Conundrum: The Question Without An Answer (Season One)

And so Felix, you are going to have to learn to control your emotions if you plan on having people accept you. You're just a teenager, so you’re at that age where you….how do I say...go through changes.” A female voice spoke over the speaker. Felix sighed and put his head in his hands, “I know Betty, but seriously it’s becoming worse and worse and I don’t think I can do it anymore without…” The voice quickly interrupted, “No, you can. You don’t need medicine for something you can control yourself, Felix. You are just wanting to take the easy road.” Taking a deep breath, Felix reached into his coat pocket and pulled out his flute, “I’ve been working on a piece. I was wondering if you’d listen to it.” *Ring Ring Ring.* “Wait a second Felix, I have a call coming in.” With that, Betty reached for her phone and pressed the button. “Betty Donite. I’m with a client make it quick.

At that moment, a very familiar voice came across the speakers. “Betty Hun, I’m worried about sweet cheeks.” Betty took a second to look at the phone to see who it was. Once she realized it she replied, “Remind me who that is again?” “Hunny, you know exactly who I am talking about. I told him to talk to someone and now I can’t find him anywhere. This is really starting to scare me. Have you talked to him?” Betty seemingly sighed over the phone as she figured out who it was he was talking about. To be honest, she was a bit worried herself because the phone calls were becoming a bit more frequent than usual. Pausing a moment she explained, “Felix is just….going through some things right now. You know with the anniversary of the death of his Grandmother coming up. He’s been trying to cope. You know that's all he had Nereus. If anyone you’re the only one he’s actually opened up to.” The voice interrupted, “I don’t want to hear that. He has all the rest of us. Margie, Sebastian,” Betty in turn spoke over him, “You’re right, but he doesn’t see that. Believe it or not, you guys hurt him when you tease him and stuff. Losing someone at such….” The voice once again interrupted but not directly to Betty. “Sweet Cheeks! Don’t make me call out your real name now, where did you go?? I’m listening Betty continue… where did that boy go?” Betty giggled a little, “Nereus I think you are starting to grow a soft spot for the boy. I’ve never heard you speak like this about someone. I’m curious…..what did his brother actually say to you? I mean you guys dated and all.” Niclaus stopped dead in his tracks when Betty mentioned his ex. “Betty, you are Felix’s Therapist not mine. Please stop asking me that damn question. Otherwise, you will forever be known as blocked. Ok so kick brick buildings you barefooted bitch. Now back to the task at hand. Have you talked to Him or not because if you aren’t going to help and you are going to analyze me then I’ll hang up.” Betty’s tone of voice changed a little after hearing the response. She was a bit taken aback by the tone he took with her, but her prying methods got the best of her, “Nereus he did entrust you with the blood of his younger sibling before he took ill. Still haven’t told Felix what happened yet have you?” All that could be heard was a click and a dial tone. Niclaus was now roaming the halls looking for Felix even more frivolously. The thoughts of the conversation running through his head. One particular thought crossed his mind and stopped him in his tracks again thanks to Betty.

Niclaus let someone get close to him only once in his life. That person contained Niclaus’ complete and unconditional love and trust. This person was Isi Mamani. As this memory of this individual flew across his mind, his body seemed to fill with sadness and disappointment. Niclaus was in the infirmary, walking into the elevator. The tears that fell from his eyes just wouldn’t stop. The bell on the elevator dinged and the tears finally stopped. His face was stuck in an astonished expression. His body seemed to move itself off of the elevator and up to the doors of one of the rooms. Quickly, Niclaus wiped the tears from his face and put on a smile. He walked into the room instantly starting to talk in hopes of sparking a conversation. “Today has been so wonderful. I went shopping and Look at the flowers I brought aren’t they pretty?” Niclaus looked over to the patient lying on the bed. “Well, aren’t you all gussied up for little ole me?” The man asked. Niclaus walked over and sat beside him on the bed. “Well, you know…. I can’t visit my husband while he is in the hospital without putting on something sexy.” The man then started with a more serious tone. “Baby you can stop pretending everything is going to be fine. I know what is going to happen. Plus you forget that I can feel your vibrations. For a person that can literally control senses, you don’t even know how to hide your own emotions.” Niclaus rested his hand on his arm. “Baby everything is going to be fine. Trust me I can feel it.” The man continued after Niclaus’ statement while placing his other hand on top of Niclaus’. “I do trust you. That is why I have a favor to ask you.” Niclaus looked at the man trying to hold back his tears. “Watch after Felix. I am trusting him with you. Love him as you loved me.” “Of course my love. Anything for you.” Niclaus ended his response with a kiss for the man. After a few moments of kissing the monitor flatlined. The nurses came in and pulled Niclaus off of Isi. Tears streaming down his face, Niclaus stepped back a few steps and put his hands over his mouth and nose letting all of his tears fall. “Sir, are you okay?” A sailor’s random question brought Nicklaus back to reality. He was crying foreal. He looked over to the sailor. “Really do you not know what the meaning of a private moment is?” Niclaus then rose from where he was, wiped his face, and angrily dialed Betty’s number back.

As Betty was about to click back over to Felix her phone once again made a beeping noise within in her ear. She saw who it was and wanted to ignore it, but because of who she was, she picked it up, “What Nereus?” “Where is the little bastard? I know he is playing that…… wait is that him in…… yeah he is in your background playing that very damn song. You know exactly where he is. Tell me, Betty. I know you are on a video call with him.” Niclaus responded. Betty exhaled and hung up on Nereus to click back over to Felix. He had just finished the last note of his song, “Did you like it, Betty?” “I did, but Niclaus didn’t. He knows we are on video chat. Also, disregard what I said earlier.” Niclaus looked at his phone in anger when Betty hung up in his face. “I can’t believe she just did that.” He then calmed himself and used his ability to sense Felix’s soul essence. Once locked on he raced in that direction. Felix shook his head and his blood began to boil. Creeping slowly up the side of his face was a vein that branched all the way up to his temple. “He’s starting to piss me off,” He grunted. “Calm yourself, Felix. I knew I shouldn’t have answered…” Throwing down the phone in mid-sentence of Betty, Felix stormed over to the door, kicked it open, and slowly proceeded into the hallway. Niclaus was waiting for him and as soon as he saw Felix uttered the words “Blackout” and snapped his fingers simultaneously. This technique was in Niclaus’ key arsenal. It shut off all the opponent's senses, feeling, taste, sight, hearing, and smell. Felix was now a vegetable standing in the middle of the hall. As Nicklaus passed Felix he murmured. “Calm the fuck down.” Nicklaus then entered the room and walked over to the video communicator phone Felix had. He picked it up and yelled into it looking dead at Betty. “Take this bitch and ya ain’t getting paid either.” With that, Niclaus hung up the video call and returned to Felix. He snapped his fingers and gave Felix back the hearing and tasting so he would be able to hear and talk.

Felix’s anger had now begun to peak as Niclaus used one of his techniques on him. Everyone knew that pissing this ticking time bomb off was a mistake in and of itself. Losing all senses and thinking abilities, Felix’s soul essence began to seep into the hallway creating an odd noise around him. He watched as Niclaus yell at his therapist and rudely interrupt his session. Once Niclaus gave him the ability to speak he went in, totally changing his demeanor, “Oh my goodness. I forked out a good deal of urd for that phone call,” His soul essence rose, “Weeks of waiting and trying to fit into her schedule,” He began to crack, “So this is how you're rude, no class, over the top, and incompetent ass repays me fine….” Niclaus interrupts Felix. “If you don’t calm yourself I’ll make you sense that your soul essence is zero. Try raising it from there.” Niclaus stopped and his tone changed completely. “How dare you make Betty think I didn’t tell you about your brother’s dying wish? That hurt alot. Why would you do that? And why would you play the very damn song that I forbade you to play?” With his questions, Niclaus accidently got too emotional and released Felix. Felix, shutting out all that was around him, felt he could move his body again, capitalizing on that, he rose the flute that was in his hand to his mouth, “Flute chords vibration,” His soul essence gathered around the sound of the flute, “Song of the Atsina tribe.” Playing this would vibrate his soul essence and travel along the path of the sound. To the opponent, it would feel as if mini blades were being hurled at them.

As Niclaus turned around back to Felix, he noticed what he was doing. First thing Niclaus did was smirk. “Did you forget that I am the controller of senses. Without feeling a sense your ability has no effect on me. And without the sense to hear your flute that makes it even worse.” With that response and the abilities Niclaus possessed he was correct. By canceling out the feeling of vibrations, he wouldn’t be harmed by them. By cutting off his ability to hear the flute the vibrations from it wouldn’t be able to enter his ears at all. This made Felix’s attempt to harm Niclaus a complete and utter failure. Still slowly cracking Felix jeered, “Oh that’s right silly me, bitches like you have to cut off hearing so you can’t hear yourself.” Vanishing from view and reappearing behind Niclaus with the sharp edge of his flute to his throat, he continued, “I told her that because I blame you. It was your doing that made him die. Your fault! that he left me. So lets not forget about that. They don’t call me the seventh knight for nothing so don’t your little prissy ass forget it. If it wasn’t for my brother I would have slit your throat a long time ago. You piss me off for one reason only! and that is because you took my brother away from me.” Tears began falling from Niclaus’ face as Felix spoke. “He never told you before he died did he?” Before Felix could even respond Niclaus continued. “Felix I didn’t take your brother away from you.” Felix brought the flute closer to his juggler, “Doesn’t matter. Your words mean nothing to me.” Niclaus grew weary and finally uttered the word. “Dance” with those words he cut off the feeling of motion in Felix’s body. Niclaus now had control of this sense of motion. With his mind, Niclaus moved Felix’s hand away from his neck. He walked a few steps forward and turned around facing Felix. “I love you, Felix. Just like I loved your brother. But don’t get it twisted. I gave you Seventh and took Eighth for us to be close. That way I can ensure we would be grouped together. Didn’t you ever wonder why only after your first test they put you in Seventh?” With those words, Niclaus turned away and vanished from sight.

After completely vanishing, the “Dance” technique wore off. Felix regained his feeling once again and rolled up his sleeve. By this point, his breathing pattern rapidly increased by the second. He brought the hand with the flute in it and brought it over to his right wrist. Taking the sharp edge of it, he proceeded to drag it deep and slowly across his wrist. Seeing this, one sailor rapidly knocked the instrument out of the teenager’s hand causing it to fly to the wall breaking. Felix fell to his knees and began to wail from the sorrow, pain, and heartbreak. The sailor grabbed him and began to rock him in hopes of calming him down. @Newtype @babyjoker36610 @FrontLine @DergTheDergon @Affili

Meanwhile in the captain’s quarters, Wes disregarded everything that Darious said because he was upset he was operating on another guy. “It’s best you shut up and let me…..” Wes became silent at the sight of the lengthy cut. He grabbed the flask on the desk and chugged some of it. Slamming it down and then taking a deep breath he leaned in a bit closer. He then began to reach his hands up towards Darious, they were shaking furiously. Obviously Wes distained a high discord for having to touch another dude on the chest. Wes typically felt getting all touchy and feely with women would be great, however even the thought of touching a man literally brought him to regurgitation. He slightly puked in his mouth when his hands finally made contact. Wes then became distracted when Darious mentioned the Healing Konsido. For a second, He had forgotten the very thing he was doing. He chuckled at Darious. “You know there are so many Healing Konsido that are out there. And that I of all people know. But you know the sad part. You want to know what it is? It’s the fact that I won’t teach any of them to you.” Wes then continued angrily. “Cause I have to heal you because you were careless. And now I’m here touching your hairy disgusting body.” He then puked in his mouth again as he finished healing the large cut to perfection. Wes then stood turned away and ran out of the room at full speed. Wes ran all the way to the sink that was in the room he was assigned to. After fully vomiting into the drainage hole. His thoughts finally cleared and all he could think about now was the meeting. @Affili

Niclaus had stopped at the kitchen and grabbed a platter of sandwiches. While walking, he had somehow come up on the Meeting room. He heard some talking and thought it would be a great idea to pop in. To his disbelief the scout, gambler, and shadow graduates were talking. “Well if it isn’t the most silent of the factions being all chatty up in here? What’s the convo about? Oh yeah and I brought food fa ya hungry bastard stomachs.” He smiled setting the platter down on the table. @DergTheDergon @babyjoker36610 @FrontLine

During Felix's episode, one of the other sailors had appeared on the scene in response to the commotion.

“What the hell's going on?” He asked the sailor shaking Felix.

“I don't know man, he's gone. I accidentally broke his flute when i knocked it from his hands because he was in the process of slicing his wrist with it and that set him off. Go get the Captain quickly”

“Right” the sailor was already running towards Darious room.

It was all Darious could do not to tell Wes to touch him with those shaky hands of his. The healer hadn't been at the forest so he had no idea what had happened out there. It was a relief that this healer had no use for sutures because the way he was shaking, there would be no telling how the scar would look. And the wound might have ended up worse than it ever was.

He was taken a back at the spite in Wes' voice as he had answered the question about healing Konsido. It was his profession after all and one would think, he would be more than happy to pass such valuable knowledge on to a new generation of hunters. Unless of course Wes had never truly been in the field on any kind of a mission so therefore he would not know how valuable such a skill could be out there. The pirate captain didn't know him well enough to ask and after Wes' display, Darious was not keen on learning from him anyway. He supposed he would have to seek the knowledge elsewhere.

