Looking to the head hit the desk and then floor the girl jumps to her feet to grab the head and kick it as has hard off through the same hole with some force given the amount of distance it gets. "I HAVE SHOW RESTRAINT! TACT! UNDER ******* STANDING! FOURTH TIME! FOURTH ******** TIME! EVEN GENIES ONLY GIVE THREE! GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC YOU HEADLESS ZOMBIELAND ****" ranting into the open air as her claws dig into what's left of the window frame.

What the hell was it with this desk, thats it now im ******** moving! shoving the chair roughly back she goes to the back corner instead and sitting down roughly with her bag, though keeping a keen eye on the window outside as if she practicing for a death glare quirk.

Paris

As one by one, each of the remaining students (with the exception of Lexi, MJ, and Leona) entered through the window, involuntary tears of mortal terror streamed down Paris's face, accompanied by a new round of silent sobs every time Alice lost it at someone new. Finally, as the climax of it all hit and Alice kicked Miles's fairly mutilated head across the classroom, Paris was completely overcome and just buried her face in her desk, covering her head and sobbing loudly.

The whole orphanage is going to get evicted on the first day, and worst of all, I'm going to get hurt and I didn't even do anything!

Lana was finding herself feeling something that she didn't feel often: Lucky. One by one, numerous imbeciles proved the sheer depths of their uselessness by coming through the window, breaking the window, throwing their severed limbs through the damn window. Basically, that window was suffering about twelve years worth of abuse, neglect, and general aggression all in the span of about five minutes. Lana was impressed, even she had doubted the levels of stupidity that she was dealing with. She chastised herself, remembering that no matter how stupid she could ever think someone was, they could always disappoint even more.

Edzan did what he could, trying to scold Emmy, Alice, and that idiot pale guy. Lana had watched with all three sets of fingers crossed that one of them would land them in even more hot water. No dice, Edzan had given them a stern talking to and sent them on their way. He gave Alice and Emmy the astute role of cleaning up the class later, and soon Alice went on another tangent explaining herself. Lana was prepared to tune out again and once more look towards the door. But then... the unrelenting aggression against that window continued with vengeance.

MJ showed up at some point, but her words to Edzan were completely overshadowed by the sound of something stupid slamming into a wall outside. The toon girl slid in the window afterwards talking about being late, Lana wondered if she'd managed to give herself a concussion with that stunt... she hoped so. She slumped on top of Alice's desk before sliding off, the agitation practically radiating off Alice with so much force that Lana could practically taste it. She wondered if this scenario would be enough to send her into some kind of violent frenzy that would get her expelled and put at least two other students in critical condition. Lana doubted it, Alice was better at holding back outward acts of violence than her appearance, personality, disposition and overall demeanor would imply.

But then Miles, the idiot that he was and always would be, lobs his own damned head through the same exact window in nearly the same exact spot. He was also yapping about making it on time, but didn't get far into his explanation before Alice grabbed him and pretty much soccer punted him through the same window again. Lana would give that kick a pretty decent eight out of ten, she could've aimed more for the teeth after all. Sending the head back through the same unfortunate window, Alice gave a brief exclamation of her agitation. Lana waited and watched with anticipation, hoping for a violent freak-out. Unfortunately for her, Alice merely switched seats to the unoccupied corner across from Lana.

"Aw..." Lana sighed as she found her dominance of the back of the room infringed upon.

She wasn't given much time to lament the loss of her monopoly, as a certain sound reached her eyes that immediately made her head tilt up. She knew that sound, the sound of someone crying was nothing knew to Lana. She hated that sound, it was like nails on a chalkboard to her. Leaning forward, she gripped the edges of her desk with her lower hands as she leaned forward and cast a glare across the classroom while looking for the source of that infernal- There! The little plant girl that Lana kept forgetting about was sobbing her eyes out, probably couldn't handle the stupidity of the window scenario. Whereas Alice reacted with anger, and Lana reacted with anticipation, Paris just had to react with tears of all things.

Gritting her teeth, Lana leaned forward and called to her from the rear of the room, "Stop crying, Paris... its annoying..."

Angry Edzan.png

Edzan sat behind his desk, watching the entire scene play out, from Alice's defence he didn't care about, to Minnie breaking through the window, Leona arriving at class, Mj bringing up his 20s uniform ( this provoked only a raised eyebrow from him ) and lastly Miles's head entering through the same window as everyone else before promptly being kicked like a field goal out again. It all was stacking up against him today, wasnt it?

Standing slowly and calmly he walked over to Paris and knelt down by her, calmly giving her directions to Yuri's office and guiding her out the door and returning behind his desk. His glowing eyes were barely concealed behind the shaded glasses now, as slight embers rose of his body into the air, at this point, Delta Force wasn't in its normal ghostly state, it was like another person in the room floating next to him giving off the hum of power as always but slightly louder, shifting in tone and pitch every now and then. He lifted his hand up to take off the glasses, his breathing heavy with rage as he set them aside Delta Force raised slightly higher in the air, reaching its clenched fist to its eyes and removing its Cross shades.

The lights flickered as the shades were removed as the room filled with a neon blue light, a deafening hum filled the ears of all in the classroom. It all happened in an instant, Delta Force moved at an immeasurable speed, every window in the room shattered at once, the lights above dimmed and brightened before exploding into glass and sparks as the blue ghost blasted around the room, it's body was a blur thar surrounded everyone in the room, filling their vision, as the sounds of breaking glass and sparks all instantly faded.

