NOTE: In coded text go to tab 4!

Bad Beasts Rising will be split into chapters. Each chapter will have a clear goal, but other subplots may occur within the chapters. An overview of the main occurrences in each chapter shall be posted in the project so that if anyone has an extended break, they can be updated on the plot.

The dark wizards and the aurors will have different goals to reach by the end of the chapter. Whether they achieve said goals or not will decide the course of the RP. In all posts please remember to put your character's current location, who they are with, and their role (Auror, New Hope, Outcast, muggle ally etc.) somewhere in the posts. Don't forget to tag those who you are mentioning!

STRANGE HAPPENINGS

Across all corners of the wizarding world, violent deaths of muggles have been on the increase and talk of an organisation called The New Hope Alliance has been on the rise. The aurors of MACUSA and the Ministry of Magic have called upon the very best aurors and aurors in training to congregate and begin an investigation into the strange attacks and what caused them.

They will need to discover the cause of the attacks by finding various evidence clues at the scenes of the crimes. But first, the rookies must be assigned to a veteran for efficiency's sake.

MISSION 1: Mauled Muggles in Paris

The Magical Union of France have come across several mauled corpses in the city of Paris with the same markings. The Beasts Division suggests werewolves. The aurors must track down said werewolves before the muggle community become too suspicious. Meanwhile The New Hope Alliance must cause as much havoc as possible wherever they can, recruiting young, powerful and impressionable wizards to their cause through the means of emotional manipulation.

AUROR OBJECTIVE: Find and detain THREE werewolves

DARK WIZARDS OBJECTIVE: Recruit Corinth Flint, location unknown.

LOCATIONS TO VISIT: COMING SOON

ALL AURORS WILL BEGIN THE RP CONGREGATING AT THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC WHERE THEY WILL BE ASSIGNED TO PARTNERS

ALL NEW HOPERS WILL MEET AT THE MORNINGSTAR'S TOP SECRET HQ MANOR DE FONTENELLE, A LAVISH BUT DARK MANOR HOUSE IN THE AUSTRIAN ALPS.

Today had simply been a normal morning for Saga. Although she knew that the Ministry of Magic could be having far more aurors present in the auror office than usual, as all of the aurors had been notified days in advance, she was all too aware of the mysterious muggle murders happening across the country and beyond. The Daily Prophet had been reporting them more and more frequently and had done so that morning just as usual. At present she had apparated into the grand foyer, striding past the Fountain of Magical Brethren and toward the office with a cup of coffee in one hand and a Daily Prophet rolled up under her other arm while she checked the time.

Not surprisingly, Saga was twenty-five minutes early for work and was one of the first in the office. With a discreet and sombre nod to Mr Potter, she took her seat and began to review all of the information she had gleaned from reading the muggle attack reports in the newspapers both muggle and magical. She sipped her coffee in silence, waiting for her fellow aurors and the foreign aurors from around the world to gather.

Saga had heard that she may be partnered up with a more inexperienced auror in training from who-knows where. It wasn't her idea of a fun time. She was bad enough at socialising without having to mentor a rookie. Nonetheless, with the exposure of the magical world a very real possibility, she understood that her department needed all the help they could get.

A journey that had been in the making for some time now. A new career that had been set within his determined for at least a few years now if not longer despite, certain, shall we say advisers that didn't wish for him to follow this path. He was too sweet, kind and naive with a touch of phobia and clumsy ridden for his own good for such a career that was guaranteed to bring with certain and grave dangers to any that would set foot in and commit themselves to such a dark field of work even as honorable as it may be of them. But in some ways it was in Patrick Fletcher Warbeck's blood, it was something he had been set on becoming for years and while had certain skills certainly, there were many reasons that would prove those doubters and those that wished he'd reconsider ultimately right.... Perhaps.

But Patrick while many things and certainly would struggle at first with some of the horrors he'd surely witness and see the aftermath of eventually. Perhaps even a lifer in struggling and coping with such things. But while he was many things .... A quitter and someone you'd tell 'You cannot do this... You'll only fail!' or 'You will never succeed!' amongst other such lines he was not. If anything it drove him crazy and brought his blood to a boil to be told such things and underestimated by others. He has his doubts and in the plenty. But he was certain and determined to prove them all wrong and show himself as well as them..... He can and will succeed!

Thus his travels after school preparing to face the challenges of becoming an Auror. Working on his flaws and improving himself the best he could while others went about their lives in peace and plenty. Patrick set out on one long and beloved adventure! A tale of his own and journey to succeed in self discovery and ultimately improving himself, prepping himself for such a career as that of an Auror. Now today was the day ..... Patrick was back in the UK, he was truly home once again having since gone through the Auror training and trials upon his return some time ago from his travels and 'Adventures'. Time had passed since it all and today was the day he'd depart for the ministry of magic, specifically the Aurors office....

Aware of the troubles now and reading his copy of the paper that now sat tucked between his arm and a espresso coffee, the largest they had to offer him rested in hand. A smile as always but understanding and aware that despite his excitement it was not to be a great smile just a reasonable one all things considered in such times. Still a great and tragic times they were in and read about in the paper across the world it seemed. Yet, Patrick was still rather hyped and looking forward to getting started on his new path as an Auror, he'd been working at this for some years and time now.... Such a long journey.

A new man. A new Patrick. He was set and ready to go. He was ready to meet his new comrades and future friends while undertaking this new responsibility and true long term commitment of a career. Walking into the Ministry and making his way toward the Aurors office giving a smile and nod to Mr. Potter himself, completely doing his best to hide his 'hyped' and 'How awesome just met Harry Potter' vibes that nearly swelled to great to the surface to keep under control for the bubbly young wizard. Meanwhile a tune playing in his head and bobbing his head to the beat of the song. Almost a slight swag and dance in his step, his sway, but hardly noticable unless truly paying close attention.

Taking his first steps into the Aurors office, a quick but slightly delayed glance over the room and taking it all in. Noticing all the new faces and following with a deep breath and exhaled with a slight returned and reasonable smile as the song continued to play in his mind despite no longer having the earbuds in his ear. Patrick took notice of a potentially slightly older woman with blonde hair and noticing her own coffee that was present. "Oh! A coffee buddy to be!" Patty noted to himself aiming to find at least one thing that might just help him with the common ground approach to meeting new people and breaking that Ice on way to future buddy-status that he'd surely be determined to make happen during their time as they worked together as aurors in the same office.

