“You’re wrong…” she said, looking for twigs for the man’s arms.

“It’s not so scary, any more, because I know it’s another side of you, and I think it’s probably very important for you to find one personality that meets in the middle so that you’re more comfortable around me. I’m not going to pretend like I understand how that works or if it’s even a realistic long-term goal, but of anybody I shouldn’t be afraid of you.” She put two twigs on each side of the small humanoid snow pile, and she immediately liked how it came out.

“I think a lot of vampires have the same sort of identity crisis..” she mused, looking at Luke.

“Especially vampires who were born into it, even at the top of society.” She shrugged.

“My parents are probably different around me than when they’re in court.” She added, reminded of their bimonthly visit at midnight on Sunday. She’d have to sit in her false room in a stupid dress and pretend like she’s like that all the time and that it’s her real room. Ugh.

“I have to be different around my parents, too.” She mused again.

He smiled and sat down in the snow, watching Antje add to the snow man. She was so cute, and so honest. ‘I’m not going to pretend like I understand’ he rethought in his mind. That stuck a cord in him. “I always seem to underestimate you Antje…” Luke whispered. “Its like every day you are teaching me something new. Every day you are showing me how much I still have to learn about people.” How selfish I use to be. He thought silently.

Luke looked up to the sky where he was sitting, his eyes catching the snowflakes falling from the sky. He closed his eyes and breath slowly, taking in Antje’s presence. Before he knew it, she was what he wanted to happen in his day. He felt more at peace within himself. She was the one blending his two sides into one even one.
‘Lukeifer’ he thought, that’s what she told him some time after his two sides started to come out with her. He smiled and let the snowflakes land on his face.

Antje smiled. "Thank you.." she sat down in the snow with him, not caring how soaked-through her jeans got or the fact that it was still pretty cold.

"I feel like if you stood naked in the snow nobody would be able to see you." she joked. Not that she was thinking about him naked or anything, but he was very white, like a snow leapord.

"Because nothing scares humans more than naked vampires." she grinned.

Luke opened his eyes and looked at Antje, he wide toothy smile crossed his lips. “Miss Antje, I did not know you thought about me that way.” He joked, leaning close to her. In truth it made him flush on the inside to think she really did think her him that way. He was not completely sure if Antje had the same feeling for him that he did with her. He tried to make her feel like he was just being a play boy, but in truth it has become more than him being a play boy with her. He was not sure if Lucifer would let him have a relationship with Antje.

Antje blushed. "Oh shush. It's like you're completely prepared for dropping innuendos, anytime, anywhere." she stuck out her tongue and caught a few snowflakes.

"I like snow." she smiled, peaceful, happy to be sitting with someone, in the snow, in the middle of the night, and not having to hide much of anything.

Standing up, Luke graved Antje’s arms and pulled her up as well. “We should head home. Not because it is getting light, but because your freezing yourself. The last thing I want is for you to get a cold. You have a party to attend with me.” He said, walking her the direction out of the park. “You should go home and get toasty. I am going to go home and get an early sleep.” He said. He really was tired and wanted to sleep some.

Antje almost pouted. "I can't hang out tomorrow night." she sighed, walking. She was cold. Good call. He seemed more Lucifer tonight, and she was a little disappointed that she wouldn't see him until Rick's party. "My parents are visiting tomorrow night, so I have to play boring, respectable Antje Anselm." she threw her German accent at her name. She didn't want to be her parent's perfect daughter all night tomorrow. She'd much rather paint stuff with Luke. He was starting to be very good at painting, and she liked the 'pictionary' element that she'd applied, like she would start something and let him finish the painting. He had a very antique painting style, with great texture and hues.

"So I guess I won't be able to see you until Rick's party... But I want you to stop by on Christmas eve because I have some presents for you." she smiled.

“Well,” He said with a smile, “If you need a place to run, my place is very much available.”

Turning around Luke started to walk away when he glanced back at Antje, “Be careful on your way home… and good luck with your parents.” He said giving her a small smile.
Good luck, he said again over their link as he walked away. Man he felt tired.

