When Luke started to feel Anxiety come through the think he immediately sat up. He had this moment to clarity, he needed to get out. Jumping off the bed, Luke ran straight to the window and jumped over the railing. Standing outside in the middle of the road, Luke breathed deep taking in the fresh air. His world was still fuzzy, he wanted to go back, but he forced himself to stay put. Hunching over, Lucifer covered his face with his hands and took in his own scent.

Antje got up and stood on the top part of the fire escape, wondering if he'd left for good or something. She wanted him to come back, she wanted to make sure he was okay. She wanted to know what she did wrong. She was really embarrassed that she'd enjoyed his kisses, but she was more worried for him.

"What did I do? I'm sorry! Are you okay?" she could definitely see stirring and shifting, flickering from light to dark to medium.

“I am fine.” He said shortly. Getting more gulps of fresh air he snapped the link shut and sat in the snow. He was beginning to regain thought. So he started to concentrate on one thought only. So he started to recite the Alphabet. After a few long moments he was starting to feel clearer. “I think you just used your ability to put your prey in a trance so you can feed. Your room is covered with the smell.”

Standing up Lucifer brushed his hands through his hair. “I’ll be honest I am not sure why it would entice me to want to feed on you.”
She could have told me to go jump off a bridge and I would have done it. He thought to himself. He was kind of freaked out, being so obedient without a single word or thought of his own. So that’s what it felt like to be under his trance. Did the Magic send a vampire with no sense of smell for a reason?

“I am fine now… Jump down, I’ll catch you. We can go to the park for a bit. I just can’t go back in that room.”

Antje blinked. "You think I did that on purpose." she grabbed her shoes, easier to put on than her boots, and she put on a jet-black hoodie that was warm enough that she didn't have to go downstairs to get her winter jacket. She walked the

narrow steps down. If Lucifer didn't trust her, she wouldn't trust him as much, maybe show him what it feels like. Because it felt pretty awful. She wasn't thirsty. She couldn't possibly have done that on purpose. The only idea she got was the rising buildup of vampiric symptoms that were starting to show. She was hitting puberty, in a sense. She doubted he'd believe her.

"I didn't do it intentionally." she started, jumping from the ladder into the snow. She waited for his probable angryish response, trying to make eye contact. Maybe he'd see the little swirls of red in them. But that would scare him.

"....They said I'm changing... Not a lot. But still changing."

“Antje, I did not say you did that on purpose.” He said graving her so was looking back at her. He studied her, her face and eyes. Her sent was still enticing, but not as crazy as her room was. She lived there most the time, so it only made sense that that was where her scent was strongest. “You don’t even know what you are past the word Damphire. Why would I think you did that on purpose?”

“I remember you told me a few nights ago, about your body fighting itself and growing slowly.” He brought her into a hug, “Also I am sorry about scarring you. I did not mean to kiss you like that, whatever happened, it was because of the smell that made me go into a trance state. I am sorry…” he thought maybe he should leave. Lucifer has pretty much gone into hiding.

Antje looked down.

"I'm sorry. You just seemed mad for a minute." she sighed. She smiled. "I can fabreeze my room." she said, half wishing he didn't get sick in her room. But that probably would never work. Maybe he had to get used to her smell. He probably didn't want any of her presents. She could tell he wanted to leave, and that sort of hurt a little. Worse was he was in a "trance-like state". The kiss wasn't real. Disqualified. Pass go. Do not collect $200, go to jail.

Sighing he looked up, he really upset Antje. “I am sorry… I’ll make it up to you later.” He said, he felt really bad because she was making a really depressed face. “After the party tomorrow, I’ll take you out. I saw this museum that’s having a special showing during Christmas.” He sighed again, he didn’t think she was buying it. “Look, I am going to leave now… I really messed up and I am sorry. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Giving her one last hug, Luke turned around and walked away. Quickly he paused and then turned around and looked at her, “Don’t forget to bring me my presents tomorrow.” Then he walked home.

