Dice D&D: The City of Shaldra~Zin

@Astray Yeah, you can make what ever checks you want as a free action on my table. But you can only make those checks once per round. If you try to make 5 or 6 checks I may take away your bonus action or give you disadvantage on a roll for being distracted.

Give me what every check you feel your character would make plus an investigation check.

EDIT: Oh, and thank you for the compliment on flavor text. I do what I can to paint the picture and bring logic to the rolls.

Indeed I like reading it as as depicted. And many Dm's I've known seam to lack the trivial knowledge and immagination to portray the strikes and movement of a gung fu masta.

Even when he Ill performs.

So that first roll. Would be insight then. Rolling Religon and investigation then.

Religon: 11

Investigation: 13

Oooooh, can we all be wispy wraiths xDDDD jk, I'm sure each person will get a different Wraith Boon if they get to have one lol

@Yesman yes. If you fail you will take damage and gain the boon. You can also choose not to fight it. Inhale the green smoke and take the spirit willingly into you. This will still incur damage, but assure you a boon. If you recall back to the original battle in Shaldra~Zin the dwarves bartender Adrik crushed a few animated armors and sucked in all the smoke with a smile. Though non of you knew it at the time he was willingly gaining the Boon and using it.

@Astray You cannot think of what god would do this. It seems like a never ending holy smite spell, but it strikes you as odd that it would be used against seemingly innocent and good people. You don't believe that Pelor would willingly strike down any of these people.

However, the type of spell is fitting for the setting. It is a light based spell in a powerful Temple of Pelor. Everything about the arcane energy in the air reads as "Good" energy, not Evil. Maybe this is holy magic or a holy mage, being misguided and used unknowingly for evil deeds? Or maybe Pelor is not as righteous as portrayed in books and bindings?

The little knowledge you possess about Pelor is common to all. Peaceful, Light, Good, Healing. Commonly followed by pacaficstic clerics and priests.... An oddly military-eque temple for such a peaceful god. The temple is kept by Paladins and War clerics in armor that could keep a charging rhino at bay, not cloth wearing old men.

You are unable to determine who or what is causing this. Your thought raise just as many questions as they answer.

yes, everyone should get a different boon. I have a roll table of boons for Animated armors, Not so Undeaths and Wraiths. Killing any of these enemies give you a chance to gain a boon of the roll table.

Fail a con save or willingly take the spirit in to roll for a boon. If someone else has a boon, it is taken off the roll table. These boons will stay with you unless you complete a side quest to remove them. They are campaign boons to make leveling a little more unique and fun.

@Grimsvald

Yeah thats all what I thought. I lnow the forgotten relms settig well. Why holy energy would be killing paladans i have no idea.

Any "good" deties who hate pelors folowers in this relm?

You are not aware of any good deities or followers who would have a grudge with Pelor. But there are more than just good deities represented at this summit. Gods of all kinds are welcomed at this temple even outside of the annual summit. It is considered a safe haven where conflicts can be discussed between religious factions without war.

What you do know so far is that the Lich Princess is responsible for all the other death and destruction happening here. She is the one who brought emerald phase spiders to kill people in their rooms. If anyone has answers it is probably her.

@Yesman here is your wraith boon and damage

Take 3 damage

Ghostly Gambit:

You have gained a level 1 spell called Ghostly Gambit. This spell may be cast on reaction to being hit with a melee attack. You cause the enemy to re-roll its attack with disadvantage. If the enemy still hits, you take double damage. If the enemy misses you move behind the enemy and attack with advantage adding your sneak attack bonus. You are stealthed until the beginning of your next turn.

When you cast this spell your body turns into green smoke as the enemy's attack hits you. While in smoke form you easily move around the enemy and back stab them for excruciating damage. It then takes a few seconds for your body to return to a solid state.

It is changing according to your post count. Blackjack is a card game where you try to hit 21. When you were at 20 it said hit me, which is common said when you want another card to get closer to 21. When you had 21 posts it said Black Jack, because thats what you call out when you hit 21 and win. When you go over 21 (22 posts) you have lost or gone bust.

As you post your title will change according to post count unless you specify your own title.

This is the best of my knowledge on that.

@Astray your post next. Let me know if you have any questions about whats going on, or if you have any checks you'd like to make before you start your round of actions.