They were outside, in a training area of shorts, all in a single file line in front of the grimacing Edzan, looking down on all of them, casting a shadow of fury over the group of students that was staggering to say the least, and floating above them all, as if patrolling the sky was the manifestation of all that fury- Delta Force.

"I was going to introduce the class and its purpose inside before guiding you all here, but it has become evident to me that the majority of you lack the basic motor function to read the hand book of rules and regulations. It surprised me, to be honest, the amount of you that thought in any world coming In through the window would be acceptable."

As He spoke Delta Force floated around the group, eyeing down them all one by one, It would have sent them all to the infirmary if it was its rule, but Edzan managed to keep his anger in check to.have control of his quirk.. for now.

"I am not a man who is quick to anger. My quirk designates it so. But when I see five students, in a school for heroes no less, find a way to set themselves on my watch list before class has even started, is when I begin to be angry. Another childish display like this again and I will make sure that return to whatever school you came from within the hour."

The aura of fury slowly faded out as he turned and gestured to several stations for testing their Abilties, tablets with instructions accompanying each, with an obvious path to follow and an end point with a large open area.

"Now if we can get along with it without any more interruptions. Welcome to the Sakura high hero program, you've all been selected to join this program by your exemplary work in the exam and for showing the makings of a great hero."

He legitimately laughed at this part, more of a gruff and quick exhale, before he returned from reading the list in hand, he read off the regulations, it was a set of obvious rules that seemed like they were easy to follow, Edzan practically shouted the bit about hallway regulations, going so far as to read a foot note intended for teachers that simply said: "Entry by any other means will result in instant termination of student(s)" before continuing on for a moment when he finally grew tired of reading the list, tossing in the air where it was promptly torn to shreds by Delta Force.

"You can read all of that in your hand book. But now the bit that is important. I am Edzan Miller, you may refer to me as follows, Edzan, Mr. Miller, Miller Sensei, Edzan Sensei, Sensei, and... If you simply cannot restrain yourself... Delta Break.. As you may have assumed by the ghost floating by my shoulder at almost all times, I am also known as Delta Break: "The Fighting Spirit Hero" a bit of an over the top title of you ask me... Now, this is your homeroom class that I lead, my word is law while you are in this class, once you leave you may do what you wish but while under my sight you are to follow my rules, they are simple. Listen when I speak, when called upon speak clearly and concisely, usage of quirks are allowed so long as they do not disrupt the class, I didn't think this was one that needed to be added but, No entering via anything that is not the class room door."

He walked to the start of the course as he spoke to the group, Delta Force at the back of the herd ushering them along the path, making angry groaning noises at them every now and then.

"You all will run this course one at a time, it will test manu things, strength, speed, endurance and quirk potency. Among other things... The click starts when you cross that line. Begin at you leisure, and await further instructions at the end"

With that he walked away and watched from the large open area, However, Delta Force stayed behind, clearly watching over them to keep them all in check.

At some point during the transition, a serious of claws had been flashed out, whatever grip the ghost had placed on the girl obviously didn't count for such holds rarely preventing lashing out on instinct with their natural flexibility resulting in a series of gouges out of the area and ghost itself with a faint steaming from the claws themselves. Perhaps moving her in such a way while she was obviously in a barely restrained state was not the smartest of decisions, sure the damage might have been mostly superficial but painful never the least...but nothing compared to something else that was now right next to the teacher. A Scent so fouls his eyes would water, vision blur and struggle to breathe at the burning sensation...perhaps even a more violent emotion from the nauseous odor from all but the strongest of digestive fortitudes.

Glaring into the man far more serious this time as she notices a faint red line start to stain the white of his shirt with some confusion, she hadn't touched him had she? why was he cut? later for now giving this **** some more of her mind "I Don't care if your a teacher or student, I gave you the first one but any more touching me like that has its consequences....DO NOT TOUCH! get that into your head....the **** didnt you realize the first time i saw you looking in the damn files!" the look of fury and twitching of her clawed hand stopping suddenly as she starts taking several slow breaths as she attempts to calm down, it was overly clear to anyone at this point the more she was provoked the more her stability wavered and the 3rd attack had literally been the straw that broke it with that backlash...though at least she got it back under control, muttering something under her breath "You want people to enter through a door? how about you do not drag them around with ******** Casper as well kami damned hypocrite....So far all you've tried to lay down the law and make an ass of yourself in the process. Oh, and since your lacking the mental functions it seems? Orientation already handed out these damn books and covered that ****...Also that damn uniform fitting included Gym Clothes for this **** might have wanted to let us get on that. So yeah...Tell me the truth if you think you know it, lay down the law, if you're feeling brave...but please.....never try and pull bull****" the final words said with a lack of actual aggression and maybe even something approaching pleading before clicking her tongue as she stays standing up tall regardless of the fury and shadow, hair bristled in frustration at the day so far but the early lashing out had at least lowered her a little, and she actually said something a world that those others have rarely heard from her.

She had never bowed her head or knelt to anything and she wasn't about to start now, all she was seeing now is the same traits as the teachers from her old school...so shes standing up to it all the same. He wanted to send her back to school she came from? Yeah, good look with that ****, at least now we were getting to something to work off her frustration as she looked over from were she stood each of the stations...but she needed to cool down before that, so turns to walk away from the line and towards the locker rooms with a purpose in mind.

Emmy was totally stone-faced being yelled st by edzan “otay I will twy not to use the window anymore.” She said as she flew back to her seat. Minnie came crashing through the same window and some random head also flew through, at this point Emmy had began to shift into her wisdom form as she figured class would need a more intelligent form. But she was proven wrong by their teacher as she was grabbed by his ghost and dragged outside. She listened to her teachers speech and sleepily said “*yawn* but you just broke all the windows and lights bringing us out here.” As her wisdom form phased out and she returned to her energetic form since they where now outside.