The speed at which Wes exited proved a bit humorous to the Captain and despite himself Darious yelled to the back of Wes' head as he ran running his hands over his healed chest

“If I knew any kind of healing Konsido, perhaps you might not have had to touch me at all just now you idiot. AND I'M NOT THAT HAIRY!!”

He yanked the Decanter to his lips and took a long pull as a sailor appeared at his door.

“Captain there's a situation out in one of the halls. One of the Knights is freaking out and cutting himself”

“A knight… ?What the hell? OK OK, take me to him” he replied throwing a robe over himself then knotting it at it at the waist. He left the towel on the floor and ran out of the cabin only to wheel back around and take one final pull from his rum before proceeding to Felix’s location.

“Move away from him” Darious ordered firmly, not wishing to see one of his sailors die this night. At least, not from some unstable time bomb in any case. The seventh knight was one of the strongest on the ship right now and seeing how unstable he was at the moment, Darious' first instinct was to step into the line of fire and try to calm the teenager down.

“Pull yourself together Felix.” he spoke sternly yet quietly, moving between Felix and the Sailor then proceeded to slap the hysterical teen across the face in an attempt to bring him to his senses. At that moment he didn't see a deadly Knight. At that moment he just saw a troubled teenager. The thought briefly crossed his mind to remind Felix of how deadly and mature he must be given his position but he refrained from raising that point. Perhaps that was part of Felix's problem. So much responsibility must weigh heavily on such a young soul.

“Sorry about your instrument. It'll never be the same as that one, but I'm sure I have a seen a few flutes and other instruments within the ship's cache. He added gently then continued after a pause.

“They were Possibly uhh acquired by my late faction mate amidst her many journeys. Maybe we could go pick one out together? Either that, or we can go get wasted on some fine exotic rums and liquors that are also within the ship's cache. Some of them are from the far east, some of them are from the Caribbean.” he finished with a smile.

Sora was in his room preparing for the meeting, he had taken off his armor and put on a new set of black underarmor. He decided he didn't need to take any weapons with him at present and was about to leave when his koumpi called for him. "It seems it would be best to tell you this now while you have a moment." The Raikouryuu said. Sora took a seat on the edge of his bed and listened then found himself suddenly seeing others all showing lightning powers.

"These are others of the Kaminari clan, like some other clans the Kaminari are spread throughout different factions. You friend the Asura Demon one of his clan he faced in his last battle, so you can expect to possibly encounter one of your own clan here as well. Though relations among the clan have remained more or less good natured the divisions between factions have also created a division within our clan. The main branch members if you haven't noticed are all of the Ninja faction, guess this was to somewhat follow your ancestor by the name of Kaminari." Raikouryuu explained. Sora thought about then replied. "Maybe with a mixed faction team like our own maybe we can work towards the goal of unifying the factions a lot more despite the different ideologies and ways of fighting, we all have one goal which is to protect humanity." The Raikouryuu chuckled as if he half expected such an answer.

"Indeed." it said with it's deep dragon voice. "But another thing I need to show you is what kind of power you'd wield in your awakening. Unlike the others your awakening was affected bhe your meds so you never used your true awakening. Even if you did I would show you this anyway because what he does at the end in vary important. Now watch one of your own awaken!"

Sora found himself gazing upon a battle on a bright green plain. He was sitting on the head of the Raikoiryuu and looked down at himself noticing how ghostly he appeared. He looked down to see a man with bright yellow hair who was wrapped in electricity. He looked like he was of the Gambler faction by his clothing which was similar to Kimirou. He watched as the individual faced another but this guy was obviously off the shadows based on him black clothing and the fact he seemed to be half inside a shadow with his top half sitcking out. All of a sudden the yellow haired man's soul essence sky rocketed and he became slightly more muscular compared to his already muscular physique. He then extended his hand and suddenly the air became very charged. He moved like lightning and then there was suddenly an a large explosion. When the light faded and the dust settled he was standing there looking exhausted over the unconscious and severely injured body of another hunter. The sky was thunderstorming, something Sora hadn't noticed before and then the guy reached his hand into the air. A thunderbolt came dowm and touched his fingers tips, it looked like the man was absorbing electricity. After that he seemed not so likely to keel over. The vision then ended.

"You probably missed what he did with his attack but you definitely saw him replenish himself some what with the natural element of lightning. Remember that when you use your awakening. " the Raikouryuu warned.

Sora snapped back into reality at that moment, he looked around then got up from his seat on the side of the bed in his room. He proceeded to head toward the Meeting Room. Shortly before arrival he used Fruee Concealment to hide himself and slipped into the room right nehind amazingly Kimirou

Anuli’s head fell to the ground so he would avoid making eye contact with her. To be honest, he wanted to forgive her because who was he to get angry with her over something she had no control over? These thoughts ran through his head as he thought back to the countless missions they’ve gone on, the many opportunities she had to tell them, the unanswered questions. So many of them, with no one, to even attempt to answer them. He then heard Nicky began to address him with an explanation as to why she did what she did. For some reason, Anuli just wasn’t buying her words. It took everything in his power to not walk off from her, but she beat him to it by walking away from him. Like she always did in the past. It seemed as though their tension spilled out into the room because some of the other sailors stood around watching them as if they were waiting to see what was going to happen next. Anuli looked up at them and they moved on, continuing what they were doing.

Hearing the clicks of Nicky’s shoes start to slowly fade away, he sighed, “Wait…” He turned around to face her, “If you’re going to have a list and stuff I might as well see what’s on it,” He slightly conceded trying to catch up to her. If she was going to make an attempt to explain he might as well hear her out. Besides at the end of the day she was his teammate. Anuli is sometimes cold because of his own demons he has to deal with. Many people have come and gone over the years and he’s just grown numb to it all. So instead of telling the person how he feels, he pushes them away. Doing this time after time has caused him to develop bad habits like that of smoking. He channels his pain through that in order to find some level of peace. Maybe listening to Nicky will help him explore new avenues to better help himself. @Newtype @babyjoker36610 @OwlOne

Nicky just kept walking, not looking back at Anuli or sparing a glance for the sailors that stopped to see what the commotion was about. Nicky told herself that if he didn;t follow that was fine, but she felt deep down that he owed him this explanation, whether he"needed to know" or not, and regardless if he wanted to hear it in the first place. She found herself feeling relieved, but also more anxious, as he sighed and spoke up. She stopped in her tracks, turned to face them, and nodded at his roundabout way of saying "okay fine I'll do what you want." Or at least, that's what she decided to think he meant. "Alright then... first thing we need is to take inventory of the cargo hold, make sure everything's where it needs to be." That wasn't truly the first thing on the list, but it was the most likely place to have a private conversation, not cause a scene for other people.

As they arrived in the storeroom, Nicky started on thee task while thinking of where to begin. After a short while, she took a deep breath, then spoke, not looking towards Anuli to make it easier to say what wanted to say. "Guess I should start with why I was demoted.... it was supposed to be a simple job, protect an informant who knew sensitive secrets we needed... I smelled a trap, but Ilari- dammit, wrong name. The Souleater," she sighed and spoke up again, "The Soulstealer was sure the possible gains were worth the risk. Turned out he was wrong, or he just didn't didn't care.It was an ambush, I-I can't remember much else.... whoever attacked us were powerful, though... and then, I remember being drained, wounded, and near death. The Soulstealer looked down at me, this smug grin on his face. 'I thought you were better than this, Nicole.Your powers are drained, but I'm fine. Let me lend you some of mine.' I-I... don't remember what he did, but... I know he changed my powers somehow. I used to control light, but now it's.. well, you saw. I can't feel my Koumpi anymore... it's like it abandoned me because I turned from the light... A-anyway,next thing i knew I was in a hospital bed and the Soulstealer was there, disappointed-looking harbingers all around him. I was told I was demoted, but not why. I didn't have the right to know, they said... I didn't have the right to know why I no longer belonged in the position I worked to hard to get, or why I was the only one being punished, or even why the Hiringu that revived me was scowling at me like I'm some kind of sick, disgusting monster!" Realizing she was shouting hysterically now, she took a few deep breaths. She was shaking from having to recall all this. She sighed deeply, looking down. "I think... I may've went haywire, I had no clue how to control electricity back then... whatever it was, for some reason the Omada didn't want anything to do with me anymore...." She sighed once again, rubbing her forehead with one hand, looking even further down, facing the wall. "That's really all I know... the blood seal won't let me say any more... I-I'm sorry, that's probably just leaving you with more goddamn questions, so welcome to the club... I just... I'm sick and tired of keeping secrets, but I don't have a choice..." Clenching her fists, she tired to clam herself but couldn't. "I don't have a goddamn choice!" She screamed, hitting the wall with a balled up fists. Calming down just enough not to yell, she spoke up in a defeated, quiet voice Anuli has most likely never heard from her before. "I wish I tell you more... I wish I could do anything but wish I could tell the whole truth to anyone at all, or even know it myself..." She grew silent, shaking with frustration, tears welling in her eyes as she desperately tried to calm down.

Vienna was slightly surprised at Kehinde's sudden smile.. what was there to smile about? His unexpected compliment on her awareness caused her to look away a bit bashfully. "Oh? Umm, thanks, I.. suppose." Taking a deep breath to center herself, she seemed to regain her composure in the blink of an eye, but in truth it was simply a convincing act she's worked on over the years, to avoid being seen as weak or incapable. She'd never been one to receive compliments gracefully, and if that weren't enough Kehinde behavior was unexpected, to say the least. It was a nice change of pace from others being put off by her demeanor most of the time, but she supposed it would take some getting used to. Vienna remained silent as Niclaus entered the room, looking to him to confusion and anticipation. As he asked in his usual, slightly overbearing way what they were talking about, Vienna didn't know how to answer. She found herself looking back to kehinde with a confused, questioning look at his odd question towards Niclaus, before looking to the eighth himself with a similar expression. She didn't seem to notice anything off about Niclaus, but she swore she felt a strange fluctuation in Kehinde soul essence just then. Regardless, she stayed silent and observed to see what would unfold. She still was very anxious to get the meeting underway as well, and couldn't help but wonder why Darious would apparently be the last to arrive to a meeting on his own ship. She couldn't shake the feeling that this situation didn't bode well at all.

Feeling the comforting arms of the sailor surprisingly calmed him down. It seemed as if that was all he needed to return to a sane state. Sometimes even the strongest warrior has their breaking point. As he laid in the arms of the sailor, more and more crew members began to crowd around to see what all the commotion was. Heartbreak began to turn to anger as Felix thought back to what Nereus said. "How dare he speak of my brother like that." he thought to himself clenching his fist to where his knuckles turned white. Seeing this the sailor grabbed his fist and brought it to her own relieving him of the burden.

As he was about to just let loose and calm down, he felt a strange yet familiar vibration register coming toward him. He was never good at sensing soul essence. So he made up for that With his mastery in vibration feeling. Before he knew it, he felt a sharp pain happen across his face. He brought his right hand up and rubbed on the area looking to where it came from. Once his eyes fell upon the figure that stood over him he nearly turned sheet white, "b....b...bloodbeard." He mumbled, slowly moving himself from the disadvantage. The sailor that was holding him looked to Darious with a confused look then looked back to Felix, "Bloodbeard? What are you talking about he's been locked up for over 25 years." The sailor spoke. Felix's soul essence began to trickle down the the base of his feet. Doing this allowed him to connect with the vibrations around him and feel as if they were an extension of his being. His painful eyes turned to a focused and ready Look. Felix then felt a shimmer within the water and acted upon it. He twitched his right index finger and caused the shimmer to grow to a mid strength wave. The wave crashed into the ship lightly tilting it to the left. As everyone gathered themselves from the shift, Felix was now on his feet and ready to strike, "You so much as move, I'll give you the death penalty right here. Clever move, disguising yourself among the graduates. Thought we would never suspect it.” @Newtype

With that he was out in the hall, speeding back to where he left Felix, and pulling his phone out of his pocket. He quickly dialed Betty. *Ring Ring Ring* “This is Betty…” She answered. “Meltdown red alert bitch. Meltdown red alert. This is not a drill bitch, this is not a drill!” With that he hung up in Betty’s face knowing she would know what to do next as well as what he would have to do. Niclaus made his way to the hall but it was too congested with sailors to get through. He finally calmed himself just enough not to kill every last embesil in his way. Wes noticed Nereus making his way through the crowd and took two finger and placed them in his mouth, “Fweeeeep!” his whistle sounded, “Make way damnit the eighth is coming through.” “Well wasn’t that sexy?” Niclaus smiled and then strutted his stuff down the hall. Niclaus smiled and wink at nearly every sailor he passed, as long as they were males.