The morning before the party, Luke could not get himself to sleep. He felt so distraught and conflicted about everything that happened. He did not want to kiss her like that, Lucifer did not want to kiss her at all, well maybe a little. Just a little? Ok maybe a lot. Gah, why was she driving nuts like this? Kiss aside, tomorrow would be the day that she give her answer wither she will take him up for that guardian position.

When the night finally came Luke sucked up everything and turned up at Rick’s place. He spoke to his friend for a few minutes before he watched him get swept away by a few of his college friends. Just as Luke knew would happen, a few women flocked to Luke right off the bat. Shooing most of them away, he just waiting outside for Antje.

Antje looked nice; she had on a tank top with a cardigan with leggings and some casual dress flats. She walked through the park, past the store, down a few sidestreets, onto the campus and to Rick's apartment. She had put most of Lucifer's gifts into a big bag so she could carry them all. She wore all three necklaces, but she intended to give him the second bird necklace. When she caught sight of him her stomach became butterflies, even though he'd made a mistake. He was still her friend, though. She'd remembered that he was expecting an answer, and even though she would agree, she was worried if he wouldn't want to anymore because of what happened. She clearly had cooties or something for him to leave in such a hurry.

She smiled when he noticed that she was there; the light frown on his face certainly softened, she was sure of that.

“Antje.” He greeted. He took the bag from her and smiled, “thank you Miss Antje, I knew I could count on you.” He said with a smile. Honestly his gut kind of twisted and he was feeling a bit awkward. “There is already a bunch of drunk people here… I can smell them from out here. But we might as well go in for a few hours for Rick’s sake, then we can blow this joint. Sound good?” He asked while pulling her into the apartment.

The party was loud and to Luke it smelt horrible, body odor, perfume, alcohol. Antje standing next to him made the smell more bearable. First he took Antje to Rick, so she could say hi to him. After that was out of the way Luke took her to go dance a bit. There was no end to the amount of drunken women that started to flock to him as the night went on. “This is an annoyance.” He hissed to Antje. I wouldn’t feed on these women even if his life was threatened. Although he was getting extremely annoyed, he did not once say anything mean to any of them that approached him. After a little bit he ended up losing Antje in the crowd.
Are you ok? I lost you and I can’t find you. He said between them.

Antje had found herself nearly crushed by a group of college couples dancing. A few guys near the opposite corner of the room stared at her. Just stared. She was creeped out a little, because they were nonchalantly studying her. The shitty pop music was too loud, the smell of awful perfume, rising blood alcohol level, B.O and being pushed and jostled by other people made her want to jump off a bridge. She'd recognized some bullies from school, which set her off, especially when they made their way to Lucifer like he were a freaking beacon.

She needed air. She couldn't reply with all those distractions. She tried to find the front door to go and get some air, but instead she found a back door out into a vacant parking lot. It was quiet and there was fresh air.

She closed the door behind her and she found a small handrail that she perched on, trying to collect her thoughts.

Lucifer? Sorry for not replying immediately. I got pushed out by a big group of people. And I saw some people I..uh, know, from school. She couldn't help but explain by showing her recent misadventures in the bathroom, being screamed at and punched and having her hair pulled. She hoped they didn't see him. Or see her.

I tried to find the front door, but I found the back porch door thing. There's waaay too many people in there. Try to find me, so I'm not lost forever in the groups of horny, annoying-

She was distracted by footsteps, and she saw the tall, punky, goth boy who'd been practicing his laser vision on her earlier. He had chains dangling from his pants and large doc martens. He had black, horrifically spikey hair, and for the first time she noticed he had reddish eyes, like Tante. A changeling. What did he want? Go away. She wanted Lucifer to show up, not this stupid punk.

"Hello there." he said smoothly. Oh Christ if he thought he was trying to smolder her into something. She immediately got the sense of being prey.

"...Hi." she said briskly. She had a terrible time multitasking when trying to use the link. She wanted the boy to go away so she could focus. She made eye contact, trying to spirit him away with her glare.

Lucifer was kind of infuriated with every image she showed him of being bullied. He wished she had the strength of a vampire so she could defend herself. He hoped for the sake of those girls he didn’t see them. He could drink every last bit of blood and make them husks. Or maybe spare their lives and make them his slaves, in turn Antje’s slaves. She wouldn’t approve of that, but he could imagine.