When he got home he wasn’t no time getting ready for bed and snacking on a bloody steak before laying down. He had to work again tomorrow anyway. Ricks party was on the weekend which was only a few days away. Maybe he should find a present for her too. Sighing he wondered what he should get her. Thinking about a really nice sketch book, he thought it would be a wonderful plan. Satisfied he closed his eyes a feel asleep.

Antje walked home slowly, even though it was cold, enjoying the chilly air and the snow falling around her. She reached her yard and she decided to further forgo going inside and mentally preparing for her stupid visit, by erecting a snowman in the yard, like the one Luke and her had made in the park. She wished she could have slept over again, but Tante was so very against that that it didn’t happen often. But she sometimes did feel safer with him in the same room, but she couldn’t convince him to just lay in the bed with her, despite his earlier sexual comments. She didn’t plan on having sex, and he wasn’t either, but the gentleman in him would always have him on the floor. She’d fallen asleep on the couch once, sort of on purpose so that he would sleep in his own bed, but she awoke to being in his bed.

His wish to be her guardian was very touching, and very sweet, but she sort of got the feeling that he needed to get past the two different sides of him before he could do that. She wondered what her parents would think. Would they be thrilled that one of the most powerful vampires in existence was her protective, quasi-boyfriend? Or would they be horrified that a rogue, powerful vampire wanted to be her guardian and master?

Maybe they would feel a mix of both. She wondered what Tante would say if she knew. Antje made a standard snowman, and for decoration she wrapped Luke’s scarf around it’s neck and found good twigs for its arms. The scarf barely smelled of Luke, so she felt it was safe to do that. Besides which, her parents weren’t very fond of snow art. Her mother didn’t think it was proper to play in the snow. Her father seemed to like it, but he’d probably never openly admit it. What else had she to do in the winter all night anyways? Before she was painting murals and vandalizing abandoned houses, that was sort of her pastime.

Antje fumbled as she jumped to the fire escape ladder, and she hit the ground and fell on her hip, which didn’t exactly feel wonderful. She tried again and her frozen fingers held onto the rungs and she got up and went in through her window, keeping her snowy boots on the top of the iron stairs.

(So I was thinking we’d relive the visit with her parents in little flashbacks when Antje’s attacked and running away, and we before the timeskip to the party timeskip to Christmas Eve for awk first kiss and then the party and the attack and stuff. :3 Sound good?)

(It took me like four re-reads to figure out what you were saying hahah xD . First Christmas Eve, awkward kiss, Party, attack? Yes? xD Okie well I will time skip to Christmas Eve xD )

A few days went by and Christmas Eve appeared faster then he thought. Tomorrow would be the Christmas party with Rick and Antje. The day before after his work ended, Luke went shopping for his two friends. Completed in his new snow gear, minus his scarf, Luke wondered through a few store looking for a perfect gift. He knew exactly what to get Rick, since Rick was talking about this book that just came out for ages, but college had taken up so much of his funds he just could not buy it himself. So Luke took the liberty and got the book.

While he was at the book store, he also went to go look for sketch books. He knew Antje had a billion sketch books because her parents and guardian provided them for her whenever she asked. Having second thought while staring at the books, Luke frowned. Should he find something else or just get the book? He thought about it longer. He stared at the books so long, someone has asked him if he needed help. He just politely declined and turned back to the books. Sighing he picked up two of the sketch books that had sliver sorrels on the cover over a black background. She was probably going to think they were lame, but he could not help it but think this is what he wanted to give her. Buying everything he went home and waited for the next night, which came rather fast.

The next evening, on Christmas Eve Luke waited by the park like usually. He has a feeling he might have to take her to his house so she did not freeze outside. He kind of wants the scarf back. He did not wrap her present because he never really did; he just liked to hand them to people. Or Rick anyway. Sitting down at the bench like usual, Luke assumed the ‘it’s cold outside’ human position.

Antje was excited to give him her gifts. She'd hoped he'd like them, but she was just as unsure as he was for buying presents. A man who had everything and just got up and left will probably have no use for presents.

She hadn't bought him a lot of expensive presents; most of them were made by her. She'd gotten him a necklace with a small bird trinket, which she also bought one for herself, except hers had a birdcage on it. Birds were free, just like him.