Niclaus finally made his way to the scene. He greeted Wes upon his arrival. “Thanks Hotpants.” Niclaus called Wes this for two reasons. If Wes saw this as a man on man hotpants thing, then he would instantly puke. Niclaus loved seeing this happen over and over again. Niclaus also called Wes this due to his addiction to wanting attention from women. Niclaus however hoped that he would do the first one each and every time. Wes shivered and threw up in his mouth a little before regaining his focus. Niclaus chuckled a bit when this happened. He looked at Nereus shaking his head and then again to speak, “Something doesn’t seem right. Felix only gets that look when he is ready to handle business.” Niclaus regained his composer after Wes amused him a bit. In a serious voice, Niclaus asked, “Did he say anything to you? And why is he trying to fight Dawson?” Wes replied, “He said Bloodbeard don’t know why or where it came from, but he was dead ass serious. I’d hop in and help but I don’t know what's going on.” When Wes stated Bloodbeard, Niclaus quickly looked over to Darious. *Sch* His fingers sounded, “That’s who he reminds me of.” He then snapped again and uttered the words. “Felix Blackout!” With that Felix fell to the floor like a vegetable. Niclaus walked past Darious and picked Felix up. As he did he turned to Darious and with an embarrassed smile upon his face mouthed the word, “Sorry” and with that the two of them were gone. @Affili

Darious' stare was as icy as the Seventh Knight's once he had regained his composure. The sudden wave had shifted his balance slightly, but it was nothing the seasoned captain was not used to. In the blink of an eye though, Felix had gone from erratic and fragile, to deadly, calm and focused. Darious could sense the killing intent radiating from the Seventh Knight. It was a clear demonstration of the capabilities of someone holding such a pristine position. He knew he was no match for the troubled teen so he remained calm, and still; eyes assertive as he watched Felix's every move complying with his threat of death and making no other moves.

"Blood Beard you say? There's no Blood Beard here friend, only me, Darious, why don't you calm down. No one's in disguise here. Do you honestly think the real Blood Beard would have got by undetected given the fact that The Eighth Knight, you and the messengers are all present on this ship Felix?"

His voice was quiet, slick with a soothing tone. Darious was well aware of Felix's unstable condition at this time.

One of his sailors moved to restrain Felix as the captain spoke, but a slight wave of his hand stopped the Sailor in their tracks. He really had no desire to watch his crew get slaughtered.

In a matter of moments Niclaus and Wes had arrived yet the Captain was too busy not getting killed that he did not even have the time to acknowledge the two.

He sighed in relief once Felix fell to the floor unconscious but his anger was evident in his face and body language. Sorry just wouldn't cut it.

As Niclaus and Wes moved away with Felix, Darious called to them, anger getting the better of him. "Hey, I want him locked up and restrained you understand? I'll man the bridge myself. I don't need such an unstable person gallivanting about on my ship and endangering my crew, especially while we are at sea! If you don't want to restrain him, make sure you keep him under your personal supervision. And as for you Wes, stop roughing up my sailors or I will personally but a bullet between your eyes you understand?"

Without another word, Darious stalked down the hall to the meeting, not even bothering to change out of his robes. Such disorder was unprecedented amidst his ship. Normally, Darious ran a very tight ship. It was one of the reasons why is crew respected him so well and also why he hadn't been killed yet. All of this was nonsense he did not need at the moment.

He plowed through the meeting room doors and went straight for the table that had the booze on it. No one there had any idea how close he had come to death just then. It was enough to piss anyone off really, and the fact that he would be mistaken for Blood Beard, one of the most notorious pirates in history added insult to injury.

"I don't even have a damn beard!!" he yelled out loud to no one in particular, as he downed a large glass of rum in a single chug before finding a seat.

Kimriou smiled as Kehinde expressed his being tired and hungry. Kehinde then explained that he and Vienna were just discussing the same questions he had just asked. He then studied Vienna when Kehinde pointed out that Vienna looked as though she had something on her mind. Vienna made her response and kind of brushed off the question but still seemed as though she was thinking hard about something. Yet right before he could responded the Eighth Knight walked in baring gifts for the stomach. Kimirou eyed the plate inspecting it as soon as he first spotted it. “Okay that’s turkey. Disgusting. And that’s chicken. Dang it’s got mayonnaise on it. Nasty. OK there is a roast beef. Damn it’s on sour dough. It there anything here I can eat?” He thought to himself. Kimirou’s koumpi once again found the perfect time to chime in. “Such a picky boy. All I can say is that if you don’t eat your soul essence will never regenerate. If it doesn’t your entire team will die. Either by you dying during the Kunina or by losing the Kunina and the council killing your. One or the two. Your choice.” Without replying, Kimirou grabbed a roast beef sandwich off of the plate and quickly took a bite. “I never thought it would taste this good. I guess the roast beef but enhance the taste of the bread.” His koumpi responded. “Or maybe it is the mustard. Mustard has always been a favorite of our family. You know it has its own recipe for mustard. I called it Dijon.” Kimirou giggle loudly and responded in thought. “We invented Dijon mustard. You are totally lying.” “I am but you fell for it didn’t you.” Kimirou would of responded if it wasn’t for the light coming through the door flickering. Kimirou swore for a second he saw Sora walking into the room. “What the hell?”

Before he could even ask to himself if he really saw Sora or not, his Koumpi interjected. “Eyes Kimirou. Your eyes flickered and for a split second you saw him. He is in true concealment.” Then Kehinde confirmed it by inviting the newcomer to the table. Without looking in that direction, Kimirou continued with Kehinde’s response. “Yes Sora, why don’t you drop your trickery and join us.” He then looked over to Vienna and noticed she was looking around as well. “I guess we are the three sensory members of our team. I think she senses him too. Great actually. This will increase our chances if we can strengthen that aspect.” Kimirou then felt a very strange fluctuation of soul essences. “Did you guys just feel that?" By the time he looked to the Eighth, Niclaus was already running out of the room. “I guess he felt it guys.” He giggled. Kimriou then looked over to Vienna as he grabbed another roast beef sandwich off of the platter. “So you don’t like Poinsetta Mist do you? Did I spray too much?” He asked while also confirming Kehinde’s suspicions about the fragrance. Just as he was about to continue Darious walked in. He looked furious about something. Kimirou would have yelled something however Darious answered for him. “What crawled up your butt and died?” He asked and then added. “Do you ever have an ample amount of clothing on?” After this he thought back to the clashing of soul essence he felt only a few moments ago. “I wonder if he was one of the soul essences I felt a little while ago?” His koumpi interjected. “Are you really asking that?” Kimirou smiled. “Your not the only one that can pull someone’s leg.” His koumpi responded in a completely serious tone. “But I don’t have legs.” Kimirou rolled his eyes.

Walking to the storeroom was a bit of a task for Anuli because he still had a bit of anguish residing with him. He was trying to play out different scenarios within his head so he wouldn’t be caught off guard if she threw a curveball at him. “Nice one Noodle.” He thought to himself. Finally arriving at the storeroom, Anuli quickly went to work doing as was told. He made sure everything was in place, there were no issues that would prohibit the ship from doing anything, and even glanced at some of the cargo. Which made him shake his head because of the amount of stuff they accumulated. Anuli was always made fun of his slight neat freak disorder. He always wanted to make sure everything was just right and no mistakes. Even his cigarettes have to be a certain way no exceptions.

Anuli was stopped in his tracks when Nicky spoke up. She went into great detail about everything, from the time she was demoted to how it happened. His eyes seemingly grew as each word left her mouth. One thing that puzzled him was the fact she mentioned the process of how things went down. The years Anuli has been with the council, which was not many, he seen some questionable things, but this one took the cake. After she finished her spiel, Anuli slowly walked over to her. He placed his hand on her shoulder letting her know it was alright. She didn’t need to be upset anymore, but they needed answers, “Nicky, it’s amazing you held all this in for so long. I never knew you had to endure so much just to be thrown to the wolves after one “supposed” screw up.” He commented. “Well, you are my comrade and yes it will take some time but I’m willing to help you heal.” He smiled genuinely. The smile then faded away into a puzzled look, “So question...why aren’t you able to continue on. It’s like you drew a blank all of a sudden?” He questioned oddly scanning her face and neck area. @Newtype

Sora didn't appear solely being more comfortable in his current state which was pushing the abilities of the others. In all reality he was helping them so they should be thanking the fact he was awesome enough to help them improve their sensory abilities. Sora would only exit True Concealment once this meeting actually got under way. It seemed some sort of commotion had taken place within the ship. The Raikouryuu then chimed in "Quite the commotion they like to make it seems." Sora responded " We're like that giant horned thing, a Nar Whaal or something. We're sailing on the ocean making a commotion." The Raikouryuu made a noise that sounded like a groan. "You're something else....." It said.

Sora walked around the room not producing any sound with his movements. He considered skipping the meeting and just pretending like he went. Sora considered saying something but then remembered they can't hear him at the moment. "You know strange things stir within this group that is around you and the other graduates. I'd recommend you stay on your toes and keep your ears open. I can only do so much to help you, if you don't help yourself."

Nicky stood there, shaking, eyes closed trying to stop the tears, as she dreaded Anuli's reaction. She was expecting more anger, another demand for the answers she couldn't give. There's no way he'd believe her after all this... but as Anuli's hand came to rest upon her shoulder, followed by calm, consoling words, Nicky was the one in disbelief. She slowly turned to him with a baffled look on her face, to be met with a genuine smile, causing her look of confusion to gradually fade, replaced with a slight, grateful smile. "...Thanks. That really does mean a lot, coming from you." She kind of felt stupid for not letting him know sooner, but the Omada have a lot of ways to discourage the spilling of thier secrets. Anuli seemed to have noticed perhaps the most sure fire method they use as he spoke up again and asked his astute question. She nodded gravely, rubbing her temples and finally starting to compose herself. "..Had a feeling you'd notice that. Every time I try to recall certain memories it's like I hit a brick wall. They did... something that made me forget those. Don't know how, don't know why. Council must've decided only the Soulstealer and those above him are entitled to know." Nicky shook her head, looking down. "Sometimes I wonder if the rest of council is even on humankind's side anymore... guess that's why I'm here with ones who want to shake things up." Looking back up to Anuli, Nicky had finally calmed down. "Anyhow, let's just move on and get this stuff done. Thank you Anuli. For listening, and.. everything." @FrontLine

Vienna didn't feel very hungry with everything that's been going on, so for a while she simply observed the others passively and never touched the food. "Honestly, young one. If you do not eat, you most likely won't have the energy to sit through the meeting. Your awakening has drained you more than you are consciously aware. Just try one bite of something, at least." Sighing, Vienna took one of the sandwiches, took a bite... then suddenly her body seemed to remember how starving it was, causing her to nearly scarf it down without tasting it very much at all. Blinking in surprise a few times and politely wiping the mayonnaise off the corner of her mouth, she glanced at the others in hopes they didn't notice her sudden, slightly embarassing change in demeanor. "Understand now? Your body is not used to awakening yet. You must take extra care of yourself until you can better call upon my power." "Yes, I comprehend..." she thought. Vienna did recognize Sora's soul essence as well, and did think it was odd he opted to conceal himself outside of battle, though understood he must have his reasons and respected that. She paid his presence little mind from then on, it wasn't her place to pry. Kimirou then spoke up, and Vienna found herself averting her eyes bashfully for a second, before respectfully looking back towards him and speaking quietly in her usual reserved, even manner. "Oh, it's nothing that, I apologize if my reaction gave that impression. I... simply have a sensitive nose. It doesn't bother me, just caught me off guard." Averting her eyes about the room, looking to no one in particular, Vienna simply continued waiting. The eighth's abrupt disappearance and the odd soul essence fluctuations unnerved her slightly, but if they were in danger it would feel very different. She's encountered enough Hirudo to know that... either way, it was best they stay here so that this meeting can actually get underway as soon as possible.

After hanging up with Felix, the now furious Margie strolled along the hallway noticing everyone in emergency mode. She stepped in a room for a second to change her clothes. Opening the door, she stepped out wearing her Knights attire. This attire of hers consisted of, a half cut shirt, fitted black navy blue pants with knee caps on them, steel-toed boots, and a knight's robe to accompany the outfit. On her right index finger, she wore her knight's ring. She pinned her hair up so it wouldn’t get in the way in case she had to battle. She closed the door behind her and made her way down the hall. She kept herself alert to keep down any surprises. Falling in behind her was a squad of four guards, “We have been sent to assist you, ma’am.” A guard informed her. She stopped and turned around to look at him, “I’m fine I don’t need help,” She replied. To be honest, she didn’t want any help from any of them because of what she had to endure here. She really didn’t even want to help the prison out, but since it was a level S emergency she really didn’t have a choice. “Ma’am it's protocol.” the guard returned. Sighing she conceded, “Fine. If you must, but don’t get in my way understood?” The guards agreed and went along with Margie.

Searching around in Destirdere was like looking around in a maze. They did this so escapees wouldn’t be able to find their way out. They also didn’t give the guards direction because of the possibility of a leak. Coming to a four path hallway she spoke, “Alright split up,” She then began to put out orders, “You guys take the hallway to the left,” She pointed to the first and second guards, “You two take the right hallway,” She pointed to the third and fourth, “And I’ll keep on forward.” She finished. “Well don’t…” She interrupted, “I’ll be fine don’t worry about me. Now go we need to find him fast.” She insisted. Following that order, they dashed off in their respective direction. Margie stood there and rolled her eyes then casually continued down the hall she chose. As she walked down the hall she caught a whiff of a sweet-smelling pipe tobacco. With each step, the smell grew stronger and stronger. “They allow smoking in here?” She mumbled as she casually strolled. *Press Play*They actually don’t I just had a spare on me,” A familiar yet not so familiar voice spoke. Margie on instinct went to put her hand on her weapon, but realized they never gave it back to her, “Damn it!” She thought to herself. “No weapon Margaret? That’s compromising.” The voice casually chuckled. Margie was frozen from disgust at the fact they didn’t give her weapon back. Was she afraid all of a sudden? “Come now Margaret have a seat.

