Crescent

She was serious again. "He was going to kill me. Why did he want me to follow you around instead?" She asked, quite confused.

"He probably wants to play..." He responded quietly. "What he said was true... demons do like to start up trouble..."

"And following you around will start trouble?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion. She obviously didn't have a clue what that could mean.

She froze. Did that mean he would kill her?

"Why?" She asked, hoping it wasn't for a reason like, 'I was bored'.

"T...they were terrible people, Skye told me they deserved it for all they did..." He replied, his posture sinking a bit as he thought over his past.

She relaxed a little. "Oh. Ok.. You wouldn't kill me though, right?" She asked. This question would probably determine if she would be nervous for most the time.

He shook his head, "No... I think your really nice..." He replied a small grin on his face. "Not many people tend to be nice to me..."

Good, I'm basically safe now. She though, relieved. "Thanks," She said with a small smile at the compliment.

"So, are you hungry?" She asked, glancing toward the kitchen and then back at him.

"Of course not," She said, carefully picking up the knife and putting it in the kitchen's sink. She ashed it off of the blood before she went and looked in the cupboards. She had lots of packaged foods, because she didn't really like making home made food for only herself.

In curiosity he got up, following her to the kitchen and by this time he had forgotten his bleeding hand. He looked around him as it had been a while sense he was last in a kitchen in like this.

"Is ramen noodles ok? I don't have much else," She said, looking over her shoulder him. Ramen Noodles as one of her favorite foods, so she had more of that in her cabinets that anything else.

He nodded in response, glancing to her from where he now stood. "That's fine" he said, though he couldn't help but wonder why she was still being so kind to him, even after her encounter with Skye.

She grabbed a pot and two packages of the noodles. She put the pot on the stove top and filled it with water and let it boil for a few minutes. She turned to him while the water heated and asked, "So do you think Skye will know or care if we are not together twenty-four seven?"

"He's in my pendant... and I can't really take it off, so he's always where I am" He responded, glancing down to the smooth surface of the small crescent.

"But say I went to the store and you stayed here. Would I get in trouble?" She asked.

"He didn't clarify that you needed to always be by my side... so I guess some time apart wouldn't hurt..." He muttered, mostly thinking aloud.

"He said 'no matter what'. But ok..." She said, turning back to put the noodles into the pot. She just didn't want to have Skye come out and threaten to kill her again.

"I...I'll try to keep him under control... I tried to earlier, but he didn't listen to me..." He said quietly, though he still did observe her as she cooked with curiosity.

After a few minutes the food was ready and she separated it into two bowls and placed on in front of him along with a fork. She sat down across from him and began eating her own meal, quite hungry.

"How is it?" She would ask.

He first looked over the bowl before taking a bite, finding the flavor to be rather favorable he sent her a small smile. "It's really good" He replied.

"Good," Riva said, returning the small smile. She kept eating, finishing her bowl a while later.
