A webpage has been put up. It reads:

Found out I had powers a few months ago. Calling out to any other Supers. I have a place to meet.

Who will answer it?

Please make webpage entries bold and everything else unbolded.

Riley sat in front of her computer, filled with excitement. This could be dangerous. But she might finally meet other people with powers!

After a few minutes, she got up. Riley wished she could take the computer to her practice area, but it was a desktop. And anyway, if might get wrecked.

Resolving to only be gone for an hour, Riley logged out of her account on the webpage, put on her baggy hoodie, and left her apartment. She was very careful as she walked down to the lake - it had become a bit of a game. Be inconspicuous and try not to get spotted. The navy blue hoody and pants, in the dark evening, prevented the few people out from seeing her.

As she reached the woods near the edge of city limits, Riley looked around, to make sure no one was following her. Then she went in.

Riley walked until she reached her favorite spot on the edge of Lake Huron. She was in her favorite spot for what must've been the hundredth time since June. She there was a muddy semicircle, a few meters in diameter, slanting right into the lake. Outside of the semicircle were trees.

As usual, Riley left her hoody, shoes and socks at the tree line - the hoody was baggy, and dad would yell at her if she brought in mud. Then, after looking around one more time, she took off the rest of her clothes, including her underwear. She took her goggles and flashlight-in-a-baggy (she put it there, to keep it from getting wet) out of her hoody pocket.

Riley walked into the water until she was up to her neck, and put on the goggles. It was early autumn, nearly October, and the water was incredibly cold. She pushed off and swam, anyway.

Riley swam with her face in the water. But she didn't bring her head up to breath. She tried to think past the cold all around, looked at one patch of water, and focused. And focused. And focused. And the small patch of H2O bubbled into separate hydrogen and oxygen.

Riley smiled, and felt the energy flow into her, warming her numb body. She focused again, actively absorbing and directing the energy from the chemical reaction. Up to the brain. Up to the brain. It took a few tries, and several reactions, but eventually the energy went there. Riley felt the urge to breath die down. She'd been trying to do that for weeks.

Then Riley sank below the surface. She wasn't done yet.

Riley continued making this reaction, as she swam lower and lower into the cold, dark lake. She knew the general area she was above - she'd attempted this swim a few times before.

Finally, Riley hit the bottom. She turned on the flashlight. It barely pierced the darkness around her. She turned in a circle, and saw the light glint in one direction. She moved towards the glint, and hit a transparent diamond dome.

Riley smiled. She'd make three of these, almost a month ago, and pushed them into the water on the muddy slant. She'd been trying ever since to open them underwater - she'd only done it once above water, before pushing all three in, one by one.

Riley checked her watch. She'd been gone for almost an hour.

Disappointed and excited at the same time, Riley rose to the surface, dressed, and made her way home in the dark.

She took a shower and wrapped herself in a bathrobe. It was a bit small on her, but it was nice and warm.

Then, Riley sat by the computer, and checked it for any messages.

Hours passed. The flight had been far too long and turbulent just for Grey's mother, and the bus ride to north of Detroit wasn't smooth either. The hag somehow got herself stuck in a jail cell some twenty-two hundred miles from home. Only briefly blurring once or twice, Grey had remained uncharacteristically calm on the journey.

There was an abrupt blast from the anterior of the bus. A thunderclap. It's passengers were sent hurtling into the seat before them. The driver was not as fortunate. Grey too went flying, but went past the ragged seat and departed driver and the bus's shattered window. His molecules broke as they glided through the wreckage. His mind groping for the physical realm, he focused to become whole again, but only managed a breath.

Grey was left in a near nonexistent state on the shore of Lake Huron. His scarlet scarf had fallen off of him and landed a few feet away from his blurry body.

Riley walked quietly towards the river. It was nearly sunset.

Then there was a massive blast, and then a crash. She turned to see a bus that had swerved into a tree, maybe a kilometer away. There were scorch marks in the windows - probably a bomb.

Riley's heart beat like crazy. Her first instinct was to run towards the bus and help. But what if the bomber wanted to kill her too? What if the authorities came, and wondered what she was doing there? She could think of a thousand questions she didn't want to answer. What are you doing here so late? Why do you have googles - are you planning to swim in the lake? Don't you know how cold it is?

Riley knew how cold it was. She always checked online. Tonight, it was fourteen degrees C. People went into cold shock between ten and fifteen, making them hyperventilate until they died. The lake would've been incredibly dangerous to swim in - if Riley had needed to breathe. The energy from her reactions was enough.

Aware that people in the bus could be dying that very moment, Riley decided to call 911. She told them about the crash, the possible bomb, and the location. Then she hung up.

Okay. She had only a few minutes to get out of there, before the authorities came.