A song in his head ever playing and contributing to his mood. A coffee or espresso rather in hand with a copy of the daily prophet tucked underneath an arm. A few quick notices around the office. Patrick stood within the Aurors office simply taking it all in and ready to get started on this new Adventure...

Leandra had been in London for an entire day and although she knew her reasons for being there had nothing to do with leisure, she could not help being disappointed at the fact she had not had time to play tourist. Central London seemed like a more glamorous and antiquated version of her home in New York where she was currently training as an auror at the MACUSA. Besides, all those shopping opportunities on Oxford Street were incredibly hard to ignore. They reminded her of the old days when her finances did not always have to be used for 'practical' things. She knew her father would have been all too happy to buy her a few new outfits if it persuaded her to abandon her dangerous ambition of 'auroredom'.

Leandra had been informed of the secret visitors entrance into the Ministry of Magic and after having a polite chat with a handsome ministry worker (who had been thinking thoughts that almost made the poor girl blush) in the telephone box-come-elevator, she made her way into the vast hub of the building. Her eyes were wide as she surveyed the place. With its high ceilings and tiled walls, it looked a little bit like the London Underground. She clutched her purse a little bit tighter from excitement as she made her way through the hustle and bustle of the grand foyer, her gaze soon drawn to the majestic golden fountain depicting a handsome wizard and beautiful witch surrounded by a centaur, a goblin and a house-elf all looking adoringly at the wizards. The fountain itself gave her an uneasy feeling. It may have looked like a show of brotherhood, but to her it was clear that there was a hierarchy amongst the magical brethren, and it was also all too clear which of them was at the top.

Her mind had begun to wander a little, as did her gaze. Truthfully she was overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the place and was sure she would get lost on her way to the auror headquarters. To her great surprise, she noticed the same handsome ministry worker approaching her.
"So sorry, I don't mean to assume, but you look a little lost. Is there somewhere specific that you need to be?"

He was trying to buy time with her. Lea could hear the loose thread of a plan in his thoughts. He would invite her out for a date in London sometime. Soho. Maybe she would think about it. Lea smiled at him. "Oh thank you, you're too kind, hun! I'm looking for the auror office actually."

She does not look like an auror. Another entirely expected thought that he was trying to mask in his expression. It was an entirely fair assumption what with her 50s movie star curls, Chanel purse and her delicate pink and white attire.
"Right, I can take you there, no problem!" He said eagerly and began leading the way.

Without much thought, she glided alongside him, a bounce to her step and her nude-coloured heels clicking on the tiled floor. They chatted amicably along the way; real words interspersed with his racing thoughts. Leandra was beginning to get a headache and was thrilled when they reached the office and parted ways (she had graciously accepted the offer of a date that she had seen coming a mile away).

The office was small, filled with cubicles and probably needed to be enchanted to hold the sudden influx of visitors it would be getting. The atmosphere felt heavy, but only for a second before....

Was that Uptown Funk she could hear? Certainly not out loud. Most wizards didn't know that song...Then her gaze landed on someone familiar. Or at least their shoes anyway. Patrick was here! Her childhood best friend from her time at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and quite the live-wire. Leandra would know his thoughts anywhere. She walked over to him, still with a bounce to her step and tapped him lightly on the shoulder waiting for him to acknowledge her.

The moon gave off a heavenly glint as it stretched its beams over the Alpine mountains where the grand Château De Fontenelle was nestled away from the prying eye of non-magical pests. The ground shone white with snow. The elegant home of Ms De Fontenelle was where the alliance gathered to discuss next steps, mingle with one another and possibly be selected by The Morningstar himself to become a member of his Inner Circle. Cohesion and a sense of family was of the utmost importance to the leader of the New Hope, but having those who were in on the true intent was the only way to keep it from falling apart.

Prove oneself indispensable and devoted and it was almost guaranteed that one would be initiated in due time. The Morningstar lounged in a high backed chair with a raven haired woman beside him. Verona De Fontenelle.

"The time is near Verona. Make sure there are no stragglers at the gates. If there are, you must greet them warmly, as the beautiful hostess you are." The young man slipped a finger under the woman's chin, meeting her gaze with almost deadly intensity. The woman lowered her head in awed submission before reluctantly stepping away from him.
"Bring them up here for the meeting. I have an important task to delegate."

Most of the meeting's participants had already arrived and were instructed to wait in one of the largest drawing rooms of the grand château until Morningstar was ready to address them. There were many new recruits to beguile and one particular acquisition Clarion was most eager to possess.

"A Minds ever thought looms ..."

It was a glorious eve all things considered, as the moon lightly kissed over the alpine and looked ever glowingly upon the grand snow topped mountains. Pyotr, a rather above average height man with a slim figure dressed in nearly all black but of the finest materials and most beautiful of suits complete with a three piece ensemble, as the vest lay rested over the matching shirt and beneath his jacket with noticable buttons that shined in the light yet didn't overtake the gaze of one that admired the suit as a whole. The fine vest was lightly of pin striped and perhaps much softer and silkier then it's paired jacket and shirt, while a simple yet elegant and beautiful antique pocket watch rested in a pocket as the chain drapes across as was the intent and normal for such design and style. A bowler hat nestled gently in this figures hands slightly turned ever slowly as his fingertips felt the smooth texture of his hat and awaited for the invitation to be seen as was rather appropriate and custom for a night such as this one....

A near absent look gazing upon the moon and slightest, faintest of smiles escaping his restraint and breaking into the lines of his normally vacant expression. A classical piece playing ever so beautifully in his mind as the tune played perfectly into the night underneath a so fitting moon for the song that played in mind for him. A single admirer and lone audience of his mind listening, eyes almost closed and head lightly swaying with hands gesturing in mimicked maestro of such a performance yet..... Neither his eyes nor hands in reality performed either resting of eyes in relaxed joy nor of motion to signify his followed and loved display in grand gesture. It was all simply in his mind.....

The figure was none other than one, Pyotr Christian Mikhailov, all together he wasn't the most well known man of wizard or muggle kind and to that he preferred. He hadn't the desire to become so bothered with such attention. Merely left alone to do as he pleased and learn as he liked, even if..... Perhaps something all together different lay underneath the surface struggling to free itself more openly and freely in its own right. Control. Control was a dangerous thing.... A battle that when left alone was a silent risk everyone took in life and he was ever embattled now..... Such annoyance.

But in certain parts.... Maybe quiet whispers and hushed voices spoke of a man or woman, a figure of some kind going around and causing terror with his interrogations of sorts. Still nothing of real known status but a small and perhaps brief history that Pyotr himself can rest his head on and claim as his own.... If true. Thus his perhaps moniker?

