Just have a question about the mana crystals. Do the scientists know about them and if so do they have any in their possession?

Originally, I had planned for them to show up later in the RP. Mmm,, I suppose-- At the moment, the whitecoats could know of them, they're like a fairtale. They don't know they actually exist quite yet.
It could lead to them looking for the Mana Crystals later in the RP and thus our heroes have to get them before they do.
Or they could know and use them to power things in the lab. Make their stuff stronger. Mm..
Which do you guys think would work best?

I think that if the whitecoats have any in their possession then it should just be a single one or something along those lines that is studied and used as a kind of power source for things in the prison. I do, however, like the idea of the whitecoats not knowing of the existence of the crystals, but instead using their resources/connections to eventually start picking up clues that they just might be out there.

The former makes sense. I could see them having one of them and that would lead to them finding out that there's more out there.
The latter I think would work best. It would also help me give a better way of explaining them with Juju explaining the magical gems to the mutants that want to go find the crystals to keep them away from the whitecoats. Though, I can do this with both ways, I think the last part would work better? Leaves a bit of mystery I suppose?

I think the second idea could work better as it allows for the both groups to learn of the crystals and the potential power they possess and incentivizes them to seek them out which would lead to both sides crossing paths.
The first idea while it can also work, I'd feel the whitecoats would have to have a head start of some kind in locating more of the crystals because they would be more aware of the potential power stored in them.

I took a bit of inspiration from Sonic, Japanese folklore, as well as other things while making Teles actually. Tulyp too. Juju and Mojo are magical orbs that you'll hear about in Japanese folklore with foxes.

I suppose it is a bit funny how it has ended up like that. Though the reason it ended up that way could just be that the majority of the whitecoats being human makes sense as I wouldn't think many other humanoid animals/mutants would like to experiment and test on others of their kind.
