Conundrum: The Question Without An Answer (Season One)

Vienna kept a close eye on the beast as her attack hit, and noticed something seem to break off from the Hirudo. 'What in the... that doesn't look like one of the puzzle pieces.' "That's because it isn't... It's soul essence may be hard to sense for you and the others, but that's the Hirudo you truly want." Vienna blinked in confusion, not really understanding what her Koumpi had meant but still readying her Scythe and zeroing in on the falling- whatever it was with her piercing, analytical gaze. As the mysterious falling object hit the ground, Vienna noticed something moving through the dust of the impact site itself. As the other team was busy reeling from thier surprise, Kimirou mounted his ice board and took the opportunity to show everyone up with some flashy moves and words. Vienna had her own speedy mode of transportation: a forest full of shadow-casting trees, right there in front of her. Her Koumpi echoed within her mind once again, "Go after it! No time for gawking!"

Obeying her Koumpi's prodding words, Vienna shadow stepped to the shadow cast by the tree nearest to the impact site, watching as the creature leapt out from the shadows towards the other team, jumping over them, seeming to goad them on without words. Then, just as quickly as it had pounced, it bolted into the woods at blinding speed. "Are you going to let it get away?! Show it what a fleet-footed hunter can do with the shadows on her side!" Vienna found herself smiling at her Koumpi's verbal challenge, and began shadow stepping from one shadow to the next as quickly as she could towards the faint, but still noticeable, soul-essence of the speedy catlike hirudo. She noticed Kimirou spot a girl sprawled out on the ground. Vienna wondered what she was doing here, but if she stopped as well the Hirudo might get away. so she carried on with her shadow stepping, gradually closing in on the Hirudo with her scythe at the ready.

That’s my boy,” The voice praised to Kehinde after his efforts. *Press Play* He watched as he and team handled the beast with fluidity. Needed some work, but Kehinde was satisfied. Once he saw the last blow, he returned to his own being. Instead of seeing four different perspectives he was seeing one and what he saw next shock him. The beast dissipated into a cloud of smoke, but there wasn’t a piece to follow suit. Was this a trick of the council? Had the team they were going up against beat them to it? Did they outsmart them? All these thoughts ran through his head as he looked on in awe like everyone else. “What’s this?” The voice in his head spoke, Kehinde could feel it too. He nodded in agreement and remained on guard.

Not too long after, his suspicions were confirmed when something with ominous soul essence touched down within the cloud of smoke. “Watch yourself. This is something different from before.” The voice added. I agree. Very clever way to hide a piece.” He thought. “Clever? No, it genius. Why would they make it easy for a group like you to get and easy grab on this? Remember they aren’t on your side. If the opportunity presents itself for you guys to fail, then they’ll gladly take it.” The voice remarked.

As soon as he finished, something darted out of the cloud of smoke with mind blowing speed. The thing leaped over the other team and slid back onto it hind legs. Just hearing it speak made Kehinde’s skin crawl. After it shared its two cents, it fled into the woods and the chase was on. Kimirou offered assistance with transportation by creating boards out of Ice. Kehinde looked in the direction of the forest and his gut was telling him something didn’t seem right. “You’ll be fine son. You have the blood of an Akachi running through you. No need to back out now.” The voice comforted. He took a look at the board, “Thanks, but I’m more of a ground person.” He kindly gestured just in time to hear Kimirou speak to the girl from earlier. He then noticed her body language was off, so he decided to walk over to her, “Nice to meet you, Evan, I’m Kehinde Akachi. It’s a pleasure having you join us. Please…relax we are all here to support each other.” He observed. @Newtype @OwlOne

Darious kept his eyes fixated on the dust cloud waiting to react if something were to go down. The laceration he had received was beginning to sting as the debris and dust lay into it. He looked around to everyone and noticed the strange looks they were making. He could also feel the strange feeling from the cloud also. The cloud of Hirudo remains subsided and Darious caught wind of the beast. He rose his pistol and fired in hopes of catching the beast, but the beast was too quick.

One of the hunters on his team quickly acted on the situation unfolding by creating boards for everyone. Darious was grateful for the offer, but, of course, he had his own contraption back on the ship. He signaled for one of his crew members to fetch it for him while he gathered himself. Next to him stood Kehinde, the one who did the flash bang. He was going to speak to him, but he took off to go and aid the new girl. He then saw Vienna jump into action and head off in the direction of the beast. Darious figured he should to being that the beast caused damage to his deceased pirate’s ship. He checked his pistol one good time, looked at his crew members, and waved, “Hold down the fort till I get back. I call if I need anything.” His crew member nodded and brought him his own contraption. He looked to the others, “I’ve got to get a sample of the Hirudo. I going in after it.” He declared. With that, the soul essence powered vehicle sped off behind Vienna. @Newtype

As Vienna swiftly jumped from shadow to shadow, slowly closing in on the flighty Hirudo's soul essence, she felt something in the air that made her stop in her tracks. 'Is that-' "Yes... that would be the essence of your old friend, Nightwalker... unfortunately he's not your ally at the moment... we shadows always put the hunt before all else, as you know... tread very carefully." Vienna sensed four other familiar-seeming soul essences, though not as potent... the rest of his team, no doubt. What a strange circumstance to run into old friends... considering Vienna's predicament, she doubted they even knew she was participating. She felt two soul essences among the first enemy team they ran into fade away the direction she came from. It seems they were running from Nightwalker, so maybe they're smarter then they looked. Vienna kept pursuing the Hirudo, albeit more cautiously, until the inevitable happened: one of the other shadows stepped out, barely seen by her, and released a mist with a very peculiar scent she could smell from here.

'Damn, can't go that way anymore,' she thought while beginning to hold her breath, and began shadow-stepping the other direction and recentering herself on the Hirudo's soul essence, trying to feel out an alternate path through the shadows. As she did this, she felt Nightwalker's soul essence bleed into the air and increase in intensity at an unbelievably rapid rate. Any doubt that he knew she was here instantly disappeared from her mind. She then felt the temperature drop rapidly only a few moments later.. at the very least, they seem to not be aware of the advantage they might've given Kimirou, if he gets here fast enough. Her Koumpi's voice resonated in her mind commandingly as all of this was going on around her. "Get ready to dodge like you did the Ovida, and whatever you do do not engage them unless one of your team strikes first." 'That is one thing you don't have to tell me,' she thought, whilst she focuses on sensing incoming danger. Hearing as familiar ring of blades in the air, she shadow-stepped forwards whilst ducking her head, feeling one of the sawblades graze her long black hair, ducking into a crouch and simultaneously hearing one of the shadows' chilling voices resonating in the pitch-black zone Nightwalker just created.. She sent an eerie whisper in their direction, as per her namesake. "I couldn't possibly forget about you... unfortunately, I won't feel very welcomed as long as you stand between my team and that puzzle piece. May the best hunters win."