Awaiting in the appropriate and desired place to be. Pyotr merely stood and continued on within his quieted manner hat in hand as so and turned ever slowly and gently. All the While in his mind a symphony played in masterful beauty and his mannerisms were all together much different yet he was aware and slight notices could be made about him.

Another early morning, never one of Sinéad’s fortes. But with as much gumption as she could muster, she walked the halls of the Ministry of Magic. It was not unfamiliar to her, in fact the halls had begun to feel like home to her within her year she’d been in training. She passed the looming fountain, splashing and bubbling in a way she always appreciated. Though she didn’t mind the commotion, the fountain was a small piece of solace in the bustle. The woman took a deep breath, readying herself for another day. It had been mostly boring office work until late, when muggles has begun dying under… mysterious circumstances. Their own police force had been blaming wild animals, but for the wizarding world? All signs pointed to something a bit more sinister.

Weaving her way through bodies and up floors, Sinéad finally entered the Auror’s office. She gave Mr. Potter a nod, as she often did. Surveying the room, she saw a few familiar faces, and one new one. Saga, Patrick, and this new woman were all grouped together. It was exciting, having new faces in the office. Nothing against the old ones, but Sinéad loved to scope people out. Putting on a smile, the woman approached the trio.

"Hi, I haven't seen ya here before, are ya new trainee?" she asked the younger woman, voice dripping with a Southern Irish accent.

Metamorphmagus -Rookie Auror
Ministry of magic
a bit lost but excited
interactions

interactions come here

A week in London…...A week of visiting with her parents before they headed off to teach at Hogwarts and Her debut as a rookie auror. Fable was excited and full of hope that this was going to be another grand adventure. Having been a student at both Hogwarts and Beauxbatons…but she was excited to potentially meet more people and hopefully see more of the work. Besides…..Fable was more than happy to get away from her parents who had begged her to reconsider her choice in careers. Being a teacher was fine and dandy, yeah but she had no intention of following her parents' footsteps. Nope! But today was the day! The day of the big auror and Fable was running late as always. Yeah, the metamorphmagus had to hurry. Yup! She did!

But Fable hadn’t a clue where to even go. She had never step foot in the London auror office. After a good long time of wandering the city. Before she saw some other people mention the building and She ran off in the direction that the group pointed out. Ah yes! Fable may make it on time! Hurray! That would be a first since graduating school. She’d only graduated from wizarding school a year prior, and she had still on the rose-colored glasses of the wizarding world! Before she finally made it to the outside of the building. Uh Yeah…Now How does one get inside? Yeah……She had to figure that part out first. Scratching her head for a moment before she saw someone who looked like they were headed to the ministry head for the phone box. Ah yeah hidden in sight duh! Fable felt a bit embrassed. “Pardon!!! may I come with?” She called out waving her hand as she ran to go join them. But the whole ride down it was full of awkward silence. Her hair changing for red to green to purple out of nervousness. Hopefully She wouldn’t muck this up!

Once they had made it too the main spot. It was big much to Fable’s surprise. Her home base of the French auror headquarters was a bit less massive. But it was just as ornate inside! She gave a sheepish smile as she stepped out of the elevator thing and as she ran out of the elevator to avoid any more awkward conversations. She tripped over her one hastily tied shoes and fell practically flat on her face. A much louder thump than one would expect echoed as she fell down. She didn’t look it but she was one of the beaters back on the quidditch team back in the day. Oh, what a way to introduce herself. She slowly pushed herself up before brushing herself off and acting like absolutely nothing happened. The smile returning to her face as she fixed the laces before looking back to the worker who was now laughing. “Well, Oops! Care to point me in the direction of the auror offices?” She asked politely. Giving her thanks as she was told directions and off, she went.

What a way to make a first impression but luckily it was only just that one worker. So, Fable still had her chance to make a better first impression! Yeah! She can do this. She straightened out her blouse and skirt before going off in the correct direction. “Okay Fae…You can do this” She muttered under her breath to herself. She can make a good first impression this time yeah! She walked the long halls and her brown eyes glanced around looking at all the decorations. Frowning a bit at some of the images she saw. She grimaced a bit. But that was something she could think about another time…. Yeah! She had to focus on getting through this meeting and seeing how she could make the best impression! Yup! She can do this! Yeah! She cannot muck this up!

When she finally pushed open the door. Scanning the room for anyone she knew as She walked into the room and found a place to stand a way. Remembering her mother’s advice…Stay calm….Be polite and just be yourself. Yes! Fable can definitely be herself and she kept looking to see who would be good to introduce herself too first.

"This hit, that ice cold Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold"
A subtle but present sway in place and most of all purposely restrained from breaking loose especially here of all places. While the words played and beat struck in his head to the tune of Uptown funk. Also mindful of his coffee and paper not to spill or drop aside from hopefully avoiding notice of his danceful step that would certainly appear out of place and not Auror like in professionalism. He was all but unaware as he gazed upon the room with a smile and happy breath escaping him as heels lifted then placed back down again.

"Stylin', willin'..." Patrick thought along in mind to the tune. "Livin' it up in the city" He continued with a slight motion of his head forward as it crossed his mind in recited song yet a sudden touch had nearly frozen him still with a widen gaze. Completely stopped in mind and interrupted by someone with his only thoughts now ranging wildly from embarrassment, what did he do? To was he that noticable and caught? Wait ..... I was careful? Ah! Man! All in the shortest of spans running through in his mind, now convinced he was ruined on the first day with everyone present and first impressions and all.... He had desperately tried to appear and act more professional. Mild cursing that fit more of a pg show or even a youthful child avoiding trouble with their parents by cursing but not really using the more adult and explicit words

A self censoring young adult that rarely cursed for real and always mindful of it. But shocked still as he remained in the moment frozen and many thoughts running through his mind in a instant. Slowly turning to the face the one that had touched him to gain his attention. As he turned his widen still gaze those very eyes filled evermore bright and cheerful again perhaps even more so, a wide and cheesy smile crossing his features almost immediately the more he came face to face with the lady he could instantly recognize.