Margie slowly approached the cell from which the smell was coming from. It was dark so visibility was a little low. She looked through the rails to see who it was. Her eyes widened a little when she saw that it was Darious. Could this be a trick of some sort? Was she just seeing things? These thoughts ran through her head as she came to the entrance of the cell. The figure pushed a chair over to her with his foot, “You can sit down. I’m sure you’ve had a long day.” Margie tilted her head a little because it sounded like Darious, but not quite, “Darious what are you doing here? You should be with the others and when did you start smoking?” The figure took another swig of the pipe, “Does Darious ever call you by your name? And if he smokes I’ll kill him” The figure chuckled and shifted in the seat, “Little Margaret, all grown up, what has it been like seventeen years?” Margie still not getting it replied, “Well you just did. So answer me why…” The figure interrupted, “I’m not Darious damn it! Ahem, I mean...I’m not Darious damn it.” He whispered. “But since we’re on that subject, how is my grandson.” He lit the lighter.

It took a moment to register, but when she realized who it was she lost the coloring within her face. She was actually face to face with Bloodbeard himself. No one has ever gotten this close to him and now she was in the lion’s den. Another thing that was getting to her was the fact that he looked a lot younger than she remembered. If he shaved the beard, he’d look just like Darious and it was mind blowing. “Give up Cornelious. You won’t get out of here alive.” The old pirate laughed, “But really have you forgotten how I’ve landed myself here? These walls can’t contain someone of my caliber and now that I’ve regained my youth I should have to much of an issue.” That last sentence struck a nerve within her. Her suspicions were confirmed, but she had no proof. She balled her fist just thinking about the deed he did and all the lives that he potentially put at risk. “Regained youth?” She questioned. “Oh he didn’t tell you? What a shame here I am thinking you two were in this together. The knights these days lack backbone. The fifth Knight before you wouldn’t have stood for this. Again, we seem to be getting away from the task at hand, How is Darious?” Margie quickly returned, “He’s none of your concern.” Sighing the figure stood to his feet, “You’re right.” He put out the pipe walking toward Margie, “I’ll ask him myself. Have a nice night Margaret it’s always good to see an old face.” Before Margie knew it he was advancing toward her. She quickly got out of the chair and kicked it toward him to block his path. She went to leave but one of the guard from before blocked the entrance. She went to push him, but he was hard as a brick. Margie went to kick him but it didn’t budge. At that moment, Bloodbeard was upon her. She turned to him breathless as if he took her breath away. No chance to scream, no chance to run, no chance to do anything. Bloodbeard was back.

Niclaus carried Felix into his own living quarters on the ship. After laying Felix softly on the bed we walked a few feet away and put his head into his hand. He turned around to face Felix. Still with his hand on his head and his head still leaned to the side in a stressed out manner, he quietly whispered to himself. “Isi what am I going to do with your darling little brother. I want to keep your wish but with all that is going on he won’t even listen to me. He blames me for you leaving us. Why did you tell him?” Sometimes when it came to Felix, Niclaus spoke to himself in this manner. He still loved Isi and Isi still held his heart. Niclaus knew he would never get an answer when he did this, but he held hope that someone would give him advice on situations like this. Cracking his eyes open, Felix looked up to see Niclaus standing at the end of the bed. He overheard Niclaus speaking about his brother, but instead of getting angry, he spoke, “Although you know my brother, you don’t have the right to speak of him around me. I will never accept you as one of us nor will he. Understand this Niclaus, I’m not doing this because I have to I’m doing this because we work together and that is all.

After that Felix swung his feet around, hit the floor, and proceeded out into the hallway, “Be sure to lock my door.” He finished. Before Felix could make it good enough passed Niclaus, Niclaus grabbed his arm. “We need to talk.” He tightened his grip to show he wasn’t playing. He then thrusted his arm that was holding Felix’s, throwing Felix back to the bed like he was a light weight ragdoll. “You are going to listen…. You know I didn’t want to be one of you. Your brother didn’t try to make me either. He love me for me.” Felix held out his hand and pushed Niclaus back with a vibration. He stood up and smiled, “You don’t have to tell me what I already know." Niclaus interrupted him after that. “I’m going to let that slide but I will turn you into a ragdoll and force you to listen if I have too. I don’t want to out of respect of Isi’s last wishes.” Felix casually walked passed him, “Then don’t.” He continued toward the door, “When I’m ready we will talk. Until then keep your distance I don’t wish to associate with you.” He finished changing his demeanor. For the first time, he was thinking clearly and not out of haste. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to hear Niclaus out, it's just he wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. He knew Niclaus was a person that didn’t understand that so he suggested distance until he was ready. Felix has his moments sometimes. Being a teen meant all of these things. Experiencing tragedy at such a young age was a lot for the seventeen-year-old, so he just wanted to be to himself for awhile. He paused in the hallway for a second, looked back, then continued down the hallway. After Felix left and was no longer in sight, a single tear ran from Niclaus’ right eye. He reached into his left back pocket and pulled out a few folded paper. Niclaus unfolded the papers and viewed them for a second. He softly let out a single chuckle. “I love you Isi.” Niclaus then placed the papers back where he got them. He then walked into the hall and looked both ways down the hall. With no sight of Felix, Niclaus began to walk to his left down the hall in the direction to go to the meeting room.

Wes strolled back toward the meeting room himself after such a strange event. He was taken aback because he actually missed the fact that Darious had a resemblance in soul essence with Bloodbeard. His thoughts were interrupted, when he felt his pocket buzz. He stopped and reached into his pocket to see who it was, “Paige?” He questioned picking up the phone. “This is Wes.” The brittle sounding voice responded, “Wes it’s Margie. Her emergency alarm went off. Rina and I are headed to the location now.” Wes shook his head in disbelief, “Paige, what happened is everything alright?” With a sigh Paige responded. “Margie, as you know, has been detained at the Destirdere. Well, Thomas brought Rina and I with him when he came to release her.” She paused a second as Rina began to chew her out for taking too long to explain. “Long story short. Thomas is nowhere to be found, the prison is on lockdown, and now Margie’s emergency alarm just went off. We are heading to the location of the alarm, but we are going to need help. Have you guys touched base yet?” Wes walked as he listened to the explanation of his comrade on speaker phone. As he walked, he forgot he was on speaker phone and walked right into the meeting room, “Not yet. We still…..” He looked up to see the graduates sitting down, Paige recognized the silence and said it before Wes even could. “You just walked into where they are didn’t you? Typical Wes. You have got to stop doing that.” Wes turned his face up at the phone, “Look at the pot calling the kettle black. Ms. I repeat everything I say.” He hung up ending the phone convo.

Following behind him came Felix. He pushed passed Wes then stopped, “Oh sorry about that door being in your way. If you want to block the entrance do it when I’m not coming thru.” He walked over to the podium. A few moments later, Niclaus walked in completely silent and averting his vision purposely from the direction of Felix. If Felix didn’t want to talk about what needed to, then he wouldn’t communicate with him at all, not even eye contact. Niclaus walked over to the a seat next to Vienna and sat down facing her direction, but his head facing the back of the room. Niclaus placed his head into the palm of his hand as if he was tired. Wes decided to bite his tongue because he didn’t want to lose his position. So he took a seat as well. “We might as well get this meeting underway,” Felix opened up. “I’m aware of your fatigue and I’m sure with the hard work blah blah blah...you need rest. So we will make it quick.” He then casually walked over to the table, grabbed a seat, and sat down. Niclaus scoffed as Felix took his seat and moved his chair back a few feet. He didn’t want to make it obvious, but Felix asked for distance and that is exactly what Niclaus planned to give him. Felix was never good at explanations so the next best thing he knew to do was lay it out hard, “So Bloodbeard escaped….” Niclaus angrily interjected. “Get on with the damn question so I can go back to my room.” Felix jeered, “Well I think you're the only one who wishe….” ”We need your help on getting him back in his cell.” Niclaus then turned back around, stood, and walked past Felix. “Since Felix can’t handle it on his own.

With that, NIclaus slammed the door behind him and was gone. “Ahh who cares.” He remarked. “Anyway, you are very much still in the Kunina. That is your first priority at this time. As of late, about 20 teams have been eliminated. So keep that mind. You need to get as much rest as possible so you can be ready to hop back into this thing. Leave Bloodbeared to us. That’s why I’m accompanying you on this voyage.” Wes then spoke, “Any injuries or what have you, see me before you head off to sleep.” He was going to say something about Margie, but he decided it was best to just keep quiet until they were gone. There was no need to upset the graduates in his opinion. Hopefully, they didn’t hear the conversation. Felix looked over to Darious, “I apologize that you look like someone I was looking for. Doesn’t matter who’s ship this is, you are just a graduate and I out rank you, Far as I’m concerned I’m the ranking official on this ship. On the other hand, this is your ship and I will play by your rules, but remember where the chips fall.” He then stood up, “Any questions ask Wes If not, we are….ummm...sailing...and that was my mistake....so yeah….you guys need to head to bed.” With that, Felix proceeded out of the room. @Newtype

As Niclaus approached the door of his room, he noticed one of the sailors standing next to it with his arms crossed. Niclaus stopped at the door with his hand on the knob, and looking directly at the knob spoke. “I don’t have time.” With that, Niclaus entered his room and slammed the door. Once on the other side, he placed his back against the door and slid down to the floor. He rested his right hand on his knee and then rested his head in the palm of his hand. Niclaus closed his eyes and a picture of Isi flashed, causing them to reopen quickly. A flash of light from under the bed drew Niclaus’ attention. Underneath the bed was a small golden case. “Isi you dog, I forgot about that. I knew you would give me a sign eventually.” For the first time in a few hours, Niclaus actually had a genuine smile on his face.

Watching how Nicky reacted confirmed his suspicion. She then went on to explain how every time she wanted to remember. When she rubbed her temple, Anuli took the opportunity to examine her neck facial area. It would look weird to her, but he didn't care. Then to his surprise, he saw a light scar on her neck. "I knew it.." He thought to himself, looking up to meet her view. Something wasn't right and he knew it. From the information she had given him, he had reason to believe that there was more to the story than they are letting on. "But why go to such lengths as to placing a memory lock on her? Smart bastards whoever done it. I have to pat my boy a visit in Intel to see what's up." Bringing him from his thought was her asking that they drop it. He smiled and obliged, "Sure...sure. Carrying a burden as such has to be taxing." He then looked out the window and noticed the land was drifting away, "Hey, Are we sailing?" He asked. @DergTheDergon

Kehinde lightly dozed off for a brief moment following Darious' entry. His body was slowly starting to shut down and there wasn't anything he could do about it. All the late night training missions with the scouts had finally caught up with him. His sleep was interrupted by Nereus storming out of the room. He opened one eye to see what was going on. His sleepy eye gathered a lot from it short peek, Wes' body movements were a little iffy and uncertain, this told Kehinde that he was bothered and uneasy. Felix's eyes followed Nereus, which told Kehinde something else was going on with them that they aren't seeing. Kehinde then lifted his head and yawned just in time to hear Felix speak.

Following that, the Knight referred them to Wes which didn't matter to Kehinde because he just wanted to go to bed. He then backed out his chair, stood up, and told everyone good night. He patted Wes on the shoulder as he walked by, "It's what isn't seen that give most secrets away. Have something to hide? Then do a better job at not being so obvious." He then continued into the hallway and toward his room. Finally making it, he opened the door, closed it behind him, and plopped down on the bed. "Well, Son you deserve it. Hard work pays off for those who work hard enough. There is no room for lack of drive." His Koumpi chimed in, "Sleep well and rest up. You have a long road ahead." His Koumpi finished up. @OwlOne

"What crawled up my ass is a pile of lunatics and the shenanigans they brought with them aboard this ship" He responded to Kimriou with a slightly inebriated grin plastered across his face. Everyone was tired and irritated at this point so Darious chose to try and lighten the mood a little bit, biting back his urge to snap at his comrade. A few minutes after Darious took his seat, Felix and the others arrived, and with some obvious tension, the meeting began. no sooner had it begun, when it seemed to conclude within a few minutes. the knights all exited the room leaving the graduates and Wes on their own.

He was vaguely aware of Kehinde bidding them goodnight

He had heard the words of Felix when they were spoken, but the majority of the proceeding conversation was a blur to Darious as his mind was suddenly flooded with bitter memories. It was enough to cause several spikes in the Pirate's Soul essence as he fought to maintain his composure. Several gusts of wind erupted within the meeting hall, scattering notes and napkins about the room before he was able to suppress the tendrils of power whipping about the room.

Something stirred within him just then and his eyes flickered from their usual rich emerald color to a sky blue color before he was finally able to regain his composure. He glanced down at his empty cup then his eyes drifted to he hand that was clutching the handle of the metal cup and the line of blood that was now welling up from his closed palm.

Spareing a brief and steely glance at the remaining graduates he raised his hand to silence anyone before they spoke "Sorry about that" was all Darious could manage as he pulled himself to his feet and left the room without another word. He didn't have enough control to explain himself at that moment and of course after that display, there would be a heap of questions to answer.

He hastily retreated to his quarters and got dressed before wrapping a cloth around his hand to stop the bleeding for now, wishing no interaction with their resident healer at this time. He had retained a few things from their little meeting. It seemed Felix had decided to leave the Ship in Darious' control for now so after one final swig of his decanter, he made his way on deck pausing to fill a small flask with some spiced rum for First Mate. It was going to be a long night.