Then she saw it. A bright red scarf.

Against her better judgement, Riley walked over to it. She scanned the surrounding area, looking for who it might belong to. Then she looked more closely.

There was a... person? He was... sort of blurry. Dim. Hard to see.

Riley reached out to touch him. There was skin, but it felt... thin. Like she could put her finger right through it, and nothing would happen.

Should... should she tie the scarf around him, and hope a paramedic found him? Should she stay there herself? No, sticking around was a bad idea. But there was clearly something special about this guy, and something told Riley she should let him explain it, before handing him over to the authorities.

Not knowing where else to take him, she started pulling him towards the lake, thinking of her domes.

A girl near Grey's age had witnessed the event. Calling police, She reacted faster than Grey would ever be able to though in a more panicked manner. She was frightened. Her hand rattled as she called for help.

[Greyson's Perspective]

My body was stone unwilling to move. "Run!" I Yelled at the girl. My voice cascaded into nothingness and although she heard nothing, she looked. My vision was blurring. The light was fading. She came towards me and lifted a hand to my cheek. Her finger passed my face and she was baffled. I was ashamed. Why must I be this way, weak and emotional?

I faded further. She began to drag me towards the shore. "Run," I told her once more. The area near me began to blur briefly. I did not know why. It was quickly reverted sending the girl to her feet. The water splashed.

"Howdy Bill! How's going?" Merrily said Jane to a street food vendor while driving by in her patrol car. She had a sunny smile that was in stark contrast with the grey sky above the Capitol, but nonetheless the smile was contagious along with the good mood.

"My, isn't the cutest officer in the District! S'gonna be the usual, a bit slow but still a good business. Cup of Joe and an hot dog, officer?" Asked the old man, Jane nodded while her partner chuckled a bit.

"Hey Williams, is that true that you asked for a weekend out?" Asked her partner while Jane played and thanked the street vendor.

"Well yeah, why you ask?" Said Jane but after a sip of coffee she figured why he asked that question.

"Whoa whoa, don't worry mister jealous! It's just a friend I met on the net, and she's a girl!" She grinned but her partner didn't looked very convinced of the answer.

"Listen Williams, I-I don't really care if you're seeing someone..."

"Really?" She said in a mocking tone

"Really!" He responded defensively "It's just that I can't trust some guy or gal you just met on the net, friend or not, I mean we're partners, we gotta watch our backs and..." Jane laughed a bit and was almost going to spit out her coffee but her partner was beet red and felt like a shy teenager who just made his crush laughter at him.

"Aww c'mon Robertson! We're cops! Patrolmen! We're trained to deal with the sick bastards from our city! Also I'm not gonna be alone, I'm going to meet some guys from a hu... Community of... Huuu... Super heroes... Lovers..." She sounded as if she was making stuff up, but her partner was still believing her.

"You like super heroes? I didn't knew!" He said with a raised brow.

"W-well yeah! We're gonna read some comic books and other geeky stuff... Lotsa fun... But anyway, If it shut your mouth we're going to get drunk at my place when I get back, and maybe have some "quality time" togheter, so?" She had a cheeky grin while her partner was completely red on his face and shyly silent, teasing him was her favourite pastime and boy if she had fun!

They drove off laughing merrily, the sun just got out from the clouds and a nice weekend for Jane was looming on the horizon.

-Now- Somewhere near the Lake Huron.

The scenery besides the road was amazing for Jane, she was driving on a rented chev on a road that coasted the lake and passed through a meadow, the place that Shifter-gal told her was nearby and she was so glad to finally meet someone with super-powers like her. A bus was several feet ahead of her but was catching speed while Jane was more focused on the scenery.

But her trail of thoughts met a sudden end when the bus exploded for seemingly no reason, but she had enoug time to hit the brakes and avoid the debris, but the pavement was so slippery that she ended outside the road.

She was unscathed and her car just had a dent on the chassis after punching a hole on the guard rails (that's 50 bucks of fine for you) and the first thing she did after the car came to a full stop was to get out and take her phone for 911. But she catched a glimpse of something hoovering away from the crash, some kind of shadow that had the vague shape of a man. Part of her wanted to follow the shade but the other part wanted to look for the survivors and call 911, the dilemma was quickly resolved for her when a girl walked on the scene. The shadow landed nearby and looked like the girl tried to touch the ghostly being.

"Hey! Someone called 911? W-what happens here?" Those questions sounded stupid to Jane but after reaching the girl and the ghost she had a better question.

Riley saw the woman. She froze.

The blurry person... she should take him somewhere safe... but no. She needed to run.