When the link suddenly cut off he hissed in frustration, which made a few of the girls back off away from him.
Antje? He asked with a sigh. Are you there? A little help in your location would be nice. Wondering around the room he tried to find the exit she was talking about.

"What's your name, Beautiful?" oh god no. Now she was being appraised like a doll. "I don't have one." she murmured, her quiet voice holding an edge. Her energy was trying to react, instead of her emotions and human hormones doing so. A weird difference, and she immediately decided she wanted to stop changing.

"Don't be like that.." he fakely crooned. His eyes were freaky. God, would her eyes be like that? She wanted Luke, NOW, before anything bad happened. What sort of bad, though? Her energies sensed something bad in the air, but it was still so hard to concentrate with her aura playing with itself and everything around it, as well as this germ trying to talk to her and weirding her out. If she went back inside she'd be lost in the same awful crowd as before, and god knew where his friends were.

"Do you know the guy who's throwing this party?" he tried again. Antje let out an exasperated sigh. "Mm-hmm. Go say hi, he's helping hold people upside down for the kegger thing." she said, looking at the door.

"Is he your friend?"

"Yes." maybe if she kept her answers short he'd get bored and go away forever.

"Is he youuur..boyfriend?" Antje scowled.

"No."

"Have you got a boyfriend?" she almost said yes, but it was a technicality, so not really. She decided not to answer. He took that for a "no".

"Shaaame." he grinned, leaning backwards on the rail with his elbows. Ugh, go away, you smell like vodka and menstruation blood.

"So why did you come out here if the party's in there?"

"Because I wanted to be alone." her words were icy. But he wasn't buying it.

"Because you got washed away from your boyfriend by that mob of ladies." Antje swore loudly in her head.

"He's not really my boyfriend." she answered sadly.

"He's too old for you anyway. What are you, 17? Way too old." Antje scowled, anger bubbling up.

"You should get a younger guy, be with someone your own age," he continued, grinning widely. He had some impressive fangs, but Lucifer's were bigger. "Like, for example, me!" he got a darker look to him, and it made her skin crawl. She shook her head and pulled her hair out of her ponytail.

"No." she said.

"No? You don't know me. I could be your prince charming." he purred.

"I'm no-" "Whattayasay, Princess?" he'd cut her off. That was funny. He probably had no idea, really.

"You're the freak from the Anselm family, right?" his tone was turning dark. She stared at him, shocked. That was probably how Luke felt when she'd said his name.

"But aren't you supposed to be dead?" he smiled. Antje's heart stopped. Sure, it did that a thousand times a day, but it stayed 'stopped' for much longer than ever before. Her energies got stronger, though.

"You have the wrong girl, sorry." she stood up and turned to maybe go to the back door. He wasn't a changeling, he was a born vampire. Even though he looked pretty young, he was. He'd kill her.

"Who said you could go? I'm sure I didn't.." he was at the door, blocking it, posed like he'd been there the whole time.

She looked at him again. He'd noticed her heart had stopped.

"Let me leave...please." she tried to stand up straight.

"No." she looked at him, taking him in. He had her shoulder and he spun her around, and he softly led her down onto the concrete steps and almost the length of the house and it's driveway. A few like-dressed boys stood across the street, their looks similar to this man's.

Alistair.. That was his name. Her energy picked up something useful.

"You see, darling, we are going to play a game..." he sounded like he was having fun even though she could almost hear the malicious intent hidden in his words. He pushed her forward, causing her to pitch forward and meet the pavement. He'd scratched her before she'd fallen from his push, and he must have had knives, because she had four rough gouges in her back that immediately began to well with blood. She got up a little, and two of the other men picked her up roughly and pushed her further away, also scratching her shoulder and her side. She hadn't fallen this time, but she thought they hadn't made her fall on purpose. She staggered around to watch them, horrified.