The girl responded stating she was a friend and not a foe. Yet, she did produce claws of bone from her knuckles. This sparked Kimirou's interest, but before he could respond Kehinde beat him to it. Kehinde declined the vehicle Kimirou produced as did the others. As Kimirou summoned the boards of ice back to their dice forms and into his pocket, he listened the Kehinde introduce himself. After this Kimirou noticed Vienne and Darious had already vanished into the forest. Without a response, he entered the forest. After a while of slow traveling, almost that of a crawl, Kimirou heard the sound of Vienne's voice warning someone to double back and tell the teammates about another team ahead. Kimirou's kompi interjected. "That warning was too far away to be for you. I think its time I explain your family trait in a bit more detail to you." Kimirou sighed, "Do you really think it is the time for that?" His kompi responded, "The perfect actually. Especially since the darkness of night is gaining on us. You see your family trait is in the eyes yet it influences several of your senses. This family trait is know as The Pesaculus. Pesaculus hightens your sight, hearing, and soul essence senses. I does dim your smell and touch senses, for ice tempt those senses. With that being said you have already exemplified exceptional soul essence sensing as well as sight. Exceptional enough to rival that of my own. You have just now dipped into that of the hearing sensation. That whisper was several miles ahead of you in the forest. I'm sure you can already tell...." Kimirou interjected, "Yeah yeah yeah, one of my team members is already ahead of me closer to Vienna. I guess Darious buy the swirling sensation his soul essence gives off."

Kimirou's kompi then continued. "Exactly, great job on learning to controll the soul essence aspect of Pesaculus. I can tell you would have been a great ally and apprentice if you were around in those times." Kimirou then felt a fimiliar sensation of chilled air. His Kompi paused and then in a completely different manner began to speak again. "This can't be." "What is it?" Kimirou asked in a confused manner. His kompi responded. "It seems as though a clan member is near and is using his ability." Kimirou concentrated a bit on the essence of the area and could feel the soul essence lingering on the are and spreading in a blanket like fashion. "I recognize that soul essence." With that Kimirou sped up his travel to that of a mach 3 and arrived in the vecinity of Veinna in a matter of minutes. "I can feel one of them near." He responded as he arrived on the scene. His kompi once again interjected. "Yes I do too. It is a member of our clan but that of the Gaspari branch." Kimirou then whispered the person's name. "Vincente Gaspari, Glacier." His kompi was very talkative at this point so of course she responded to his whisper. "An artic vairation. A lesser branch of the clan yet the closest in relation to the Noble branch of the Asura. I must warn you Kimirou. They have always wanted to be the noble bloodline of the clan and as with the Asura, the female members are capable of bearing the Pesaculus. Although, it is very rare that they do." Kimirou smirked and turned in the direction that he sensed Vienna. He began to travel into that direction when he felt the sensation of foul soul essence. To Kimirou's right was the cloud of acidic air. He quickly used his new yet very briliant, icy breath technique to freeze the acid in the air into crystalized ice. Being to heavy to float the crystals fell to the ground like daggers, clearing the air once again. Kimirou then turned back in the direction he felt Vienna's soul essence. Then suddenly it began getting darker, darker than black in fact. His kompi began to speak, "Don't worry....." Kimirou interjected, "I know I know, my eyes will be of great assistance in the dark. You may be my guide but you are very repetitive and also I can figure things out on my own." His kompi aggrivatedly hmphed at his response and decided to now keep quiet.

Kimirou decided if they want to make it a black ice atmosphere then they don't know the world of hurt they are bringing on themselves. He didn't know much about his competitors but he did know Vienna was the best darkness manipulator in his generation and himself the best ice manipulator. That isn't including the others that would just add to the hurt this team was about to experience. Kimirou decided to assist the team in their own defeat. Kimirou took four ice flowers from his pocket resembling the bulbing Nodding Bladder Campions from the artic reagions of the tundra. He threw one to the north, on south, one east, and the final west. Once these flowers hit the ground the area around them began to ice over slowly. The trees freezing and gaining icesickles. The ground becoming icy and slippery. Soon enough the entire area was covering like an icy winter wonderland. "That was wonderful Kimirou. When did you learn that technique?" His kompi asked mesmerizingly. He quickly responded. "I actually tought it to myself at a younger age. Learning to compress my ability into a small flower bomb persay. However, the next technique I think you will love even more." With that Kimirou knelt down and whispered to himself. "Bloom and blossom with great strength, show my enemy ways to weep. Perfume, cologne, fragrant power, thy enemy's will shall be devoured. Chreosi Gamma, Ptosi Pental Tou Lotou." At that moment the four flower buds and opened and veins of purple began to stretch through the ice. Fog began to prduce from the now open flowers. Hopefully, the effects would grow with the icy air as the fog was ment to. Finally, he had mastered the technique Alf had been teaching him over the few days of relaxation on the pirate's ship.

Night scoffed as his eyes fell on the approaching hunter. He slowly sunk into the tree and reappeared in a spot that would do him better. After his teammate threw the blade, he smiled feeling her dodge them effortlessly. He radioed to his team, “Looks like she came a long way.” He spoke. “Sure…sure…dodging blades like that has to mean you’re skilled.” One of his teammates responded. It was then she was finally face to face with them. Night and his team heard her whisper a chilling response. Night's hairs stood up on end and he loved it. He took a moment to respond because he wanted to take in the event unfolding in front of him.

“There’s another approaching fast.” One of his teammates radioed. Night nodded and responded, “I already know.” Night then materialized on a branch above Vienna. He looked down at her with a chilling smile. He was excited to see his faction member, but knowing the circumstances it was not on a happy occasion. “Your team and the piece huh?” He slowly descended from the branch, “You don’t see me awhile and this is the welcome I get?” He started toward her. Whilst Night was focused on Vienna his teammates were in the background working their magic. The team consisted of five skilled hunters from the shadows faction. One being Nightwalker Rin, whom is widely known for his abilities and strategic mind, Selina, whom is known for her acidic outlook on life, Vincente, whom is praised for arctic feelings toward everyone, Manuel, whom is praised for his visual prowess and sensing abilities, and Isabelle, who’s radiance is legendary to the council of course. These five people make up the shadows faction top dogs and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Whilst Vienna was focused on Night, Selina stepped from behind a tree and spotted Vienna. She smiled and snapped her finger causing an acidic type drizzle to fall. Isabelle, noticing this, aided her teammate by taking the higher route and heating up the soul essence around Vienna, in attempt to burn her alive. Manuel, jeered and held his palm out slowing forming a fist. Doing this would cause the space around Vienna to feel as if it were closing in. “We are your team. You have something that belongs to us. Hand over your piece whisper.” Night interlocked his fingers creating a black substance at her feet in hopes of restricting her movements. @Newtype @babyjoker36610 @DergTheDergon

