Cassandra gave a small smile taking the flowers from him "Mmm alright then. Just us tonight? Send Joe off to train?" She said softly giving him a quick kiss

Max heard her phone got off and quickly picked up "Hey handsome, I'm doing good. Headache is starting to go away. Stay with them Serge, they need you. I'll be okay." She said softly

He frowned but nodded. “Alright but if you need me just call okay?” He promised. “Hey can you make sure you guys pick up some good drinks? Liam always insists on getting cheap coke. Bat your eyelashes. He won’t say no to you.” He chuckled quietly. “Love you.” He murmured.

He nodded and kissed her gently before going to let Joe know he would be working downstairs tonight. “Don’t come out til I come get you.” He told him seriously giving him a knowing look before going back to Cassanda

Carmen came to laid out on the bed in the hotel room, feowning a little and looking around. “Danny… I feel kinda weird.” She told him seeing them all sat watching tv

Max laughed lightly but nodded some "I promise." She murmured before saying her goodbyes to him.

Danny frowned when he heard Carmen turning towards her "Hey....whats wrong?" He asked quietly moving to be by her side "What does it feel like?"

Joseph looked over at Jamie and gave a small nod before standing up "One of them is dead....didn't make it through training. I'll get replacement after I dispose of him." He muttered

Jamie frowned and shook his head. “Tomorrow. Joseph get in the damn basement and stay there!” He snarled at him. “We will fix this tomorrow.” He promised and went back up to Cassandra smiling some. “Now where we’re we darling?” He purred, going towards her on their bed

She frowned and shook her head going quiet and just staring at the ceiling, her breathing getting worse from all the moving they’d done with her since the initial injury it just wasn’t healing.

Cassandra smirked softly at him giving a kiss "Your heart is racing darling...why is that?" She asked placing a hand to his chest "Are you worried? I told you everything will be fine." She murmured

Danny frowned more and quickly lifted her shirt seeing the wound "Fuck! Get my things Charlie!" He yelled undressing the wound and trying to get the infection down.

He smiled and pushed her to lay down. “Just thinking love…. About life. And our future…. About how far I would have gone with you if you had just stayed with me.” He told her quietly as his hand had moved to be at the side of her neck and in a flash had sliced the artery. “I’m so sorry. But I can’t do this anymore.” He told her, pinning her hands down at her sides. He knew the two of them had nothing in their future. But if he could get his brother back to his mate they had a chance.

Serge jumped up and went to help them until danny told him to get out of the way and he just called max back “hey, can you guys add a load more first aid shot to the order?” He asked her. “We’re gonna start running out here soon.”

Cassandra tried to get at him but when he pinned her down she was helpless. She looked up at him with broken eyes as her blood poured out unable to talk as she started to choke. It was merely minutes later before she layed limp beneath him.

Danny frowned when he got to work on her going wide eyed as she started to seize up "Shit! Shit! Shit!" He yelled trying to get her on her side. He took deep breaths as she subsided but went wide eyed when her breathing was barely there "Charlie call that fucker up now!" He yelled before starting on CPR

He frowned and let out a choked sob before kissing her head one more time and got up to go get Joseph. He could come back and deal with this later. He answered his phone when it rang. “Hey, hey I know I’m going fast as I can… text me the hotel address.” He told them getting into the basement and looking over at Joseph “Hey! Get up. I’m taking you somewhere. Quick.” He told him, nodding towards the cars.

She was in and out for the next couple hours once she was stable until Charlie was outside for a smoke and looked up seeing Jamie’s car pull up and he waved to Joseph grinning.I have never been happier to see your face. Jamie…. Thank you.” He told him and helped his best friends inside.

Joseph frowned as Jamie burst into the door "Huh? Jamie? What the fuck is going on?" He muttered as he followed him out. He grunted softly as they got out starting to feel imense pain through him "Carmen...Where is she?" He asked but got no answer. As they finally arrived to the hotel he went to Charlie and hugged him "Where is she? I can feel her slipping.." he said worriedly to his friend only caring about his mate at this point

Serge called her one more time once he saw Joseph walk in, this time stepping out onto the balcony and sitting down. “Hey, he’s home.,., we got him… we’re gonna be home tomorrow I think… get some rest okay? I know you said you were feeling better but… I worry about you.” He told her

She came around again to voices getting louder in the room and looked up, managing a look of relief when she saw Joseph’s face, frowning though at the fear on his face. “It’s okay.” She slurred.

