Astrid just groaned "make the headache go away... and breakfast.."

Eric hadn't been sleeping the first few nights having been staring at her most of the evening like he wasn't sure she'd still be there. He just grinned "would you like to go on a run? Kain said we were welcome to his trail..?"

Kain sighed. "I wish I could make them go away or knew some trick to get your wolf to come through faster love. I can get breakfast for you though. Anything in particular you'd like to eat?" He asked her.
-
Jay matched his grin with her own, she could feel her wolf bouncing in her head. "I'd love that" She said, looking at him. "My wolf has been itching to go for a run" She said.

Astrid just shook her head curling up tighter in the blankets waiting for him to return

Eric smiled happily proud that he’d come up with something she wanted to do. “Shes not planning on tackling me right…?” He questioned, it was a well known fact Astrid’s wolf took any opportunity to pounce on Kain.

Kain nodded and began making a simple breakfast of sausage and eggs. He set the dining table before returning to the food. He began humming as he cooked.
-
Jay just smirked at him, neither confirming or denying his claim. "I don't know, she might or she might not. Depends on what mood she's in" Jay said innocently. She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "But whatever happens, at least its just you and I" She said smiling.

Astrid just curled up watching him the severity of the headache, seeming to come and go.

Eric groaned having a feeling she was going to be just as bad as Astrid was. He stood and headed into the bathroom to change before returning in a t shirt and shorts. “Sounds like she’s gonna.” He chuckled

Kain finished up making breakfast and divided it up onto two plates. He grabbed two steins, emptying a blood bag in the stein and filled the other with orange juice. He set the two steins on the table. "Breakfast is ready love" He said.
-
Jay changed as well into a tank top and shorts. She just shrugged, shooting a mischievous grin at her mate. "I'm not gonna promise she won't" Jay laughed, headed towards their door.

Astrid uncurled from the couch and walked over to the table. She tucked her legs in tightly as she sat down trying to eat and get the headache under control

Eric just chuckled following her out “good thing I don’t care about this shirt.” He headed outside and down the way to Kain’s trail.

Kain picked at his food, eating it slowly. He looked at her with a sad look. He could feel the frustration of not being able to touch or help her and it was torture. They didn't even know what it would end.
-
Jay laughed as they walked outside, making it the trail. She couldn't contain her wolf anymore and shifted on the spot. Her wolf rubbed on his legs before taking off down the trail with a bark.

Astrid just nibbled curled up struggling to even keep her eyes open with the intensity of the headache.

Eric couldn’t contain his smile and took off after her, he was beginning to get little bits of that species bonding Kain always talked about and he found it so interesting.

Kain looked over at her. He let out a rumble, trying to help her wolf break the wall. He felt his soul trying to reach out to her wolf as well. He didn't know what else to do.
-
Jay looked behind her, not seeing Eric and grinned, jumping off the trail and hiding behind a tree. She kept herself pressed to the ground, waiting. Being a hunter, she was excellent at waiting for the right moment to pounce.

Astrid just nibbled struggling with her wolf, but they really needed a bigger push to get them over the hump

Eric slowed with a groan when he realized she’d gone off trial and looked around trying to spot her with a grin.

Kain looked over at Astrid, he didn't know how to help so he just tried to be there for her. He finished his food, and had finished his stein. He carried his plate and cup and washed them, putting them in the dishrack. He knew she was taking her time eating, so he sat down to wait while she did.
-
Jay saw him coming up the trail and waited, keeping her entire body still, blending into the undergrowth. As he got just past her, she bolted and lunged, aiming to tackle him to the ground.

Astrid just nibbled finally just pushing the plate away mostly finished.

Eric spotted her just as she was leaping but wasn’t quick enough and they both went crashing to the ground. He lay underneath her laughing “you’re just as bad as her if not worse!”

Kain took the pushing away that she was done and grabbed her dishes to take care of them real quick. When he was done, he pulled off his hoodie and looked at Astrid. "Here, its got my scent all over it again love" He said, handing it over, not realizing that their hands would brush against each other.
-
Jay looked down at him with a wolfish grin. She licked his cheek before jumping off, dropping into a play bow with her tail wagging. Her eyes shined as she watched him.

Astrid was a little too eager to grab the hoodie and her finger tips grazed his hand. A startled little cry escaped but the pain was not nearly as bad at it had been but instantly worsened the headache. Her wolf in overdrive to get to him demanding more.