[/media] Kimirou looked up once the figure emerged from the ice. He spoke to himself upon his arrival. He seemed surprised at the fact of Kimirou's presence. Kimirou smirked at the look on the man's face. The man then flicked his hand sending ice shards at Kimirou. Although the speed of the man's hand made it unnoticeable, Kimirou could still see the shards as they materialized and began flying towards him. Kimirou sat with a blank expression upon his face and didn't even budge. As another member of the gentleman's team appeared the shards stopped in mid air and fell into the icy ground. Suddenly a block of ice appeared with a woman inside, yet Kimirou just sat and blankly stared. Vincente then peeked around the corner and muttered something about darkness and him being darker. Kimirou kind of smirked as he contained a giggle after the man's comment. Kimirou found this funny due to as the man spoke, Kimirou pictured him four shades darker. This means the man would be dark chocolate in color. The man then blew on the ice and the woman came to life. The made Kimirou's expression change from a smirk to a confused one. He didn't understand why she spoke to him as if he knew whom she was. Kimirou then noticed the ice sinking back into the icy ground. His kompi decided it was the perfect time to chime in. "Do it." She sounded angry for some reason. *Press Play* Kimirou then took a die from his pocket and flicked it to the icy ground. Like a shark attacking, the icy ground produced a mouth full of black iced teeth and purple veined gums to eat the dice. Kimirou stood, smirking at Glacier the entire time. "Glacier, How wonderful it is to see a family member in person." Kimirou advised Vincente. Kimirou then clapped right in front of his chest. The ground began to rattle and shake. Suddenly a block of ice rose from the icy tundra like land. Just like in Vincente's ice, this ice contained a woman dressed in 1500s wear. Kimirou snapped and the ice around her shattered and flew like dust in the wind. The woman Kimirou summoned then clasped her hands together and looked up towards the woman Vincente summoned. "I know exactly who you are. You are Maria Gaspari, The Aurora Witch. Your name proceeds itself, yet the Asura won't give up their power." The woman Kimirou had summoned, then turned to him and spoke softly, and with nurturing tone. "Don't worry Kimirou my child. This will be over before you know it." Kimirou smirked then rose his right hand into the air and in a tiger paw like fashion. It was pointed towards the woman Vincente summoned. Five dragon heads produced on Kimirous fingertips. "Konservi mu, Tu Mavro Fidi" Left Kimirou's lips. The dragon heads sprang to life and shot out towards the woman. Kimirou quickly interjected. "Don't worry, they are not for you, but for the imbecile behind you." The dragon heads arched around the woman's body and increased speed. Kimirou thought, 'Surly this will draw the snowflake out.'
The woman Kimirou summoned began once again speaking to The Aurora Witch. "I'm sure you know who I am? I mean we did conquer all of Spain together. It's a shame that you always were jealous of the fact that I was the one to kill the King and claim the thrown. However, then you had to waste all of your time and effort trying to get rid of me to claim it for your own. Cousin do you really think I wouldn't have given you a place in the noble line? You ended that on your own. You being the soul creator of the branches to the family. The Asura being the main branch of the family as well as the noble bloodline. The Gaspari being the primary branch beneath Asura as the closest in relation and abilities." Kimirou smirked as the woman spoke. "She sounds just as she did in the dreams." He thought to himself."I'm glad I was finally able to perfect the technique of copying by studying it with my eyes." He continued but then his mind trailed off. "I wonder if Alf is still okay." A flash back clouded Kimirou's thoughts. Kimirou was standing on the land next to the boat. In front of him a few feet away Alf stood there. It was if they were dueling and just waiting to begin. Alf then threw his dagger at Kimirou and began running towards him. Simultaneously Kimirou did the same. The two ran past each other and while running in opposite directions, turned their bodies towards each other. The both reached their right arms out towards each other and simultaneously used Tu Mavro Fidi. Alf's looked similar to Kimirous yet the heads that appeared on his fingertips were snake heads made of blood and not dragon heads made of ice. The Tu Mavro Fidis cancelled each other out by crashing into each other. However, following Kimirou's Tu Mavro Fidi was a few daggers made of ice. Once raced past Alf's head on the left side. the other past his right side. The daggers grazed him giving him gashes where both the daggers met his skin. Alf then used a technique he knew Kimirou couldn't copy. Alf began swirling his hands in the air like they were moving around a ball. Blood begin to produce from both the cuts gathering in his hands into a giant ball of blood. He lifted the ball over his head and was about to throw it at Kimirou when he was blinded by a flicker of shine. Kimirou was doing the exact same thing but he was blowing his icy breathe and the ice was gathering into a giant ball of ice and snow. Alf was flabbergasted at the fact that Kimirou was able to copy this technique in his own way. Kimirou launched the ball at Alf.

Kimirou then broke himself from the memory and back to the duel at hand. The Asura Demon then spoke to the Aurora Witch once again smiling the entire time. "I bet you are wondering how Kimirou was able to summon me just as Vincente summoned you. It's quite simple. You see the Pesaculus' sight capabilities allow the user the use several techniques. One in particular allows the user to mimic that of the opponent's technique. Of course you don't want to exactly mimic the person's abilities that would be preposterous." After she finished her statement. Kimirou and herself stomped the ground simultaneously. This caused the icy ground to shatter and begin flying in the air like broken shards of a mirror. The shards remained suspended in the air. The Asura demon rose her right palm causing many of the shards to travel towards the Aurora Witch and Vincente. Kimirou followed suite by blowing his icy breath at the shards. The shards then shattered into a dust like substance that flew at the two with vigorous speed. "Great job Kimirou, Who knew you would be this great?" Kimirou would have responded but he figured now would be a time to use another example of a great technique for the enemy shall have no rest. Kimirou twitch a few of his fingers. This made a few of the shards move slowly behind the others. They then commenced to transmute into needles. This particular shape of the needles are so aerodynamic they produce not a single inkling of sound. This was a specialty technique he learned form Alf. For only a few days he has equipped Kimirou with an arsenal of great techniques. Th needles then launched themselves at the enemies from the back. With attacks from all sides it seemed as though the enemy was in quite a predicament.

Darious was unsure how he had forgotten about the second more portable prototype he had stowed on the ship but the aerodynamic board felt remarkable to ride, It was just like surfing only through the air. the more Soul essence he sent through the receivers, the faster he would move it was an adrenaline junkies dream board, All that speed with no loss of maneuverability . It was a wonder the forest seemed to be going on forever. at the rate he was travelling he should have come across Vienna by now. He could feel her soul essence and that of Kimirou's in her proximity but the pirate was unable to hone in on their actual position.

He cursed and slowed the board to an idle "Something isn't right here. All of my instincts are pointing to them, but yet I can't find them." he commented aloud, surveying the area. "All of these trees look the same. There's no way in hell they are different trees" Darious's face lit up with realization. A while back he had seen an odd shimmer in the area around him, and right before that he had felt the presence of several new soul essences. "Of course! it's a trap, and I've fallen right into it." he stepped off the board and slung it over his back, took aim and fired a five slugs into a near by tree trunk. Just like magic, some of the trees surrounding him suddenly had the same holes in them. "Assholes"

As he focused on the area he realized there was a certain pattern of the repetitions. Not all of the trees had those bullet holes in them. He began to weave his was through the endless forest, "I know they are around here someplace, just have to find them"

Vincente watched as the hunter in front of him did the same thing he did. He nodded and watched the scene unfolded. Once the Ice shattered, Vincente’s eyes grew as he realized the woman that stood in front of him. He almost turned around and walked away, but his summon told him to wait. As Kimirou’s summon began talking, Vincente watched carefully for anything. He studied every movement and every breath Kimirou took.

Next thing he knew, Kimirou had some sort of dragon heads coming for him. Vincente pivoted his foot, reached into his pocket, and pulled out two ice blades striking down the incoming attack. “That was cute I guess. If that would have hit me I’d be a goner.” He shook his head. The lady in front of him spoke, “My dear. Age has not been grateful to you. You would think all those nights of tea would help.” Vincente then heard the woman speak of his family. He side eyed the woman with a look to kill. When she finished her explanation he spoke up, “That’s funny that’s not how I remember it. I remember the Asura demon freezing the family head. I’m sure you haven’t forgotten the night at the ball. We were superior to you.