The First Mate was at the helm when the captain arrived, still slightly pale from his episode.

"Captain, you look like shit, are you ok?"

"No, not at all First mate" he answered tossing his head up towards the moon, and the ever spreading crimson haze.

"I can take first watch if you want Captain, you look like you need some rest"

"I couldn't sleep now if I had been awake for a month. Set a course for Destirdere Isles Mr, Teller.

"But Captain that's a whole half a day's sail west from Fountain Canal" the first mate responded.

"We have to make a pit stop there. It seems there has been an incident there and the Seventh Knight Felix needs to aide them. We will leave him there and continue on to Fountain Canal as planned. Luckily our guests have brought enough provisions with them for the added travel time.

Teller's face grew puzzled for a moment then he spoke up " Isn't Destirdere where they have been holding Blood Beard?" his eyes grew wide "Then that means... the Bloods Bane.. the legends are true then!"

"You always were a smart one Teller!" Darious confirmed, patting him on the shoulder and handing him the flask. He looked over his shoulder as he climbed the small rope ladder leading to the roof of the wheelhouse room

"And have you already forgotten why they call me Strider my good first mate? We shall make Destirdere Isles by Dawn!!"

He tapped loudly on the roof of the wheel house "Make sure I am not disturbed for a while would you Mr. Teller?"

"Aye Captain" he responded loudly taking a pull from he flask.

With that, Darious sat cross legged upon the roof and began to stir his soul essence, relentlessly pouring it out to the winds and as awlays, they responded well.

The ship viloently lurched forward as the sails were suddenly filled with a mighty gale. Anyone not sitting down at the moment would have hell to remain on their feet and Darious could not help feeling sorry for those that hadn't gained their sea legs yet. This would be the first real display of the Pirate's capabilities and it would also grant him the time he needed to focus, and calm himself down through his meditations as he sat there lashing the ships sails with blow after blow of concentrated gusts of wind.

First mate Teller, hunkered down as best he could. He had lost many a sailors hat during his time at sea with Darious, better known by his crew and faction as Captain Strider. In actual fact, many a crew mate had lost hats and other articles of clothing due to their captain's vigor.

His mind was calm as he sat their, inhaling and exhaling deeply. Perhaps it was a dangerous state to be in. It was the only time Darious was prone to his Koumpi and its vile nature, But it was equally necessary. Blood Beard was a terrible force to be reckoned with, that's if he was even still on Destirdere Island somewhere.

The Captain would appear calm and collected on the outside, but in this constant state of meditation, he would be locked in a vicious mental struggle to maintain control of his Koumpi, which ever screamed to be free, ever desired to be unleashed.

It did not take long to begin. It never did. The voice resonated within Darious' mind, its voice hoarse and raspy.

"Been A while since you've wandered my prison Boy!"

"It is not a prison! If you had any appreciation for things you would look about and see the trees and fields I have made your home."

"Speak for yourself, you're not the one locked away in here"

"How am I to free you in good measure, if you refuse to speak your name to me?"

a spiteful chuckle echoed across his mind "I've many names child. Would that I could crush this grape of a head between my fingers and free myself"

"Silence! You and I are bound to each other. As it has been for centuries in my bloodline."

The two white orbs that served as his Koumpi's eyes glared angrily "You are weak Darious, the first of the bloodline to restrain my power so. Those before you showed little hesitation in regards to unleashing me."

"I am not them"

"Or are you?"

"Enough! Be gone"

Another sinister chuckle then silence reigned once more.

First mate Teller was far from a hunter himself, but even he knew enough of the history of Darious's bloodline to know their Koumpi's were always difficult to manage. For some reason, the first mate was always aware of the conflicts ensuing within his captain's thoughts while he was in this state. He glanced to the side as he altered their course slightly. the silhouette of land was merely a blur against the moonlight as they sped towards the prison.

Nicky slowly raised her head and realized Anuli was leaning in a bit closer, his head cocked at a weird angle as if he was looking for something. Raising an eyebrow, it took a few seconds for her to realize that he must've seen the scar on her neck. "Oh. That." She replied, looking down bashfully for a second. "That... probably has something to do with... whatever they did to me. Just noticed it in the mirror one day, didn't remember how I got it..." To her relief, and slight surprise she no sooner asked that they drop the subject than he kindly obliged. Smiling slightly, she then nodded at his comment about carrying a burden. "Damn right..." she said quietly, almost in a whisper, finding herself looking away wistfully like she always did when thoughts of her past came up. But thanks to Anuli, it was somehow much easier than before to push them aside as they kept working. At his question, Nicky looked towards him, then the window, confusedly. "We shouldn't be, not yet.... but I'll be damned. We are." That didn't seem to bode well, but hopefully they'd be able to get answers as to the reason for thier sudden early departure. She had a gut feeling that it wasn't a good thing... shaking her head, she then spoke up again. "Whatever. Let's just get this stuff done and ask about it afterwards. The graduates' meeting should be finishing up soon anyway." With that, she went back to the task at hand. @FrontLine

As Niclaus and Felix entered, Vienna found herself looking away, even backing her chair up a bit as the obvious tension between the two Knights permeated the room. Conflicts she knows she can't do anything about have always unnerved her... she's used to heat being on herself, or other shadows, and of course when violence breaks out she's more than content with doing what she's trained to do. But when comrades are fighting and she has no idea what to do, no matter how well she knows them or what she thinks of the conflicting Hunters, she finds herself unnerved. Only after Niclaus stormed out of the room and Felix finally spoke up did she begin to relax. With the relaxation though, came a sudden wave of fatigue that caught her off guard. "This is what I was referring to earlier when I said your Awakening fatigued you more than you are aware... you must rest at your earliest opportunity." Vienna silently acknowledged her Koumpi's advice, seeing no reason to argue, or even to reply in any tangible way. It should be quite clear to all, let alone Vienna's Koumpi, that rest would be the first thing on her mind the second the meeting ended.

For such an important meeting, it was rushed and quite light on details. At the very least, Vienna was assured that at least some of her unanswered questions could be answered by Wes. She made a mental note to see if she could pull him aside later, but for now, the very last sentence Felix had spoken rang truest to her tired ears. She certainly needed to head to bed, if no one else. In a half-asleep haze, Vienna went back to her quarters speaking to no one, not even seeming to notice the others as she passed by. She was barely functioning at this point, the exertion from her awakening finally having taken its full toll. In order to really wind down a bit, Vienna had a small glass of the wine Nicky had gifted her so kindly. It was rather sweet, and felt so relaxing in her current state that she was barely able to get comfortable in bed before passing out.

Alf was outside of the ship, with a smile from ear to ear, commanding the sailors to put things on the ship. A few of the sailors had evoked koumpi, so they used their abilities along with the little help the graduates gave them to move the boxes on the ship. After about an hour, Alf felt a few violent fluctuations of soul essence as if someone was arguing or fighting. Alf thought it was very strange and brushed it off at first. Then he felt different fluctuations of soul essence that were even more violent. Suddenly a few of the sailor that had abilities catapulted themselves onto the ship. Alf’s smile dropped and a curious look formed upon his face. Then he noticed the ship was drifting into the sea. “Damn it Felix.” He expressed loudly. Alf then ran to the shoreline. Noticing quite a distance between himself and the ship, Alf stared at the ship in a, ‘This is going to be a drag’ way. The sailors that made their way onto the ship where mocking and laughing at Alf. His anger grew in his face. Alf lifted his right hand in a paw like formation and whispered the words, ‘Konservi Mui.’ Five snake heads made of blood formed on his fingers. They all hissed simultaneously as if they were one. ‘Tu Mavro Fidi.’ The snake heads shot out with streams of blood still attached to his fingers. The snakes embedded their fangs into the railing of the ship.

Alf then bent down and touched his fingers to the shore. The blood streams attached themselves to the shoreline and combined into one wide stream. Alf place both his feet onto the stream and it glided him onto the ship like an escalator or moving floor. Upon his arrival to the ship, Alf lifted his right foot into the air. At the speed he was traveling, when he arrived he would launch into one of the sailor’s faces. Once this happened, in mid air, Alf turned swinging his foot to hit another sailor, knocking him off the side of the ship. At the same time he reached out his fist knocking the last sailor that catapulted himself onto the ship to the very floor he was standing on. Alf laughed as he landed in a very composed stance with his hands in his pockets. “Next time you won’t laugh at me. Also when your commanding officer is stranded, please do everything in your power to assist him.” Alf then turned away from the two knocked out sailors and began walking away. “Not that I needed it.” Alf then continued about his way. He thought the best thing to do is find Anuli and Nicky. Since they were the ones that are supposed to be preparing the ship for sail. He had a feeling with Anuli being as OCD as he is. They probably would end up in the storage room checking labels for everything to be in its place. Alf made his way to the storage room. Low and behold, Anuli and Nick were there and she looked as though she had been crying. “Did you bring her down here and bore her with your organization speech.” Alf stated to Anuli as he walked over to Nicky to console her. “Don’t worry Nicky, it’s all over. Alf came to rescue you from the big bad teacher prick.” He then turned to a more serious note. “Hey did you guys know we are sailing already? I mean there was no warning or anything. Just a violent soul essence, and there she blows.” Alf then giggled a little at the bad pirate pun he just made.

Kimirou giggled a little at the comment Vienna made. “It’s ok I was just making conversation anyway.” Their conversation was interrupted by Darious’ outburst about the people on the ship. Kimirou wanted to say something about the fact that if he was going to have a problem he shouldn’t have invited all of these people, but didn’t as he knew it would start conflict. Suddenly, Wes came walking in speaking on the phone. Kimirou tried to tune the other voice from the phone out as Wes approached before entering the room, but he couldn’t help but notice a few things that were said. The meeting then finally commence with the entrance of Felix followed by the abrupt entrance of the eighth. The violent fluctuations of both of their soul essences and the violent fluctuations of Darious’ were all clashing. Kimirou tried to tune it out but really couldn’t even ground himself at that point. After Niclaus abruptly interrupted the meeting and stormed out Felix finished. Kimirou rubbed his temples and then stood up. “I can’t take this anymore. You all need to calm down with your soul essences or my head is going to explode.” With that Kimirou walked from the meeting. Kimirou made his way to his room and decided to hit the hay. Finally he could get peace from the day. He atleast had a split second to think that until his koumpi started. “You know you really have to get a hang of that. I went through most of my life being overly sensitive to soul essence.” Kimirou grunted. “I finally get some peace and you don’t know how to shut the hell up?” “Fine, I won’t help you then. Rude.” Kimirou apologetically remarked. “I’m sorry. I’m just super tired and I have a migraine. We just need to get some rest.” With that he went to sleep.

After exiting the room, Felix decided to turn in early so he could rest his mind. With all that took place, he wasn’t sure where he had gotten the energy to keep moving forward. Nereus not once crossed his mind. To be honest, he felt a burden had been temporarily lifted. Finally arriving at his room, Felix washed up, got into his evening attire and passed out on the bed without even grabbing a cover. It was apparent the teenager was running on fumes and now that he had the piece and quiet he so desperately wanted, he was exhausted.Isi look! I made the water shimmer just like you did.” The prepubescent voice announced. Leaning over the male, being blocked out by sunlight, replied, “Well will you look at that. Soon you will be putting out of house and home.” The man softly spoke. “Better believe it, brother! Soon I will earn the title as Chief of the tribe.” He and the older man laughed and carried on. “Now it’s time to show you a new trick, but first you have to finish your homework.” The man declared. “No! I was really starting…” The man interrupted the young lad, “And there will be plenty of time for that. You have to be book smart as well in order to be Chief of the tribe.” He smiled.

Walking up to the conversation between the two were three important people within the tribe. They looked over to the man and the man looked back to them. “We need to talk.” One of them suggested. The man closed his novel and kneeled down to the young boy, “You run on along. When I think you have studied long enough I’ll send for you.” He smiled politely. The young boy nodded, looked at the three elders and ran on along. As he excitedly ran to his tipi, he realized he forgot his bag. He snapped his fingers and scurried back toward the lake they were sitting at. As he got in closer he could hear a few whispers coming from where they were. He slowed his steps and came up behind a bush. He looked around it and saw his brother along with three elders. He tried to read their lips but realized it was no use. So he turned his head toward them and to his luck was able to hear some of the convos.

Isi what do you think the boy will think about your lifestyle. You are not only going to ruin him, but he won’t even know who his brother is.” One of the elders spoke.

Not too mention that his family has nothing to do with him. Where will you take the boy?

I’ll do my best to provide for him as I’ve always done in the past.

Just provide? Provide what Isi? Your lifestyle doesn’t teach that impressionable boy anything about being a man.” One of them shouted.

Look….”

He’s going to stay with his Grandmother. Your father already decided.

W...what?! Why?

Your father believes he needs to be in a stable home for now.

We’ll be by tomorrow to grab his things. I assume you won’t fight this.

You can’t do that. He means the world to me!” He shouted.

If he means anything to you then you’ll understand why this decision will stand.

Please reconsider!

We won’t Isi it’s not up to us. Your father is head of the household so whatever he says stands end of discussion. Prepare your final goodbyes Isi.

