That's only counting stuff you own directly isn't it? Don't you also have income from vassals? Besides, I'm actually in massive debt, you on the other hand are in the black and even have savings. All the money in my coffers is actually representative of the stuff I mortgaged before the war.I have 1 town and 2 villages. don't start with me ab being broke
Hey Lorsh, is it bad form to have the garrison you're about to replace the surrendering garrison with on site while they give their oaths? Or is that pretty much ok so long as they aren't blocking their escape or doing anything threatening? I just want a quick exchange of garrison at Cwywallen.Heyitsjiwon have your harriers split up to attack different areas at once or are they mostly travelling together
having stipendiaries / foreign adventurers around would upset/sketch them out - but they could probably be kept nearby no problemHey Lorsh, is it bad form to have the garrison you're about to replace the surrendering garrison with on site while they give their oaths? That's ok, I don't want to give offense. So it's probably best if I'm there with just a few stout bodyguards and the replacement Garrison wait in the castle until they're all oathed up?have stipendiaries around would upset them

Stop burning down my brideprice. They're mostly sticking together in case they actually encounter some sort of resistance.
yeah - though having them there wouldn't REALLY be a big deal i guess, as long as they aren't in threatening positions or serving in a ceremonial capacity, except standing around as part of the general armed assembly for the transferThat's ok, I don't want to give offense. That's the intention, just standing around being all non-threatening and ceremonial. Definitely taking him hostage, going to make him renounce his inheritance to the land, in writing too. Sure they can claim it's invalid because it's under duress, but it still strengthens my claim. Especially if I get it validated by the Bishop of Trambley. (Did we agree he was my Uncle? I seem to recall him being a relative of some sort)yeah - though having them there wouldn't REALLY be a big deal i guess, as long as they aren't in threatening positions or serving in a ceremonial capacity, except standing around as part of a general armed assembly
are you taking Sir Aechon Holdwoth hostage

I mean he's also the one who validated my wedding to Lady Dierdre so it makes sense we've got some good Nepotism going on.he's an abbot
yeah he can be your uncle... i rolled to see if he actually liked you, and got 10/10, so congratulations, you have a great relationship with him
Looks at Philippe conducting his own war "Well, you've got a point."Imagine trying to wage a war that doesn't include pillaged villages and crippled socio-economics of your enemies.
How is that different from what we're doing?Ngl, sometimes I think I could play as a mean band of bastards/free company/mercenaries.

Ah! How could I forget!titles
Technically you only have to give protection to your vassals, not the serfs.Having a "boss" and actual responsibilities to "protect" folk.
i mean you kinda do (may also be in "boldvalric" "code")Technically you only have to give protection to your vassals, not the serfs.
Well yeah, you do have to offer protection in a general sense but their vows don't typically include protection in a specific sense. This is actually why the scuffle between Lord Bradorian and Darndon is such a big deal. If they were regular serfs who got attacked you'd be obligated to provide justice if the ones who assaulted them were of equal rank, though you'd only have to provide "assurances" against attacks by social superiors. But for Knightly vassals you actually do have pretty specific legal obligations to avenge their persons. (As far as I understand)i mean you kinda do (may also be in "boldvalric" "code")
cannot provide free labour if dead