The moment Edzan stood from his desk, Lana braced herself. She watched him send Paris away, silently grateful that she didn't have to waste any more time getting that child to shut up with the waterworks. But once she was gone and he returned to his desk, that was when he began radiating fury. Lowering herself a bit, Lana waited with baited breath for him to set his quirk loose upon someone. They both removed their sunglasses as the air began to ripple with energy, and soon that quirk came flying towards them. The light was so bright that Lana instinctively closed one eye while slamming all three of her hands over her cluster.

She kept her eyes closed only when the brightness and sounds of energy began fading. Blinking her human eye a bit, she pulled her hands away from her cluster only to find that she and the rest of the class were outside now. She glanced back to the school building, had she just blacked out? No, his Quirk was just really fast. Lana's frown returned as Edzan gave another brief lecture over the impropriety of their actions, then proceeded to get along to introducing himself. Lana gave a small smile at that, having feared that she'd have to speak in some manner to these ungrateful curs. Physical endeavors were far more her style, and she quickly glanced behind him to the course as he sped through the teacher orientation.

He gave a brief explanation of the course, highlighting how it was basically supposed to get an accurate read of their capabilities. The best part was that they'd go through it one at a time, meaning Lana wouldn't have to put up with any of her classmates during it. She glanced down to the starting line, so it was also timed on top of everything else. Her second pair of hands clasped together as she glanced back at Edzan. He finished up his speech and gave them the go ahead.

And then Alice started getting sassy.

Lana should've expected it, but Alice began her grouching and threatening. Of course, being who she was, she let loose a noxious odor that covered Edzan. Lana had enough experience with to pinch her nose shut with one hand and tilt her face away the moment she caught a whiff, it didn't help and soon her cluster of eyes twitched violently until Edzan left to stand off to the side and watch. Emmy also seemed willing to talk back like a child who doesn't know their place, so Lana tuned her out as well as she gave a few strides towards the starting line. She would've waited to go last, but the end of the course was suddenly looking a lot more peaceful than the beginning. And anything that wasn't saturated by the putrid stench of ignorance wafting around here was better by a mile.

Striding up to the starting line, she gave a few taps of her foot right in front of it before glancing over the obstacle course. Stretching out all six of her limbs, she planted her lower hands on the ground at her sides before taking off.

The course seemed standard enough, filled with all sorts of obstacles and training equipment. She fumbled a bit on the running portion, but her extra hands kept her upright long enough to reach her real bread and butter: jumping. She cleared it with little fanfare, folding her limbs and propelling herself before continuing to the next portion. There was a balancing section involving a bunch of flat headed poles needed to cross a pit. It was infuriating, but she resorted to crawling along them with all six of her limbs. Trying to do it on two feet would be next to impossible for her. A climbing rope section that she humored by actually taking hold of the rope. It was useless to her, as her legs and lower arms scaled the wall whilst letting the rope dangle in her grasp. Reaching the top, she tossed the rope back down before jumping off and continuing her way through.

After clearing the high jump, Lana found herself facing her absolute worst nightmare... a tightrope. It wasn't far, nor was the drop below even something one would consider dangerous, but from the very moment she started she was clinging to that rope with all six of her limbs. It took the longest of any of the other obstacles, and she didn't care one bit. After scooting across the rope, she was faced with a number of hanging weights she had to push out of the way. They weren't much faced with her strength, its just that the sheer number of them in her way slowed her pace again. After crossing the forest of weights and several other obstacles, she finally found herself at the ending.

Passing the finish line, she slowed down to a trot on four limbs until she came to a stop. Taking several breaths, she pulled her lower arms up and clasped her hands before turning in Edzan's direction.

Spotting him and training all of her eyes on him, she called out to him "I've finished Sir!" before stepping away from the finish line "The task is... Completed..."

Paris

It was a good thing that Edzan dismissed Paris before anything else happened. The lashing out of Delta Force upon the classroom would've definitely put her over the edge into a full out panic attack, but luckily she didn't have to see that.

Now, Paris was walking down the hall alone, her footsteps echoing in the hallway. She knocked on the door that Edzan told her to go to, just staring down at her shoes and trying to wipe her tears away.

Paris.... oh Paris.... The first class hasn't even started yet and you can't handle the stress...

And so, Paris stood at the door, waiting, shaking piteously.

The faint clicking of a keyboard could be heard through the office door, but they abruptly stopped when Paris knocked. The first day hadn't even been going on long enough for the students to be considered present, Yuri was surprised to already have a visitor. Regardless, there was a soft grunt from behind the door, followed by a thud and shuffling before it opened. Standing there, a little unceremoniously, was Yuri. Sweatpants and a t-shirt, the bruise dancing across visible flesh, her face was soft. "Hi, Paris. Come on in." The sound of rainfall was playing softly from some point in the room, a scented candle was sitting a little close to some books, but it should be fine. It was even a little warmer in the room than the rest of the building, not uncomfortably warm, but the type of warm that makes you feel safe. Yuri closed the door once Paris entered, and the first session of the year officially began.

Once Paris was seated on the larger couch, and hopefully comfortable, Yuri sat down on the smaller couch opposite. More, flopping down, and immediately regretting it as a low grown escaped her throat. "Advice for the future, look out for lighting. It...it always sucks." She took a moment to adjust before she looked at Paris. The girl was obviously overwhelmed, the only question was if it was her classmates or Edzan. Yuri had access to medical records, more specifically red flags in behavior and mental health, and she was more than aware of the few cases she saw in the hero course. A few just needed medication, others would need some hard work on both ends. Paris wasn't a red flag, but Yuri would be lying if she said she was surprised to see the girl here already. "So, what brings you to my little office?"