Cages..well. She'd also made him a few friendship bracelets, which sort of made her feel dumb.

Finally she'd splurged and bought him a few new shirts and some skinny jeans and a hoodie/jacket. She was always noticing how sometimes he seemed out of date with his clothes, and she meant no harm by that, just that it was a red flag to hunters. And she was sort of looking forward to seeing how his butt looked in skinnies.

Okay, so maybe she'd bought him too many presents, but Tante had given Antje all of Antje's presents to put under the tree. She'd made him a few mixed CDs, which she'd made when she were bored.

If you want your scarf back then you have to come over here, because I have other stuff I got for you. Antje purred through the link.

And so help you god if you bought me anything.. Nopenopenopenope. He was her present.

No, he hissed back through the link. Are you nuts? Why would I go leave me scent all over your house? Even if your caretaker isn’t there. You are asking a lot of me to come over there. He stood up from the park bench and sent her thoughts of messages arriving to the castle about his ware bouts and his sibling swarming here to come pick him up and drag him back. I won’t come Antje… You have to come to me.

Lucifer sighed and tried to run his hands thought his hair, but was stopped by his new stylish hat. Women seemed to flock to him more with the cute owl resting on his head now.
In less you have a grand master plan or something along those lines, I am staying here in the park. He thought to her after a moment. I want to see you, but I won’t go put myself into danger. Or you.

Antje was taken aback, trying not to take what he said personally. She looked around her room for a bag. Tante had allowed Antje permission to have him over, no questions asked, and A the was starting to REALLY become aware of how old Tante was getting, plus her broken sense of smell. She quietly showed him those things through the link, and then the small mass of presents for him under her small but wildly decorated tree, as well as the little snowman she'd affectionately named "L". But she could try and bring Christmas to him. Somehow.

Would you at least meet me halfway and stand by the fire escape so I don't die trying to go down the latter with a sackof stuff on my back like Santa?

Leaving the link open, Lucifer mulled over the possibility of going over there. If her caretaker really couldn’t smell it might be fine. After being away from the castle for so long his smell couldn’t really be compared with the rest of the family. He would have to have his own blood smelled. Maybe as long as he touched minimal things it would be ok. Ok… I will come for a little bit. But I don’t want to stay long.

After he closed the link a small part of Lucifer was reeling at a possibility of a trap. Falling images she had sent him to lead him to her house, he glided through the neighborhoods effortlessly. When he arrived to the building he cautiously looked around and smelt the area. Nothing with here, he thought to himself. Just Antje, her parent’s old scent and one male vampire… must be the caretaker, also slightly old. Straightening himself a bit her jumped onto the fire escape and then looked around again. Oh man was he feeling like a pray stepping out of the underbrush for the first time.

Antje smiled wide and opened the window.

"Merry Christmas!" she grinned. She opened the window wider to help get him in. She wasn't used to having anyone else come in. She turned the lights a little lower, so as not to hurt his eyes. The tree was lit and she had cookies and an ugly bottle of blood she had yet to even make a dent in, and she had all her presents with his under the tree. She wondered if he had ever celebrated Christmas.

"Thank you for showing up." she smiled. He seemed really wary. Why would she ever do anything like that to him? Whatever it was he was thinking that she'd do to him.

He ga ve her a small smile as he stepped into her room. Quickly he took in the scent and surroundings. “Merry Christmas.” He replied back to her, turning his gaze back to her. He took a stiff seat in the middle of the floor. “I did get you something, but it is rather lame, so I have no idea if you even want it.”He said as he looked around her room some more.

Antje looked down, wishing she could fix his Lucifer mood. But she understood why; he'd told her through their link, but she felt bad about how uncomfortable he clearly was, and she was sort of hurt that he might think she were setting up a trap. She would never intentionally hurt him.

"You didn't need to get me anything, Luke." she smiled, trying to recover the moment. She felt really happy and gushy just that he were there with her. She blushed a bit. "You were my Christmas present this year..." she said softly. "You can sit on my bed if you'd like..." she mumbled, embarrassed that she'd told him that. Her bed was closest to the tree, and she'd even made her bed for him. She'd sat down on her bed already. Her room was probably like being in a gas chamber of her weird scent. Especially with signs of her changing more, because instead of bottling up her hormones like a human, they started to find outlets and charge the room with pheremones that would soon be able to attract prey with the intoxicating smell.