"LEEE.....ANDRAAA!!!" He popped into a bubbly and drawn out reaction. Stoked, hardly able to contain his happiness to see his bestie once again. It had been seemingly years since he last saw her..... Well maybe not years but it had been sometime since Ilvermony and they both went on their ways and onto their new respective journeys that has since led them both into the Aurors. "Lea! Ooohh! Awwwwesome!....." Patrick continued pausing now struck with a conundrum of sorts uncertain to hug his old friend or keep it professional given the time, place and maybe the gap between seeing each other. Would she be bothered by a hug? Too much? Again the mind of Patty was off and running quick spurts from one end to the other trying to cover all possibilities and what was best....

Settling on a compromised approach with a gentle hand giving a warm welcome to her shoulder and arm while his happiness to see her again was likely evident to show the rest. After all he was really trying to improve himself and not embarrass Lea, others or himself much less cross any lines. "So good to see you again! It's been ages hasn't it?..... Only wish it was under better..... Riiiighttt, gotcha! But seriously good to see you again bestie and welcome to London! And welcome to the Aurors office! More spacious then it looks too..... I'd be terribly poor of state right now if it wasn't." Patrick rambled seemingly a mile per second. *Self realization moment kicks in again* "Right.... Sorry. Working on it .... But truly, welcome Lea! How have you been? Good I hope and trust!" He added

"Looking great as always!" Patrick added in once more and bringing himself to a close in what was probably and finally allowing Leandra to respond. Meanwhile noticed a familiar face and fellow rookie enter into the room and approach the pair giving a kind and warm nod and smile in response to Sinèad as she approached and offered a smile. Now balancing his notice and attention to everyone present. A second notice soon after followed as a new face perhaps or fellow rookie maybe that had just entered the room. Once more Patrick offering a kind and warm smile with a accompanied nod to her while keeping fully of attention and smiles to all.

Maximilian Adams.

Maximilian was on time, and if you knew him, this would surprise you. He was ever the fan of fashionably late entrances. However, he was smart enough to realize that a stunt like that would not gain one any allies here. So despite the fact that it felt so… common to be on time, better safe than sorry he supposed.

As he sat on a rather ornate couch, he surveyed his surroundings. The house was luxurious, certainly the owner had good taste. It was perhaps a bit old fashioned, but so were his families’ estates. It was the price of keeping status with other old money families. A certain style, a certain je ne sais quoi. He noticed several other potentials around him, but his eyes found an older man dressed in a pinstripe suit. He was dressed almost as well as Maximilian himself was. He watched the man’s hand as it moved back and forth, compelled by some unheard music. It was a fluid motion. What an interesting man.

Maximilian continued to observe, reaching inside his silk-lined suit and pulling a cigarette out. Waving it, he quietly recited an incantation, and the tip alighted for a moment, before burning out to leave it smoldering. The only wandless magic the man had ever been able to figure out was that one trick, specifically because it looked so much better than a lighter could.

Mentions- Saga, Fable, Leandra, Sinèad & Patrick

"I shall walk through the valley"
A taller man broad enough shoulders, head near shaven save for what remained atop his head in dark blonde almost flowing manner often to one side or another even perhaps on rare angle towards the front of his head. A series of intricate design either tattooed or painted upon his face and head namely the one side more then any other. A darkened blonde beard with notable thicker mustache that stood out just a tad more then normal for such a goateed look of facial hair. Dressed in simple and durable attire of some traditional style, a overlaying seemingly heavy vest that mimicked a Vikings armor worn over his tunic that had a softer material undershirt beneath it just as the vest lay upon the tunic. A thick belt much wider and more obvious then normal and common modern belts work around it all and his waist. There was nothing all together fancy or fashionable about his appearance only unique perhaps.

The figure was plain of expression and worn of thought. Tired maybe. But he'd have been hard tried to ever show it. Truthfully the night was cold and his sleep limited to a few hours during his sleep in the vast, dark and deep wilderness from his which arrived in London from having chosen to visit some old friends of the animal kind, a simple check in and hello. But even still he was timely enough, still a fashioned herbal tea in hand and ignoring the papers for now as he knew and heard well enough for the world's happenings.

A Finnish song being hummed. A soft and deep sound emanating from his hushed voice as his mind cleared to a greater focus. Long had he walked, longer since he had last seen home for any real length of time. A constant and ever wandering soul that now for some years served the ministry. But even so Väinö had always been a wandering person of rare instances of staying long in one place..... Sometimes home wasn't a place or thing but a mere feeling and comfort. If so, the homeland yet remained his home even if he wasn't there now or in some time for any length of it. He could only hope his people were safe enough. Only hope other creatures and beings were alright and not so foolish to believe the cause and whatever it may be that was rallying or stirring up such attacks now. What was behind all this and why?

Tragedy piling atop foolishness and anger.... Must be a better way.

Walking through the halls of the ministry and noting his daily routine of walking past that very fountain and softly shaking his head as usual. A mixed feeling about it all. Both nice, beautiful and pleasant to have yet much lay deeper at the hidden meaning that could be taken from it all. All he could ever manage was to shake his head and grunt softly. Steps. Steps. Steps. Just one step before another and it will be fine just given time and less reading into the potential veiled meanings. A simple and ever mindful reoccurring advice he tell himself each morning amidst his stroll past, eyes notice and shaking of his head as he grunted softly in mixed feeling.

Taking the path he always did and arriving at the offices doors, eyes peeled towards the new faces and familiar. A present hum remaining but a smile and nod with narrowed brow accompanied it. First looking upon a growing group of younger faces and Aurors gathered around one another in delighted and bright manner bringing a grin to his face as he hummed some more. Then towards another young lass off a bit from the others in where she stood and seemed quiet but still something positive about this one too.... He offered her a smile of its own and nod. "Morning Miss, hope your morning has been well..... And not to worry all the biters have gone home for the day." Väinö joked with warmth and kind of intentions and genuine wish of her morning having been good. while putting his coat up on the rack after having taken it off and keeping his tea in hand without a single spill or drop leaving his cup. "Name's Väinö... A pleasure young one." He introduced himself

He then looked towards Saga noting her coffee as per his usual. A smile again fashioned into a corner grin and eye towards her.... "Aamu Saga, Hyvää teetä, joka maistui tänä aamuna." Väinö grinned in raised cup and cheers motion before taking a long sip of tea. 'Translation; Fine tea, ever pleasant this morning' A growing routine each morning of his to refer to his tea in some form or fashion or speak of it nicely. A aimed subtle if possibly grown to annoy measure hoping to put into Saga's mind that perhaps she'd enjoy a tea over coffee as it would be much healthier for her and he was caring of and mindful to her health as was hopefully noted in evidence of his intent and willing to risk backlash of some kind from the fellow veteran Auror.