No sooner did he finish, the duo stomped the ground of Ice and shards began to come flying at them. The hunter made complete work of the shards and put the two in quite the predicament. It seemed like it was over for the two but the lady Vincente summoned reached into her left pocket and pulled out a Chinese fan. “Gotcha." He smiled to Kimirou, "Do it now!” Vincente spoke as he noticed the signal. He then shattered into fragments of Ice, disappearing “A copy cat huh?” The woman chuckled jerking her hand to release the fan, “I do apologize for not being honest earlier. Honestly, I don’t have a clue about this Maria lady you speak of,” The lady began to raise her soul essence which in turn rose the temperature around them. “But my name is Isabelle.” The shards that were coming toward them melted inches away from her. She jerked her head a little and her teammate appeared behind her with a mask on to shield from the radiation Isabelle was putting off. She then began rapidly shooting Acid bullets pass the duo. Night smiled at Vienna and spoke, “Remember this?” He leaped from the branch and slammed into the ground. He swung he foot around creating a complete circle. He then backflipped from the circle and landed slamming his hand to the ground. After doing this, the circle began to act as a portal of some sort. Out of it came four solid beasts that resembled a black bear. As soon as the last one came out, They darted for Vienna. "Come now Vienna. Let's see how well you remember my pets." Traps were in place and now things were about to get serious. “Manuel, watch over us. We are a bit tied up.” Night radioed. Manuel heard the transmission and smiled, “Will do.” @Newtype @DergTheDergon @babyjoker36610

Sora only remembered falling from the sky as he was blinded by a flash grenade. Then he was suddenly in his inner world with his koumpi though it looked slightly different, the colo scheme of its scales was different. It wrapped it's long snake like body around him and said "Seems those bad pain meds have finally worn off. I have finally returned to normal." Sora cocked his head to the side and then he remembered.

It was the during the graduate celebration he had been experiencing some serious pains from his training and took some meds to get rid of it. Though there must have been something wrong with them as they had a side effect which targeted his koumpi and changed it changing his ability. He had gotten acquainted with that new ability which was shapeshifting and simply kept taken those meds periodically since then. He remembered he had taken his last one a while back, so now he is out of them and his koumpi back to normal and so are his powers.

"You mean I have my old powers back, now I can really dive into the battle?" Sora asked. His koumpi looked like it was ready to crush him. "Is that not what I just said!?" it thundered as lightning flashed within his inner world. "Just go fight your comrades are alread engaged with a new foe." It finished.

Sora then found himself back in the real world. He looked around until he locked onto the soul essences of the others. "Looks like they may find it quite the shock to hear the story about the meds(bad pun). But I guess i should really bolt(bad pun) to them." Sora said. He began to emit an aura of electricity particularly gathered around his feet. He then used kinsi along with free movement and his electric combat to increase his speed to supersonic levels. He trailed lightning as he closed in on the first soul essence he could lock onto Darious's but then he realized the must be engaged with someone in battle because he could sense other soul essences. He however was unaware he was running in circles with an illusion barrier until he began to notice his electric trail was in front of him. He quickly stopped but then found himself falling and rolling a few more circles until he ran out of speed. "Well I guess I am a little rusty or rather dusty." He commented as he got up and dusted himself off. "Too exposed need to hide, I can sense Darious in here but deeper so he'll have to solve this." Sora whispered to himself as he entered True Concealment.

The sudden appearance of Sora's soul essence followed by the haunting voice that echoed through the forest proved distracting to Darious. He had sensed Sora for only a brief moment, then his soul essence vanished again which led the pirate to believe Sora had entered true concealment again so there was no telling where he would pop up. Hopefully it wasn't in front of one of Darious's bullets. The source of the voice however had nothing to trace. It came and went just like the wind and he looked around to try and pinpoint where it had resonated from.

The gust of wind and the rustling bushes drew his focus but it was too late. He hissed through clenched teeth as he felt the biting sting of a bullet tear across his chest then sink into a nearby tree along with two others that had missed him. The pirate's eyes traced the path from whence the bullets had come and he was very much surprised at what was staring back at him.

"Well well. Aren't you a handsome looking fellow" he chided "and no doubt a ladies man If I had to guess. Tell me good chap. Is it that smile or that admirably striking personality that catches them like moths to a flame?" he questioned to the new comer as he tore a long section of his pant leg away to bind his chest. A few more inches over and the slug would be lodged into his rib cage right now instead of the terrible gash left from the bullet's near miss. Darious tapped his chin after a few moments and smiled as the figure before him mimicked the same motions. "I suppose the real question is are you simply a puppet, or something more prominent?" Darious's hand flashed then the pistol roared with an aimed shot at his opponents stomach.

Crouched in silence, Vienna hastily looked up as she felt Night's soul essence materialize above her, staring him down with a neutral expression, keeping an air of calm about her, if just barely. She didn't respond to his goading, save for narrowing her eyes, brandishing her scythe as he came close, analyzing his every move. He was trying to get to her, and she was determined not to let him. He knew full well she'd never betray him unless she was forced to, and the threat of death if they did not acquire this piece certainly qualified as being forced.

Vienna felt conflicted as felt more soul essence shifts then she could keep track of. She knew not taking her She felt Kimirou's intensifying as he raced towards the area of cold blackness, but a split second later, she couldn't feel Darious' or her other teammates' any longer. Noticing one of the other Shadows' essences spike at the same time, she then understood. Manuel had set a trap while she focused on Night. It looks as though only Kimirou was able to break through somehow, at least yet.

Suddenly, Vienna paid the price she feared for not keeping track of the others. Thankfully, she sensed Selina's soul essence rise in order to hurriedly pull her hood up over her head. She wasn't quick enough to stop the others' attacks however... Manuel and Isabelle had effectively began slowly killing her, as well as cutting off any way to escape or fight back. Panic began to set in... it was five against one.. she was done for. "Think again, Whisper," a comforting voice within her head spoke.

Suddenly, Vienna no longer felt the excruciating heat or restriction... in fact, the air suddenly felt even colder than before, somehow. Opening her eyes and regaining her bearings, she watched as Kimirou sped onto the scene and immediately began performing a quick plethora of advanced techniques that was difficult to keep up with. Kimirou had bided her some precious time, and she had no intention of wasting any of it, so she centered herself and gripped her scythe firmly in both hands, turning back towards Night . One of the other shadows, Vicente by the looks of him, approached Kimirou and began talking while raising his soul essence. She wondered what that was all about, but she had more pressing matters to deal with... Night, specifically.

She stared her old friend down as Kimirou and his Shadow counterpart settled whatever score they seemed to have, zeroing in on his words and movements. Thankfully, he wasn't the type to pass up a good one-on-one duel, and he seemed curious as to how Vienna has improved.
"Yes," Vienna's koumpi whispered temptingly, "Show Nightwalker you can surpass him." Vienna felt the excitement of battle wash over her... this is what she lived for, the only time she felt truly alive. Night's teasing question was met with a curt nod as the four bears appeared and began charging her. "They're strong, but you're faster, more precise. Use this to your advantage." Understanding her Koumpi's impromptu advice, Vienna shadow stepped to the right of one bear whilst deftly swinging her scythe, impaling the bear in the mouth as lunged at her. Sinking the blade into the roof of its mouth, Vienna caused it to drop dead.

Vienna kept up this deadly dance with the bears, advancing on Night himself subtly.
You know you cannot keep this up forever, right?" Her Koumpi chimed in. "You're going to have to become one with me to stand a chance of beating him." 'Become one..? Do you mean.. 'Yes... Kage, your awakening. You are so very close to attaining it. Feel the darkness surrounding you, the thrill of battle... do you remember... remember dealing one of the final blows to the terastios?" Suddenly, Vienna's mind was awash with memories of that day, the day she began to hear her Koumpi's voice. Yes, she thought in response. Good... allow your soul essence to overflow, and soon, this blackness will be your domain alone for this fight." Doing as she was told, Vienna focused on increasing her intensity as she fought the bears, keeping an eye on Night as much as she could. She gradually felt a nearly indescribable feeling in her chest, intense emotion rising and threatening to overcome her... and when it did, Night would see just how much she's grown since they'd last met.

