BloodLines

Antje liked her nickname. It made her stomach do flips. Him leaning in a bit also set her heart off. God, how did he do that? She seemed to draw him in, and that was fine for her. He was just as intoxicating to her as she was to him. She'd love to bite him, her sharpening teeth begging to bite someone.

Her sudden night vision wasn't the only thing that had changed.

She put her head on his shoulder. Maybe his body had started to produce similar pheremones to counter hers.

She didn't want to ask about it, fearing he wouldn't understand. She also decided to not bring up her feelings either.

“Hmmm?” He asked, wrapping his arms around her when she put her head on his shoulder. Well they would need to leave as soon as the sun went down, maybe even a little before. He wanted to find a place rather quickly. The sooner the better. “You did not answer my question.” He said simply, in his board tone.

Antje shook herself out of her fog and nuzzled him.

"I'd like to go to college... I wish you could go with me, butI understand. We do need jobs..." she sighed. Being able to go to school and come home to him sounded bearable...

After a few moments of cuddling, her teeth ached. She pouted, wishing they would stop growing. And seeing in the dark was eerie to her. But she was starting to worry. And then of course her body seemed to demand a kiss or her to bite him or both. It was a subtle erotic feeling. One that she tried to squash.

"My teeth hurt..." she finally said. She was very tempted to bite herself to fix her pain.

Lucifer pushed her back a bit, his hands firmly on her shoulder. “Let me see.” He said, putting his hands on her mouth. Gently he lifted her lips to see the inside of her mouth. Yep her teeth were growing. “Go bite into one of those stakes. I don’t think they will be mature enough for feeding yet, but they are defiantly growing.” He will need to go take her to feed some time soon. She needs much more blood then he needs, but hopefully she can hold on. Lucifer looked around the room and then thought for a moment. He could go give a house call to one of the neighbors, depends if they are living alone or not. “Bite a stake, then tell me how it feels. The cold will feel good on your teeth.”

Nervously she went to the freezer and bit down, hard, on the meat. It helped a little bit, but her teeth demanded something with tougher skin.

"It's not really helping.." she mumbled. Biting someone would probably make her feel worse than before. She sighed, frustrated by her pain. Her skin was tougher than humans or steak. She took a big breath and before he could react she put her arm to her mouth and sunk her teeth into her pale flesh. It felt good.

She worried that she would horrify Lucifer for that, but it helped her mouth...

She prayed that no more extreme changes would happen again soon.

Lucifer was not really paying much attention to Antje when she was biting into the stake. “Its ok, just keep doing what y—“ When a sudden jolt of pain went through the back of his mind he jumped up off the and turned around to look at her. Had the idiot really bitten herself? Jumping over the couch Lucifer pushed Antje against the fridge, hoping the impact would be enough to make her let go of her arms.

Pulling the arm she bit over her head he pinned the wrist on the fridge. He stared at her with an angry expression, moving close to let angry vibes seep from their link. “That hurt yourself more than you think. Idiot.” He knew she probably at the moment felt more relief then pain but her body was hurt because her fangs were still under developed. He read in the books that Antje feeds best on vampires, but she can’t feed until her fangs grow enough to not damage skin as badly as she just did to herself.

Leaning forward, Lucifer licked Antje’s arm slowly. Vampires saliva had a bit of healing property to them so that the holes healed properly, quickly and without a scar. Hopefully the puncture wounds were not so bad that they will scar. Also with licking her arm, Lucifer licked up her blood, her sweet and wonderful blood. Her blood tasted absolutely wonderful to Lucifer and made him feel full of energy. What would he feel like if he drank so much more of it? No… Lucifer shook his head and looked down at Antje again, holding her wrist tighter. “If you want to bite into flesh that bad you should have told me.”

Pulling her back to the couch, Lucifer scooped Antje up and then sat her on his lap. “Bite me instead. But don’t do that to yourself again, understand?”