The only real thing she was worried about was her noticing her eyes taking on the same red hue/flecks as a normal vampire. But she didn't want to worry tonight.

Luke blushed a bit on the inside when she said that. Luke was starting to feel every need to be more then friends with her every day; Lucifer was still having none of that though. “I am sorry I yelled earlier. I am just cautious… you know I am cautious. But yeah… Here I got this for you.” He said, handing her the two sketch books. He refused to move from the spot on the floor. Luke was slowly winning over the want to join her on the bed.

Antje looked at the sketchpads like they were the best present she'd ever gotten. Tante always had her pick her own presents out online. It was sweet that he thought of her. "I said you weren't supposed to get me anythiiiiiiing!" she was to happy, beyond how she probably should have felt about the sketch pads, but as long as they came attached to him, she'd be all set. "Thank you." she gushed.

"Pick which present you wanna open first!" she grinned. She mentally really hoped he went to the big-ass bag with loads of tissue, hiding inside the bird necklace and the birdcage necklace. She'd bought another necklace of the bird to wear with the cage, and she hoped he didn't think she was fishing for compliments with the cage, but it was appropriate.

(oooh mind controlly time? But not quite idk)

“Yeah sure…” he said a bit. Things were starting to get fuzzy for him. He was not only feeling fuzzy, but he was feeling very hungry too. Everywhere and everything in the room was getting fuzzy. Opening one of the presents for some reason he could not move very well. “Antje?” He asked quietly. He was starting to feel the sick of the hunger, it was ripping at his gut. He was starting to not understand his surroundings. Slowly he started to unwrap the other presents; he smiled at them and at her. The smell around him was wonderful. He felt drunk; like that one time he accidentally drank blood with alcohol in it. Slowly taking the stuff with him he got up and sat next to Antje on the bed. He was unsure of what he should to next, he just knew he was going to do what Antje wanted him to do.

Antje looked concerned. "A-are you okay, Luke?" she put her hand on his back, a little nervous.

Even though he felt drunkish, his movements were very gingerly. She tried to figure it out. His aura was shifting, too. Going from light to dark. The only thing she could surmise was maybe it was her scent. It seemed to be separating,(and blending). The shifting she realized was the darkness from Lucifer the powerful vampire to Luke, the sweet, quiet man.

She tried to open up their link, to see what might be wrong. She put her hand on his forehead as if checking for a fever.

She was surprised that he pulled the tissue out of the bag. On the bottom were the small, black little bird necklaces.

Luke put the stuff aside and pushed Antje to her back after she touched him on the forehead. The link between them opened as wide as it has even between them. Everything he was feeling was transferring to her. All the fuzzy feeling and the confusion on what was happening to him. He was barely able to grasp any thought. He leaned closer to her, at first he was going to kiss her, but something in his mind reared him to stop. He was feeling extremely out of control; nothing was his own right now. Why… can’t I think… straight. He said through his mind.

Antje was startled at such a random, bold move. The link was ridiculously opened, and she couldn't think of why he felt like this. She felt his emotions. He was thirsty. She smelled good. He wanted to kiss her, so very bad, but darker things were trying to protest.

The only thing she could think to do was to hug him, wrapping her arms around him, to try and soothe him.

I-I don't know what to do to help you...

When she spoke in his mind he felt a moment of clarity. I need to leave… take me outside. He tried to convey through the link. He could not tell if he was telling her what he needed. He was not sure what he was doing at all. Leaning closer Luke finally pressed his lips on hers, at first his lips pressed on hers softly on hers, but then he pressed harder. He was hungry and she is here right under him.

Antje awkwardly kissed him, confused. It would be kind of really hard to get him outside with their lips locked. His kiss seemed really urgent, like it was coming from someone else.

What's going on? You're scaring me... She was a little bummed that she couldn't revel a little in her first kiss, but he was making her anxious. What was he doing? Why was he acting so strange? He was shifting. And it almost created, like, static in the link.
