Fantasy An Unfortunate Act [OOC]

I'm glad you got in when you did because since everyone's posts are basically the same I'm assuming things will happen exceptionally quickly. Or at least hoping lol literally no one's budging on self loathing hour

Lol, I planned to make mine a little different and try to spice things up with some interaction

oo Same here! I'm okay with being estranged from literally everyone, but if we're in the shenanigans biz at the moment

You never specified when Flynn joined the circus troupe, probably on purpose, but since I don't know I'm just gonna assume that everything I suggest is gonna work out, LOL.

I read Flynn's personality and I feel like they'd get along pretty well.
First, let's figure out their relationship dynamic.
I wouldn't mind them being close friends in the troupe, kinda like the iconic two that are always together but their relationship is purely platonic and built on jokes and banter (unless we progress that further, but we would have to see, LOL.)
After we get their relationship dynamic figured out, we can think of a history and how they got to that status. Their relationship can even be something negative like a rivalry too! So, if you have anything in mind, lemme hear it.

Kazehana Kazehana , Alright! I'll look at your character and try to think something up. Feel free to throw an idea at me too. Pm me if you wanna discuss it there. Otherwise, I'll just say it all here.

Let's figure out their relationship dynamic first.
Honestly, both of our characters are kind of people that keep to themselves, but Lucia seems much more so. And Veridio isn't really one to randomly go up to people and make friends with them. So, I'd say our characters are on neutral terms? Perhaps acquaintances or very casual friends?
Of course though, something could bind them together and make them better friends or maybe even enemies depending on their history. After we figure out their relationship dynamic, we can start throwing out ideas for their history which could even alter their dynamic.
Do you have any ideas?

Okay so if they don't interact much, or even from time to time, I would suspect that Lucia's judgemental attitude would give pause to Veridio's personality. I'd go as far as to say she could think Veridio is more fake than a cardboard cutout. But I would assume that no one else knew about it if she isn't close to anyone in the troupe. Lucia can put on airs to achieve the image she creates to remain on good terms with people she dislikes or distrusts.
Now I suspect that she wouldn't have a huge problem with most of the troupe aside from Veridio because if she's as cheerful, positive, and motherly as her bio indicates, that conflicts heavily with any compatibility they might have

Just my take on how that might go down, but it is by no means necessarily correct

She often dominates people, but humbly.
This is what stands out to me as a HUGE conflict with Lucia's personality along with the motherly aspect. Doesn't matter how subtle it is, Lucia hates anyone who tries to take authority over her - aside from Valora for obvious reasons

I'm going around looking at the other characters and coming up with relationship dynamics for mine, Jigoku Jigoku and I think your character stands out a lot. ^_^
I feel like Raphael and my character, Veridio, would get along pretty well. I feel like she'd be the only one to answer back to his flirting with some of her own, LOL. I was thinking that they could be regular friends. Close friends is possible, but we would have to see in the rp.
Since his history is already well defined, We'll leave out anything they'd have in the past unless you want that.
Up to you, this is just a suggestion. If you'd rather have your character be a loner or just wouldn't want him to have a predefined relationship, I'd understand.

I think you read her bio wrong or barely skimmed over it. Her bio in no way suggests that she is cheery or positive. In fact, it suggests the opposite (But she is in no way a pessimistic edge-girl either). And I don't think you read her personality either.
She is motherly though. Along with the fact that Veridio tends to inadvertently dominate people, if that is such a turn-off for Lucia, then I guess she wouldn't like Veridio and Veridio would never really know about it. So, it'd be kind of like an unrequited "hate" As Veridio likely wouldn't really care enough to speak to Lucia unless she as to.
I suspect that since they are a group that travels together, they would have to interact at least once on the daily. Of course, with the technicalities of an rp, this likely wouldn't happen though. I'm just saying that they definitely wouldn't be strangers to each other.
However, if you're wanting a sort of rivalry between our characters, I'd be down for that.

I'm pretty sure I made up the positive thing because I'm dumb and didn't reread before I started typing. That and I am a tad confused by her love of laughter and flirting in an unaffectionate way. I don't think I understand what you mean by unaffectionate here
I would be okay with a rivalry. It adds more to our stew-casserole! Though I'm not super sure how either would go about acting. Like it looks like (From what I understand) Veridio would be transparent about her feelings yes? Again, if I understand what's happening

Oh yea sorry about the vague timeline in the history. I'd say he can be considered an old timer now in that the veteran members know his quirks but new enough not to know all of them.

Looking through Veri's dislikes Flynn is going to tick off a few things on that list (mostly selfish and clingy). This could result in a on and off, love and hate relationship or Veri's motherly side could come into play as she can tell him off for being too self-centered and childish. Other than that they'd largely get along with one another as your character's preference for simplicity can offset his inclination for spontaneity.
(I think everything else can for the most part be left up to IC development depending on how far their history//relations goes back.)

As for their past relations it could begin with Flynn offering Veri a trinket? Unlike her beautiful creations though he kind of just hordes a bunch of rare, mostly enchanted knick knacks he's collected over the years in his "room".

Tbh, I should have elaborated more so it's not your fault. I usually type very in-depth character descriptions on personality, usually about like 5-6 paragraphs and 3-6 lines long each. But since this seems more like a casual rp (I usually do detailed) I toned it down a lot, LOL, which downed the quality by a lot. Anyway, like her personality says, she likes to laugh but in moderation. She doesn't like to be obnoxious or loud. As for being flirty yet unnaffectionate, she is naturally not extremely affectionate. She's not really one for physical contact, hugs, cuddling, all that. But she does have different sides to her. She does like to joke around, and so she takes flirting as more like a game since she rarely ever goes beyond flirting and usually drops the act and stops it right there when it begins to transition to anything else.

I would be okay with a rivalry. It adds more to our stew-casserole! Though I'm not super sure how either would go about acting. Like it looks like (From what I understand) Veridio would be transparent about her feelings yes? Again, if I understand what's happening
She'd be very transparent with her feelings, yes. But if Lucia doesn't really ever act out her negative attitude towards her, then Veridio would be clueless about it and just assume that they are on neutral terms and so she would act like they are just acquaintances.

This is kind of what I was hoping for, LOL. They might piss each other off, but they're largely compatible.
Veridio is very independent and she'd likely try to correct him on his clingy-ness and selfishness if she cares enough about him. She might just even let his clingy-ness slide if they're very close since she'd see him as a good friend and would want to be around him anyway.

As for their past relations it could begin with Flynn offering Veri a trinket? Unlike her beautiful creations though he kind of just hordes a bunch of rare, mostly enchanted knick knacks he's collected over the years in his "room".
Sure! And since he's a veteran in the guild, they'd likely know each other for the full four years that Veridio has been in the guild.
Veridio would definitely be into his knick knacks and all that. Anything that she can turn into something else, she'd like a lot. I think I read that Flynn is very generous? So, it wouldn't be too out of character for him to just give her something that he knows she's into.
After he gives her a trinket, she sees him as a really nice person and she takes it upon herself to return his kindness. And then they become friends. Eventually their relationship grew into them being really close and he would likely be the only person to know of her history? How does that sound?