Leona knew it was gonna be bad when the room changed color. The haze of Delta Force, the same color from the exam filled her vision before suddenly they were outside. Her book no longer in hand, and Edzan's booming voice explaining what they were doing, she had to hope that Delta Force had the decency to bookmark her spot. But her attention was being stolen by Alice. Leona had grown up around her, these outbursts weren't really something she was surprised by, but damn. If anyone needed to chill it was her. And Emmy's little comment. "Yeah, but Delta Force is pure energy. I think, anyway, it would make sense. I'd guess it's easy for it to break glass," Leona added, turning to face the other girl. Wisdom mode wasn't always that wise, Edzan got a little angry with the way some of the class was acting and then boom, Delta reacted. Simple enough to understand. Sometimes quirks are hard to control. Anyway, they had a course to run, and surprisingly Lana was the first up to bat.

She struggled a bit with a few things, but overall seemed to do pretty well, so Leona decided to go next. Once Lana announced she was done, the niorette took her place at the start. And she was off, running down the straight stretch that started the course off, keeping her momentum up with the jump. It carried her over most of the way, her feet skidding on the ground, Leona let herself fall into a roll to avoid hurting her legs, popping back up a few seconds later. Balancing went well, but not as quickly. Leona had a slight fear of heights, and while these platforms were not anything she would get hurt by falling from, she felt further up than she truthfully was. Raising her hand to her mouth, she bit into the tip of her thumb, and made it through the rest of the platforms with a third leg, so to speak. When she felt herself losing balance, Leona would shoot out a thin of blood to regain it. Modern problems require modern solutions.

The rope climb was next, Leona scaling it fairly easily, that thin line of blood securing her waist to the rope in case she lost her footing, she made it to the top, threw the rope back, and jumped down the other side, landing with another roll. Learning to do that, by the way, was really hard. Of course, she was going to show off a little. Now, the tightrope. That thin blood rope hardened in Leona's palms, laying across both of them to provide balance, the girl carefully placing her feet on the rope, Leona began to cross. This section took her the longest so far, but she made it across without falling, and she continued. Hanging weights were next, and instead of liquefying that pole of blood, she kept it as it, knocking weights out of the way long enough for her to scoot by, mostly successful. One weight swung in just the right way to nail her right between the shoulder blades, forcing a small yelp from her lips, but she still made it through.

The last few obstacles were nothing, Leona finishing them as quickly as she finished the first ones, she passed the finish line, and immediately dropped, sitting down on the backs of her legs as she did her best to stretch the pain out of her back. Looking up though, she gave a small smile to Lana as the blood pole liquefied and disappeared under her fingernails. "You did good."

Paris

Paris, sort of zoned out, let Yuri guide her to the couch. It was a soft couch, she noted, as she began to take in her surroundings, and then she began to feel guilt. This room is too good for me. Yuri's time is too good for me. This whole school--

'What brings you to my little office?' Yuri asked, gently. A new set of tears flooded Paris's eyes, and she looked at the floor, dejectedly.

"Edzan-sensei sent me... M-my classmates kept breaking the rules one after another without even knowing them by entering through the window, and Edzan-sensei got mad, and Delta Force got mad and shut the window, and then someone else broke the window to enter through it, Alice got mad and started yelling at everybody, and she threw Emmy across the room, and then Miles's head entered through the window and Alice kicked it back out, and I didn't want to get caught up in a fight and get hurt, and I started panicking and Edzan-sensei just sent me right away..." Paris wrapped her arms around herself, letting out a shaky sigh. "I'm too much of a chicken for hero school. The first class has hardly even started and I can't handle it..."

Miles

Location: Obstacle Course
Miles' body ran off across the field attempting the near-impossible task of catching his own head. He retrieved his head from the thorn bush it had thankfully landed in and reattached it. Miles wasn't happy. That ***** Alice had nearly killed him, not to mention the effort he had to put into finding his head. He was going to be picking thorns out for days. He was pretty sure he had another concussion from that kick, and the doctors said he was supposed to avoid further head injuries. He had actually been looking forward to coming to this school. A lot of targets from his list were in this class. Lana who never left her room was finally an open target. The only non-orphans in the top ten Dante and Hunter were also in his class, ready for their karmic punishment. Speaking of the top ten, he had to find out why Emmy and Paris had got in it but not him. He'd fought the teacher too, albeit only for a few seconds. Probably would have won if it wasn't for the exam running out of time he reckoned. But Alice had just hit the top of his list. She was a difficult target, he knew. He wasn't sure she could feel fear... or empathy for that matter, and she already knew about him so that disqualified a lot of plans. He needed to do something special for her. He'd have to think about that.

He made his way to where the others had gathered and watched the other students taking the obstacle course closely. "1... 2... 3... Many... Many 1... Many 2... Many 3... 2 Many..." he counted the students under his breath. Like most things, Miles had his own way of counting. This task seemed to fit his talents well he reckoned. He had a good build, fast, strong and agile. He was used to climbing up trees and buildings too. This was his chance to show those teachers what they missed in the entrance exam.

