Fantasy Bitter Spite - OOC Chat

That's why I said these characters have 4 vests of plot armor on them.

That's some serious plot armor dude. Yes the plot thickens as my Bard doesn't hope around like a frog...

;)

Either way I honestly have no idea how to proceed.

Or like, Y'know. Stand about...ten feet away at all times.
Yeah, that's also pretty dumb. Why do charm spells come in the form of a kiss? You'd think the Demigoddess of Love can do that with a lustful look, or just showing them two, large, juicy, beautiful...

....

EYES! I SWEAR I MEANT EYES! JUST WINK AT THEM AND THE EYELASHES WILL DO THE REST!!!

Most charm spells I've seen are talking or potions.
Otherwise, they're probably kisses because to most people love=romance. Talking always seems like it would be the most useful way to charm people.

Maybe it's just more powerful if it's a kiss? Either way my guy has like a gigantic amount of Will.

Either way, I'm cooking up a really cool and complicated Villain Simulator Quest. I'm fleshing out every little detail of it to make sure it works well :P

Maybe it's just coz he's a selfish dick, and his love for himself actually overrides the...love beam.

...or maybe it makes him love himself more. Haha

Excuse the stupidity, what's a Villain simulator quest?

Villain Simulator is the odd part.

Quest is a type of roleplay where the GM posts an update every few hours/days/weeks and posts options for the players. The players then vote on the fate of the Quest's main character and depending on the outcome of the vote, the GM posts what the character does in the next update and gives more choices.

Example:
Update #1.
Jimmy is walking down the street, then, he is suddenly jumped by a thug with a knife!
  1. Run!
  2. Fight!
  3. Write-in.
[Players vote and a vast majority of them choose the option: Run!]

Update #2.
Jimmy backs off and sprints in the opposite direction, but the thug runs after him.
  1. Go into an alleyway.
  2. Try to call the police.
  3. Write-in.
[One of the players chooses option 3 and writes: "Jimmy should stop suddenly and stick his leg out to make the thug trip," then the rest of the players heartily agree.]

Update #3
Jimmy comes to a sudden stop and steps to the side, before sticking his leg out a bit above the ground. The thug, affected by inertia, doesn't have the time to stop and trips to the ground, knocking his teeth out.

[And so on.]

Of course, most quests have lengthier updates.

In this case, my idea is a Quest where the main character is an aspiring supervillain.

Lucrezia wanted to put up a "no plot armor past this point" sign on the front door but they didn't have the budget for it.
Well, Saverous has to tell them of how a large number of sorcerers attacked his village, killed many, and took any child they could. I mean, they'd have no reason to doubt his story... besides his rather well known ties to Seth.

Supervillian like the Joker, or main antagonist villain like Sauron?

As in: You start out in a city with barely nothing and get to choose what kind of evil-doer you will be kind of Supervillain. The players, depending on their choice, can be anything from a loathful mage to a classic evil overlord to a mad scientist to.......

I would like that, but I'm also Craving a kinda War of The Worlds type thing. I think in a questing format. I'm talking like a modern version like the 2005 movie.

Btw guys, by face mask I mean like him pulling up something over his mouth and nose like you would do with a scarf or a bandana, not an actual mask. If anybody could give me the proper word for It, that'd be great as I haven't got a clue.

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to bail on this RP. I honestly can't keep track of all the characters any more and finding good times and places to post has become more troubling than it's worth. Best of luck to the rest of you. I'm pretty sure my character wasn't doing anything important plot-wise, so we can just assume he bails after the meeting.

I have an idea!

Hop around NOT like a frog WITHOUT croaking!
Or CROAK like a frog while your body has intense tremors from resisting the effect!

Advice, if you want to make a crowning moment of comedy:

Diarmid: ... Ah-ha! It doesn't work!
Iris: ... [Smirk]
Diarmid: Huh? What's with that smirk, I'm not--- RIBBIT.....
...
Iris: [Smirk expands]
Diarmid: Okay, I see your point.

Anti-Magic - Rakuyo is capable of absorbing spells and deflecting stronger magical attacks. This, combined with Lucrezia's speed makes her well suited to fight spellcasters.
  • The Scholar - As is to be expected with noble families, Lucrezia is very well read. She enjoys reading and has an excellent knowledge of literature.
  • She has a special fondness for paintings and illustrations, but is actually a rather terrible painter herself.
  • Enjoying a second life as a avid scholar, Lucrezia has a fascination with the pre-Cabrinate era and is actually planning to write a thesis on the historical impact of the Empire on ancient civilization.
  • The Diplomat - Lucrezia's position has meant that a certain understanding of the political world is vital. She's charismatic and persuasive.
*True story about to happen*
Seth's Minion
: M'lord, what do you think of love on first sight?
Seth: I think it's bullshit.
[Lucrezia walks into the room]
Seth: I...... take...... that........ back....... [jaw-drop] Woah... k-kawaii.... [dreamful sigh and total animu blush]

I'm totally just imagining Seth standing in his study room or whatever, just gazing at this crystal ball and scrying just to see what Lucrezia's doing like a stalker with a crush but without actual stalking (theoretically, since he's not technically present,) and one of his minions walks and he just throws the ball out the window to cover it all up, then claims it was defective.

The best part that the traits I quoted are something he'd most likely desire in a friend, furthermore in an actual romantic interest. She's scholarly, can keep up with him by disabling his spells, and has a fondness for erudite pursuits and art. Plus the charisma. There isn't really a more perfect waifu that the Dark Lord would want. To be fair, he won't fall in love at first sight. That seems a bit exaggerated, but as soon as he learns as little as that she has an interest in scholarly pursuit, fine arts, or some other trait like that, Seth would take at least a tiny interest.

Oh she'll be Thrilled.