"Alright, Princess. We are playing 'hide and seek'. Because you're such a special guest, you may have hm..a five minute head start. You can run, or hide, anywhere you want. And we'll find you, and we'll scratch you up some more, and then, eventually, you'll be mine. Threetwoonego!" he cackled. Antje darted away surprisingly faster than they had expected. She knew of nowhere to go that would be safe. She couldn't go to her house. She'd never make it to Lucifer's home, and there weren't many people out and about this night.

She prayed Lucifer would catch the scent of her blood in time.

Lucifer, he's going to kill me, please! When she knew for certain he could hear that she started running in earnest.

Lucifer was getting kind of pissed now. Antje was no longer answering him and she was not helping him out. Then again he really invaded her personal space yesterday… He wouldn’t be surprised if she was feeling really rejected and confused. Man he was such an idiot. He hoped to make it up to her tonight. Continuing to wonder around Luke eventually ran into Rick, surprisingly he was still sober.

“Oh I was expecting you to try and go into an alcoholic educed coma.” Luke joked.

“Oh haha, no I am too busy babysitting people. Where’s Antje?” Rick asked.

“I have no idea, I am actually looking for her now.” Luke said, letting a bit of frustration leak into his voice. “do me a favor, where’s your back door? I need some air.”

“Oh um.” Rick looked across the room and then pointed, “Just go down that hall a bit and there should be a door.”

“Thanks, you might not seem me again after this, so I will talk to you later. Oh and here is your present.” Luke said, handing him the book.

“Oh man! You really did go and get me that book! Thanks a ton Luke!” Rick said, brushing his hands through his hair. Luke just smiled and then started to walk outside. Before he even reached the door, Antje contacted him, and he did not like anything he just heard.
Antje? Where are you running to? Who is chasing you? Go to the park, If I am not there run to me house and lock yourself in there. He tried to give her instructions so he could actually find her.

Running for the door Lucifer pushed open the door and immediately smelled her blood.
You’re hurt? This will make it easier to find you, but be careful. Don’t look back, just keep running. He warned. Jumping over the railing Lucifer made himself run as fast as he could to catch up to Antje. They should not have gotten far because Antje can’t move that fast.

She'd surprised them in running so fast. But she knew they were playing with her. She stopped to look around, left or right, but Alistair caught her, and laughing he clawed three gouges across her chest, ripping her tank top and nearly exposing her breasts. She was disgusted to think of what he'd meant when he'd said "You'll be mine", and as soon as he let her wrench away and try running again, he pulled out a box cutter, the next scratch would be worse. Antje had cleared the park but she tried to circle back, but her body was trying not to go into shock. Another man caught up with her, but he didn't scratch her or anything, he just pushed her to the side to throw her off balance. She didn't allow the fall, instead pounding the icy pavement faster until she ran into Alistair's knife, to his delight. He held her shoulder and slashed from the top of her collarbone down vertically until he lightened his grip on the knife, to try and preserve? her breasts.

Antje clutched at her collar, anticipating one of two things; that he would slit her throat and do whatever with her blood, or to cut her more, meaning a worse fate that could include rape or slavery before death. She almost hoped for a quick death. Instead he clawed at her shoulder and leaned in menacingly to lick the blood away. He cut at the backs of her thighs, slashing them with abandon. She pulled herself away from him, and his red eyes and spikey hair and horrible grin made her believe him to be the devil himself. He laughed at her.

"You're still fighting! Look at you! You think you're being brave!" he laughed. He found her adorable with blood everywhere. Antje reflexively removed her cardigan when he grabbed her sleeve, and she had to run the opposite way, even though she had to go into the park. He was close behind, and near the fountain he clawed her arms when she tried to defensively put them up. He was getting tired by now, having not expected such a fight from her. He was going to claim her as his slave and show up at the castle doors with her at his side and her blood would be his and it would make him suddenly a very powerful vampire, almost as powerful as that ungrateful Lancaster boy who left.

"You should have stayed at home, Cinderella, then you wouldn't be in such a mess. But don't cry, lovely, I'll take good care of you..." Antje fell in the snow by the fountain, bleeding from almost everywhere. She was cold, and so tired, and dizzy.

Ohgod, I'm gonna die...I'm sorry! The thought of Luke finding her dead finally got her to cry, which just piqued Alistair's excitement.