The young boy had heard enough. Tears began to stream down his face as he repeated their conversation over and over. The boy waited for the elders to leave. Once they were gone, he darted from behind the bush, tearing his shirt and took off leaving the area. Isi felt the vibration and walked over to see what it was. He then noticed a piece of something hanging on the bush. He reached out and grabbed the piece to examine it. He sighed deeply realizing what it was from. He balled his fist, shook his head, and took off after the young lad. As the boy ran, he kept wiping his eyes of the tears. Not able to see where he was going he tripped on a root.

Felix shot up, soaked in sweat, frantically looking around. It was about early morning and he was feeling all kinds of vibrations around him. He took a moment to collect himself then decided to get up out of the bed to check out what was going on. Subconsciously, the first person he went to was Nereus. He banged on the door frantically, “Bang….bang….bang!” “Nereus…..wake up!” He called. “Bang….bang….bang….bang!” “Wake up damn it!” All that could be heard from the other side of the door was a groggy, “Hold on I’m coming.” Niclaus opened the door slightly and with his eyes still shut replied. “What is it Isi? I can’t believe you are here? What’s going on? Why do you look so angry?” Felix rubbed his eyes with his free hand and yawned, “What the hell is going on with this ship. The knights ship is a much better ride than this.” He yawned once again, “I mean really I felt like I tripped over a root or something….” His sleepy eyes rose to Nereus’ He squinted a little, “Did you just call me Isi?” When Felix mentioned his mistake, Niclaus’ eyes slightly widened. He looked around and realized where he was. Niclaus ran back to his bed and shoved the silver case under his pillow, then turned and sat on the edge of the bed casually. “No, I think you are still sleep. I clearly said, Felix.” Niclaus then rose from the bed and opened the door more for Felix to enter. "Come in I have coffee and breakfast already prepared and sent up. It should be here shortly.” He then realized what Felix was talking about. “Yeah I know what you are saying. The Excalibur is the best ship on the planet. Even if you are in a category 4 hurricane you can't even feel a breeze.” Niclaus giggled. Felix yawned for the third time and proceeded in, “Yup” He replied. The ship then swayed to the left a little. Unknowingly Felix didn’t budge and continued to take a seat at the table. “Might as well get the graduates up.” Felix scratched his after five face, forced his soul essence to his feet, and dispersed it along the floor sending a vibration to each room. To them, it would feel like a very bad joke is being played on them, but it has what Felix considered a wake-up call. @Newtype

Niclaus had just lifted his hand to comment when he felt the surge. “Did you really have to wake them up that way? You could of at least tried not to act like your brother for once.” He commented. “Cooome onnn…” He finally woke up. “They need to train. Have them meet us on the outside so we can go through a few exercises.” Niclaus busted out laughing. He was so distracted with his own thoughts he didn’t even hear what Felix just said. "You know one time. I was sleep so hard, Isi woke me up by vibrating the bed. He vibrated to hard that I thought we were in the middle of an earthquake.” Niclaus continued laughing hard and contagiously. “I was like. ‘OMG, what the hell is going on. Isi take cover.’ Running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Your brother standing there laughing his ass off at me.” A slight grin slid across his face, “Funny guy wasn’t he?” Niclaus’ laughter began to dim. “Yeah, he was. You know, you two have a lot in common.” Niclaus stated as he took a seat at the table with Felix. “He had goals and aspirations. He also had dreams for you.” Felix looked down at his feet, “I know. He’s told me.

The ship swayed once again this time more violent than the previous one, “Shit now I’m starting to get pissed off.” “Yeah, but hey what can we do?” Niclaus stated. He then realized that he and Felix were actually sitting and having a conversation about Isi. “Felix since we are already here….” Felix interrupted, “I was going to…..” Niclaus began to giggle. “I guess we were having the same thought huh?” Felix rolled his eyes, “Could have been. What were you going to say?” “I was going to say since we are already here and we are actually talking, that we should have that conversation. I told you there were things that I needed to tell you.” Felix put his hand out to Niclaus, “I’ll tell you what. Let’s get this whole training out the way and you will have my full attention. You have my word. You know I think I’m ready to hear a little bit more about Isi. To be honest, I never really knew the very person I was close to.” Niclaus chuckled as he stood from his seat. “You are just going to keep pushing this back aren’t you. Well, atleast you are willing to actually keep your word this time.” Niclaus then walked over to the side of his bed and turned to Felix in place. “Hey, question. How are you going to train anyone when you don’t have you key weapon? Hmmmmmmm?” A smile appeared on Niclaus’ face as he asked the question. “Well…” Felix scratched his head, “I haven’t really thought that through yet.” Niclaus reached underneath his pillow and pulled out the case. With his eyes locked on the top of the case, he delicately walked it over to the table. Niclaus set the case softly on the table and slowly etched it over to Felix. “Open it.” Felix looked at the box carefully then squinted at Niclaus, “This isn’t gonna blow up is it?” Niclaus was going to chuckle but forgot how funny that joke was. “Open it, Felix.” Felix then brought his hand toward the box, “Will it like, cause me to go blind?” He paused. “If you don’t want it I’ll be sure to put it back where I got it from mister. I swear if you aren’t like Isi….. I had to basically kill him to surprise him too.” Felix squinted at Niclaus one last time before continuing on. He slowly but surely opened the box cracking the lid. “Alright it’s poison isn’t it?” “Boy….” That is the only thing Niclaus could say.

Finally opening the box, Felix’s mouth dropped once he saw what was inside. “Isi and I crafted this for you right before that mission. It was meant to be a gift. It is entirely indestructible. It is a token of both of our love for you and it is protected by that very love. I hope you like it.” Niclaus explained as he smiled a genuine and love filled smile. Felix sat there in awe as he looked over the flute. It was absolutely beautiful. Handmade bamboo and sugarcane. Coated with the finest finish. “It’s exquisite.” He uttered. That was about the only thing Felix could even say without choking up. He didn’t know whether to cry or just be happy. So he chose the latter. “Hmph. Well, I’ll be damned Niclaus actually isn’t getting on my nerves.” He smiled pushing out his chair. He then swiftly threw his hands around Niclaus, giving him a warm, heartfelt hug, “Thank you. It’s wonderful.” Niclaus embraced Felix. “Of course. I’m just glad that your reaction was what we always hoped it would be.” A small tear fell from Niclaus’ eye as he hugged Felix back and closed his eyes. Releasing Niclaus, Felix had a determined look on his face. He looked at Niclaus with passion burning within his eyes. For the first time in awhile Felix’s eyes had meaning to them. Instead of the lost soul that dwelled within the confines of his mind, it was now the strong and determined boy that got him to where he was today. “Alright then. We have a Pirate to deal with.” Niclaus smiled. “Oh yeah and another thing about that flute…. well… you’ll see.

Suddenly a knock came to the door. “Eighth Knight. Breakfast is here.” Niclaus slowly walked over to the door and opened it. Standing on the other side was the sailor from last night. “Oh, really they had to send you?” Niclaus responded knowing exactly what was going on. To make matters even worse, the sailor confirmed his suspicion as he entered the room with the serving trolley. “Actually, I volunteered.” Upon entering the room, the sailor noticed Felix. “I apologize, I wasn’t aware you had company. I will leave breakfast to you.” Embarrassed the sailor quickly exited the room. “Well, he’s full of life isn’t he.” Niclaus sighed as he walked over to the trolley and began to fix his plate. Felix swung his arm out and gripped Niclaus forearm. “Hey...I’m picking up on some strange vibrations. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought this was a whole day’s trip. The vibration signatures I’m picking up on are from Destirdere.” Niclaus’ face turned ill in nature. “You're right. I feel it too.” Niclaus grabbed Felix’s arm. “Let's go,” He announced as he drug Felix behind him. As Felix was being drug out, he grabbed a bagel and shoved it in his mouth. Niclaus made his way to the deck of the ship. Still holding Felix’s arm, he kicked the door open. However, it violently slammed shut. “What the hell.” Niclaus angrily spat. Felix jerked his arm back and stepped in front of Niclaus, “Let me try.

With that Felix channeled his soul essence to his arms, then from his arms to his hands, then from his hands out. The door blasted off the hinges. Debris came flying back at them. “Is this a storm or what?” Niclaus responded as he pushed his way infront of Felix. “I don’t know, but stay behind me.” Niclaus and Felix ventured onto the deck and was greeted with violent winds blowing from every which way. Once they were far enough onto the deck, Niclaus looked into the sky and it was as beautiful as a summer’s day. “What the hell?” He then turned behind himself and looked up. There stood Darious at the top of the crows nest. “Why you little…” With that, they both used kinsi, vanished, and appeared on both sides of the determined graduate. “What do you think you are doing?” Niclaus asked in a serious tone. Felix was ready to follow up on Niclaus’ question, but vibrations got the best of him. He eyes shot over to the head of the ship and in view he could see the establishment. “Shit…..shit….shiiiiiiiit.!” He yelled. “We need cover immediately. Get me Anuli and have him perform a smoke screen. Fetch Nicky and have her charge up the atmosphere. I’ll provide us water coverage. Niclaus I’m counting on you. Tell this little prick to slow us down!” With that, Felix scurried off the crows nest and down below. Niclaus got to work hiding everyone’s soul essence and putting up a sensory shield to block all forms of detection. “When this is over, I am so going to make your punishment way worse that Ralph could even possibly think of. Now slow this ship down or have fun as a new Hellen Keller 2.0 Niclaus style!@Affili

How he had reached the crows nest was a bit unknown to the captain, for when he had begun this whole process, he had been comfortably seated atop the wheelhouse. He supposed instincts had carried him up there once First mate Teller had informed him the islands were growing close. I gust of breeze carried his instructions to Mr. Teller once he felt the presence of the two knights who seemed quite upset with the fact that he had gotten them to the prison in one night "Brace yourself Mr. Teller"

As his concentration began to fade he heard once more from his Koumpi, its voice heavy with

loathing.

"It seems they will never trust you Boy! As far as they are concerned you're in such a hurry because you wish to aide him. Nothing more. They care not for you and would sooner lock you away then allow you to grow as a hunter" a malicious chuckle then it spat "Why else do you think you were not chosen from the faction at first? The skills you demonstrated far surpassed those of your fallen comrade thanks to me! But yet they chose her over you. why do you suppose that is?"

At any other time Darious would have cast the words of his Koumpi to the winds. But what if he was accurate this time? Why hadn't they chosen him from he beginning?

He spread his arms slowly once he felt the presence of the two Knights at the crows nest with him, and the sails soon fell still as the winds scatter from whence they came. When he turned to face Niclaus his eyes showed traces of sky blue, a dangerous expression upon them.

"Following orders eighth. Didn't your Felix wish to be brought here? and now I have brought him." That dangerous expression lingered in his eyes, but they slowly returned to their normal emerald green. "I want him off this ship as soon as possible and unless I am mistaking, were we not to drop him here then continue on to the Kunina all along? You people show up here, disrupt my ship and now my sailors are threatening to dive overboard and into the arms of the Sirens because of everything that has happened overnight. If this was not part of your plan then the two of you should have been more specific in the meeting last night instead of acting like children with temper tantrums." He paused for a moment to give his orders to the First mate, who had been watching the whole encounter cautiously from the wheelhouse.

"Prepare for port Mr. Teller"

"Aye Captain!"

Following the captains orders, Mr. Teller began barking his own orders.

"OK sailors, all hands on deck, bring in these sails, prepare for port" Mr. Tellers voice roared through out the entire ship and within moments, the deck came alive below Darious and Niclaus, as the sailors set to their tasks. He returned his focus to the Eighth. "Between the Bloods Bane and the commotions of the night, I didn't even have to update them, for we all know too well, the legends behind the Bloods Bane that encircled the moon last night."

As he shifted his gaze from Niclaus to the island prison as is drew near Darious added coldly "I see no justification for your punishment sir, I've carried out the orders and gotten you to this dreadful place. Why then, are you so quick to threaten me as if I've done something wrong? I am returning to my quarters" with that he shifted away, reappearing on deck at the wheelhouse "Well done Mr. Teller you've had a long night."

"As have you captain are you OK?"

"It's nothing" he offered, sparing another glance at Niclaus. "I'll be fine. I'm going to have some one relieve you so that you can take some time to rest" with a simple gesture from the captain, a sailor made their way to the wheelhouse and soon Mr. Teller retired below deck.

Darious was about to follow behind Mr. Teller but seeing the messengers and Felix spring into action with their attempts of concealment caused him to pause. It was already too late for that. even if someone had been tracing them since their approach they certainly would not give up just because a concentrated level of soul essences suddenly vanished. and the smoke screen would be enough to draw any attention to their exact location. He sighed angrily "Ready the canons just in case!" he yelled above all the commotion. "If they didn't know we were coming, they certainly know by now"

Vienna suddenly found herself jolted into consciousness by a powerful burst of soul essence that felt dangerously close. Her violet eyes forced themselves open as she sat up with a start, glancing around in a panic before she realized the signature as that of Felix, the Seventh Knight. "It would seem he's issued a wake-up call of sorts, though this early with all you went through yesterday... questionable..." her Koumpi echoed in her mind. Sighing, Vienna turned and sat up on the side of the bed, bare feet touching the floor. Part of her felt like simply laying back down, but she couldn't. Not now... in fact, as she began to slip out of her pajamas and dress in her Shadow gear, finally coming into full consciousness, she was hit with a virtually nauseating sensation as she sensed a vast amount of Forebodingly powerful soul essences all at once. "What... where are we?" "I'm afraid we've arrived at Destirdere. A prison for the most dangerous convicts with awakened Koumpis... I assume your fearless captain steered you here to deal with the whole Bloodbeard situation, though again, it seems a very questionable decision. I'd rather not be back here again..." "Back here? What do you mean?" "I might explain later, in a less urgent situation... let us just say I was once human, and during that time I did things I still regret..." "I... see" Vienna thought, not having much else to say.

