Actually, my dear Cap'n, I am not going to ask for any die rolls whatsoever concerning this. If Otiorin brings the same dextrous skill that he brings to pickpocketing, trap-busting, or sleight of hand, then Bria has nothing to worry about.

Besides... I can totally see you guys burning Action Points unnecessarily on this. Party sez, "Put the Bria back together! Put her baaack!" Ha ha! =)

Please roll a Perception check for Wolf here (love the map, by the way). If at any time you roll an attack roll on them, then consider combat joined. That said, I have to add - Kaerri has the right of the situation. I can see Wolf causing some serious damage and killing a few, but I do see them returning the favor. Also, remember there is a thunderstorm going on. No clear weather here (and therefore no clear shot; the forest alone provides plenty of cover)."

Thanks for the warnings. I'll see if I can't combine Pathfinder's options with what I would like to do *woof*

p.s. and they call it a
mine map! A map! That should barely qualify as a sketch, even by your standards Dann (after what I've taught you). Check Amaranth OOC for a map :) *rawrrr*

Bren is ready to help, but I'm pretty sure we're just following Bria's directions so it should be OK. :)

Edit: I totally didn't see Dann's response before I typed this, but there you go ;)

@Sherwood Hey you! I don't understand this post, bud. Sherwood sez, "...Taking time only to let her wounds get wrapped up..." Get wrapped up by whom? Do you have any questions about what I posted? Also, you say Luna is helping the wounded. That's fine by me but who is Luna assisting and how does she want to go about doing it? I'm asking because her course of action might change what's going on (or not).

@Wolf Rawrrr O.K. My post you quoted? Did you see "This is what I was going to post." (italics mine). Sorry for any confusion. =) So, Leonard is chasing the Dire Wolf and party after all? I thought you said he was returning to the Wanderers. I am asking in part because the longer Wolf is doing something else, the longer he is not with his fellow Wanderers. Re: Maps. I wasn't calling the map high-quality; I just meant to express appreciation for a visual guide as to what Leonard is/was attempting to do. A picture is indeed worth a thousand words. =)

Oh... What you were going to post...

*audible sigh*

he's going back to base. he probably wouldnt be able to take the direwolf 1v1 let alone him plus monks. i know ur warning is just a politely disguised suicide alert. editing post momentarily.

@Wolf Rawrrr, Dann just realized he hadn't answered your question about Temporal Stasis, so he asked me to grab it for you off the House Rules page, so here you go:

Dannigan said:
House Rule: Temporal Stasis ("T.S.").
When a player is unable to attend, that person's character, along with any other creatures with that character (familiar, animal companion, mount, etc.), and all items personally belonging to that character are taken out of play. The character is therefore not able to be harmed. When the player is able to return, the character also returns in the same condition they were in prior to the departure. Your storyteller will adjust the CR (Challenge Rating; the level of monsters and treasure) accordingly. For purposes of this online game, characters will not cease to gain RP points. Adventurers' Table post.
It's not exactly as if they never existed, it's more like being in an online game and someone leaves for a bit. (Except that when they reappear here, they reappear wherever the party is, not where they left.)

Luna is going to quickly grab a fresh, clean cloth to put on her own wounds, then will go to check on our two downed members; Powerpaw and the wolf pup with the long name that I can't remember how to spell. I suspect that Bren and Otiorin will be better taking care of Bria than Luna.

About stasis... I was mainly wondering if we can refer to Bronze ingame or not. If he isn't there, then he's disappeared; we can't talk to him etc. Or is he still there as a passive NPC?

He's not actually present, so we can't talk to him, but I expect we can talk about him just fine.

@Wolf Rawrrr Wolf sez, " i know ur warning is just a politely disguised suicide alert." Ha ha! I hadn't thought of it quite that way, but yes, you're right. Both Kaerri's post and mine were very much along those lines. In my head, if Leonard had gone after them and "aggroed" the Dire Wolf of Dalsus and his buddies, then Leonard's chances of getting away and surviving were slim indeed. I think he would have gotten some kills, but he really might have wound up dead himself. It wasn't quite to the point of a "Your character is in mortal danger" warning, but it was getting there. I want all of you to keep your characters, but really, that's not always up to me. =)

Re: Temporal Stasis. Kaerri has the right of it. The character is out of the story (in this case, indefinitely). Talk about Bronze to your heart's content; given our last conversation I have no idea if Killfire will be posting as Bronze again.