The boy's hands trembled as he stared at the destruction he had caused. Hot salty tears threatened to well up from his piercing blue eyes and the lump in his throat was making it increasingly hard to breathe. Corinth simply could not control the black mass that plagued him any longer. He had not meant to kill them, but as he knelt beside the now ravaged, pale and lifeless bodies of his parents, he felt no true remorse. For what they had done to him they deserved what had befallen them. He had been trying for over ten minutes to feel something toward their demise but to no avail. The reason he was on the verge of tears had nothing to do with them, but the rush of overwhelming power he had felt when he had caused them to drop from the balcony and heard the snap of the bones in their neck. He had done it all without moving an inch. A rumble of power had simply risen up from within and attacked them for him. Perhaps he could get it to serve him, whatever it was?

He took a look around the living room which was now almost nothing but rubble, and it finally dawned upon him that the police would no doubt have been sent out by the muggles. What if they had seen what he did? His breath quickening, the boy forced his feet to move. He left the house as swiftly as he could, unsure of where he would go or how he would survive. All he knew was that he needed to find others like himself. The sound of police sirens panicked him and he made a run toward the main roads of Ealing, out of breath already as he dove into an alleyway, keeping his back to the wall and fighting the urge to cry again. What was he going to do? He did not know. He was beginning to feel scared and the dark mass was once again rumbling up inside him. Without meaning to, he caused a metal bin to explode. The eleven year old cursed under his breath, a curse word his father often used on him before Corinth had brought about his demise. The thought of his dead parents sent a flicker of a triumphant smile across his face.

The sound of crunching white powder beneath her feet was satisfying to the vampire as she trudged her way to the top of the hill where the anonymous message had directed her toward her destination of Château De Fontenelle. The biting cold didn't bother her one bit since her transformation. She had only been hired to take people out and paid a handsome sum for it at that, so she was not expecting the invite to a general meeting amongst what was being called 'The New Hope Alliance.'

New hope for what? Vague platitudes... She thought as lights from windows came shining through the growing darkness and the snowflakes in the air swirled in the golden light like magic itself. It really was a château. Pretentious.

A regal woman dressed in black stood at the gates of the manor home. Even from the short distance, Jolie could sense her blood boiling beneath her skin, both literally and figuratively. The dark haired woman at the gate was staring her down, sizing her up. Seething with hatred, but when the vampire approached her, she plastered on a smile that did not reach her eyes.

"Miss Hayle, welcome. I am Madame De Fontenelle." The woman said her own name with an air of importance in an accent that was implacable but clipped. She was anything but welcome but Jolie nodded.
"Thank you."

De Fontenelle extended an arm in gesture toward her home as she began to lead Jolie in. She said no more than she needed to and Jolie was glad of it. The home was beautiful, gothic in style, a detail that the vampire could appreciate, cliche as it may be. There were already a few people in the room tow which she was led. Her interest was mainly directed toward two men that De Fontenelle herself had taken note of with two very different reactions.

One of them was stood quietly away from the din. Well-dressed. Seemed to be the solitary sort and quite lost in his own thoughts. The other was clearly of 'good stock' because he lounged about in one of the fancy couches as if he belonged there and had the audacity to smoke. Then again, given De Fontenelle's reaction to him, she doubted that he did not have her permission. She regarded the first man with dismissal for only a moment, whilst practically looking upon the second with something akin to admiration and possible fondness.

Jolie made an imperceptible wrinkle of her nose in disgust at the display. Compared to the two men and her hostess, Jolie was underdressed, only wearing a simple cap-sleeved black dress and functional black shoes. Certainly not dressed for fancy meetings or snow.

She did not sit, nor bother with polite introductions. She stood and watched them all in cold silence hoping this meeting would begin quickly.

Leandra was greeted with her friend's usual effervescence. She had missed his excitability and enthusiasm. The way he delighted in simple things. Training at MACUSA with all the overly serious, definitely traumatised wizards could get exhausting when having to filter out their thoughts, but Patrick's were nearly always filled with positivity when they weren't anxious or incoherent.

"Patty!" she had almost hugged him, but they both seemed to decide against it at the same time and she let him greet her in a more professionally appropriate way. "Well it really has been a while. Almost three years since graduating huh?" She giggled a little as she leaned in conspiratorially. "Have you been laying off the coffee? No? Oh something's never change."

It was then she turned to the woman who had walked over to them both and seemed to know Patrick. They trained together. Sinèad, what a pretty name! Lea would need to remember not to mention it until the woman introduced herself. She never liked to make people uncomfortable with her legilimency. Leandra smiled brightly and held out her hand to shake.

"Hi, I haven't seen ya here before, are ya new trainee?"

"Well it's my second year of training but first time here at the Ministry of Magic. I'm Leandra, by the way and can I just say I adore your outfit and your beautiful accent?" Leandra never flattered with her compliments. They were always sincere, if somewhat over the top due to her sunny disposition. It usually disarmed people how candid she could be.
"It's really nice to meet you, Sinèad..." She faltered a moment, looking embarrassed and apologetic. "Oh, I'm sorry. You hadn't introduced yourself....I suppose now's as good a time as any to let you know I'm a legilimens. Born that way though, so I can't really help it..."

Her explanation was interrupted once more by very chaotic thoughts almost similar to the cadence of Patrick's. Another girl, younger than her entered the room with a shock of bright pink hair. Lea looked over and offered her a warm smile.

"Hi there!"

werewolf Guest appearance by Sylvester Selwyn

A letter….

A letter from the ministry…..

What was going on here? That was the last thing Somnus was expecting to ever get an owl from living in such seclusion. He knew He was a safety risk due to his lycanthropy, something He knew far to well. But alas Here was a letter asking him to go to the ministry. He knew better than to refuse. The letter stated an auror would be coming by shortly to come and get him. Before He could even react to the letter. A knock came from the front door of the small cottage. He slowly rose to his feet to go open the door. Taking in a breath before He opened the door taking a few blinks before awkwardly waving. " H-Hello?" He stammered stepping back for a moment. Not used to seeing many people except for when he went to go get supplies in town.

Sylvester was standing there looking at him watch. " Hello....I have come on behalf the ministry to come take you to headquarters for something- can't speak of it here " He spoke firmly but kind. He gave off a very fathery vibe.

Somnus nodded and stepped locking the cottage.

