typically after you post in a roleplay forum, you're able to edit it. A 'dice roll' option will come at the very bottom left, and if you click it, you can edit your roll.

this will appear. Faces mean just how many sides to the dice there are, usually we use even numbers all the way up to 100. Reasoning for this good be "Lucario's attack miss or hit" kind of scenario.
If you put <5, and faces 10, and roll a 7, that means you won the roll if that was understandable?

there are several other forums to help you, but if not many people here know about it, then you can discuss moves with your partner.

Aight. Here's what were gonna do. After our 'mon makes the attack, we roll the 100 sided die. If it rolls higher than the percentage to hit (eg, Air Slash has 95%, and if I rolled a 97), that's a miss. Lower roll, that's a hit. We also incorporate any boosts or lowering of evasion and accuracy into the roll. As for how much damage and how effective the attack is, just go with what u feel is right and how much damage u think they should take.

Alternatively, we could just go "eh. That attack probably hits" or "eh. I think my 'mon would dodge that " and ditch the dice system altogether for our battle.
