O.K. Monk/Mage Orange is currently facing Bren. So, you want your Summoned Creature to appear in that square to the right of Bria or where? Also, here is a list you may choose from (creature titles are in blue). If you do not want to choose, you may ask me to roll a d20 to see what other (Celestial) creatures off the list offers to show up and offer to help.

EDIT: And don't say you pick the Celestial Dolphin, you silly Cap'n! I know you and your crazy kitteh overlord ways! Hee hee. =)

@Dannigan while a Celestial Dolphin would be fun (giant fishssssssh!!!), I'm torn between the Dire Rat and the Snake. I'll go with the Snake.

Which square do you view as "behind" Orange? Dann's afk or he'd be asking.

Well, considering that he was last facing Bren to make his attack of opportunity and hasn't acted since, I'd like to summon in the monk's 3 o'clock or five o'clock position (direct right of the marker or lower left).

Captain Hesperus

5 o'clock (lower right?) would probably be better, given the way the system works. Facing doesn't come with any bonuses or negatives, but having an enemy on opposing sides does, and 5 o'clock would put Orange in between Bren and the Snake, giving them both a bonus to hit Orange.

@Captain Hesperus Kaerri's on the money here, but I need to wait for Cap'n to give the position he wants before I can say what is happening (which I'll happily do after work today). I love the communication and teamwork we're seeing between players here, for it shows that not only are the Wanderers a team, so are their players, and that makes for a great group. See you later, friends! =)

It's OK. :) I've just played Pathfinder (or rather its older siblings D&D 3.0 and 3.5) for a veeery long time, so I'm super-familiar with it, which is why I speak up to help clarify or suggest things. If we were in a different system, I'd be wanting help with it (I don't know much other than old-school World of Darkness, which no one plays now).

I still do - still have all my (our) books. Kids these days like the new one tho.

Bah, Millennials and their post-Gehenna generic, sparkly Kindred. I still miss my Tremere Path of Levinbolt Alastor...

Just to give everyone a bit of heads-up, I will be away from any internet access from Thursday night to Monday afternoon of next week. Heading up into the Utah mountains to spend some time with the family at my wife's aunt's cabin up there.

(Repost from Sherwood's RDF Robotech game in the OOC thread) Yaaaaaaaaay! Sherwood gets to see some snow! I hope it's the good, crunchy kind you can make nice snowballs out of. Bring your hot chocolate, binoculars, and camera (especially for those beautiful starry nights). Have fun! =)

Re: D&D 3.0 through Pathfinder. I'm in the same both as Kaerri; the only reason I know the game this well is because we've been playing it for a decade-and-a-half. There are a lot of rules and math (especially concerning attacks of opportunity, which I've thought about reducing or simplifying).

Are there any rules changes or House Rule additions any of you would like to see?

As before, please read the in-game thread first! =)

Yes! I wanted to post again before Sherwood left on his trip and it's done! =)

Combat initiative order (Round 5):

19 - Otiorin
(Wearing Ring of Mind Shielding. Ring of Force Shield active. Moonlit Edge in main hand. Has 3/52 hit points left. Summoned Celestial Viper who attacked Monk/Mage Orange)

18 - Powerpaw (Down and [knocked] out.)

17 - Monk/Mages of Wee Jas (5) (Monk/Mage Red and Blue are teaming up on Otiorin. Monk/Mage Orange is badly hurt and withdrawing (possibly just far enough to cast safely). Monk/Mage Purple has broken Bren's shield in a single blow.).

17 - The Dire Wolf of Dalsus (Engaged ([winning] in a Grapple with Luna. Attempting to do something very bad to Luna...)

13 - Bria (At zero hit points. Unable to speak or cast. Virtually helpless.)

12 - Brendoran (Wearing Wedding Ring. Battle Axe +2 in main hand, heavy metal masterwork shield in off-hand.)

6 - Luna (Prone. Engaged [on the losing end] in a Grapple with the Dire Wolf of Dalsus. Wearing Ring of Mind Shielding. Mage Armor active. Made Concentration checks and Cast Magic Missile scoring some damage on the warg. Sparkle is desperately attacking with her poison sting-tail and calling for help.)

Little thoughts....

1.
Anyone have any advice for Bren? Or anyone else for that matter? =)

Here is my Fortitude roll for Luna

[dice]17330[/dice]

Yikes! Can I bolster that with an Action Point? Hopefully yes, so I'll add the d6 roll and hope for six.

[dice]17331[/dice]

And I'm about to be ganked (TAT). Hopefully I'll survive what's coming well enough to act in my turn.

What... is with... THESE DICE?! *sigh* =)

EDIT: And yes, that's a perfectly good use of an Action Point... (Incoming general request) Please remember to subtract it from your character sheet. =)

Already did. Not that it did much to help me, but I can't blame this on the action point; the base roll was so bad almost nothing could pull that saving throw out of the toilet.

I agree.

@Sherwood I'm going to post again to give Luna her action before Real Life calls you away tomorrow. Again, have fun out there! =)

From the description, I take it that Luna cannot speak? Or is she just wounded and can talk with effort? I don't want to have her chatting up a storm if there is a curse effect on her that keeps me from doing so.

That is how it appears. She hasn't tried yet (as what she does is up to you). =)

As such, all spells with verbal components are completely denied Luna (a fact someone with such a high Intelligence would be quick to understand).