Kehinde slow walking caused him to fall severely behind. He looked back to see if the girl was still even there and she was but Kimirou wasn’t. Kehinde looked around rubbed his face with irritation, “Ugh. I guess we can’t rest I suppose.” He thought. “Rest? Are you kidding? You want to rest and your comrades are out there fighting.” The voice in his head spouted off. “Yeah but,” He was interrupted, “But nothing there is no time for rest. Get to it!” The voice screamed. Kehinde sighed and pushed forward. A blast of electricity shot past him with incredible speed. Kehinde grit his teeth, “No excuse me at all. So rude.” He then began feeling a few soul essences all around him. He stopped a minute to figure out which route to take. He didn’t know everyone that well yet so trying to pinpoint would be next to impossible. “Alright, lets see who we have. Vienna went first so she would be the farthest.” He thought. The voice then chimed in, “Lest not forget the guy who was shortly after. Focus and pinpoint on those you are feeling.” @Newtype @Affili @OwlOne

Darkest attack

Beast after beast flew out of the opening and one by one Vienna was knocking them down left and right. “Well, Whisper you have come far.” Night spoke raising to his feet. He then fell into a camouflage and masked his soul essence. He began evaluating the situation at hand. He was closely watching Vienna. Her movements, her breathing pattern, and her body language. He was not as keen at his fellow comrade Manuel, but he has been around long enough to pick up his techniques. Night watched with a proud look on his face as he saw the girl do the very moves he bestowed upon her. Before he knew it he was moving with her actually hoping she wouldn’t get harmed. He shook his head reminiscing about the old days. He really considered Vienna as the sister he never had. To him, it was a shame they had to meet once again under these circumstances. Swallowing his feelings, he materialized a few feet from Vienna. He then clapped his hands together, slowly pivoted his foot, placed one hand behind his back, and thrust out a piece sign. Doing this caused the bears to turn into carnivorous crows that flew at her. “Click,” His finger sounded as he dispersed into a shadow. He then mingled himself within the crows to conceal his movements. From his right sleeve appeared a blade and from his left a bow materialized out of darkness. He continued to run within the crows. As he ran he put the blade within the bow, pulled the bowstring, aimed, and shot it. Following the action, he vanished within the flock of birds planning his next strike. “Dear oh dear. This is about as good as our last sparring match. Do you remember that whisper?” His voice resonated alongside the cawing birds. “Konservi Mu,” A voice yelled out, “Tu Mavro Fidi!” Night chuckled hearing his comrade come to his aide. @Newtype @babyjoker36610 @DergTheDergon @StoneWolf18

Vienna continued swiftly moving and striking, not allowing the bears an opening, and taking every opportunity to strike in one of thier blind spots. She glanced in Nightwalker's direction as she noticed him camouflaging himself out of the corner of her eye, then suddenly, lost all trace of his soul essence. This was Nightwalker's namesake, his ability to entirely conceal himself in darkness, undetectable in every way. He was planning something, but she knew that trying to track him down whilst he was using this ability was pointless... rather, she paid special attention to the creatures, her surroundings, and the soul essences she sensed. One or all of these things would change when he chose to act. As long as she kept that in mind, she'd hopefully be able to keep up without even having to see him. However, he made a point of revealing himself before making his next move. Before Vienna's eyes, the pitch black bears that were left re-materialized into a swarm of crows, coming together whilst Nightwalker simultaneously melded into them, concealing himself one again. At least now, she knew he was running with the flock of crows and had a decent chance of hitting him with a wide enough attack. Unfortunately, the crows moved so fast that she had to focus on shadow-stepping in order to not be caught by them rather than attacking them. As she reappeared a few feet away from the flock, Vienna suddenly caught a glimpse of nightwalker underneath his moving, deadly cover, Dodging then shadow stepping the second she saw the blade he was aiming towards her. She felt a sharp pain in her side once she re-materialized, and looking down she saw that the blade had left a horizontal gash from grazing her side. If she had acted less than a second later it could've hit something vital.

At this very moment Vienna heard her Koumpi's voice resonate within her mind. "This pain, this excitement, this feeling of danger, this is the essence of Kage. Close your eyes, whisper. Breathe deeply... access the deepest reaches of your soul." Closing her eyes for a moment, she heard Nightwalker's goading speech as she began to feel cold, overwhelmed, fearful... but then it ceased, replaced by a feeling of great strength, near euphoric in its potency. As this happened, a chilling whisper not from herself, but a primal-raspy sounding voice slowly and clearly spoke "Ka-Ge." Her soul essence skyrocketed in an instant, permeating the area as she spoke her reply, a chilling whisper that seemed quiet and loud all at once, clearly audible to everyone inside the area of darkness. "Yes, I remember... but I'd say this encounter is even better, because now, I shall surpass you." With that, the blackness surrounding Vienna seemed to swallow her, leaving her invisible and her soul essence evenly spread throughout the shadow, effectively disallowing Nightwalker to find her by sensing her essence.

The words "Konservi Mu", loudly announced from one of the other shadows, suddenly caught Vienna's attention and only then did she open her eyes, revealing two pitch-black orbs where her violet pupils were just moments ago. She raised her hands and forcefully thrust them together over her head, before swinging each arm down, palms outward, until her arms were stretched out on either side of her, molding the shadows with every motion. Now, she had a protective orb of solid darkness surrounding her clashing with the bindings created by her faction mate's Tu Mavro fidi, trying with all her might to break the bindings before they could even close around her. She wouldn't be bound here, in the darkness that was her domain... not if she could help it.

"I sense a rising soul essence they may need my assitance." Sora said as he was about to drop True Concealment but found himself stopped. True Concealment had him actually hiding with the illusionary layer and moving through it relatively easy approaching the next layer but now he heard his koumpi's voice and found himself drawn into his inner world gazing upon the large blue and gold dragon that hovered in a stormy environment. "No you must wait, at any time another enemy could attack. You must guard the backs of your comrades and as well rehabilitate yourself on your powers." It said.

"It's coming back fast enough." Sora replied. "The knowledge and powers themselves are fully back but the spirit of them and their connection to you has been lacking. You need to revisit your past and truly reconnect with your powers." His koumpi replied. Before Sora could ask what he meant he found himself back in the Dragon Strait. The form of his koumpi hovered in the sky above him. Then he saw it, his younger self coming charging through the trees with lightning all around him.

As he watched this something else nagged at him, but ir was unrelated to what he was seeing. "Whenever there is lightning, it is followed by Thunder! Words of the Kaminari Clan. I shall one day have an awesome lightnin related title of my own. But for now I'll just be Sora Kaminari!" The younger Sora exclaimed before a few other ninja came through the forest. "Relax kid you have just begun your training don't go wandering off you can die that way." One of them warned. "Relax for I am the very embodiment of lightning and the one that dominates it. I shall be fast and strike hard and give my opponents a great big shock!" Pasr Sora proclaimed. "Well you just got grounded." The ninja answered back as the other ninja took hold of Sora and then vanished. Before they vanished Sora said "I see what you did there."