Antje nodded, shaking a bit. Okay, yeah, stupid thing to do, but she'd honestly would rather hurt herself than him. She remembered the link and she hugged him tightly. She did not, under any circumstances, bite him. Even though it sounded wonderful, she held back.

"I-I don't want to bite you..." she lied, shaking her head. What if she hurt him? She didn't want to bite him. All their energies would bounce around uncontrollably. She hadn't meant to make him angry, and she knew he'd insist she take his blood and bite him.

“Don’t lie to yourself. Don’t worry about me either. I drank a bit of your blood just now so I am a bit super charged. If not my neck, bite my wrist. If you are not careful you will push yourself into a corner because you keep denying yourself what your body needs. There is a time and a place for things and right now is the time and place, so just bite my arms and feed off me a bit, it will be fine, I promise.” He knew she would eventually give up and bite him, it was just going to be a bit of pursasuan.

He was right. But it didn't quite make her feel better. She felt awkward still from before. She sat in his lap for a moment, thinking. She wanted to get those stupid emotions out. Lucifer, I'm sorry about earlier on the plane... She idly began to touch his hair, enjoying the softness. Don't confuse me or anything, but I care about you a lot... And I guess that was what I was trying to say earlier... She paused and laid her head on his neck affectionately. She still felt like she couldn't bring herself to bite him.

I really don't want to bite you. In a way, she really didn't. Bygones were bygones, though, and their mixed scents seemed magnetized.

Lucifer let out a long sigh of dread, “Look Antje…” He started, his breath brushing her hair. He tightened his grip on her, “I have feelings for you too. Romantic feelings. I care about you much more then I should, and more then I have felt for anyone in my life. But I am afraid of the monster I use to be. Afraid you will think I only feel this way because of your blood. Afraid you will realize I am a Landcaster, I am related to those other monsters. It is in my blood. I just don’t know Antje… the only thing I do know is that I need to protect you from my family.” He paused and thought for a moment, gently rubbing her back. “I have been trying to avoid this because I don’t want you to settle with a monster like me. To fall in love with someone like me…”

Antje blinked, taking in what he'd said. She opened the link, explaining that she wasn't ever concerned about him being a monster or a Lancastor or him wanting her blood. She knew he'd never be a monster to her. She'd decided that when she'd accidentally linked them at first. He wasn't a monster. He was raised to be, and in her own way she'd been raised like she were a monster, too. She wasn't scared of him. She liked everything about him. Even the darker parts to him. She was afraid of being a vampire. That was her only fear. She didn't want to change any more, and biting him would just be another encouragement to change. She was scared because it hurt. She was scared that he'd..leave her, once she'd changed, because she'd be his fledgling in a sense, his responsibility.

She hugged him tight, ignoring the electric aches to bite him. She felt stupid and stubborn, but he hadn't convinced her to bite him. Antje just kept her face as close to his as possible in her hug, ignoring herself.

It really hurts...But I can't..

God, did he feel any pain from her? She hoped not. She'd offer the same to him if it did, but he would probably be the same way...So where did that leave them? Antje had been crying a little because of her teeth. She just wanted all of them out, now.

Lucifer was not sure if she really truly understood what he was responsible for. It was fine though, he will leave it alone for now, because her teeth were hurting right now. “It doesn’t work like that.” He said as he heard her questions through the link. “I do feel your pain, but it is not mine and does not make my teeth ache to bite.”

Thinking that possibly to put her under his pheromone spell, Lucifer started to release some to make her feel fuzzy headed. He hoped this would lessen the pain, which it should because that would make her feel more relaxed. Gently he started to rock her back and forth telling her that being a vampire it not that bad. Lastly that he was not leaving anywhere, he was her guardian. Only by her side does he feel whole now because of the tattoo she branded on his skin.

Antje bit her lip, confused. He wasn't playing fair at all.

"Don't do that, please...." she pulled away a bit. It was pretty overwhelming. Why was he pushing her so hard? She knew she was hurting her lip from biting it, but it helped.

