Fantasy Bloodlines (Open)

Beau only responded with a nod and didn't speak. Instead, he played a song to try and distract him from his thoughts. It was called Love Like You and he resonated with it deeply. He didn't like to explain why but if someone knew what it meant then they'd understand why he liked it.

Aiden listened to the tune that the man played on the guitar, trying his best to place it. "What's that song?" He asked after a few moments, now having forgotten about the humans completely. "It's not often I hear music anymore, from outside of my time, anyway."

He stopped playing, "It's called Love Like You. I could sing it if you'd like," he asked with his head cocked to the side. He didn't normally sing in front of people but he felt comfortable around the Tepes vampire.

"Oh, please, if you would." Aiden leant against the wall, cocking his head to the side as he tried to conjure up the song from some corner of his mind, where he may have once heard it.

He bobs his head along to the tune of the song. "You must have played this song before, who is it about?" He asked once the song had concluded.

"The people who say they care about me," he spoke whilst glancing at the floor, "It was a rough time in my life. I-I don't wanna talk about it."

"Well I'm no human. That life is behind me. There is no such thing as Daniel Jackson. I am Beau Von Carstein and I have been for the last however many years. I've lost count." Beau didn't care about his age anymore. He didn't age so he didn't need to count the years.

After awhile Annette had forgotten her brief unease. She had started chatting with a few people that had come out tonight together. It was likely their friendly demeanor was also drug-influenced, or at the very least alcohol driven. Not that that really mattered in the interest of having a good time.

Jesse was a lovely girl Annette's age with tan skin and jet black hair. She looked strongly like she might be part native american. She and Annette were sharing the sudden type of friendship that was only to be found at the bar, or in a life threatening situation. Also were Kody: a blond bearded young man that looked like he hadn't quite got the hang of taking care of himself yet, Kevin: A thin pale fellow with blackish brown hair and handsome features, Maria: A "lightly dressed" natural red head, made obvious by her complexion and freckles, and Mike: who had light brown hair that was already starting to show signs of early balding at 24 and was also fairly muscle-bound.

Even in Annette's current mood she had not responded to Kody's flirtations. It's not as if she was a prude by any means, but she didn't want things to go that way so fast. She had learned her lesson about taking men home at their first meeting; suffice to say.

"Come out with me to smoke" Jesse had said. Annette and Jesse were inevitably followed by Kody, Mike and Maria, who were also smokers (at least socially). Annette wasn't technically a smoker, but she shared a few drags with Jesse while leaning (platonically) close to each other. The air was cold tonight, even for the inebriated.
