I need dwarf knowledge. What they do, what they like, what boat do they sail on. I need answers.

Oh apologies, I was going to post in the interest check that we're full - but since we haven't got a dwarf I guess I can let an extra player in!

Theres a brief lore guide available, I'll see what I can dig up from my old RPs -

Tldr: Incredibly reclusive, Non-dwarves are not permitted in their city of Magruhdul (I think that's the spelling ill check lmao) but while they keep everyone at arms length - that doesn't stop them trading with literally everyone. It's all about the gold. They say rivers of gold run through their city, but no one has ever seen it.

Not really around much, a Dwarven ship arriving in a port is a source of gossip and excitement as they always bring valuables and magical artifacts. Big boats. They're the finest sailors around.

They have big trading contacts with the Church, Hollowvale and Hinokah (as well as a bunch of other places) and the tension between Hollowvale and the rest only serves to keep the gold flowing. Despite that they're too useful a resource to lose and everyone has trade deals with them, even though some would rather they didn't.

Nobody would think to attack a Dwarven ship. Suicide.

Understood. Do the ships use sails and wind or steam and propellors?

Understood. Will begin work on character when I am able.

Only advice I can really give is try to think why a Dwarf would get involved in events and adventures or whatever it is everyone will be doing - they're usually very uninvolved with everything!

Can be a outlier who does his/her own thing of course

Nobody has pockets as deep as the upper echelons of a kingdom, with the monarch at the top.

I think I had a lore point that the Dwarves are going through a serious population decline - due to isolationism and low birth rates - that could have devastating consequences over the next 100ish years. Plus nobody knows what exactly all the gold that's being funnelled into Magruhdul is actually *for*

Probably won't come up. Fun to think about.

Are they a self-sufficient nation? Like no imports to speak of and they produce all of their exports?
