -preps voice- Let it be known that Jaks' maximum hit points is 13 until his next level up

@Yesman I think you are also rolling your attacks wrong. It should be (1d20 + Dex mod + Proficiency bonus + Any weapon mods) You rolled 1d20+7 to attack when it is probably more like 1d20+4.

Dang @Redsirrah you roll like a beast on this site. I feel like I never see you roll under 15. Yes your character is recuperating very well. Since your character can't make a move I can skip you. Unless you really want to make a dream sequence post or something like that.

Go ahead and skip me until I regain consciousness. I dont know why my rolls are so good, my real die roll low like a bunch of assholes. Nothing hurts more than seeing that 1 come up.

As a DM i love the 1 rolls just as much as the 20s most of the time haha. They allow me to get creative. But lets drop the "Quality of peoples dice rolls" topic before we jinx it and turn this game into a whiff party.

I did give Adrik 3 potions of healing before I left the tavern. If he remembers he has them it also might help my condition.

He will only have 1 on him. He gave 1 to each of his friends. Once he notices you are down he will come to help you. Right now he is unaware of your condition and he will be coming to kill the Greatswordsman.

I probably made a mistake while creating my character and set my proficiency bonus too high, sorry about that. It should be correct now.

You already rolled yourself stable and you've been healed to positive hit points. Your character can wake up naturally.

@Yesman you won't be able to make a melee attack on the enemy from there. He disengaged you and then Kelter putting him about 15ft away. If you'd like you can choose to throw a knife. I will let you reroll your attack.

No worries. I am excited to kill this guy! Haha I have already done a full color drawing of Kelter Rowe at lvl3. The description of is level up is held in my head.

I spent my lunch break sketching out some NPCs from the next chapter of this story.

@Redsirrah You're up next. I am going to give you inspiration on this attack. You can roll with advantage (2d20 and take the higher result) Because this A-hole killed you and then he managed to dodge your fire spell again. You feel this anger rising up inside you that focuses your ability.

He only has a few hit points left so if you roll over 15 to hit describe how you kill this great swordsman.