Re: Forge Wagon. If no one provides an opinion, I think my default is to let the wagon go with Bronze (effectively declaring it as his personal possession). Otherwise, I don't know what you can or will do with said wagon... Your thoughts, folks?

@Sherwood Excellent! Thanks for clearing that up. Is Luna checking on Powerpaw or Vardadraug first?

To Cap'n and Kaerri: Which one of you would like to get the ball rolling concerning Bria? Or are either of your characters backing out of it?

I was sort of waiting to see Otiorin's reaction to Bria's last post, but Bren is absolutely ready to start and I can post if Cap'n wants me to go first.

@Captain Hesperus Hey, Cap'n! I'm sure Real Life has you busy too during this terrific Christmas holiday. I would like to write the next post (scene) concerning Otiorin/Bren/Bria before I lose the feel of it.

If you're too busy to post (which is fine!), would you let me know what you'd like Otiorin will be doing here and I'll post accordingly? Or if you'd rather post and need more (moar!) time, let me know? =)

Thanks for your post, Cap'n! Once I get a reply post from @Kaerri (I need to know what Bren is doing before I proceed), I will then post.

Hope everyone's having a terrific holiday season! Merry Christmas, you guys! =)

Honor and fun,

Dann =)

... I am justly reminded, having told him I'd do it yesterday.

@Kaerri Bren and Otiorin are now using the salve. One of you please roll to see how many hit points Bria regained. =)

I'll put up a post for Luna this weekend after I have had a chance to unwind from the holiday festivities. In the meantime, Merry Christmas!

@Dannigan

Wolf is chasing down the road to get to the others as fast as possible. Can you please just take that into equation and let me continue playing once he arrives? I don't feel like posting that IC *woof*

All the best to everyone. May all your dreams come true *lone howl*

@Wolf Rawrrr I have been doing just that, Wolf. You don't have to post anything (I didn't expect you to). As your Dungeon Master, it's my duty to inform you when Leonard experiences something out of the ordinary. That post is only meant to provide what Leonard is experiencing on his trek, since Leonard, being a Ranger with his skill in Perception and wolfish hearing, definitely (no roll required) hears what he heard. Mind you, I don't like what he heard any more than you do, but if I don't post it, it's not fair to Leonard (or you). And if I'm not fair-minded, I have no business being in the storyteller seat.

Remember that it's only been a post or two since you had Leonard leave off the Dire Wolf of Dalsus and continue his flank-speed trek back to the Wanderers. Did you see the spoiler in my last in-game post? I expect Leonard should be reunited with them the next time I post in-game. I'm just waiting for at least two of the other Wanderers to post before I post again. Then Leonard should reunite with them (because he's been running at top speed or he would not have covered all that distance so soon).

I hope your dreams come true too, good Wolf. You're "good people" in my book. Love the wolf howling there. =)

Merry Christmas to you all, and may you have a wonder-filled New Year :D

For those at the Ambush, here are some Dungeon Master thoughts, notes, and mental meanderings concerning in-game Entry #129 and #133. Wolf, you're welcome to read it too, of course, but I can't promise they'll make much sense.

1. That whole scene with Bria was just awfully painful to write, but I had to do it. I didn't like it, but the alternative was wimping out and writing something less. To heck with that. I noticed (I think) a similar pain in Kaerri and Cap'n's choice of words in their characters' posts. That's the power of real role-playing - emotion, trueness to the character and story, and the ability to express it. =)

2. All this time, I've been misspelling Bria's primary casting word for her basic healing spells. It should be Aste'allo, not Asteallo. Pronounced "Ah-ste-yall-oh!" (the last half of the word pronounced like "tallow").

3. I forgot just how much of a pain in the tush it is to get this damned crown off. Glad you guys are working as a team. =)

4. @Sherwood Going off of an idea Kaerri shared a short while back, I recommend we go this route with Luna for the time being: Write in italics anything you'd like Luna to ask Sparkle to relay. Then provide who you want to say it to. That way, Luna is communicating and able to "talk." What do you think?

@Wolf Rawrrr Hey you! Wolf has rejoined the Wanderers. Welcome back! =)

So yes! I just posted the above post into Grey's game by mistake. Thanks to Kaerri and Wolf for pointing this out. I have fixed the issue, but I must apologize to you guys (especially Wolf) for any Derpness this may have caused. Hah! (I love the holidays, but I can't wait for things to get back to normal at work! It is busier than ever.) =)