Before the two quickly apparated to the ministry. Before Sylvester lead him in to meet with the other after going through the guest telephone enterance and getting the proper stuff needed to get him to the meeting. " You will be fine Champ" Sylvester reassured before walking him in. " Just find a place to relax and all will be answered soon!" He replied before leading Somnus by himself to go greet his daughter. " Hey Kiddo you missed me?!" He chuckled ruffling her hair softly.

Leaving Somnus to awkwardly stand in the doorway all by himself. He was shaking in fear of all the aurors in front of him. Did He do something wrong? Was He in trouble? He was terrified.

TL;DR He apparates into the Ministry of Magic's atrium and has a conversation with an old teacher of his who's surprised to see him, but confident he will do well. Its revealed that Sebastian cut ties with his family. He side steps past Somnus to enter the office, and nods at the familiar Harry potter who was the godson of his uncle Sirius.
tl;dr
Sebastian Black
we've all got light and dark inside us. what matters is the side we choose to act on.
The young wizard materialised in a lengthy and magnificent hallway with a polished, dark wooden floor. High overhead, the peacock-blue ceiling was adorned with glowing golden symbols that regularly shifted and changed, resembling a grandiose magical notice board. It would’ve been a sight to behold to a muggle, I’m sure, but to the wizards that passed through the atrium on the daily, most of whom having spent their formative years surrounded by the architecture of Hogwarts and global wizarding schools alike, the Ministry of Magic was simply a workplace.

Sebastian earned his Apparition licence when he was seventeen. He could use the spell long before then as a result of his parents' rigorous training, but warping through reality was uncomfortable even with his familiarity. Feeling unpleasant was nothing he couldn’t handle, at least. Apparating got him from one place to another with great haste so he used it when convenient despite the risks, and the atrium was memorable enough to Sebastian that he could envision said destination with only two weeks as a rookie Auror under his belt.

“My goodness, if it isn’t Sebastian Black!” a man remarked jovially, revealing himself immediately afterwards. “So the rumours are true!”

“Professor Glasc, it’s good to see you.”
Sebastian replied, the stoic expression on his face shifting into a smile as he shook the older man’s hand. Glasc, a well-spoken and portly gentleman in his fifties or sixties, was employed at Hogwarts for several years during Sebastian's time as a student there. A lot had changed since then, but the ex-teacher didn't seem different in the slightest.

“Likewise! Please do call me Arthur. And err.. Well, if it isn’t rude to ask, what on earth happened? If I’m honest, I never thought I'd see the day.”

There it was—what most who recognised him were always dying to ask.

“I fancied a change of scenery.” Sebastian jested, his joke distracting from the fact that he didn’t want to go much into detail.

“Ha, splendid!” Arthur responded, thankfully prying no further than that. “You should know that I’m expecting the best from you, Sebastian. If you’re half the wizard you were four years ago, I have no doubt your training will go magnificently.” he commended.

“I won’t let you down.” the dark-haired male assured, fully intending to live up to whatever expectations he had to. That was the thing about Sebastian—he was finally completely free from the control of his parents, yet he still physically needed to be excellent, even when no one was watching. He knew they were no longer capable of reprimanding him for being anything less than perfect, but it had been like that for so long that being textbook “perfect”, at least when it came to practising magic, was the only thing he knew.

“Re-mar-kable.” Arthur gleamed. “Anyways! I'm sure you have somewhere to be—I’ll let you be on your way.”

With a respectful nod, Sebastian bid Arthur Glasc farewell. Though it was nice to see a friendly and familiar face, he was glad that the conversation didn’t drag on like he’d been expecting it to. Arthur was right. Sebastian did have somewhere to be, and the sooner he found out what the meeting was about, the better.

When Sebastian finally reached the office, he side-stepped his way past another young male who stood in the doorway. “Excuse me” he said habitually as he passed him by to enter. He soon saw a congregation of eight-or-so people that had arrived before him. Sebastian’s green-eyed gaze first landed on none other than Mr Potter, the two of them exchanging a nod and a familiar smile.

Being the nephew of Harry’s late godfather, Sirius Black, Sebastian had spoken to the Head of the Auror Office a number of times since cutting ties with his elitist family and ending up on this unlikely path, but all that Harry would disclose about the meeting in advance was that Sebastian was going to be meeting with someone. It seemed that “someone” had been an understatement, because looking around, he realised hardly he recognised anyone in the room.

Lysander Lupin

Lysander had been outside making sure all the magical creatures in the barn for the Ministry were well-feed and warm in this cold weather. The male was bundled up tightly due to the cold weather layered heavily. He knew He had to head inside soon as the auror meeting would commence soon. The winter being as cold as it was, the magizoologist in training wanted to make sure all the creatures big and small had everything they could need before someone else was mostly taking over his duties as he was focus on becoming an auror.

When He finally had every critter settled, fed and nice and warm. He glanced around trying to find where his beloved Niffler, Whisk was. “ Whisk where are you?” He called out looking everywhere for the fuzzy little dark critter. The niffler was already outside the barn, holding the young man’s keys with a smug grin. “ Don’t you dare!” He warned sternly.

The niffler simply turned around and shoved the keys into it’s pouch before running off towards an crowded hallway. “ Get back here Whisk” He yelled out running off after the Niffler just barely behind it.

It didn’t take too long before reaching the long hallway of the ministry and The niffler decided to run off towards the first shiny thing it saw. He apologized profusely as He weaved in and out of people as He was chasing down his niffler. The mischievous critter was quite the chore today. Lysander finally spotted it picking up some coins it had found on the ground. He put a finger up to his lips to have everyone be quiet as He crept up behind the creature. It turning it’s head just in time to notice the brown haired young man as It ran off once more.

He let out a sigh. “ Come on Whisk! Give me my keys!” He called out after the Niffler chasing it through the small village. The critter just barely out of reach as He chased in around in circles through the halls of the ministry unfortunately ending up in the room with all the other aurors. Hoping someone could come and help him soon corner the tricky little critter. He loved that niffler dearly but today was not the day to steal his keys.

“ Anyone have anything shiny they can throw to distract him for a second?!” He called out hopeful. He was at his wits end with this critter.

It was not long before the next person arrived to the office. An excitable looking young man. Far too excitable looking for this place in any case. She did not look up from her work fully, but she didn't need to in order to sense this boy's chaotic demeanour. He seemed vaguely familiar to Saga. Most likely a trainee here at the Ministry of Magic. From what she had read and reread, almost all of the new recruits were.

