My post can wait until tomorrow; I could use some sleep after today's activities. What I have ready to go depends on what the Wanderers are doing in this moment of decision.

Glad your father came up to see you and your gang. Night, night! =)

Thanks for the reminder. So much time passes in between things that it's hard not to forget stuff... Just wait until I have to re-learn Pathfinder combat next time Wolf is involved in an encounter! *woof*

I'll be reading through earlier chapters on my hunt to recycle my old rolls and salvage the logic behind them...

p.s. that explains why Wolf didn't get any kisses lately... no one likes eau de wet dog.

Wolf sez, "p.s. that explains why Wolf didn't get any kisses lately... no one likes eau de wet dog." Ha ha ha! Poor Leonard!

David Bowie just passed away at 69 years old (I really wish he hadn't smoked). There are many true individuals in the world, and only one like David Bowie. R.I.P. you wonderfully-talented and creative fellow! =)

Here he is as the Goblin King in the movie Labyrinth. =)

@Sherwood Please provide a straight d20 roll here.

You know, a straight roll. As opposed to... say... a roll by good ol' wonderful George Takei... =)

Ha ha ha! Go Mr. Takei! 8D

Well, I either nailed the roll or totally screwed the pooch with that one. Only the Storyteller knows...

Thanks for the roll, Sherwood!

I want to give your fellow players a chance to post prior to Luna's attempt at activating the Soul Anchor. Attempting to activate this item takes 6 seconds; the Wanderers have just less than a minute left.

@Captain Hesperus Otiorin, being a fellow arcanist and quite cunning himself, is able to quickly discern what Luna is doing.

The same applies to @Wolf Rawrrr and @Kaerri for their characters, both of whom can see Luna focusing herself on the Soul Anchor. If this were not enough, Sparkle's thoughts to everyone included begin with, Everyone? Luna is activating the Soul Anchor which appears to go to the Plane of Shadow...

The only characters who are definitely not acting in this moment are Bria and Sabrefang (they are still trying to figure out what is happening). =)

Whoops! I have omitted something slightly important. Like nearly all magical items, one must be in physical contact with the Soul Anchor to activate it. @Sherwood This item is currently in the open palm of Sabrefang's paw. Is Luna taking the Soul Anchor then? Touching it while it is in Sabrefang's paw? Something else?

Do I have to roll to check if Wolf knows about the Plane of Shadow or is this public knowledge? Because even as a player, I'm not at all sure what this means.

Luna would take the Soul Anchor into her own hands and not activate it when it is in contact with anyone else, just in case it goes badly for her.

Wolfeus Maximus. The Elemental Plane of Shadow's existence is common knowledge but all details about the place are spiked full of made-up rumors (unless one has ranks in Knowledge: Planes, Arcana, or Religion). Since Leonard lacks these, he's stuck with the tavern tales of "Oh, it's a world full of darkness and... more darkness!" "Oh, that can't be! Shadow requires light!" "Oh, candles and torches must be expensive there!" and so forth...

His Sherwoodnessnessness. Thanks for clarifying!

Wolf. Now that I've had dinner, I can answer your question a little more effectively - No common person on Sharseya has anything good to say about the Elemental Plane of Shadow (or "Shadow World"). In fact, some people confuse it with the Nine Planes of Hell. That the Soul Anchor has some connection to the Shadow World spells danger in the least and disaster in the worst.

Cap'n, I hear you. At this stage, no one in the party is sure. Luna appears to have stepped ahead of Otiorin to do what he had already volunteered for.

O.K., folks! Bren has chosen to attempt to act to prevent Luna's course of action. If Luna does as Bren says, then the scene continues as it has - if instead, Luna is going to keep to her action, then Kaerri and Sherwood (and any other Player Character who wishes to act) must roll for Initiative. @Sherwood What does Luna do?

Posted for Luna. She is stepping back from activating the sigil.

Well when the Storyteller tells you that you've two choices, and that choice A is harmless while choice B means rolling for initiative then most sane people would go with choice A I think.

So Shadow Plane ≈ Hell. Got it *woof*

Well, in this case, rolling for initiative was just to see which of the PCs would go first, I believe, not necessarily an indication of imminent combat or tragedy in and of itself. (Not saying all would have been fine had Luna gone ahead and activated, because I don't think that - but that's my personal opinion and unrelated to the initiative roll. ( ;) ) )

I personally had not thought about the possibility that she may activate her own stone at the same time. When that was pointed out, Luna backed off in a hurry

Well technically Luna is permanently touching her stone. Is it even possible for her to activate another without activating hers?

If he chooses to. Bren is still waiting, sorta, for the arcanists to share what they've learned, hint hint. ;) So far all we've got is that one line from Sparkle saying that the soul anchor goes to the plane of shadows, which course of action Bren's already expressed disinterest in. Not that I'm trying to tell anyone what to do (out-of-character, at least), just trying to insert some extra caution. I say extra because half the PCs seem to be against activation already.

I really have no idea as a player what these things do, so I doubt I could explain in character.

Captain Hesperus

Oh no, I didn't mean to imply that. All I meant is that there's things in spoilers that only a couple people know in-character. I don't know quite what they do either, which is fine because my character doesn't know; I just wish more communication was going on.

Sorry if I'm coming across as paranoid - I kinda am. ;)