Lucifer tried to make it to the park as fast as he could, but when he got there, he was horrified by the amount of blood everywhere. Looking around he saw two changelings just sitting around, down on the ground was Antje and leaning over her was a vampire. He was leaning over her, fangs bared; he was going to change her.

No you’re not
, Lucifer said to her moments before he got a running start and kicked the vampire square in the chest. Graving the vampire by the neck Lucifer’s eyes gleamed at the sight of prey. He was furious, and these ass holes messed with the wrong vampire. “Wow… what do we have here? A washed up Vampire and his two pet Changelings?” Lucifer asked. He was going to try had to do this without reveling his presences. No forget that, these three are going to die. He hissed in his mind, even to Antje.

Throwing the Vampire to the ground, Lucifer brought his foot down onto the vampires arm and snapped it like a twig. The Vampire grunted by tried not to make a sound. “Oh I am sorry… I did not see your arm there.” He paused and moved his foot back a bit. “As an apology, I will save you for last.” Lucifer smiled. “Which one of your pets wants to die first?”

Turning around Lucifer took off his jacket and bent down next to Antje. Picking her up a bit he wrapped the jacket around her and sat her up a bit. “I will take you home in a moment ok?You did really good. Just let me kill these jokers. You won’t bleed out so don’t worry.”
At least I don’t think she can bleed out. He thought to himself. He’s so glad he made it in time.

Antje didn't remove her arms from her chest to really keep the jacket on. She wasn't sure if she could bleed out, but she'd desperately need care. She held both arms across the deep cut, trying to slow the blood down. She watched Lucifer begin to deal with them, shivering and shaking. She was trying to asses where she was cut and bleeding the worst. The upper and lower backs of her thighs were bleeding and her hands were cut. Even if she didn't bleed out, the freezing air made her heart beat faster to try to warm her up.

Alistair tried to get up, but his arm was crushed, and it's hard to get up with only one arm. He howled like a beast, furiously staring at Antje, and then to Lucifer. Alistair clearly recognized him.

"YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARD. YOU CAN'T HAVE HER. YOU HAD EVERYTHING AND YOU JUST LEFT. YOU HAVE THE MOST POWERFUL BLOODLINE. YOU DON'T DESERVE A DHAMPIRE!" Antje's eyes were heavy. She tried so hard to keep them open, but she was too cold and tired.

Ungrateful? That was a new one on him. Looking around him he was pretty sure the two changelings were too scared to face him. It took him nearly second to snap the neck of the two changelings. Breathing out he thought for a long moment, “No one deserves the presence of this Dhampire. And if I get my way, no one will.” He smirked at the Vampire, walking closer to him and graving him by the throat. “how would you like to be my slave? I think that sounds like a wonderful idea.” He teased. Licking the base of the vampires neck, he really was going to bite him, until Luke realized he has some Alcohol in his veins.

Frowning, Lucifer looked back at the other vampire, deep in his eyes. No fear, just anger, spitefulness, lust for power and more. “Your exactly why I left that place. You creatures disgust me. I am ashamed to share a species with you.” Lucifer was going to play with the vampire more, but he heard Antje try to get up behind him. She needed help. But he needed to make him pay.
No I need to get control of myself. “Today is your lucky day. I will ask you one question, depending on how you answer could mean your life. How did you know where to find this girl, who told you and what did they want with her?” He took the Vampires good arm and slide his hand all the way down to his own hand. Gently caressing the finger of the other vampire he whispered, “Answer me faster.” Before he broke one of his fingers.

Antje was sort of interested in him playing with them. How did he know that they'd done the same to her? She actually decided that she wanted them to die, no matter what. But she wanted to hear Alistair's response. Deserving? Of what? What?

"You let go of me right now. I'm not telling you shit." Oh, jeez. Bad choice. But Lucifer needed to know. Clearly they planned that, right? She'd never seen very many other vampires in the city. She heard the loud crack of his two fingers, causing him to laugh, like he was having fun. "They're still searching for you, ya know that? They want you back before you figure shit out. Your father didn't get powerful on his own time, you useless, motherless, ungrateful bastard! I been looking for HER since the day they said she was 18. Her parents want ta get her married as quick as shit, and they said anyone higher than a changeling can have her, darklings included." he sneered. Darklings were normal, born vampires but nowhere near as honorable/ important in society.