Shortly after him came a young woman dressed in soft shades of pink and...heels? Hardly functional, but perhaps it was meant as a misdirection of sorts. The metamorphmagus could appreciate a good misdirection. From there more and more people filed in one after the other: a girl with shocking pink hair who kept her distance from the rest...and then someone familiar caught her attention and she very slightly lowered her paper as the towering figure of Väinö Järvinen entered the room. She lowered her cold blue gaze back to her paper and took a long sip of scorching black coffee.

She did not need to observe her colleague anymore to know that he was hanging up his coat without spilling a drop of herbal tea or that he was greeting everyone with an easygoing manner. Any moment now he would walk over to her table. Five, four, three, two....one:
"Aamu Saga, Hyvää teetä, joka maistui tänä aamuna." He spoke in his native Finnish, a language entirely separate from her native Swedish and yet by now she understood most things he spoke to her, and he all of the things she said in her mother tongue. Once again, he was trying to get her to switch from her beloved coffee to herbal teas.

"Kanske imorgon." She said softly as was always her reply. Maybe tomorrow. It never was tomorrow.....

It was then she heard a clamorous commotion and someone new entered the room along with a something too. A little black niffler.

The young man asked for help cornering the creature, who had circled the feet of the pink clad girl and darted under Harry Potter's now vacant desk. Saga got to her feet, calm as ever and unlatched her shiny silver necklace from around her neck.

She lowered herself to eye level of the niffler and approached. "Come now little one," She dangled the shiny piece of jewellery at eye level, "Look at the pretty necklace..."

The niffler sniffed and then reemerged eagerly trying to grab at the necklace. As he did, Saga caught him up carefully in her arms, tight enough that he could not escape and gave him the necklace. She walked over to the male with an impassive expression and presented him with his companion

"Your niffler." She nodded.

A morning routine dipped in ever trying manner to persuade his own colleague into joining him on the Herbal teas squad. It was often and always met with the same form of answer. But still he persisted even if he was never successful it was least worthwhile to him. This very morning, entering the room, taking off his coat and preserving his cup of tea as he greeted the young pink haired lady and rookie Auror that stood off on her own. Once again attempting his very tempt of offer to Saga to join him. A smile graced his features as his ears awaited the answer, brown eyes gazing towards her own cold blue eyes meeting them soft and warmly.

'Kanske Imorgon' She spoke softly. Maybe tomorrow..... It was the common response to their routine he started some time ago for each morning. Oh nothing too long that it boarded on insane or anything. But still a routine that he was fully aware has become expected no matter how he tries to switch it up. Ah well, one more failure, another tomorrow, hmm? His eyes remained soft and turned slightly to match his playful grin, his tone and what would be his parting sentiment for the topic of tea and tomorrow. "Härnätä....." He softly and playfully spoke once more speaking in his native Finnish. A lighthearted calling of her a tease that was no way meant as a insult, taunt or being mean but only a playful banter. Even while knowing their respective native tongues were different there still was a growing understanding of one another, their words and speech least well enough to converse.

It was even a laid back method of learning and understanding more of her native Swedish. All the while not drawing so much attention in office to his conversations and playful manners around the capable blond figure he had come to consider at the very least ystävä, a friend, besides colleague. Meanwhile an adorable niffler had since come into the room with a bit of chaotic fun accompanying him, darting off til eventually underneath mister potters desk, a young man soon after appearing in request of help to corner and capture the adorable creature.

Väinö couldn't but smile with a warm grin admiring the sight personally. Fun little one that niffler in his opinion, always being one for a bit of chaos and good times that could be harmless enough.... Surely. He remained still noting Saga's calm approach as she moved to lend a hand utilizing her silver necklace to gain the little ones attention and grabbing the niffler and walking over to the young man personally. He nodded at the sight while taking that moment of Saga handing the Niffler over to the young man, using that time to move away from her desk and make way over to his own.

It seemed he would have a small bit of time before the meeting. While others conversed, gathered around one another and seemed joyful their first day all together. Väinö took a moment knowing it had been a few days since his last release of pressure, a measure of tension and chaotic weight pressing against the gates of his control. The job an Auror was never always just fun and games. Being part troll was never so simple and fun. Control was always at the forefront of his mind especially now with such a job and publicity being what it always was, even more difficult now days to navigate in peace away from unwanted spotlight to highlight every matter for ones own gain. Though he wouldnt be able to truly put to use one of his routine methods of release and expression to ease his mind and heart, temper his blood from boiling over into something far worse.

So, instead this morning he'd move to his desk and seat himself down on the long since broken-in chair, his cup of tea sat down upon the desk with the paper his own copy set down alongside it. Pools of dark brown closing shut, ears still aware yet mind drifting into a hybrid state of meditation allowing his body to relax and ultimately, if only slightly and temporarily relieve some of that inner pressure like a loosened valve.

The wonders of what three years could mean to best friends throughout Wizardry and witchcraft school could mean in terms of difference. First year having first met through a false presence of Patty trying to be someone he wasn't in order and hopes of fitting in and being more like his brother, Antoine. Less nerdy and awkward of clumsy mixed with a hyperactive energy that just seemed to overflow into a bubbly excitement like a puppy. No, he was certain he'd become a ever charming ladies man full of charisma and good looks. It was a considerable failure yet blossomed into what would become his greatest luck in life, meeting his ever patient and lovely bestie, Leandra Goldstein. All the ups and downs over that span of years, putting up with all his Patty-ness shall we say to now.

Three years, wow, it was a shock to begin with and difficult enough for him not to stick around the states, back home, going into Auror training at MACUSA with Lea. But he didn't instead venturing to the UK, an adventure he once called it and oh how he did like adventures. But maybe while difficult he maintained with himself it was necessary. He must grow and learn to better himself, improve upon his weaknesses and social annoyances he could cause with his 'Patty-Ness' it simply could be called in short. Lea was a lifesaver but it asked a great deal to always rely on her to save him. To help him through his anxieties. Not to mention a rather big and regular headache he'd be for her still, no, couldn't he convinced himself. Plus, mom too could ever be at risk if staying in the States even if he was only a Auror in training and not a well known James Bond in the wizarding world with loved and cherished ones being targeted by villains.

Well, maybe more like Q, let's be honest even in his dreams and fantasies did he ever see himself as the James Bond role. Or even that guy from the 'Taken' series with all the memes for what he'd personally consider a average at best movie in its genre. Though still, Liam was still a great actor with many other incredible movies in Patrick's opinion. Oh?! Right, right, not important here. But still three years and everything that's come to be since and now finally....