He kneeled down and launched into a sprint. He tanked through most of the obstacles, most of them not able to throw him off balance due to his quirk. He ran right through tripwires, which sliced through him like cheese, but he just fluidly re-congealed on the other side. He might not have even noticed. The best way to describe trying to physically harm Miles was that it was like trying to melt ice in the antarctic. Sure you could liquidize it, but it would just solidify no different than before. He climbed over hurdles effortlessly without breaking pace. A lot of the obstacles he solved in... unorthodox ways. For the tightrope section, he dropped down, hanging onto the rope with his hands and pulling along with strength in a way reminiscent of a monkey.

It was the swinging pillar section he had trouble with. At first, he tried dashing through and got knocked off and had to restart. He was more built for splattering than absorbing force. The second time, however, he grabbed the first pillar and held it still with surprising brute strength and carefully edged around, repeating for the remaining pillars.

He quickly, and with a strange kind of grace known only to Miles completed the obstacle course. He seemed smug.

Lana had been correct, the end of the obstacle course was far more enjoyable than the front. A major factor in that was the lack of annoyances crowding around. In fact it was actually kind of empowering to see just how far away they were now, the distance was downright mystical. She'd been criticized for her refusal to interact with others before, but that was just because society as a whole wished to demonize the grandeur that was solitude. There were so many things she could focus on now without the presence of others to impede her. She could read a book, tend to the grass, or even just stand their silently as was her default state of being. Even doing absolutely nothing felt far more relaxing than having even one of her classmates near her.

Of course, completing the obstacle course first gave her a front row seat to seeing others complete it, which was a double edged sword for her. On one hand, the moment someone failed at literally anything, she had a perfect angle to commit such failure to memory for future enjoyment. On the other hand, she now had to watch as her classmates slowly but surely stole her solitude from her. Though they went one by one, time seemed to move far too fast for her as she quite quickly found her isolation ruined. It was depressing... such a beautiful emptiness... vandalized.

As the next girl went, Lana said a small word of prayer. She sent her peaceful solitude to the great beyond with silent grace, conducting its funeral rights just before Leona finished. The moment she arrived next to her, Lana's hopes were dashed as she immediately spoke to her. Lana ran through several outcomes at once, figuring which would be the best to follow at that very moment in time. She could say nothing, which was her usual response for most things. For most of her life that had been her de facto response, but she knew such ways wouldn't last long here. If even one of their Teachers had them do a group assignment, she was screwed. As their primitive ancestors did eons ago, Lana would adapt.

But... that didn't mean she couldn't respond with the minimum amount of speech necessary...right?

"Yes... I did..." she stated in response

Perfection.

Miles went to bat next, but honestly Lana couldn't even pay attention to his run of the obstacle course. The moment he started moving, all she could think about was Alice kicking his head out the window. Now THAT was far more entertaining than any Obstacle Course. Lana just stood there, smiling as the scene replayed over and over again in her head. The brief look of shock, the impact of her foot against him, the swish of air as he left the building towards an unknown fate. She actually had to put a hand to her mouth to keep herself from releasing a small laugh. It only could've gone better if it had happened in slow motion. Lucky for her... in the magical realm of the mind.... EVERYTHING could be in slow motion.

She barely even noticed him finish, instead letting that wonderful memory replay as she waited for the rest of the class to follow suit.

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan watched critically as each student made their way through the course, writing on a small leather-bound notebook every few obstacles they made it through, giving a quick nod of approval to the students that finished the course. First was Lana, she was quite resourceful with the... unique skillset she had been given, Edzan wrote down something or other about her jumping capabilities, it was long-winded and unnecessary like always. He frowned at the book and notes he had written and closed it with a quick thump, placing it into a pocket. Who was he even writing notes for? this was his class to teach, he'd remember what his students did or didn't do and he should be instructing them on the things they didn't excel at so they would improve, looking up to Lana he gave a quick "Well done Lana, We'll work on moving in a restricted playing field." before returning his attention to the course to watch Leona.

Edzan watched as Leona made her way through the course, using a line of blood like a guiding line, this gave her a slight boost in balance in here run, it was of average time, even with the small hiccup of being hit midway through improved by a rather quick finish line dash, but nicely executed- He also appreciated the rolls, which were much better than her risking falling over. Edzan's hand reflexively went to grab the notebook but stopped and returned to his side, nodding toward Leona with a thumbs up as she complimented Lana.
"Train balancing on your own more, without that handrail, alright?"

looking up to check on Delta Force he saw it rising up behind one of the students, its eyes flaming up and rather unsurprisingly to Edzan the student that seemed to have put it off was Alice... again, Edzan quickly sent it back into line with a twitch and flex of his arm, the tattoos of what looked like chains on his arms lighting up slightly, after Delta Force moved a few feet closer he knew exactly why it was angry, swiftly sending it away to blast the sent off of itself.

Rubbing his now glowing arms slightly he watched Miles go through the course, he didn't know much about Miles, mainly because he couldn't actually find a member of staff at the orphanage who had kept a record of his academic behaviors, but he knew he was a difficult one... This year seemed to be full of them, but he wanted to give them all a chance. He had let himself get angry earlier... what a stupid mistake for him to let get by, he never let such trivial things get past him- no matter. Edzan could relate to not having much guidance as a child, he'd experienced it first-hand in fact, So He was going to try his best to guide this group of kids. Returning his attention to Miles he saw him on the- No wait... He was done, Edzan raised his eyebrows and smirked, that was possibly a new record on the school's course, Edzan held the record previously but he couldn't just walk through things- Well, He would have held the record if the teacher didn't play favorites and let Gatekeeper just warp to the end and keep it as his time- what a farce. "Well done Miles, That may be a new record. I won't bring you any kind of reward of course but-" Delta Force flew down from behind a wall and set down two coolers and some cups before fading away. "I can offer you all some drinks to recuperate. nothing special, just water and lemonade, drink what you'd like, it won't be scored of course."

