Sure thing. Page 12 in the Player’s Handbook talks about it. Basically, you can choose the pre-made set of stats called the “Standard Array” and distribute them into your stars. Or, you can use the points system to buy custom stats detailed in page 13 and then distribute them into your stats. Does that make any sense? Sorry. Typing on my phone. LOL.I'm not exactly familiar with point buy and standard array. Could you tell me how to do that? I usually roll my stats.
Depends. I’d like to look at it first. It doesn't talk about what to do for a tabaxi. Would it be alright if I used a character that I already have?
Tabaxi is under Volo's Guide to Monsters :p You can find it in an anyflip version online. Or, it might be in the dnd wikidot.I'm not quite sure what the Tabaxi bonuses are...
Thank you! I was going to offer doing the same. Appreciate it.Tabaxi Ability Scores: Dex +2; Cha +1 Size: Medium Speed: 30 ft., climb 20 ft.
Age. Tabaxi have lifespans equivalent to humans.
Alignment. Tabaxi tend toward chaotic alignments, as they let impulse and fancy guide their decisions. They are rarely evil, with most of them driven by curiosity rather than greed or other dark impulses.
Size. Tabaxi are taller on average than humans and relatively slender.
Your size is Medium.
Darkvision. You have a cat's keen senses, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Feline Agility. Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Cat's Claws. Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Cat's Talents. You have proficiency in the Perception and Stealth skills.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Yeah, I never remember the race bonuses off the top of my even for the "standard" races.Thank you, I appreciate it. I've actually made a tabaxi character before, it's just that I can't remember how.
Are you sure? I’m happy to work with you on the character part or explain as much as you need. I hate to see that keep you from it.Hey sorry. I'm gonna have to drop out of this... I have no idea what's going on or any of the DnD lore. I don't even know how to make a character! xD But thank you for the opportunity anyway!
How about everyone else? Any questions? Concerns? How are the characters coming?
DreamingBlackbird , Ilikepie , Oakleaf
How did you do that?
I can't find it.
Yo we get starting gold? I might go roll for that then. I thought we only had starting equipment oops.