Antje was on display. For marriage. Alistair wanted a bride. Nothing says "will you marry me" like attempted murder and stabbing and slashing. At least they weren't directly looking for Lucifer. They just ran into him by chance. Her chest wouldn't cease pouring blood.

Yeah, Lucifer did not like any of those answers. “So the Magic are LETTING her get married? So a Dhampire could breed? Why? Magic know what kind of threat a Dhampire poses to them.” He hissed. He did not want Antje to get married. Honestly if she was going to get married he would do it to make sure no one hurt her. His father was ok with Darklings having her? Oh man the urge to kill this crap under him was overwhelming. Breaking his hand, Lucifer twisted it till it was backwards. “Also, I like to be called a basterd over being motherless. Not that I like either one of them, I just hate him more over her.”

Lucifer sighed, “Ok look I am going to ask one more time, how did you find her and who else knows her location?” If this was a race most likely only they knew her location because he would rather die than tell other people where his prey was, vampires were greedy and petit like that.

"They said she was changing. I don't care about the Magic, do you know how powerful I could get from her blood?! I'd be more powerful than you! I'd get a nice front-row seat with the Royals and the courts, her blood could keep me alive forever, as long as I swore to the Magics that I'd never pull anything funny. They'd make me goddamn KING for that." Alistair sounded pretty excited to share this, but he knew he would die anyways.

Antje was horrified to hear any of that. It was all news to her.

She was already staggering to try and figure out the daunting task of healing, or even just closing her wounds. God, she'd probably have to bathe in blood just to stop the bleeding and close the wounds and get blood in her faster than drinking it.

What about her blood? Would she really live forever? How could her parents and Tante go along with this? I've been attacked. I'm losing a lot of blood fast. Come quick...

She'd never telecommunicated with her parents. She knew they could, though, and that they should be aware that she'd been attacked. They could show up soon, and they would know the best way to heal her, along with Tante. That meant Luke had to leave soon, as she wasn't sure how they would react to Lucifer Lancaster in the flesh saving their daughter. But they'd have to be grateful, for the most part. But it was still a huge risk that wasn't worth Luke's freedom.

“Yes yes.” Lucifer said in a bored tone. He knew this already, but he did not want power, he just wanted to be free. He knew Antje did not know.“I am bored of you already. So I guess this is good bye.” He said, before snapping the Vampires neck. Letting him fall to the ground he whipped around and looked at Antje. The amount of blood everywhere was ridiculous. He wanted to eat it, but he was still in a fit of rage that he kept his cool.

Taking off his shirt, he ripped it in half and began to tie them around her calves. “This is why I want you to let me be your guardian.” He growled in a low voice. Picking her up he decided he should drop her off at her house and then make a run for it. He did not know what kind of medical attention she would need, or where to get her blood to replace what she has lost. “I am going to take you home ok?”
Would her life be in danger now that she knew what her blood was worth?

Antje shivered and kept quiet. She was still anxious, even though they were dead. Would she have to deal with more savage attacks? It would probably be hard to explain to her parents that it was kind of THEIR FAULT that she'd been attacked. They clearly misunderstood how vampires would react to this opportunity. They wouldn't "court" her, or ask politely. They would hunt her down, bite her, claim her, and then they'd have her parents marry them to cover it up to save them the embarrassment of being taken advantage of.

And she was going to let him be her guardian, but they got lost and separated, oh, and he'd flipped out the night before, too. But he couldn't be her guardian. Not if she was being given away shortly.

"I can try and walk.." she whispered. "You have to go before they see you.." she would crawl back if she had to. But what would she say to them? Oh, they severed some arteries so I severed their spines and then I bled everywhere, victorious.

Seemed legit.