Emmy took her turn on the obstecle course. She prepared herself at the start of the course, growing her wings and stretching them. She took off from the ground and flew over the obstacle course, ducking under the higher bars and around some others. She completed the course in record time and smiled at edzan who gave her an unchanging stare behind his glasses. “Do it again and this time touch the course more then 4 times.” She huffed and flew back to the start of the course. She put her wings on standby and ran to the start, taking the monkey bars and swinging across, using her tail for balance which she grew for this occasion. She got across and began at the tripwires. She got down in the mud and used her tail to push her under the wires like a crocodile. On the other side came the tires. She jumped from one to another, this was the hardest part for her since she was too small to one foot after the other jump and had to jump her whole body to each tire. She makes it to the wall and pulls out her claws, climbing it without even looking at the rope and glides down from there to the end of the course. She bows to edzan and walks to the victory bench.

1570331945155.png Hunter was less interested in winning and more interested in training himself so he took the hardest routes while still wearing his weight suit. He didn't pay much attention to the others as he blew through the course as it was trying to be the best he could be instead of beating others. He soon arrived at the end of the course. (Open)

Lynn Katsura

A lot of things happened in the classroom pretty quickly. It was possible that all the events cut into Dante's response to her, or if he did she didn't have time to acknowledge it. She soon found herself outside with the rest of the class, standing near an obstacle course. She glanced down at the school uniform currently on her body and started to run toward the girl's locker room as the first person started to go through the course. When she got back in her gym uniform, a good chunk of the students had already ran through.

Seeing an opening for her turn, Lynn walked up to the starting position and did a quick stretching routine. Afterward, she crouched down like an Olympic runner ready to start. "Here we go." Lynn bolted down the ramp, keeping her arms back at an angle. She leaped at the end of the ramp and shot a burst of water from her palms, rocketing her over a couple of the first few platforms. She landed on a platform in the middle and launched herself to the end of the platform section.

During the balancing section she held her arms out to her sides and sprayed water downward to help her keep her balance and she quickly walked across. She navigated the rest of the course normally, pulling herself up the climbing rope and carefully navigating through the weight maze.

When she got to the end, she immediately grabbed one of the cups and filled it with water. She sat down beside Hunter and started to drink, replenishing some of her water supply. "How's class going?" she asked him after taking a big sip. It looked like things have calmed down a bit while she was changing.

1573436400143.png Hunter was taking a rare moment of rest when Lynn came by and sat next to him. He downed his water and turned to her. "It's alright, I'm just using the course to improve myself." He says trying to recall her name. "It's Lynn right?" He asks, countless swords in the ground behind him to train his quirks endurance as well as to make a back rest. "Do you want a backrest?" He offers politely. His social skills being subpar due to his childhood of training, he was trying to learn and adapt socially but it was taking a while. All he really knew was swords, martial arts, and training. Thankfully his quirk allowed him to train in typically inhumane ways others couldn't, allowing him to keep up with most physically based quirks; but if he slacked off he would take forever to catch up again and that's not something he was willing to do. "So what do you like to do during downtime?" He inquired.

It had been almost thirty minutes until Alice herself arrives once more for them changing room at least this time looking somewhat calmer, though albeit with a soft dripping still staining the ground in her wake having perhaps attempted to do so in a quite literal fashion as well if the damper look of her fur was anything to go by. The other primary difference was her efforts to actually change into the school's gym uniform in a sense, though it had clearly undergone some rudimentary customization with the shirt now more of a vest with torn arms flowing openly and pants resembling similarly fashioned shorts.

Staying mostly silent she heads up to the start of the testing line being one of the final students to clear through the course, scratching the starting line a few times with her clawed foot as her hands hang loosely to her side, leaning forward slightly as she awaits the starting signal for the course. On the signal, she seems to be falling forward instead of running and about to face plant into the ground until at the last second she kicks off the ground in a burst of pressure and vanishing somewhat once again at a vastly higher speed than the previous exam results, her face not really being in focus or exertion but instead almost blank and passive from the faint glimpse the teacher may catch. Her pace does not slow throughout the course, the balancing poles mostly being skipped with the one her foot touches shaking for a moment before falling downwards with a heavy splash into the bottom of the pit having pushed off it with sufficient force to dislodge the item from its mooring. Next was the wall, the faint blur piercing it with her claws and launching them upwards over the top without the need of the hanging rope and carrying on the arc of the leap to clear the high jump shortly after until her feet make contact with the tight rope, using the tension to leap once more ever onwards to shatter through the weights like simple windchimes though with a far less pleasant sound on the breeze.

The next obstacles did not fair much better at slowing the progress, the barbed wire crawl through what appeared to be a thicker mud bypassed instead with a slide underneath carrying her its length, the more bars as well skipping several with each swing through a bend within them from the force exerted, the hurdles cleared, and the final sprint with what appeared to be a heavy steel barrel of some sorts was instead finding the largest of the options impaled and carried across the final line without much effort, though the shaking of the ground when the weight was lowered with her stopping did give some indication to its actual weight, as well as the fact it being taller than her. If there had been any difficult the sheer speed of the dark blur had made it unlikely to be seen, the dust of her initial kick-off still finding its way to settle as she came to the end, somewhat unexpected given her previous interactions within the test or encounters with the orphans then again she preferred to train in peace without the usual annoyances or distractions she may find elsewhere. All in all the experience was not something new to her, the actual sense of it was not too dissimilar from what she and fashioned together in the Junkyard...just a little tamer...and with far less jagged parts, scrap and no weights being carried until the end, hers had been more fashioned after one of those game shows on the TV cranked up best she could since some of it was a space concern as much as material limitations, scrap launchers instead of dodgeballs for example. She was seeking to refine everything in the end, rather not letting a single area take precedent to find a sense of completion, that included even parts as minor as her neck, fingers, claws, jaw....well ok maybe last one wasn't as minor for her but still, while others were warm and cozy in their beds at that ******* orphanage she had been spending years putting in the work, even more since the event all those months ago....if she wasn't eating or sleeping she was working towards that goal of hers.