Max smiled softly at Serge's voice "Thats good,I'm glad you guys got him. We are on the way home now." She said softly before yawning "I know, I'll rest once I get home." She murmured

Joseph rushed into the room looking at Carmen worriedly. He could barely feel her and it was scaring him to say the least. He smiled widely with tears in his eyes as he heard her voice "Carmen.." he whispered before climbing onto the bed next to her.

She leaned into him. “You’re… youre… Joe..” she couldn’t get the words out and just started breathing a little hitched again, scrunching her face up in pain and leaned into him more.

He smiled and sighed a little. “Wish I was there love. Text me once you guys are finished. Then I’ll go to bed.” He murmured to her, blowing a kiss down the line

Joseph gave a small nod and smiled happily at her "Yeah....yeah its me." He said quietly holding her close to him "You're so cold, you need a blanket." He said quietly pulling the comforter over her and shifting nuzzling at her some.

Max smiled softly and nodded "I promise I'll call you." She said quietly before sending a kiss down the line as well

She shook her head and tugged on him. “No … no… I want you … body.” She slurred starting to fade out again while danny moved a little closer to try and help her.

Serge was already asleep when the phone rang again but soon woke up and answered yawning. “Salut!” He yawned bigger. “You make it back to bed?”

Joe gave a small nod and shifted back just continuing to keep her close "I'm here beautiful. I'm here." He said quietly before letting Danny look her over

Max called Serge as soon as she got back smiling some "Mhmm yeah I did. You'll be tomorrow right?" She said quietly

He frowned and lifted the bandage, letting Joseph see the damage. “I don’t know that she’s gonna see the morning.” He told him seriously. “But we’re gonna try okay?” He told him frowning.

He frowned some “yeah… yeah I will definitely. The others might be a little longer… Charlie has gone back to the council with her mate to discuss the follow up from this and Joe is… I don’t know if they can move her yet… Joe and Danny might be behind us.” He told her quietly. “Keep the bed warm.” He murmured smiling

Max smiled softly and gave a small nod "I will, I love you." She said quietly before hanging up the phone

Joseph took a shaky breath as he looked at the damage "I ...shit..." he muttered letting a few tears fall "This is all my fault."

He smiled a little and went back to sleep again just looking forward to seeing the one person who didn’t sign when he walked in a room.

He shrugged. “Kinda. But also no. Just… stay with her alright? If we need to be here a few extra days we will okay?” He promised him and left him to it once she was a little more stable again. Carmen woke up early in the morning to see Joseph wide awake and staring at her, just frowning some. “Have you slept?” She asked him quietly, nuzzling her face into his chest.

Joseph stayed awake the entire night. Unable to sleep scared if he would that this would be a dream. As she woke up he smiled softly glad to see her awake "No I....I thought I'd never see you again." He said truthfully as he held her close

Max woke up late that next morning groaning softly as she rubbed at her face. She missed Serge and was hoping he would be home sooner rather than later

She smiled tiredly and just inhaled his familiar smell. “Do you remember the past year at all?” She asked him quietly, frowning as she noted the painkillers were wearing off a little.

Serge walked into the house and said hi to everyone before going straight up to their room and smiled at max in bed “Hey there beautiful.” He murmured, going straight over to plop himself down next to her

Joe shook his head some "Only bits and pieces." He whispered nuzzling her head some "I remember...I remember hurting you." He whispered letting a few tears fall.

Max smiled widely when she saw Sege come into the room "Hello handsome!" She said happily before kissing all over his face "How are you?"

She frowned and shook her head. “It wasn’t really you… you stopped when you knew me.” She whispered. “Honey I… I wasn’t doing… good anyway.” She panted leaning into his warmth desperately.

Be smiled and pulled her to straddle his waist. “Mmm missed you. How’s your head,” he asked her as he gripped at her hips a little and kissed her gently. “I love you.”

Joseph pulled the blankets further around them and nodded some "But if I...if I had been stronger I could have stayed. I could have stayed with you."

Max smiled softly and kissed him gently "Its okay now, like nothing happened." She murmured before kissing him again "I love you too." She said softly between kisses

She frowned and just held onto him. “Oh.. Frenchie…. Has a mate.” She told him, playing with his fingers tiredly.

He smiled and held her a little tighter, “That is good… things will settle again now… my responsibility gets less again.” He smiled watching her.

Joe frowned some but gave a small nod "Good for him, not worried about that right now." He murmured as he stroked her face gently

Max nodded softly "I bet you're happy about that huh?" She murmured softly before rocking her hips against his "Well since you're here...why don't you lay back and let me take care of you yeah?"