Patrick was reunited with his Best friend and gem of a lifesaver, Leandra. A grin and held chuckle at her asking about his coffee habits and if he's laid off any. That was a clear no, Patty wouldn't even know where to begin without his coffee. Doesn't really help against those who'd say he really needs to cut back or quit his coffee addiction altogether. "Three years, Wow! Who would of thought, huh? Feels like just yesterday sometimes." He replied with a smile and usual Patty self. "Ah, well, No .... Nothing has changed there honestly. Unless you consider Tumbler Espresso Tuesdays, kinda like taco Tuesdays... Which then became more like my Thursdays here, mixing tacos with espresso I learned was a bad combination in one day.... Oh! Right. Regardless I'm told it was a very bad idea for me though with tumbler espressos. Could only imagine why..... Who wouldn't love more Espresso in one convenient go...."

He continued to smile and be ever cheerful and excited. Lea was here. So many new faces entering the room with Saga, oop Ms. Lindqvist who was already here. A weary seeming guy in the doorway accompanied by Mr. Sylvester Selwyn. Plus there was the pink haired girl, Fable and mister Väinö Järvinen as well. Then of course appeared another similar aged fella to himself squeezing through the door and another man too. Though seemingly far more in a hurry, a obvious and more necessary and careful hurry as a little niffler scattered through the office past Lea's heels, the various feet of everyone and to the underside of Mr. Potters desk.

The brief conversation in Finnish and swedish ending and Ms. Lindqvist taking calm and reserved action. Successfully luring into her arms with a silver necklace she often if not always wore them bringing it carefully over to the young man. Honestly it was rather remarkable in his opinion with how calm and unphazed she seemed to be.

Arnaldus Q. Weasley
large-1496245546-95323dbb330772d6d6d82fc43476cc3f.jpg

The morning seemed long and usually predictable outside of a difference here or there. The news briefly scanned over by glancing at others papers and mainly looking at the pictures that seemed telling enough for his interests. Of course, News was always delivering bad, sad and/or indifferent news to fill the times. Proper good stories were a rare sight. Well, least to Arnaldus they seemed far more rare then what is often drawn up and written for the masses and scattered into the verse itself.

Sad business learning of werewolves attacking. Victims laying dead and mauled or perhaps worse pending your opinion on the matter of cursed bloods and such things. An interesting tale with its own complexities and issues all of which were too deep for his mind this early nor enough to maintain his still waking up minds interest. He didn't drink coffee or tea, didn't delve into energy drinks. Just waters, juices, milks of different kinds and the more adult of beverages perhaps on occasion. Nothing but time and others natural stimulates to waken him.

He packed light, dressed in a mix of casual and business, replacing the common tie or bowtie with a fashionable scarf that was left untied and hanging around his neck and laying on either side of his chest. Overtop a plain lightly dotted white button up shirt and grey chino pants with a simple grey dress coat that had a plain white handkerchief tucked simply in pocket and matching grey dress shoes that were nearly boots in design, a hybrid shoe fashionable taste but practical in wear and design. No watch. No bag. Just his bare necessities and of course his favorite little companion, Sly.

A cheeky little Bowtruckle that was rather fond of Arnaldus just as AQ was of him. Many little scrapes and close calls together and always they could rely on one another to get out just fine. While Arnaldus had become more serious and workaholic over the years it was a nice little contrast to Sly, a trickster and useful little green rogue that stayed tucked away and hidden always on AQ's person. Usually in a pocket somewhere or tucked behind areas of clothing like the specific folds and the like.

Meanwhile Arnaldus nodded and gave brief glimpses of a smile to each and every face that greeted him on the way in. It was very likely he was the last or close to last person to arrive this morning, Potter surely wouldn't be surprised. Nor perhaps anyone really, it was common for Arnaldus to be fashionably late and rarely with any good reasons to be worth mentioning. Just simply a slight cheek of a response, 'I'm not late, I have arrived precisely when I intended ' often his phrase. What good was a nice and memorable quote from a legendary fictional character and one of the books outside of school Arnaldus could actually recall reading and enjoying, if he couldn't make use of a few quotes here and there when it served him? Not that it really ever worked.

likely what saved him was perhaps his workaholic habits. If anything did really. Making his way into the ministry and up towards the Aurors office, caught within a morning hustle that was entirely his own fault admittedly, poor timing on his part. However upon finally reaching the doors of the Aurors office still standing within that hallway and contemplating whether to just walk in normally or blend in? Taking from within his coat and tracing the hilt of his wand with the tips of his fingers.... The thought loomed within his mind. Meanwhile Sly tugged and pulled at his collar aiming to get Arnaldus's attention, growing more persistent as efforts went on, so much so he nearly caused himself to fall out of place and towards the ground.

The red haired wizard slipped his opposite hand out from his coat pocket and gently caught his little friend before ever crossing his mid section and towards the hall floors. Swiftly raising him back towards the brim and collar of his coat allowing Sly to get back to his spot of comfort and cover. 'Really my friend, This is not a good time to play. 'Arnaldus whispered quietly to him whilst shaking his head to the Bowtruckles sarcastic and rather rude reply. Even while thankful for the hand it was still often accompanied with cheek by the young fella.

'Not very pleasant this morning are we Sly ... 'He commented quietly back with a slight corner grin and taking out from his dress coat his willow wand, giving it a nice twirl and rise as he cast a charm to conceal and blend himself into his surroundings as he lay pressed against the wall and returned his wand to his coat. Quietly and carefully sliding into the room and through the gathered grouping of Aurors and new faces, curious new creatures as well gracing the room. However more concerned for now with getting into the room and to his desk with a slip and grace, he continued on and didn't linger on the new faces and creatures present while Sly obliged him with silence and stillness.

Allowing Arnaldus to continue on with some peace and quiet towards his desk. Standing there near his chair and looking out towards everyone making little notes to himself that will likely go forgotten later but it was the thought and effort at the time that counts, right? No? Ah well. He tried anyways. A quiet snap of his fingers and discontinuing the spell he revealed himself from the charm and quietly sat down at his desk. It was not really his intention to garner attention, instead intending to allow everyone to continue on and maybe, just maybe he could have slipped in without notice til they noticed when ever that inevitable moment would naturally arrive.

Should be an interesting day, Sly ..... I just have a hunch for these things. I'm sure it's right, if not having been interesting already before our arrival. ~ The Auror thought to himself observing the room and sitting back in his chair with Sly peeking just a little over the coat collar.