Then again this was likely to give them a baseline, and it wasn't like she felt guilty or anything for slicing the guys chest but she might as well put in the effort even if he was a being an ass, likely something to do with that Casper the ****bag ghost on a hunch. But for now, she just had to wait around for the next step of whatever he had in mind and keep an eye out for any more attacks incoming. Her eye slides to the side as she thinks it over, her fur bristling once more for a moment before it settles back down with some slow breathing...she just needed to get through this, hunker down and deal with it....like another form of training may be, as much as they tried to trigger her she needed to keep it in check and those memories down.

"Yep. That's me," Lynn replied, holding out her hand for Hunter to shake. "Your name is Hunter, right? I was watching the entrance exam and saw your name pop up. Good job, by the way." She smiled encouragingly. "Everyone here did an amazing job that day," she added, briefly glancing at the others.

"That's an interesting way to use a quirk," she thought, still smiling. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm fine," she replied, before Hunter asked her about what she liked to do during her downtime.

"I like to swim, read lifeguarding booklets, and keep up with basic first-aid and CPR. In the past I volunteered as a lifeguard at the local pool, probably won't be able to do that as much as I used to with the whole hero course thing. Um... I like hanging out and...basketball; basketball is my jam," she rambled, trying to list at least some of the things she liked to do.

1573831907027.png Hunter took her hand and shook it, nodding when she asked if she was correct with his name. "Thanks, I was able to learn from it thankfully so that's plus." He responds before nodding to her rejecting his offer, it didn't bother him. Hunter scratches his head as she mentions all of those sports. "I've never done any of those but they look fun." He comments, not realizing how unusual his statement was. "The closest to swimming I've done is standing under the waterfall at home for training. And I was trained by making my swords go through hoops... I was taught first aid and CPR since injuries are common at our house..." Especially when your parents favorite hobby is beating the shit out of each other when they spar... He thought but didn't say out loud...

Those kids and that window. Last year it seemed to be an issue too. "Alright, Paris, Edzan made the right choice sending you here. You're overwhelmed, but there's nothing wrong with that." Yuri readjusted in her seat, wincing as pain shot through her arm. "Most kids are overwhelmed their first day. I was. Adjusting to this type of environment takes time, and Paris, the very fact you were accepted is enough to show that you do belong here." She paused for a moment, looking at Paris hugging the pillow, the woman suddenly stood. Walking over to the bookcase on the far wall, she grabbed a picture frame and then sat down next to Paris. "Fear is part of being human. It's an important part too, fear helps us judge what we should and shouldn't do. There's no reason to be embarrassed by fear." Producing the picture, it was an old class photo. In the front, a younger Yuri who looked absolutely terrified. "I know you can handle this, and you'll be a great hero when you graduate. All you need to do, is take your time, if you need to take a break, take a break. Even you classmates who don't seem scared are scared. Don't worry."

Paris looked at the picture. In it, Yuri was much smaller and she looked much more incapable and afraid. Paris almost asked if it was really her, but she didn't want to be a bother. She stood up.

"Thank-you, Yuri-sensei... I... I guess I should go." She made it to the door and then turned around, as if she had something else to say. But then it appeared as though she forgot what it was. Sheepishly, the plant girl grinned.

"Thank-you." And then she left, closing the door quietly behind her.

Back at the classroom, Paris found it abandoned, all the windows smashed. Her shoulders sunk, but then she looked out the window and saw her classmates gathered out there. Joining them, she walked up to Edzan, attempting to keep her chin up, as if she wasn't completely humiliated that she had to take a break before class even began.

"I... I'm back now, Edzan-sensei. What are we doing?"

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan continued his observations of the students running through the course, each taking it on in a slightly different matter than the last, after they were through he'd nod and direct them to the water and lemonade. The Old Hero frowned as Alice broke part of the course, he couldn't tell if she was just being reckless or was trying to garner some form of attention by breaking a log- for whatever she had it didn't really matter, he mounting the log would prove easy for him, it just annoyed him slightly: the continuous disrespect of school property these students were showing- or at least their belief that'd it just fix itself. during stressful weeks of teaching or strenuous hero work Edzan- more Delta Force really would end up breaking some things and it'd come straight out of his paycheck.

Today was one of those days, but windows didn't cost all that much, at least in his budget range, but for these kids, most of which had no parents to speak of, they couldn't cover the cost of half a windowpane, let alone the repair bill of an obstacle course the school had used when Edzan was a child. But who knows, maybe none of them had thought that through... the possibility of their quirk breaking things or hurting people without their own knowledge... Edzan'd had to deal with that since his quirk developed and maybe he'd been expecting too much self-control from this group of young, some parentless kids.

He shook his head, he'd been zoning out thinking and hadn't noticed that almost all the students were finished, and one was even addressing him. It was Paris, His default frown lifted slightly, he was glad she'd been able to recuperate with Yuri, Turning to face here as Delta Force lifted the wooden pole from the muck with one hand in the background, taking his shaded glasses off and kneeling next to Paris he spoke in the calm tone from earlier.

