There is a world that no human can understand. A world of animals but in this world the cute pets look like nearly normal humans. Pets and strays live in completely different worlds or so they think, just like humans do. In this world, cats have a skill and power all their own to protect their humans. There are the legends of wild cats but they are really just very rare and only three exist in the world right now. There is a darkness that is coming to harm humans and "liberate" the cats from their humans but that is not a good thing. What side will you be on? What will you do to either keep your human or potential human safe, or get your freedom from the domestication of your heritage?