She still didn't want to bite him. Even if it helped her feel better.

"Lucifer, please don't do that..." he was really tempting her. She pulled her hair away from her face, nervous. She was half swayed. She almost retaliated with her own pheremones.

“Relax Antje.” He said in a smooth voice, “I won’t make you bite me, so stop biting yourself. The only thing that is going to happen is you will get a little fuzzy and fall asleep. So close your eyes and relax.” He knew that his voice probably started to sound strange to her as he threw suggestions out, his Pheromones getting a bit stronger. He really did need her to relax, she was freaking out for no reason. “Just think about sleeping.”

She took a deep breath and slowly felt calm. Her mouth hurt less, which she was thankful for, but her throat was dry. Antje sighed. "If I bite you, it'd hurt you." she quietly asked. She was tired of this. He wouldn't leave her. But she didn't want to be a vampire. She'd get it over with. And then she could just lay in his arms and forget about the whole thing...

“Not as bad as you think Miss Antje.” He said quietly with a smile, feeling her relax in his arms. Better, he thought. “It’s your choice Antje.” He said in a whisper. Slowly he moved his hands to slide through her hair. He needed to rest soon if they were to get up in a few hours. His burns needed to heal as well, possibly get something to help them tomorrow.

Antje sighed, nodding. She softly kissed his lips and then she readjusted in his lap. He was right, they needed to go sleep soon. Fine, she'd make it quick. She gently kissed his jawline and then asoft spot under his jaw near his neck. She licked a spot on his neck and awkwardly nipped his neck. She pulled away and bit down harder, relief filling her.

He tasted amazing, and she softly licked and kissed at his bite, worried for hurting him. She let her hands run through his hair. She was probably being too sensual...But it seemed right, like instinct.

Lucifer bite his lower lip when she bite him. He was surprised by the sudden kiss on his lips, but it only made him less prepared for her under developed fangs to pierce his skin. Regardless he tired to remain silent as she drank a bit of his blood, gently holding her close to him. He waited patiently as he let her taste him, gritting his teeth through the pain. First lesion he will need to teach her is to use her pheromones, not that they would help with her fangs right now. After a long while, Lucifer gently squeezed the back of her neck, “Antje, you will suck me dry if you keep this up. Remember Vampires can’t make their own blood, that’s why we suck it out of other people.” He reminded her calmly.

Antje poutingly licked her bite to close it. She felt bad for accidentally being carried away. She felt much better, but she still felt guilty for her teeth being too rough. "I'm sorry... Are you okay?" she sat back in his lap to look at him, worried.

She put her hand on his cheek, her cold hands probably soothing to his burns.

She softly kissed him again, thankful to have him.

Lucifer frowned when she kissed him again on the lips. He really could not hold it in much longer, so he didn’t. “I am sorry.” He said before he pressed his lips back on hers, kissing her slowly. He pulled her close to him while he kissed her. Pulling away from her he picked her up and then laid her on the bed. “Go to sleep, we have a long day tomorrow.” He said, turning around and walking to the fridge. He needed to feed now because he was low on blood.

The morning and evening passed quietly and quickly after that and Lucifer woke Antje to go out. He did not get a wink of sleep was felt extremely exhausted. He was not sure if he was going to regret what happen with Antje or not. Regardless things went on as always and it seemed like their relationship did not change much.

The house they found was three stories and kind of a wreck, thus made it relatively cheap to buy. The people who took them in the first day they landed offered some of the furniture that was in the room, including the fridge, TV, couch and bed. The house was a nice one that had a basement, a ground floor, a second floor and an attic. The house was located a 5 minute walk away from town and a 15 minutes away from the college and grocery store. Antje had made herself at home in Lucifer’s bed, located in the basement, just like she did back when they meet, not that Lucifer minded to much.