"Glad to see you're doing well. You'll be running that course there. if it seems difficult that's because it's going to be- but push through and you'll find yourself on the other end in no time. Good luck and take all the time needed, time plays a part in your score but skill and precision"

Meanwhile, Delta Force tossed the wooden pole upward slightly before ax-kicking it down into the mud, recementing it in place. Edzan, turning to the rest of the group took out a small metallic oval from his picked and struggled to press the buttons on it for a minute, checking the instructions he nodded while mouthing the words to himself. pressing the buttons in order this time the oval began to float and project an image in the air in front of them, each student had their name listed in no particular order, each with a number and a star next to them. folding his glasses and placing them in a breast pocket he began his new 'speech' more of direct instructions.

"Your attention to the holo-board, Class, as you see here: all of your names are listed on my ranking: the 'Delta Ranking' I've named it... I know, I know- cut an old man some slack: the name seemed fitting. This 'Delta Ranking' determines how well you're doing in my class, behaving at the dorms under my watch, or doing outward work from SH. now these ranking points don't lack a meaning, Every 1000 points you garner... I will give you a 100 dollar allowance for the week, carryover of 50% each 1000 you rise will grant you an extra 100 to your allowance- opposite for decreasing, dropping 1000, lose 100."

Gesturing to the board all the students were currently set at 500, none had increased yet neither decreased. Edzan fished in his jacket pocket and took-out some seal cards, once unboxed the students were revealed to their personal DR cards. marked like so:
1574392193316.png

Every of........ Edzan's time. Never the less the envelops stated they had 60 dollars preloaded onto them and were prepped for use and were accepted almost everywhere

"Remember, This money is out of my pockets, to don't go complaining to the board of administrators if you get a budget increase late, alright? and don't lose them, making them isn't easy either."

With that the bell rang, Edzan nodded to the students that had finished and gave them to go to their next class- reminding them that their performance would be ranked on the DR after he reviewed their runs, and reminding them in a slightly harsher voice to enter through the door and not the window. as his students left Edzan gave the slightest smile, he had good hopes for this bunch, The year should be... interesting, He looked forward to it.

Paris thanked Edzan, and then looked over the course, finally making her way to the start line. She was feeling a bit self-conscious as Edzan was now talking to the other students, clearly wrapping up the class. While not horribly long, the course did look extremely challenging. Naturally Paris had absorbed several kinds of seeds this morning, each as her anxious mind brought up a different scenario she feared to find herself in. While she was nervous about making a fool of herself on the course, she was also excited to do the first real exercise of being a Sakura High hero student. Would her parents be proud?

Paris started, running the 100 meter sprint and then facing the 30 foot rock climbing wall that stood before her. She grew a few thin but strong vines from her hips and began to climb, using them (however awkwardly) as two more sets of limbs, securing them to other stones when she felt insecure. Once she got to the top, the vines were quite long (as she was unable to shrink them) so she disintegrated them, the vines turning into thin dust.

A set of monkey bars was next, hanging over that unfortunate, same 30 feet she had just climbed that now seemed so far away. Paris sighed, and then grew more vines that would secure her to the monkey bars as she crossed. Next was a fairly long jump to another platform, and if you missed your mark, you'd fall into a fairly gross looking tank of water. There wasn't much to hook a vine to, and there weren't any trees nearby (and even if there was, Paris didn't want to break the course), so Paris had no choice but to actually attempt to jump, which landed her in the gross water. She climbed out via a ladder on the side which put her back on top of the platform, wet and a little slimy. She hoped no one saw that.

Next was a tightrope onto a platform that had some stairs that let you back onto the ground level. Paris predictably secured herself with a waist vine, and when she fell (which she did, because Paris didn't have incredible balance), she found herself dangling above a pit of mud, this time. Lacking the arm and core strength to pull herself back up onto the rope, Paris ended up doing a literal vine swing by growing more vines from her hands, until she got to the other end and climbed back up onto the platform. It didn't look graceful.

After she finally got back onto the ground, Paris had a go at the section of swinging weights, accompanied with tennis ball throwing machines with spectacular aim. Paris took the lesser of two evils and got hit with several tennis balls, but didn't get hit by any weights. She finally made it to the end, more sticky than slimy now, and accepted her card from Edzan. What would be waiting for them in the next class?

The girl's eye passively goes up the board to check her time while showing little interest in the others or even her own position amount them, sure she had broken the odd item though the object of it was to pass over with speed to her...if this was real the entire course could be leveled for all she cared if she got to the target in time, as that would often be something that neither time nor money could replace.

Speaking of money, however, the girl's fur bristles and grip tightens at the mention of the point to cash exchange, gritting her teeth as a similar sensation as before starts to radiate off her. The incentive to be more being points and money, higher personal standing in the ranking, prestige...were they seriously try to turn them...into THOSE TYPES OF!....

The girl tries to keep her breathing under control as her head goes down and hand visually shaking for a moment, though the hand slowly raises up to the envelope and stares into it for several moments of silence not opening it. Then ever so slowly she brings her other hand to the envelope before glaring directly at Edzan and tearing it in two to let the parts fall softly to the ground, within her eyes showed a mixture of anger and her disdain for the very concept of the reward, either seeing it as an insult or perhaps something far deeper. She doesn't speak though, she turns to walk-off without a word, less she snaps again, just the slow heavy steps as she heads out. The entire DR just worked her up more, there was only one person she needed to surpass and she didn't need points for that.