Eric wasn’t nearly as capable acting like a wolf for her but playfully scrambled up and he got into a defensive stance to dart side to side

Kain felt the pain and whined, pulling his hand away. He should've been more careful! He sighed, looking at her. "I'm going to take a shower, then we can take a walk outside? Maybe the fresh air will help" He said. He was beating himself up mentally that he'd hurt her, again. He entered the bathroom and shut the door behind him.
-
Jaylin snorted, watching him with amusement. She jumped side to side, rushing towards him before jumping back. She watched his motions carefully before taking off down the trail with a sharp bark as if laughing.

She whined her headache worsening exponentially “Kain..” she whimpered but he’d already closed the door. She could feel her wolf trying to force her way out but she needed another push. “Kain please come back.”

Eric laughed and followed after her playfully poking her when he caught up. He was careful though knowing she was athletic enough to spin and get him for messing with her

Kain leaned against the bathroom door, he could hear her clear as day. He felt tears in his eyes as he listened to her whimpers. His soul was trying to reach out to her wolf, but he couldn't risk hurting her again. The vampire paced back and forth, torn between opening the door and going to her and ignoring her and taking a shower like he'd planned. He sighed before turning and opening the door and walked into the main room. "I'm here love" He wouldn't touch her, but he let his scent wrap around her.
-
Jay huffed as he poked her. She looked back at him with bared teeth, which looked mean but it was supposed be a form of smile. She skidded to a stop, twisting on her hips, and raced at him head on before dodging at the last second and spun around again on her hips. She raced back, aiming for another tackle, although they were pretty close the river at this point.

Astrid was sobbing as she held her head “please. I don’t even care if it hurts I need a distraction.” She was clutching his hoodie, her face buried in it looking absolutely miserable. “Please Kain…” she begged. It felt like her wolf was beginning to claw at the back of her mind.

Eric spun trying to keep up with her but was somewhat surprised she seemed even more agile than Astrid. He laughed “Jay there’s a river don’t!”

Kain shifted on his feet, he didn't want to hurt her. She was in enough pain already. He saw her face was buried in his hoodie and he stepped up behind her. "I'm sorry love" He said before he gently placed a kiss on her head, inhaling her scent at the same time. Painful sparks danced along his lips when he pulled back.
-
Jay huffed out a low woof and kept going. She knew the river was there, and she knew what she was doing. Jay leapt at him, her focus was entirely on him and her wolf was quite content to play with their mate, even if they got wet in the process.

She whined in pain but couldn’t take it any longer and turned wrapping her arms around his torso before he could leave. She whimpered with a small cry of pain at the burn but it kept her attention off her wolf tearing apart her head. It felt like she was desperate to get to Kain fighting

Eric burst into laughter as they hit the ground and went rolling but managed to stop right at the edge of the river. “Oh you’re playing with fire.”

Kain's eyes widened as she whined before wrapping her arms around him. He felt the burn at the touch but she was touching him, and the burn didn't matter. The pain faded into the background as he wrapped his arms back around her. "Come to me mate" He whispered near her ear, him and his soul speaking to her wolf. He kissed the top of her head again.
-
Jay huffed as they stopped by the river's edge. She sprung to her paws, looking at him before crouching, her head tilted in a "Oh yeah" manner as she watched him intently. Her tail wagged slowly as she eyed him.

She whined in pain but curled completely into his chest shaking. Her wolf was desperately trying to claw free but was soon to exhausted to continue. after just a few moments she had to pull away from him clearly in a lot of pain and without her wolf it was to much. She was breathing heavily with a tired mumble “thank you..”

Eric laughed crouching really hoping he’d manage to move before she’d tackle them both into the water but stepped back so he was ankle deep. Reaching down he scooped a handful of water and splashed her

Kain felt her shaking and he wanted so badly to make it all go away. All too soon the pain was unbearable and she pulled away from him. "Anything for you love" He said, even though his skin was flushed from the burning pain sensation, he didn't realize how much he needed it. "Would you like to go rest? I can stay in the room with you" He offered. He was going to stay in the living room if she wanted him too.
-
Jay shook her coat as he splashed her, before taking off in a run towards him. She leapt up, aiming for his chest with her paws in an attempt to send him back first into the river.

She nodded softly and just moved the few steps to the couch and was nearly out cold by the time she curled up with his hoodie. Every fiber of her being hurt but his hug had also been what she needed.

Eric wasn’t quick enough to move in the water so he wrapped his arms around her bringing her down into the riv r too. He sat up letting her go laughing absolutely soaked.