During this time Lucifer taught Antje how to be more of a vampire, but also taught her how to be a vampire in hiding. Antje was never allowed to feed in less Lucifer was present, though he never told her why. Later Antje taught Lucifer how to properly use electronics like TVs and Computers. This helped Lucifer land a job across the street of Antje’s college, making him feel much better about being able to quickly reach Antje in any situation. He worked from dusk to several hours before dawn.

It was about two months after they moved in that Antje’s school was about to start. Lucifer yawned and got up to make Antje some breakfast or lunch. He had to give himself a pat on the back because he would say he had become a decent cook for human foods, even though he never ate some himself.

Antje liked the new house. She liked the basement sleeping chamber, and she seemed to sleep much better in his bed. She didn't think he minded much about sharing a bed, but she still made a habit of making the bed every time they got up. The basement was starting to look settled in, the little windows outside painted black from the inside, a dresser and closet holding their clothes, and a mini fridge holding vampire food near a small sink. Upstairs was comfortable, with human food in the refrigerator, normal living room and den. The second floor was sort of a recreational area for both of them, the tv and computer up there and a lot of Lucifer's books on the shelves along Antje's slow-growing collection of art books and English books for college. They had a big chair that easily fit both of them, and a small loveseat. In some rooms Antje had painted on the walls (with Lucifer's help, of course), and the attic was a second little lair, like the basement. As soon as they felt safer they would maybe move there, but not for a while.

Antje liked having Lucifer as a teacher, and even though a lot of his lessons were darker and came from his past, he was still kind and patient with her. She sometimes felt like she was giving him human lessons.

She woke up soon after him, nervous. She wished he could go to college with her, but she liked his close-proximity job. She had two classes every other day, one at 3 in the afternoon, and one from seven to eleven at night. That would still give her time to spend with Lucifer, which she liked. She could visit him at work, too, like before.

She hadn't really kissed him since last time, and even though she wanted to she was waiting for him to initiate anything, when he would be comfortable to do that. She was still content that he cuddled with her a lot, and often she fell asleep in his arms.

College would be scary. She'd have a hard time making acquaintances. She showered and put jeans and a tank top, saving her sweater to wear later. Cold didn't bother her much anymore. She put on make-up and went upstairs to find Lucifer making her food. "Hey." she smiled shyly. She looked much more grown up as of late. Pretty..Attractive, even.Did he notice?

Lucifer glanced at Antje, wondering why she was acting so meek. Shrugging it off, he placed a plate in front of her with eggs and toast. In a cup a placed a bit of pig blood and put it next to the plate. “Are you ready to go to school today? College is different from high school, it’s not as intense people wise, It is more free. Remember to call me if you need anything.” He said.

When they first moved here, Antje manage to teach him how to use a cell phone. Rick had wanted him to get one, but he never did. Now he had one and keeping in contact with Antje should be easier. Although she should be in range of telepathy at all times, that was Lucifer’s terms for her freedom. After all he needed to get to her in times of danger.

Antje sighed and ate the toast, trying to take his advice. He had really no idea how traumatized she really was from school. She knew he was right, less people oriented, but these people were the grown up bullies. And they'd all look like sheep. She just wished he could go with her. She finished her cup and nibbled at the eggs.

"I just...really hate people." she sighed, running her hands through her hair. She pulled her legs up and hugged her knees, desperately trying to clear past near-suicide inducing incidents from her head. He didn't need to know of them.

“You know, if you give off the vibe, people can feel it. It comes with the whole Pheromone package love. Try being more open, people will naturally flock to you then.” He suggested, trying to be helpful for Antje. “Now hurry up and eat your food, we have to get to the school and it is a bit of a walk.” He said.

Antje ate the eggs obediently and went to brush her teeth. She grabbed her messenger bag with the empty folders and notebooks in it and she quickly tied her shoes. She felt completely out of her element, and she wasn't even there yet. College in England would have made her feel the same, though. Antje at least had someone to go home to, who knew so much about her, who cared.

"Do you think any others like us are at the university?" she asked, trying to distract herself when they began walking, hand in hand, toward the campus.