Then Sora found himself back his usual inner world. "Where is that spark now? Where is the Lightning Emperor? Where is the Raitei? Where is the one worthy of being aided by the Raikouryuu?!" The Dragon thundered. Sora looked down and then he just felt a click or spark or something that caused his soul essence to spike. "I am right here. I am the Lightning Emperor, I am the Raitei!" Sora replied. The Dragon seemed to reach his desired result as it quited. Then Sora asked "Another thing, who are you? It's no coincidence that you're a dragon called the Raikouryuu and I used to live in the Dragon Strait." The Dragon coiled itself then replied. "Well you did just answer your question. It's called the Dragon Strait for a reason and think about it your clan name which means thunder and think about your clan's words. The one who began your clan used to be alongside me. I guess you can say we are entertwined or rather my form was fated to be your koumpi. Now go live up to your name." Sora found himself back in the real world and said aloud "I will!." Then he dropped True Concealment and began increasing his soul essence and producing an aura of electricity. If the enemy didn't know he was here now they do.

Kehinde evaluated the situation at hand as he looked around at his surroundings. He was amazed at how elaborate this illusion was for just one person. “So back then, was it this big?” He thought to himself. “This is mere child’s play compared to Sabas. When he did an Illusion, it was like something out of a fiction novel. This guy still has a little work to put in. When the Akachi household came into fruition, all those legends were put to rest.” The voice replied. Kehinde still keeping his eyes on the replica responded, “Put to rest? How so?” The voice then chuckled, “Man where do I start. Let's see it started with your great Grandfather. He was the patriarch of the family. The man who put your family on the map. Unlike your Grandfather, his father was a master strategist. He used his power to aid warriors in battle, give them cover, and ward of enemies. It was said he destroyed an entire unit by himself with just a single illusion. The man didn’t even lift a finger. Then this man had seven children, four boys, and three girls. Only one of them inherited the power of the Akachi. That was your grandfather, instead of letting it go to his head, he used it to cement the foundation of his family. He employed his sibling within the Egyptian hierarchy, made the Akachi name a powerhouse back then. Well, he met a woman named Efe Bennu of Ra who was a direct descendant of Amenhotep IV, fate had it that the two families merge. Akachi, of the Ramses the great line and Bennu, of the Amenhotep line. With that merging, that solidified the name of the Akachi within the continent of Africa. That’s all I’m saying for right now. I’ll tell you more when the time is right. Now, you have a long family enemy to deal with.” The voice finished.

Following the explanation, the replica addressed Kehinde. He knew the same thing as the real Darious knew. He noticed that Sora was now a part of the battle. His soul essence was high so that must have meant he was here to handle some business as well. He nodded to Sora acknowledging his presence. Kehinde then squinted his eyes and was about to put this thing to sleep when from behind the tree a man started walking toward them. The voice inside his head immediately spoke, “I thought so.” Kehinde tilted his head to get a better look and recognized the markings on the man’s face. As he got closer, Kehinde slowly backed up. “Good job boy. Keep the distance. Keep in mind, if I remember correctly, they are skilled in close and long ranged illusions.” The man then stopped and introduced himself as Manuel Lubarna. Kehinde was kind of shocked because he didn’t know that someone from his homeland would also be a part of the U.S Faction. Another thing that was bugging Kehinde was the fact that this guy knew a lot about him, but Kehinde knew little about this guy. “Don’t let that bother you. The members of the Akachi are widely known. You don’t know much about him because his family died off because of the Akachi.” The voice spoke within his head. @Newtype

After the man bowed, he went on about him being called the King of Illusions. Kehinde shook his head at the sad attempt of trying to get inside his head. Before he could react the guy backed up. “Alright son, it’s show time. It looks like….” Then the guy began opening his left eye, “N…no….Kehinde get out of the way!” The voice screamed. Apart of Kehinde’s soul essence pulsated alongside the guy’s own soul essence. It appeared to be too late for Kehinde and so he fell to his knees eyes bulged out and mouth wide open. He then fell to the ground twitching and bleeding from his mouth. “Lord Akachi! Get up! Kehinde…..Kehinde! Get up!” The voice called out.

I’m fine.” Kehinde responded sitting on the tree branch like he was earlier. Kehinde’s eyes had a violet colored tint in them. “Wait what?” The voice spoke with a confused tone. “Come on. Don’t tell me you fell for that.” He responded. “No….I didn’t I was just trying to root for the squirrel.” The voice quickly returned. “Admit it I had you a little scared. You thought I was the real thing down there. Do you really think I’m going to hop into something without first getting a feel for things?” Kehinde replied. “Of course not I knew the whole time. I hated when your Great Grandfather did that.” Kehinde smiled and looked to the apparition that introduced himself as Manuel Lubarna, “A replica huh?” Kehinde’s voice resonated, “That’s no fun. Where is the real mastermind behind this hefty trick? Actuality is one thing, but reality is another. I know what happened, but what do you think happened?” Kehinde continued looking at the other squirrel. He then felt a chilling burst in soul essence come from somewhere in the forest. To him, it felt like he was back fighting the Terastios. “This is bad. We need to get over there fast.” He thought to himself. “I’m sure they’ll be fine. Right now you need to be focusing on this.” The voice reaffirmed. @OwlOne @Affili @Newtype @DergTheDergon

Time: 6:45pm

:2/5: Basic Information

Temperature: 69 degrees

Wind: 3 knots

Weather: Night Showers to be expected. Scattered thunderstorms. Blizzard is possible within the forest area.

Season: Fall

As the birds engulfed his former comrade, Night rematerialized on a tree branch. *Press Play* He closed his eyes and thought back to the time he first met Vienna. How scared and fragile she was. The little girl from back then was now a grown woman today and matching his skills. From the sleepless nights to the comforting hugs, this was the woman she turned out to be. “An exquisite young lady indeed,” He mumbled. “Something on your mind Night?” Vincente showed up. Night wiped a tear from his eye, “It’s nothing. Something had gotten into my eye is all.” Vincente chuckled, “It’s ok to be happy Night. I’m just as happy to see the little girl from back in the day grow up to be a fine woman. Not to mention find herself allied with a great group of people.” Night squinted at Vincente, “Great group of people?” Vincente nodded and pointed at Kimirou, “Yes a great group of people. That guy came to her aid and somewhere in the forest there are more coming to her as we speak. I really feel as though these guys will be the ones to change things around Night.” Night still looking at Vienna replied, “I agree. The council of yesterday is swiftly moving into today. All this senseless division needs to end anyhow. I’m proud to say I am living through such a time. I’m also proud to say I have met the most awesome people during my time here and wouldn’t trade it for the world. And that means you Vienna.” Vincente placed his hand on Night’s shoulder, “Being a hunter means we protect the world from those who harm our people. No matter what faction they come from or how they look. A comrade will always be a comrade even if they are in another faction. Now let’s show Vienna how proud we are.” Night smiled and jumped down from the branch, “Yes let’s do it.” As he began his counter attack he began to think, “Vienna. If I ever cross paths with you again I will tell you how proud I am of you and that I will always be there when you need me. You have found you great friends hold on to them and cherish them because they come around once in a lifetime.”

With that, he charged in only to be met with a sudden surge in soul essence. His eyes widened as the feeling pushed him back to the day He and Venna trained. Her power increased drastically that day. It was unlike something he’d ever seen come from a child. As he came to, he uttered the words, “It’s Kage.” He stopped his advance, grabbed Vincente, and turned the other way using Kinsi to get out of dodge. Just barely he made it to a safe spot. “Did the Konsido hit?” Night questioned. Vincente shrugged, “I’m not really sure. All I saw was orbs being held in place. I hope Isabelle was able to get out of the way.” Night trying to catch his breath responded, “They’re fine. They would have jetted by the time she got the first syllable out of her mouth.” Night finally regained his composure and stood to his feet. He brought his hand up to his ear, “Manuel, we’re in trouble over here. Vienna went into awakening. Isabelle and Selina if you can here me please respond.” @Newtype @StoneWolf18 @DergTheDergon @Of the Red @babyjoker36610

Dear Vienna,

We are very happy that you found friends that are willing to protect you. We do not want your adventure to end here. We feel as though you all will flourish and finally be a good entity in this horrendous excuse of a world. We hope that you all will be the change to make things better. Keep your friends close Vienna and please protect them with all your heart. As a thank you to them and a congratulations to you, we have left you a centerpiece and two pieces to a puzzle. You only need three more pieces to complete the puzzle and get the second tier promotion.

