We get it. You think that the setting is lame and for babies and you've gotta prove that your fandom is better and the best and 'MURICA explosion and so on and so fourth. I get it. My grandpa was in Korea (all he got out of it was a sailor suit, but what can you do?) You don't have to put yourself over so strong. This isn't a dick measuring contest about who's better. It's storytelling.

Yes, logical. Stories have internal logic. That's why Halo doesn't follow the same logic as a superhero story, and why The Deer Hunter doesn't follow the logic of The Marine 3.


Though, I do want to see what The Marine 3 would look like if it starred Christopher Walken.

Not all war stories have a sad ending either. There are plenty of ex-soldiers living happily with their wives and kids and their golden retrievers in their nice house. I'm sorry that we're not working on your rules in our RP.
