Fantasy Anything Goes

Hunter looked on as shinu and the new girl slaughtered the attackers " never a calm moment in Liondil" he said as he walked out side and up to a corpse to see who these people were.

He simply nodded and sheathed his knife as he sniffed the air, his ears twitching in curiosity. Was she simply a pyromancer, or was there more to her arsenal? As Hunter approached, Shinu held up his hand as if to signal that the fight was over.

As Hunter saw shinu raise his hand he nodded in acknowledgement and proceeded to search one of the corpse for anything defining about them

The young wolf set his gaze on the newcomer, his ears still twitching atop his tussled white hair. When it seemed the silence would go on forever, he spoke only once before turning back and walking towards Victoria's home. "Shinukara." He said with a nod as he departed the scene, leaving the bodies where they lay. If nothing else, the dogs of the forest would eventually claim them. As if to emphasise this to Hunter, he gently placed his hand upon the man's shoulder and gave him a look that both offered and asked for respect. "They need to eat too". And with that, he returned to the porch and sat down, gazing out at the world around him.

Hunter sighed as he got up from his kneeling position, finding nothing note worthy except for a strange emblem, but he'd have Jackson take a look at it first, he muttered a few intelligible words before walking back into Victoria's house.

His only reply was a shrug. How exactly was he supposed to explain it to her in a way that didn't sound stark raving mad? In the world he lived in, it was kill or be killed. By saving the young magic user, he'd solved two problems in one move. He'd eliminated what could have quickly become a threat to himself and the others, but he'd also done something more important. He'd given the young lady a reason not to burn them all alive, and possibly even gained an ally. The world was a harsh place, and it sometimes called for rough people to do violence so that others could sleep in peace at night. But all he said was "They might have come for us next."

He rose and gently gripped her hand in his, some subconcious part of him not wanting to let go. He'd settle that later. Brushing a lock of hair from his vision, he nodded and followed quietly, unsure of what to think or say. Was this secret a good thing or a bad thing?

Victoria walks back into her house, picks up the painting of the baby dragon, and goes into her bedroom. She closes the door behind her. "Welcome to my room," she says dramatically. "The only private place in my house besides the bathroom."

Shinu looked around in wide eyed curiosity, taking in the sight and smell of the room. Then he turned his gaze to the painting he'd essentially bought and given back to her. The one that seemed to move, if one looked closely enough. What was this, he wondered.

"I'm not taking my clothes off. Sorry," she says sarcastically. She sits on her bed and pats the spot next to her, signaling for him to sit. "Remember. You can't tell anyone." She lays the painting flat on her lap and lays her hand over the dragon.

He smirked at her comment as he sat down, waiting to see what she was up to. As she held her hand over the painting, he could feel a slight change in the air pressure. What on earth was she about to do? He watched with curious eyes as he waited patiently.

Suddenly the small blue dragon pokes his head out from underneath Victoria's hand. He yawns and looks at Shinu. Victoria lifts her hand away from the canvas, leaving the dragon sitting and wagging his tail like a dog would.

Shinu let out a gasp of surprise as he raised an eyebrow. A baby dragon? But how had it gotten into the canvas? He turned to her in bewilderment, trying to think of the politest way to ask whether she had just brought a painting to life or if there was something else to this little secret of theirs.

He slowly reached out with a single finger and lightly stroked the tiny creature's head. It was clearly an infant, no more than a few months old, at most. After a moment, he turned to Victoria and spoke in a very hushed tone. "How did you do that?"

Victoria smiles and looks at the dragon. "I don't know how. It's one of the only nonhuman things about me that I can control." She looks at Shinu. "This little guy is the reason I haven't gone completely insane."

He smiled a little as he continued to pet the tiny dragon, his gaze drifting up to meet hers. "So you created him, and brought him to life?" He asked as he thought of the past few days. It had been one hell of a ride thus far, but it hadn't been all bad.

Victoria nods. "I can do it with anything," she says. "But I prefer doing it with my paintings." The dragon begins to climb up Shinu's arm and sits on his shoulder like a bird.

Aileada turned, thankful to see Hunter."I suppose, at least things aren't as hectic as the past few days." Grabbing the tea bags, she walked over tho where the kettle was located and set the bags beside it. Flipping the switch on she let the water boil. "So do you know how to make-" She turned back to look at Hunter, but realized he had been long gone. "Guess I've just been talking to myself." She mumbled.

(Holy hell I hate my phone. I've been trying to send this for 4 hours)

As he walked away, Aria knew she had maybe gained an ally. Aria crouched down next to the corpses and raided them for anything worth selling, she got her gold back as well.

Aria stood and looked up, her green eyes looked brighter in the sun, but out of the corner of her vision, she saw a glimpse of a black figure on a rooftop, but it was gone in a flash. She cursed under her breath and with quicker speed searched the corpses. She'd have to leave this town soon.

(I know the feeling @Deadly Darkness )

Shinu nodded and smiled a bit more as the creature climbed up to his shoulder. "So what happens now? Will you stay?" He asked. It wasn't much, but this place was slowly beginning to feel like home to him, in a strange way. He was beginning to like it here, and he wasn't entirely sure, but a part of him wanted to stay in Liondil.

Hunter walked back into the kitchen to continue helping Aileada "sorry about rushing out like that" he said as he got out some coffee grinds for Victoria's coffee

The smile falls from Victoria's face and she looks down at the now plain black canvas. "It's dangerous for me to stay here, Shinu. You saw what I did."