Best wishes,

Manuel, Night, Vincente, Selina, and Isabelle.

P.s. Of course Isabelle kissed the paper so after her name it was burned, luckily there wasn’t anything else written.

Kimirou smirked as the woman Vincente summoned expressed that she wasn’t the family member. He watched as Vincente successfully made an escape. Kimirou then chuckled to the woman. “Wow impressive. To bad you guys don’t know what the meaning of a trojan horse is.” His faction ability allowed him to just speak and make everyone believe that the ice puppet he summoned from the ice was actually his Koumpi. Right, as he was about to detonate the ice puppet sending a plethora of hunter tools flying towards the girls, a rather intense spike of soul essence distracted him. Kimirou looked in Vienna’s direction and gazed upon her as she evoked awakening. He took a few steps forward slowly almost in a trance as this was the first time he saw a member of his team go into awakening, for all he knew. Those few steps actually saved him from the acid bullets that flew past the back of his head, missing it by only a few inches. By the time Kimirou had turned around the girls were already gone. He stood there with a confused look placed upon his face. “Why do you look so confused Kimirou? Just be happy that they left. You wouldn’t have stood a chance. Isn’t that how you lot talk in this time?@DergTheDergon

His koumpi asked in his head. Kimirou quickly screamed in his head. Did they just leave? Really…. no challenge or anything? This su…..wait…. Did you just say I wouldn’t stand a chance? I will have you know I was the top of my class for a reason. And no…. cause no one uses lot anymore to express a group of people. Also, the only people who speak in that manner would be the lesser types that are all ghetto and such.” His kompi retorted in a sensual way. “Well I mean you were just about to die and I mean you don’t have full control of your abilities quite yet.” Kimirou responded quite easily. “I guess you are right….I do need to train more. At Least, I have you as a teacher.” His koumpi responded. “Yes, you do. First lesson…...that is how you use Asura Obturbo.” Kimirou quickly realised what was going on and was snapped out of it when his Koumpi named Asura Obturbo. He quickly yelled at his koumpi. How dare you use Distract on me….. And what the hell is Asura Obturbo?” His koumpi informed him. “Asura Obturbo is a technique I developed to deceive our enemies. Many hunters adapted to it and named it the Asura Obturbo. What is this Distract you speak of?” Kimirou informed his koumpi. “It is basically what you just said, but it is what the Gamblers Faction developed. That must be why I am so good at using it.” His koumpi added. “I’ll say. I knew you were using Asura Obturbo as soon as you started.

Kimirou was so distracted with the conversation he and his koumpi were having, the only thing that brought him out of it was his ice puppet exploding on its own. Kimirou ran over as there was an item sitting where it was. It looked like the piece the Eighth gave his team back when they were on the ship. He nudged the piece with his foot to see if it was real, but it crumbled to dust. With that being said, he really didn’t care since they already had a centerpiece. “They could have at least left us a real piece to a puzzle,” Kimirou mumbled out loud to himself. @OwlOne

Focusing her entire being on maintaining the solid darkness shield around herself, Vienna stood rigid with hand's tightly folded in front of her chest, eyes closed, feeling the chains continue to relentlessly clash with her protective orb. She felt the Konsido's pressure slowly weakening, and Vienna increased her soul essence as high as it could possibly go. In that moment, she realized that the shockwave she was about to send throughout this area of darkness could severely harm her faction mates. "They will escape unscathed... do not falter, show them your true potential now!" Encouraged and spurred on by her Koumpi's words, Vienna forcefully thrust her arms out to her sides palms outwards once again, feeling the bindings finally let up on thier previously relentless constriction of her darkness-shield, as the orb expanded to the full capacity of the darkened area. Exhausted from all this exertion, Vienna fell to her knees, catching her fall with her hands as the panted in exhaustion.

Suddenly, Vienna noticed something very startling: The only nearby soul essence she felt now was Kimirou's. She didn't even sense traces of her faction mates anymore... they seemed to have used Kinsi to retreat from the Island entirely.
'But... why? Have they willingly forfeited the Kunina?' "Yes, indeed they have," her koumpi quickly responded. "They've gotten all they wanted out of your encounter with them... and they seem to realize how important it is that you succeed, regardless of thier ignorance of the consequences if you fail." 'What do you mean?' "Patience. You'll see. Be on the lookout for a peculiar-looking squirrel." Vienna's face assumed a look of confusion at these words, but she's learned by now that questioning this voice is pointless.

Right when Sora was about to make an epic and flashy entrance into the battle he realized he couldn't sense any enemy soul essences. "Where did they go?" He asked aloud but actually to his koumpi. "It would appear they have retreated from the Kunina in general." Then Sora head the familiar sound of something frying from his electricity. His aura faded as he looked down to see a puzzle piece. Sora scooped it up and took it in his fingers eyeballing it. He then exclaimed pumping his hand in the area a little electricity traveling up it as he did. "Yes finally we are making some progress." Then Sora's koumpi Raikouryuu had to ruin the moment "You have atleast two more to go." Sora stopped celebrating for a moment and then a smile creeped over his lip "2 more to go means two more chances to show off my awesomeness!"

"Your comrades are converging on the position of the Shadow faction member, get there." Raikouryuu ordered. Sora nodded and then used free movement and kinsi to rapidly run along nearby branches of the trees. He found himself remembering more of his time in the Dragon Strait, the days of brutal fast paced training. But also the good times which even includes the times Miria put her fist or her foot in his face whenever he tried to hit on her.He found himself wondering how his fellow ninja made it out of the whole Terastios situation. But they were probably worrying a little more about him then he was about them, being he is in the Kunina. He hoped they were watching because he plans to really have his own epic battle where he shows off his awakening. "In due time." His koumpi said. Sora's eyes widened as he realized his koumpi was eavesdropping on his thoughts. He then landed in the clearing a little bit away from the Shadow girl. He was now on edge, the Kunina wasn't over someone else was bound to come for them and Sora had to be ready.

Yes, I understand.” Kehinde responded to the voice. Kehinde waited for Manuel to respond to him. Getting a glimpse of what he could do showed him, he needed to approach with caution. From his time at home, his dad would tell him about the Lubarna line and it’s branch families. He heard of there being strong family members, but he never thought he would meet one of them today. Kehinde kept replaying the words of the voice in his head over and over. Then feeling the odd pulse from the part of his soul essence being affected. It gave him chills like no other. “Everything ok son?” The voice in his head asked. “Just the feeling from earlier won’t go away. Felt as if despair was knocking at my door.” Kehinde replied. “I see….Well, Kehinde you have to realize that there are people out there that are stronger than you. Right now, you aren’t even close to your true potential. You were born with a gift, but in order to unlock that gift you have to work at it. Just like you, he started off with little to no talent, but he worked hard and is still working and look where he is now. It’s not going to come overnight you have to be patient. You’ll see trust me.