So Riley turned and ran into the river, submerging completely. The water couldn't possibly have been fourteen degrees - it was more like twelve! It wasn't cold enough to physically hurt, but any human being - aside from maybe a few professional swimmers - would go into cold shock, hyperventilating until death.

Riley separated some hydrogen from oxygen, turning the water into gas. She absorbed the energy, letting it flow to her brain, and all over her body.

So long as she kept making reactions, Riley didn't need to breathe. But the woman who'd seen her might.

Riley prayed the woman didn't enter the water. She didn't know if she'd be able to give the woman energy, the way she gave it to herself - and if she couldn't, and the woman entered, that woman would die.

"Wait, don't go!!" Yelled Jane at the girl, she instinctively ran after her, it was her trained "cop-sense" that told her that someone that run away from an accident might have something to do with it.

But the girl jumped in the water, "she must be crazy", thought Jane, the water was just a dozen of degrees above freezing point and no sensible human being would jump in without some kind of... Powers?

She had an idea, and she wanted at all costs to get answers, she took off her clothes until she was just in her underwear, took a deep breath and focused.

Membranes formed around her fingers, her skin turned into green scales, a tadpole's tail grew on her lower back and her eyes became lizard-like, she looked like something out of "Terror From The Deep".

Another deep breath and she jumped into the water and after swimming a little she finally found her, Jane motioned to follow her ashore, now the girl might run away but she would catch her anyway.

Riley floated there, just below the surface, shocked. Then she smiled. This woman had powers, just like her!

Riley came to the surface, ignoring the urge to breath. She swam to the shore with the woman.

"That... that guy. Something's up with him. I think he has powers... We only have a few minutes until an ambulance gets here, so whatever we do, it needs to be quick. I have some... domes, twenty feet down. I don't know if I could keep this guy alive that long... if you help me, we could try getting him to my apartment, so long as no one notices... Unless there's someplace better, where you're staying??

"I'm staying in a motel just outside the city... Give me one second... NNNGH!!" Jane barred her theeths and reverted back to normal, the process was clearly quite painful especially the tail part, but at the end she was a normal human agin.

”Alright kid, got a better idea... The police will come along the ambulance, but the city is far enough and we got time, if we make a run for it they're going to track your phone and put us on the suspects list." She said wile dressing up, her skin and her hair were still wet, it might draw some suspicion but she was good enough as a liar to come up with an excuse on the fly.

"Get in my car and stay there, while I..." She picked the ghostly boy and slung him on her shoulders, he was surprisingly light, probably something to do with his powers, she thought.

"I'll drop Casper on the backseats and make it look like he's asleep, gonna say he's narcoleptic or something, it happens more then you think, trust me." She sighed while dropping the boy on the backseat, she could hear the sirens blaring on the distance and she felt a bit anxious.

"By the way I'm Jane Williams, from DC. What's your name kid?" She asked to the girl.

Riley swallowed nervously. She shivered through her wet clothes.

"One minute..."

Riley focused. She'd only done this once before... there. The water on her clothes separated into oxygen and hydrogen, moving into the air. In a few minutes, the gases would join into water again, but they wouldn't be on Riley's clothes.

She got into the passenger seat of the car. Warning signs about stranger danger blared in her head, but Riley pushed them aside. Those warnings were made for normal kids. Not kids with weird powers, finding adults with weird powers too. And certainly not kids who could conjure a wall of diamond.

"Where... where are we going?" she asked, nervous nonetheless. "Wait... I guess this is the first official meeting of some Supers..." Riley felt her excitement from earlier that day return, in full force. "I guess we should get to safety before we talk about it, though. Are you staying in a hotel? We could go there. My dad probably won't notice if I'm gone for the night. Anyway, we should move. The police will be here any second. Don't want to be questioned."

((Dammit sorry for not posting))

Grey awoke to the sound of distant sirens and the hum of a car's motor. He was rather disoriented, yet managed to fade back into existence. He was in the backseat of a small Chevrolet. In the front two seats were the girl from earlier and another woman. She looked fairly average, but her hair was sopping wet.

Greyson felt a chill on his neck and he moved to cover it with his scarf, but it was absent. The recent events came flooding back. The sirens, to which he had paid little attention, now had a source, the police. He turned around and peered though the back window. Far flashes of red and blue light were visible.

Questions began to roll through his thoughts. "Who are these people?", "Where are we going?"

All at once Grey internalized that the others in the car could see and were probably asking similar questions about him. A panicked look washed over his face.

Riley realized that her question had already been answered - Jane was staying in a motel. She wondered how difficult it was for Jane to keep her or change her form. Hopefully, it wasn't painful.

heard movement. She turned around and saw that the boy looked more... solid.

Then she saw the panicked look on his face.

Riley smiled at him sweetly.

"Don't worry," she said, gently. "We're Supers too."