Hastily fastening her scythe onto her back and hurriedly pulling on her cloak, she then opened the door and peered out into the ship's halls. At that very moment, the ship jolted with the torrent of the storm and Vienna was barely able to grab onto the door frame in order to keep her balance and not fall. She's used to being quite a bit more nimble than this, but being half-asleep combined with still not being fully recovered from her awakening the previous day seems to have taken quite the toll on her physical abilities. Vienna proceeded to carefully head up to the deck to see what was going on, meanwhile honing in on the soul essences she recognized. It was strange... Vienna wasn't entirely aware of this before, but she was beginning to realize she can sense one's emotions in thier soul essences. As she felt Darious' she felt anger, uncertainty, distrust... something was wrong, that was for certain.
"Yes, that is the specialty of our clan's bloodline, allowing us to take advantage of an enemy's weakened state or be alerted of an Ally's weakened state... usually it begins to emerge by the third awakening or so, but you seem to be grasping it more quickly than I expected," her Koumpi explained. Silently processing this information, Vienna reached a door to the upper deck and had to all but force it open with the Torrent of winds, but she managed, cautiously stepping through.

With a hand over her hood to keep it down, vienna hid in a patch of darkness near the door, for now observing the commotion aboard the deck, trying to get a feel for the situation. She spotted Nicky rushing out of another door on the other side of the ship, along with Anuli, beginning to raise thier soul essences. It seems they were going to use thier abilities for some defensive or concealing tactic for the ship. Looking above to the crow's nest, Darious stood there, the Seventh and the Eight seeming to have some sort of heated argument with him. It seemed that heading to the prison this quickly was Darious' idea alone, and understandably the Knights were not having it. Not wishing to get involved in that, she instead looked off into the distance as the prison island came into view, mentally preparing herself to leap into action if she perceives it as needed, or if she is called upon to do so. Vienna was still waking up and getting her bearings but beginning to feel her power increasing at least a little. Perhaps her rather short rest did her more good than it seemed at first, but she was still nowhere near full strength.

"That was a real pointless meeting." Sora told his koumpi. During the meeting he simply remained in True Concealment as it wasn't really worth appearing for and after words he slipped away took a bath along with other bedtime preparations then went to sleep which this time put him in his inner world with his koumpi Raikouryuu. "Don't waste time thinking about them and think about what I am going to teach you." It instructed coiling it's body around Sora but leaving about 3 feet of space at the center for Sora to stand in. It's massive head loomed over Sora as it explained what tonight's training would be about.

"Even in the little time you were on those meds, you seemed to have forgotten somethings. You clearly retained simply things like Rai Chunyu, Rakouken, and Rai Kinsi. But not Yoroi Raikou Kyoka so tonight I reteach them after it we can get into some new techniques Raikou Kankaku and Raikogeki Toei. Now observe!" The Raikouryuu finished.

Then the Raikouryuu and Sora were ghosts again looking back on his younger self. He was a little older this time and now wearing the half face mask he normally wears today. His younger self was very beaten up but this didn't come from himself but rather because his undeveloped body couldn't take the inner surge method he used up til

then to enhance his body beyond it's natural Hunter limits. Mirai was watching making sure he didn't pass out. She said "You body can't withstand all that power your trying to funnel into it, so you should try it a different way something outside the box."

Younger Sora looked up at her with a confused expression and then began think. "That's it outside the box. Remember that time I could fit a whole bunch of kunai knives into my pouch so I strapped them to the outside of it as well as inside. " Maybe I should try the same focus some of my power inside be but some of it outside as well." He said. Mirai looked like she wanted to say alot of very unnice things but decided she should just watch if this works first. But then the vision faded and the Sora found himself back in his stormy inner world with the Raikouryuu floating above him, it gave no instruction because Sora didn't need any.

Then Sora found himself suddenly awakened by a burst of soul essence. "It would seem one of those around your little team decided to wake you up and disturb your review. Gear up, there must be cause for this alarm as I am sure you sense it." Raikouryuu finished. Sora then felt several large soul essence and began to quickly put on his lightweight ninja armor as well as load with a katana, wakizashi, shuriken, and kunai. He was ready to fight today and show off how awesome he truly is.

"We have already established that Alf," Anuli replied to Alf's comment. "And I'm not giving her a lecture. If that's what you're implying." He finished. They seemed to have worked well into the night. Thankfully for Anuli, he took a good nap before coming here. They briefed the messengers and told them to rest up. That's what they did, so Anuli wasn't sleepy at all. He was about to pull Alf to the side, but a loud banging sound began to sound from the door of the storage room. Anuli shot his eyes in that direction and the realized something wasn't right. He was beginning to feel like they were in some trouble. His soul essence sensing skills were never up to par. No matter how hard he tried, he would never get it. Finally his instructor gave up on him but his gut feelings were never off. He walked over to the door and opened it and saw it was a sailor "Yes?" Before He could even finish the word, the sailor spoke, "The Knights are requesting you and Ms. Nicky's assistance." Anuli looked at Alf and Nicky, then nodded, "I'm on my way." He replied hurrying out the door. @DergTheDergon @babyjoker36610

As he was getting down the hall, he noticed it was busier than usual. Sailors were running around all over the place as if something were wrong. He was going to stop, but the Knight was a more pressing matter. Anuli busted through the door with Nicky making it to the top deck. He looked around and could tell the tension was high but he kept his mouth closed. "Smoke screen." A sailor yelled to Anuli. That's all he needed to hear in order to know what to do. He looked to Nicky, "Back me up." He then took a few steps forward, raised his soul essence' and rubbed his hands together. He protruded his hands out and swung them out creating a trail of smoke from them. Following that he clapped them together uttering the words, "Moisturize" and smoke began to pour from his pores. This type of smoke made it next to impossible to spot the caster. If mix with nature, it will transform to a foggy mist. "Your turn Nicky. Thinking Blindiga Lumo?" He suggested. @DergTheDergon

Kehinde was on the side of the bed with His head hanging off the pillow and his mouth wide open. He was so deep off in sleep he didn't even feel the buzz coming from his bed. Kehinde has always been one to over sleep. No matter what the circumstances were, he woke up when he wanted to. He was always last to eat breakfast and always the first to go to bed. Nobody ever understood why he was like that. "Lord Akachi....." The voice in his head called. "Lord Akachi....." It called once again. "Kehinde Damn it!" It yelled. "Really....sorry ass." His Koumpi then assumed control of the sleeping beauty's motor skills. If the Koumpi had a body it would be shaking its head at Kehinde. "Roll....over damn it." Kehinde's body flung itself off the bed. Thud. His body sounded as it hit the floor. "H....huh...what…” He suddenly spoke yawning. “Your gonna end up sleeping your life away and I won’t have a second chance on life. Get up fool.” Kehinde was fast asleep once again. “Oh my….KEHINDE!” The voice yelled. “H...huh...I’m up!” Kehinde darted his head up. “Get cleaned up something is going down.” Kehinde yawned and stretched his arms, “Ummhmm something…..is…..go….ing….” He was sleep once again.

The ship swayed a little causing Kehinde to roll into the doorway bumping his head. The sharp pain immediately caused his eyes to shoot open. He sat up rubbing his head and looking around. He reached up and grabbed his watch and looked at the time, “Ahh it’s only, six-fifty-four.” He yawned. His eyes widened, “SIX-FIFTY-FOUR! I’ve got to get up!” He jumped to his feet and into the restroom. After about a few minutes, Kehinde was awake and ready to go. He had changed his clothes, washed his face, brushed, his teeth, and even sprayed himself with a bit of cocoa. He and his cologne were in separable. It wasn’t until then that he began to feel something strange was a mist. It really was a feeling on couldn’t explain, but felt when there was sense of uncertainty or danger. Curiosity got the best of Kehinde, so he ventured out of his room to see what was going on. “Stay alert I don’t have a good feeling.” Kehinde nodded and kept on moving. The hallways were pretty busy for it to be early morning. As he walked he noticed a doorway was busted off its hinges. So he went over to get a better look. Upon arriving, he poked his head out to see what was going on. From his angle he could see Anuli, Nicky, and just a little bit of Darious. “Why is everyone so hyped this morning.” He thought to himself. “Play it safe and observe. Don’t do anything stupid.

As the sailor came in and informed Anuli and Nicky that they are needed up on the deck immidiatley, Alf’s face curled with disappointment as he wasn’t mentioned. However, after following NIcky and Anuli to the deck his face changed to a more shocked look. He knew exactly why they were the ones called at that point. He quickly stood to the side as he watched Anuli create his infamous smoke screen covering the entire ship. Alf also felt a small jolt in his blood. This obviously meant that Niclaus was adjusting everyone’s soul essence so it couldn’t be sensed. Afl then felt a small vibration in his blood, notifying him that Felix was dealing with the vibrations in the water to avoid beinging sensed in that way. Alf then knowing he could be of assistance, made his way over to Felix’s location. “Hey Felix, Mind if I help.” He greeted the young teen. Alf then took a ring on his left hand thumb and pressed it against his right wrist. The combination of the sharp edge on that particular side of the ring and the pressure he applied, was enough to create a small gash in his wrist. Alf then manipulated the blood to drain into the water. Alf closing his eyes for concentration, then manipulated the blood to case the bottome of the ship, lifting it from the water. Doing this, Alf forced the water away from the ship causing less vibrations as well as guarding the ship from prying eyes below. Alf was content with the only help he could muster. @FrontLine @DergTheDergon @OwlOne

Kimirou has been awake for hours meditating on the floor of his cabin, when the small wake-up vibration notified him that others were wake. Kimirou stood and then shredded himself of his nightwear. Kimirou then placed a pair of black skinny-leg jeans on, a white t-shirt, his black leather jacket, a pair of black studded boyfriend boots, and to top the outfit off a black leather choker around his neck. Kimirou smiled in the mirror as he replaced the earbuds he was previously wearing back into his ear. Kimirou looked at the phone connected to the other end of the earphones. He pressed the small treasure chest looking icon, and up on the screen popped, “Dynasty Chest, The place that ears love to vacation.” Kimirou smiled as the next title appeared with a album picture. “I love this music app.” He thought only for his Koumpi to of course ask the old person question of, “What is am app? I know of course what music is but what is an app?” Kimirou rolled his eyes. “You need to update yourself. App is short for Application. An application on a phone is a program that you can open to do different things. This app in particular, Dynasty Chest, is a music app. You can put in the the title of an album, song, or an artist, and it will search up and play different songs not only from the artist but other artists like them.” He then paused and sarcastically added, “And an album is a collection of song, before you even ask.” With that, Kimirou pressed the skip button at the bottom right hand corner of the phone screen. Kimirou turned up the volume as the next song appeared on the screen. Kimirou smiled due to him having a strong connection with the song.

*Press play* As the song began to play he exited the room. Everything around him seemed to be going in slow motion. Things being thrown from one sailor to the other on the side of the hall, sailors running all over the place, even this one sailor taking a puff from his cigarette. Even the smoke was moving in slow motion. It was as if the entire ship was moving along to the rhythm of the song. Upon arriving to the end of the hall connected to the exit he was planning to take to the deck, he came across Kehinde, peering out of the doorway with the no longer existing door. Kimirou made his way quietly behind Kehinde and looked over his shoulder to see Anuli and Nicky standing there. He could see Anuli creating a smoke screen with Nicky standing to his left side. A flash of the infirmary hallway ran through Kimriou’s mind. Kimirou unexpectedly whispered to Kehinde, “I guess it’s our turn. The infamous Infirmary squad is back in action." Still listening to the beautiful song, knowing he couldn’t hear Kehinde even if he did respond, Kimirou walked swiftly around Kehinde without even touching him. Kimirou made his way to the right side of Anuli. “Infirmary Squad back in action.” He smiled greeting the both of them. @DergTheDergon @FrontLine

Kimirou then turned to the perfect opportunity to jump in. Right before he did though his Koumpi interjected. “Ah ah ah, Don’t use your hand this time.” Kimirou responded in thought, “But I used that as a guide.” She angrily responded. “You used it as a crutch to assist with using that technique. Nope, never again.” She then changed her tone. “In order to optimize this technique, you need to introduce it without warning or effort. I will take a while for you to do it without effort but at least this is a start. Raise your soul essence about 5%, then gather it like you are supposed to in your stomach. Then ease it up your throat and into your mouth. Then whistle the breeze out without a sound.” Kimirou agreed with a small unnoticeable nod and did as was told. When he began to release the icy breeze it was beautiful. Swirls of frost flew with the breeze, and it iced the smoke as it did in the infirmary more quickly and delicately. The ice crystals were even smaller and less noticeable this time as well. His Koumpi spoke then congratulating him. “Perfect, and on your first try too. It will get easier the more you use it. Also more ice crystals are produced when you use the technique the correct way you just did. This also will block all heat sensoring that may be going on as well. Great job Kimirou.” Kimirou smiled in satisfaction at his ability to use the technique in such a perfect way. He actually agreed with his Koumpi that this way was much more easier and unnoticeable to use than that of with his hand. For once in a very long time, Kimirou was genuine happy with himself and his capabilities. So much so that his Koumpi couldn’t help but comment again. “Told you, you are not the person your father is or wanted you to be. You are Kimirou Asura and you are perfect the way you are.” With that comment a small tear of joy found its way out of Kimirou’s right eye and down his cheek. Kimirou didn’t even try to wipe it out of joy.