He sighed and pulled her into his lap and hugged her tight, keeping her off the snow. He would wait for whoever ‘they’ were. Most likely her parents. “If your parents are responsible for this, I don’t want to hand you over to them you know. I want to keep you safe.” She was so weak; he could feel it as he kept her tight next to him. “Let me take you away. We can run together. After this I have to go. I can keep you safe.” He can, this was a mistake and he understands now what needs to be done. This is no longer a game, and this is no longer something he can just run away from. It is no longer about him.

“Antje, I want you to know I care for you. Not just as Luke, but as Lucifer too. I think I am falling in love with you. This has sort of become really personal, so don’t think for one second you can reject me and think your rid of me.” He breathed to her ears. He will wait for whoever was coming and he’ll so what it takes to keep her safe.

Antje hugged him back. Bare chested hugs with cut-chested hugs were awkward. I'm not trying to get rid of you. You have to run. It's my fault. And if they see you I don't know what they'll do. And I can't go with you. Not that I don't want to, but they'd always find me. And they'd kill you for taking me. They'll want to find me a place closer to them. Which would mean I'd be closer to other vampires. And god knows how soon your father would find out...

Antje toyed with the idea of her parents discovering Lucifer. He'd saved her life, right? On his time. He didn't have to do shit. Maybe they would encourage his guardianship. He hadn't been found before, so maybe they would utilize that? It was a terrific stretch. She was so tired, of everything.

They'll kill Tante for this. She'd be the only person able to be blamed...I don't want to change any more. Then I'd be an heir. And you'd never see me again.

Isadora and Klaus Anselm were shocked initially just to hear the weak voice of their daughter, let alone the information that she was hurt or dying. They'd long retired to their chambers in the castle where they'd sat quietly and sipped blood from tea cups and talked about some of their favorite subjects, being lesser vampires. They were one of the more politically correct courtiers; they spoke to and met some of their kingdom's subjects, they were polite and respectful to them almost as they were to them. Their family would never take rule in the rotating royalty of other courtier families. They had no heir to be accounted for. Antje wouldn't have made a very good appeal to the other families, let alone subjects due to her condition. Often times a few of their favorites would wish that the Anselms would become rulers, that their daughter could share the respect and love of her parents, too.

The truth was that they were completely unaware of any such call for suitors. Neither were Der Zauberers, who sometimes felt more like their most loyal friends.

The Lancaster family, their political opposites, had done some sneaking around. The head Lancastor boy, along with his father, had had this planned since the day Antje was born. They wanted to rule, unapposed, forever. Antje was like the key to the castle and thrones. They'd sent out the Anselm family's seal on letters announcing the opportunity of their daughter. Who ever brought her to the castle would be killed, even if they'd ensured their survival by claiming her, and she would be given to Sasha Lancaster, the most powerful son of Alias Lancastor.

Isadora looked at Klaus and Klaus looked at Isadora, shocked of news of any sort of attack. Her father dressed immediately in black jeans, an undershirt, a more formal shirt with no buttons, and he quickly donned his warmest overcoat. He would leave first, he was the fastest of them, while Isadora hurried to dress in more-human attire. Showing up in two century old clothing would be ridiculous, and would raise suspicion. Where was Cora? How had Antje been attacked and Cora had not alerted them? Cora was never to let Antjechen out of her sight. Isadora would need to contact Zauberer Anton with this news.

"Raus." she whispered, nearly anguished by the thought of their daughter dead.

(So many new freakin names haha… Oh man Ill need to name Luke’s family in a bit)

“Are you kidding Antje? You won’t be a heir, I hate to break it to you. You will be no better than a blood slave.” Lucifer scoffed at her. “And if the Magic find out, you can forget about living.” He hugged her tighter and press his face on hers. “Antje, I know my father, you will probably end up being given to my older brother. Or worse, my father might even claim you for his own.” Lucifer was trying to think of any way to get her healed and then take her somewhere safe. He could just take her now and hope she will recover from the blood loss. The last thing he wanted was for her to go back. “We have one advantage on my father, I am pretty damn sure he will not expect me to be by your side. After several fail attempts of getting a hold of you, I am sure he will thing something is up.” He hissed, her blood becoming tempting, “There has to be some way to get out of this mess.” He said.
