Lana Del' Rize
Location: Sakura High, Dorms ==> Class 1A
Interaction/Mention: PlusUltra FireMaiden One Mean Ghost Captain Lycanroc
The lounge filled, and the silence that Lana had enjoyed from the first arrivals gave way to her greatest foe known to date: Actual human communication.
Like a natural repellent, the more people talked the more Lana found herself unable to enjoy her book. It had started with that irritating pale guy riling up the others, and then Alice had the gal to indulge his useless drivel. Of course, that just had to be enough to set Leona off, and soon the interaction in the Lounge became grating. Lana forced her eyes back to her book, fully intent on keeping to herself until the time for class drew near. She soldiered on, finding where she left off with nary a sign as to her internal distaste.
Yes, she was at the part where the brain-dead Detective who was supposed to be highly praised for his intuition questioned the killer by yelling at him in gruff one-liners. The useless female lead who spent the majority of the story fawning over the possibly mentally-challenged detective was in her usual position: standing at her boy-toy's side while he repeatedly proved his sheer ineptitude. The unbelievably ridiculous mastermind of the massacre which occurred at the beginning of the book kept his mouth shut. Dressed up like some kind of backwards k-pop star, he merely smirked or nodded at the detective's increasingly enraged demands. Lana found his character the most annoying, simply due to how she was supposed to take him as a legitimate threat. At least the main character and his arm candy were believably stupid. This Mastermind was a wannabe teenager who apparently preached the wonders of anarchy despite admitting to failing out of high school. And yet she was supposed to believe that he'd set up a criminal empire, assassinated the majority of the local government, set up seventeen different over the top death traps, all while still being under the legal age to drive a damn car? Why did the last chapter establish the Detective went rogue to track him down when he still has full access to police surveillance systems? Why wasn't the Main Girl's boyfriend suspicious that she's been running off in the middle of the day with no explanation? Why was the detective so riled up in the presence of this pasty tween-aged joke of a character?
Lana calmly closed her book and decided that going to class early would solve all of her problems at once.
Rising from her chair, she slid her bookmark into her most recent page as she made her way to the door. As she made her way to her homeroom, she gave little attention to the students around her. Some may have been her classmates, some may have been in other classes, some may have gasped or openly stared at her due to her Quirk, others hid their reactions well. Lana paid them no mind, only grumbling internally as she heard the odd conversation hear and there. She was sure there were familiar faces here and there, many applicants she'd seen during the Exam.
Standing before the door to class, she gave it a once over before looking both left and right. Taking note of a small number of students entering other classrooms nearby, and the occasional one which would catch sight of her and immediately cover their mouth, Lana entered class 1A. She didn't know what to expect from a Hero Course Classroom, and upon entering she found any expectation to be null and void. It seemed just like a normal classroom, with the Teacher being the only one present besides her. She recognized him from after the Exam.
Against her usual decree, she figured she could start getting used to speaking now while there were few people around. Closing her eye, she moved along the front of the desks, pausing only when she drew near the Teacher. Without turning to look at him, she instead kept her gaze focused on the desks, "I'm present..."
Mission accomplished, Lana immediately turned and began quietly walking to the back of the desks. Finding the desk she found proportionally farthest away from the most other seats as possible, the one tucked in the far left corner, she grabbed hold of the desk's edges and scooted it back by approximately two centimeters. It was a small amount of distance that she'd placed between her desk and the rest... but she wanted it there. She'd already spoken to someone, it wasn't like she had to get used to people right away. She was going to get kicked out soon, anyway, so that was more than enough.
Setting her bag atop the desk, she stood behind it and just... stared down at it while closing her human eye in thought.