Soley Sinamori The sound of angry cars and angry people filled Soley's ears. All the bickering was quite annoying but there was nothing much she could do. From tapping her foot, to unloading and reloading her girls, and to the current smack of her teeth against gum. The gum had helped initially, but as soon as its sourly-sweetness faded, the annoyance returned. Most people would find the young woman's impatience a flaw in the world of assassins and as much as she didn't want to admit it, they were right. Many times her impatience has brought trouble, especially a job last year. For some reason she'd decided to take on a job with a former colleague, and boy was that a big mistake. They took on the mission of ridding a someone's business competition, only that competition happened to have the best anti-assassin force Soley had ever come across. Number one recommendation for an assassin? Always, always work alone, even if both lives were threatened by the same enemy. A person's best bet would be to leave the other for dead anyway, which was exactly what 21 year old Soley Sinamori did.

Soley finally spit out the gum into the plastic wrapper it came in before tossing it aside. She didn't care much for a 'pollution free world', but she didn't want to be the one stepping into stickiness either. As if that made any sense. It wasn't long after her lame attempt at saving her shoes when slight movement below caught her eye. Immediately, the petite woman peered over the sky scraper, clearly not fazed by the height, and watched the man who had made a welcoming appearance. Gray eyes examined the figure and she noted his burly physique and the limp to his walk. Whites were peeking underneath his jet black hair and Soley immediately knew that he was indeed her target. Mr. Kingsley Lacrois, the same man who hired her to end his competition. Number one recommendation for a person looking to hire an assassin? Don't expect the assassin to not come after you next.

In one swift movement, the small woman placed a hand onto the rail next to her and began the supposed-to-be-long climb down the ten story tall building. Effortlessly with great skill, the elderly man was against the nearest brick wall. Soley could already see the trickles of sweat falling down the side of his face and wanted to snicker. "Hellloooo Mr. Lacrois," her monotonous voice sang in an eerie fashion, "remember me?"" The old man's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, making Soley tilt her head and bring out an innocent expression. This was the way he remembered her, after threatening to slice off his pinkies for setting her up for dead. When his eyes fixated on her smile, he shakily spoke. "I-I uh... yes I do... S-striker, right?"

Soley's lips twitched at the alias and she instantaneously brought out one of the daggers on her thighs, holding it dangerously close to his neck. The prickle of blood that formed was a satisfying sight and with the girl replied icily, ""Yes, I am Striker, the one you hired to kill someone who has much more authority than you in. The one who threatened to caught off this little pinkie here." She drew the dagger to his right pinkie and left it there, chortling at his pitiful whimper. You know, you're probably wondering why I'm here, but then again, you're a smart man so you know the exact reason. Still though, I'm normally a merciful assassin but for you, I may play a bit dirty and let you run from me. Oh, but you did make me wait so maybe I shouldn't let you run and just slowly cu-"

A dagger zoomed from the brunette to a figure standing in the shadows. Clapping filled the dark alleyway as the mysterious being walked forward with her dagger between his fingers. Soley frowned at the interruption and pulled out her black pistol as a warning. She pointed it to the man, noting his sleazy appearance, and warned. "Take a step forward and you lose a foot." Her black baby lowered slowly, showing her aim towards the man's lower half. The man, however, only grinned which made irritated Soley even further. "You're good." He chuckled lowly, giving hints of a nasally type voice. "But are you good enough to listen to what I'm about to say?"

The woman glanced at the man who was still shaking violently against the wall. She smelt the wretched scent of urine and grunted before pushing him to the ground and telling him to get out. The elderly man gladly took the command and scurried away, noticeably bumping into the people on main street. Soley rolled her eyes and returned her attention to the man before her, who clearly seemed pleased by her decision. It wasn't like she normally let her targets free, but when a shady man who knew how to complement a woman approached her, she knew he had tasty information. "Okay." Soley stated. "Talk."

His smile broadened, revealing ugly teeth and a few cavities. "You were after that guy because he had intel on the breakout, right?"

Soley's eyebrows raised in interest and she liked where this was going already.

Margie’s eyes crack open after what seemed like hours. Her breathing was steady, however, her vision was still a little blurry. She could see two figures, but she couldn't tell who they were. "Get away from me or you will choke on your own bodily fluids." She cautiously yelled. Rina not even paying attention looked over to Paige. Paige nodded in agreement. "Sorry Mrs. Margaret, but you are in Destirdere. You were locked up...." She was interrupted by Rina. “Not to mention knocked out." Her pleasant sounding voice echoed within the cell. “Sit up, we need to talk.” Paige helped the Fifth Knight sit up as she apologized to Rina for doing what she always does when explaining things. Paige for some reason couldn't shake the habit of informing people of things they already knew. Margie rubbed her head, which was throbbing. "What the hell happened Rina? The last thing I remember is talking to Darious." Rina finished making her solution, poured it into a cup, and walked it over to Margie. “Drink this,” She suggested placing the cup up to Margie’s mouth, “You’ll feel better." After taking the first sip, Margie spits it out and stood remembering exactly what happened. "That wasn't Darious. Where the hell is he?" She walked to the door of the cell and looked both ways down the hall. "He's younger. This is bad. How long was I out?" Margie asked with a very worried look upon her face. Rina’s voice turned from pleasant to serious in almost an instant. She was more or less trying to get information as was everyone else. “Tell me..” She spoke softly, “What do you know?” "Bloodbeard, he's younger. He also is released from his restraints. At the same exact time Thomas was releasing me, someone released him. This is bad." Margie's concern could clearly be heard in her voice. Not a second later, an explosion of sorts occurred following the explanation Margie gave. Rin looked to Paige who then looked to Margie. The room grew silent for a moment. One would say you could hear a pin drop.

With everyone’s offering their help, making it there, the ship would seem undetectable. As the ship drew closer to the island, Niclaus made his way to Felix. "I can't believe Donald did this. What are we supposed to do now?" He greeted Felix. Felix sighed as he twitched his last finger to bring up the water around the ship. “Wasn’t expecting to get here this quickly. What has gotten into him?” He scratched his head. "Well, you did almost kill him last night." Niclaus sighed as he rested his back against the rails while simultaneously crossing his arms. "Do we know the current status of the situation?" A serious tone left the Eighth's lips. Felix shook his head at the question trying to figure up a response, “Not at all. I was supposed to hear back from Margaret, but oddly enough I haven’t. Probably upset.” Niclaus chuckled, "What did you do to piss her off? Hang up in her face?"

A loud boom sounded knocking Felix off of his concentration. Doing this dropped the water cover as fast as it went up. “what…..” He pondered looking over to see a smoke. The ship was sticking out like a sore thumb and Felix didn’t have the time to recreate the barrier. “What was that?” He questioned. Right after Felix questioned the sound, Niclaus’ phone rang. He quickly answered hoping it would be more information on said boom. “Hey, Nicky.” Niclaus’ eyes rolled. “Not now I am in the middle of something.” He then hung up without even a goodbye. He moved his fingers through his hair and returned to the situation. “Sorry. That was nothing. So what were we talking about again?” Obviously the person that called threw Niclaus completely off track. A disembodied voice with a gruff and commanding tone spoke from behind the two Knights, “Hmm...things go boom. Who would have thought I’d see it from this perspective.” Niclaus looked behind him, yet nothing was there. He knew exactly who’s voice it was. Considering that was the last person Niclaus had placed in Destirdere. The voice chuckled and came from another direction, “Hmm it’s been about thirteen years since I’ve seen the light of day?”And when I get ahold of you, you won’t be alive to see it again.” Niclaus angrily spat at basically nothing. Felix’s hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as he heard the voice. There wasn’t a vibration signature at all coming from anywhere. This only happened when he was being blocked or there was physically no one there. “We’ll see.” The voice returned chuckling. Following that a clicking sounded and he spoke once again, “Disperse.” And a random cloud fizzled out into nothing. Felix coming to terms with the situation at hand looked to Nereus, “Stay here. I’m going to go have a look. Make sure nothing happens here. If I’m not back in twenty minutes come for me.” With that, Felix used Kinsi and vanished.

The ship touched the Island of Destirdere and the first to exit was Niclaus. He looked over to Anuli, Nicky and Alf after getting off of the ship. “You guys get everyone off of the ship. It may have been compromised. Also someone find Sora, we are going to need him as well.” He ordered. The three agreed and set off with their new orders. Niclaus knew this voice very well. If this person would loose it would only mean one thing. Niclaus couldn’t even bare the thought. He waved his hand to Kehinde, Kimirou, the hidden Vienna, and even the reluctant Darious to join him on the beach. “Yo!” A voice greeted from a distance. “Have room for one more?” Niclaus turn around only to find Lex standing there with a young woman standing next to him. “What the hell are you doing here Lex? And better yet who the hell is she?” Lex is a rather petite young man. Had pale skin and a more of a preppy look. He never got his hands dirty and if there was a way to get out of something he’d find it. “I should be asking you the same thing, Queens.” He adjusted his shirt. “This here just happens to be a very…..let's say.” He looked to Soley giving her a once over, “An ‘ass’istant I am being forced to have tag along with me. Emphasis on Ass.” Niclaus chuckled, “Ralph put you up to this didn’t it, Latex?” @Newtype

With that, Niclaus took out his phone and immediately dialed Ralph’s phone. Lex snapped his fingers disrupting the communication. “It’s rude to pull out your phone when people are talkin……” Niclaus had risen his hand and made a shut puppet mouth with it. This caused Lex to lose the sense of taste with of course with the effects of Niclaus’ abilities as it did with Felix, caused Lex to lose the ability to talk. Niclaus also severed Felix’s connection with his soul essence causing him to lose the use of his abilities for the moment. “Sorry, I’m on the phone,” He replied. The phone then began to ring. “This person’s mailbox is full and cannot receive any more messages. Goodbye.” The voicemail relayed. “Little bastard’s voicemail is full. We have to teach him how to use a damn phone.” With that, Niclaus threw his phone into the water. He then looked over to Lex. “Well, your useless aren’t you?” Niclaus smiled at the ignorant fool. “You don’t like getting dirty do you?” He then chuckled, “Blackout” Lex did just as Felix did on the ship and fell lifelessly to the ground. Niclaus then looked back to the young woman. “Darling your eyes are beautiful. Time for introductions.” He walked closer. “My name is Niclaus Nereus. I’m the Eighth Knight of the Roundtable, And you are?” Looking back to Lex he continued to speak to the woman. “Don’t worry about him hun. That’s just punishment for not following orders correctly. You can’t follow orders by getting someone else to do them." @Raphael

Darious breathed easy once more. The ship at made port without incident and he had to admit that everyone had done a spectacular job at hiding the ship. Unfortunately as he had anticipated, it was a futile attempt. That ship had been sensed a long time ago. Sometimes word traveled faster than any phone could carry it.

He watched quietly as the cloud formed, then moments later, that voice. It was just as he remembered it. Still enough to send shivers up anybody's spine.

A menacing chuckle erupted within Darious mind,

"My My, seems like the news was true after all Boy! My brothers and sisters can spare you the guessing games and reveal to you how all of this will end!" it taunted "If you're interested come see me when you get a moment" With that, Darious felt the presence of his Koumpi recess back into his mind once more. It was getting stronger, more aggressive, slowly but surely. Darious dreaded the idea of ever loosing control. It was this dread alone that had been suppressing his Koumpi for the better part of thirteen long years now.

His thoughts were interrupted as Niclaus waved to him, or beckoned to him, the pirate was not exactly sure if joining the Eighth was negotiable at this moment. He was in enough trouble as it was, and disappearing now would surely reek dire consequences. He used kinisi to join his other colleagues on the beach and was greeted by the very pleasant sight of a new face.

Darious ran his green eyes over the woman and dipped his heap politely, removing his hat.

"And I'm Darious, captain of this glorious vessel you see behind us" he said, sweeping his arm over the ship behind them.

His pleasantries were short lived however as a very pressing matter returned to his thoughts. They were on a beach, next to a penitentiary, overpopulated with the most terrible convicts in existence, and not one guard at appeared since the ship had landed.

"Say fabulous Miss Eighth. Where do you suppose all the guards are? This is Destirdere after all isn't it?" he queried, as his eyes instinctively began roaming their immediate surroundings. "He's already Loose..and if I know him...he's already found some friends." he added coldly to no one in particular. Ruffians and bad asses were drawn to the man like kids to a candy store. It would not have taken him long to recruit a few pals. Until he was through with them of course then...Darious shuttered to himself for a moment as if it had suddenly become winter. He pushed back the thoughts with great effort for fear of retching.

Darious pulled a full flask of the special spiced rum from his jacket, tossing it to the nearest graduate. "Here, drink this. Just a swig or two will be enough to revitalize a good portion of your depleted Soul Essence. It's and old Vaunbane recipe." he added proudly, winking at Vienna. "I never leave home without a fresh batch."