After the conversation between him and his koumpi, he came back to reality only to see Manuel departing. Kehinde furrowed his eyebrow in confusion. He was confused as to why the enemy would retreat after engaging them. “Look there!” The voice in his head directed. Kehinde shot his eyes over to see what the voice was talking about. To his surprise, something had run up to Sora and, of course, he fried it. “Poor guy didn’t even stand a chance against that much energy.” Kehinde’s eyes widened once he realized what the fried animal brought to them. It looked like a piece and from the looks of Sora’s reaction it had to be the real deal. “So they left you guys a piece?” The voice questioned. “It appears so, but I wonder why?” Kehinde responded leaping down from the tree branch. “Doesn’t matter why, you have a piece now that’s all that matters. I’m sure they had their reasons as to why.” Kehinde looked over to Darious to make sure he was ok. It looked like he sustained a minor injury from the fight with himself. “I guess the saying is true. The worst battle one can have is a battle with themselves.” Kehinde thought as he paused looking at Darious. “That is correct. Only you know yourself better than anyone else. That’s why is such a challenge.” The voice chimed in. Kehinde turned and looked over his shoulder at Darious, “Come on big guy. We have a score to settle.” He smiled. @Newtype @Affili @OwlOne

After that, Kehinde took off after Sora using Kinsi to jump from branch to branch. As he was going, he could feel his body start to weigh down from exhaustion. Probably due to all of what took place throughout the day. Since this morning, they haven’t stopped at all, even when they arrived on the ship. Kehinde shook his head and pushed on, “Your body is starting to feel a day’s work. About time, you actually did something.” The voice joked. “Ahh shut up I always helped out in the yard and stuff.” Kehinde returned. “I was kidding my goodness. Seriously, though, you don’t have much soul essence left and I presume your teammates don’t either. Remember you still have an Hirudo out there.” Kehinde slapped his forehead and drug his hand down his face, “Damn I almost forgot about that. Between the flash bang technique and the deal with Manuel, I’ve almost used up everything.

Finally catching up to the group Kehinde landed on the ground panting. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he rose to his feet and looked around in awe, “What the hell happened here?” He thought. “I would say this is the result of what you felt back there. Seems like an intense battle happened.” Kehinde spoke, “Hope everybody faired well during this whole fiasco. Darious is behind us. I’m not sure about the new girl I didn’t see her anywhere during the fights. Hope she is alright. Now the real task at hand is catching up with that Hirudo.” He adjusted his shirt and continued, “The time that passed it would be no doubt that the other team has caught up to the beast or even captured it. If so, that would mean another battle unfortunately and right now I don’t think I could go another round without rest first. What do you guys think? Any Ideas?” He offered to the others hoping to get their input. Kehinde fell back into his thoughts thinking about the teamwork from earlier. Seemed like they were making progress according to him. He was still in disbelief about working with another faction. Not to mention so well. He just smiled and took in all that took place around him. @DergTheDergon @Newtype @babyjoker36610 @Affili @OwlOne @StoneWolf18

The precursor to the battle was an interesting show down between two illusionists, but the wound on the pirate's chest was real enough. The replica of Darious had proven to have its own consciousness for the most part. A pity when everything was over the only thing left of the handsome replica was a squirrel. It would have been an interesting experience to duel with himself but from what he could recall, once Manuel had opened his eye, everything grew dim. He was aware of Kehinde's presence behind him and discerned that he was countering the illusions with his own skills and that is probably why the fight never actually began. The final thing he could recall was a massive spike in soul essence off the way Kehinde went following their encounter with Manuel and Darious the Second. Once it was all over, the infinite forest fell away and it was quite easy to sense everyone else's soul essence once more.

He looked down at his wound, then further to his now shredded pant leg before sighing and tearing another strip from the other side exposing his undergarments on one side of the pants. "I really must do my best to learn a healing Konsido as soon as possible" he said to himself as he secured the strip across his chest with a grunt,

Using Kinsi to close the distance and rejoin the others, he appeared in front of them soon after Kehinde arrived. He looked around at those with the other puzzle pieces and with a nonchalant shrug, he withdrew the puzzle piece he had taken from the eighth earlier indifferent to his torn pants that were magnificently whipping about in the breeze.

"Well that makes three pieces and three more to go but I somehow doubt they will be so conveniently delivered to us. I hope you all fared better than me." He finished with a smile.

Watching those that had raced into the woods, and being a bit confused, Evan decided to follow though at a much slower pace. "Falling out of trees is incrediblely practical yah know..." Frowning, Evan replied in a sour tone. "Really? Right now? Thanks." "Hey, at least you hit the damned thing." "See! At least good came out of me falling..." as she continued forward, the destruction was quite present. Trees snapped in half, the earth looking like it had been gouged out with the claws of a giant beast. The assassin took her sniper off of her back and held it ready, all this was making her feel a bit uneasy. "Calm down, don't need to shoot the first thing that moves." "Why do I even try with you?" "Love you too, Hun."

After having walked quite a ways, carefully as the wreckage was quite thick, Evan picked up the pace a bit. She needed to regroup with the others if she wanted to A. Get out of these cursed forest and B. Keep her head on her shoulders. The council wouldn't take kindly to a lack of information.

(I apologize for the length. I am running on little to no sleep and am in a car at the moment...)

A few moments after Kimirou inspected the piece and it crumbled, Vienna walked up and began to speak to him. Kimirou turned to her and noticed that it looked as if she had been crying. “What’s wrong Vienna? Why does it look like you have been crying?” Kimirou had completely forgot about the other team just up and leaving when he saw Vienna’s face. A few moments later, Sora showed up and the static he was giving off made the hairs on Kimirou’s neck stand on end. “Well I see someone has gotten back to his old self.” Kimirou greeted him. Kimirou always knew something was off about Sora due to the feeling he got from Sora’s soul essence. It was as if it was fighting itself. Kimirou looked down at Sora’s hand and his eyes widened at the sight of another piece. He quickly looked up to Sora and asked. “They left you a piece too?” Before Sora could respond, however, Kehinde had appeared. Kimirou could tell that Kehinde’s soul essence was very weak, as was all of theirs. Kimirou quickly nodded at the comment of rest. At that point Kimirou sat down on the ground in order to catch a little. Right after he did, Darious showed up with a missing pant leg and his underwear showing. @Newtype @FrontLine @Affili

Kimirou closed his eyes at the sight but heard exactly what Darious was saying. Apparently the other team upon fleeing left behind two pieces. Kimirou with his eyes still shut spoke up. “Vienna I think you should do the honor of seeing if they fit our centerpiece.” Kimirou’s koumpi decided it was the perfect time to chime in. “Are you really shielding your eyes? It’s not like you are going to see anything.” Kimirou retorted out loud but didn’t notice until he had finished his statement. “Thanks to the blessed eyes you have given me, I would see everything like it was right in my face. NO THANK YOU!!!!!” When he noticed he had just screamed he stood to his feet and turned away. Kimirou opened his eyes. “I do apologize you guys, but it seems my koumpi has a few cruel tricks she wants to play on me. Oh yeah.” He then pointed behind him where Darious would be standing. “Can you please fix that sir. I’m sure no one wants to be scarred for life.” With that Kimirou began walking forward as he once again felt the Hirudo’s soul essence. “If you guys are wondering where I am going, the Hirudo is still here. Let’s go before it gets away.” Kimirou’s Koumpi then once again spoke up. “Excuse me, but how useful do you think you are going to be when you are this tired?” Kimirou retorted. “I am more than just my soul essence. I am a hunter and do not need my abilities in order to protect this world from evil.” @DergTheDergon @Affili @OwlOne
