Fandom American Horror Story: Coven

"I'm going to go help Kyle." She said, giving the small group a smile before turning down the staircase, leaving Ash and Syndra to their own devices. Once she reached the bottom of the stairs she could smell the food cooking, giving a spring to her step. Bounding into the kitchen she nearly ran into someone carrying a large bowl of pasta salad, leaving Kyle to laugh at her a little bit by the oven.

"Hey, watch it, or I'll sell you to a voodoo queen." She joked, washing before grabbing a knife and chopping what was laid out on the counter.

He wasn't very talkative, and barely every laughed except for a smile and shake of his head. Most the other students really did treat him like a butler, but Cole was one to make friends with everyone. Despite his silence, he did have some interesting things to say when he did talk so the effort was always worth it.

"Don't speak bad of any magic. They'll find out some how." He said, smiling to himself. His head turned slightly as NiKlause walked in.

"Hey boys." Cole said, her white shirt draped lack over her shoulders, leaving them both exposed, but her back covered by her long brown hair.

Ashton and Syndra soon had come down stairs to join the others, Hector tagging along. Syndra saw the time on the clock and could tell dinner would be ready soon. Seeing other students shuffle into the dinning room to grab seats Cordelia soon went inside the kitchen spotting the group of students. Putting her empty cup of tea into the sink she smiled seeing the lively students. "I see you all are getting comfortable here? I told you it wasn't so bad here." she said while looking at the new students, her last comment directed towards Eli. Although she had been holed up within her office all day it wasn't her choice. Normally she would be within the house helping students in need or within the green house, however she was swamped with paper work to transfer to the computer documents making it almost impossible to leave the office.

"What's up, Vet? Looks like I'm legally getting sloshed tonight. Can any of you say the same?" He asked. He didn't condone bad behavior at parties, but he thought they'd know well enough not to. As he sat at the island countertop, he recieved a particularly harsh look from Kyle, who was here to help with things. Eli didn't like being around him. It felt as if they were being watched and recorded.

He looked up when Cordelia walked into the room, almost feeling her presence. "It's going pretty well, ma'am." He said, actually meaning it.

"Hey Cole. May I ask what we are having tonight?" NiKlaus walked into the dining room after grabbing a drink from the kitchen and sat at the table. He eyes Cordelia as if she were some sort of goddess. She sure did give off that sort of glow. NiKlaus was pretty sure that's how being supreme worked. Of course, he had never thought of himself ever being supreme but he thought it was interesting. She was kind and gentle but I'm sure she had power that could not be matched.

"I'm not quite sure babes, I'm just doing that Kyle asked." She said, smiling to the boy.

"Hey Cordelia!" She said, smiling to their teacher. More than anyone, even her passed family, Cole looked up to her teacher the most. She wasn't just their supreme, but she had taught her a lot about being open with who she was, and had taught her even more of everything. The greenhouse and books were always open for Cole, and with that she carried much gratitude.

"Kyle, love, what are we having tonight?" She asked, being polite as usual.

Cordelia smiled softly seeing how cheery Cole in particular was once hearing her call out to her. "Why aren't you as lively as ever Cole? And yes Kyle what are we having for dinner?" She asked softly while looking towards Kyle. The normally somewhat quiet and stiff Kyle smiled seeing the familiar faces and responded. "Pizza of all different flavors. I thought it would be a nice welcoming first meal. After all everyone loves pizza and there's different kinds so there's one for everyone's particular taste." Cordelia couldn't help but smiled at the lovely thought Kyle had done for them. "That's wonderful, how about I help serve." She asked seeing some of the pizza's coming out of their ovens. The expansion spell also had expanded the kitchen allowing more room for more appliances to accommodate the students. Kyle immediately started to protest once hearing this. "You don't have to, your the Supreme after all. A supreme shouldn't have to perform such tasks." Cordelia shoo'd his worries off as she started slicing up the pizza's reassuring him. "I'm still the same person as I was before and after being Supreme, you should relax once in a while. Once we are done serving you can join us at the table as well." Normally in the past Butler's weren't treated as objects more of a perfect example being how her mother treated her butler. But she had a special place in her heart for Kyle so she treated him like any other person. Looking over at the students whom remained within the kitchen offering a kind smile towards them. "You all should get to the table now. Dinner's ready." Some of the other hired butlers who came in to help when cooking meals started bringing the pizza's that were ready out into the dinning room and placing them on the stands that were in a long row in the long dinning room table where everyone sat to eat. Eating was prohibited within the rooms, it being mandatory to eat in the dinning room. Syndra and Ashton had made their way to the table by now, Syndra sitting in her normal seat. A few rare times Cordelia came out and would sit with the others, usually to busy to eat with them but today she made an effort to eat with them. It was a deserving occasion after all since it was the first night for many students.

Eli followed the lead, taking a seat across the table from everyone. He was uncomfortable with his back to open air, a product of having to watch it for so long. Not too long after, the other students strolled in, chattering and whooping as they did. There were so many, so young. A fifteen year old girl sat next to him and sighed suggestively. "Oh, today has been so long. I'm glad to know we have time to relax and enjoy each other's company. I'm Allison, and you are? " She offered a tiny, manicured hand to him. "Twenty four and highly homosexual." Eli smirked, pushing her hand away. 'Hormones...' he thought bitterly as the looks became more abundant.

"Yes maam" She said, sprinkling some of the herbs she had chopped up onto a vegetarian pizza. Sitting down on the other side of Eli, she rolled her eyes to the girl and helped cut up the rest of the pizza.

"Thank you again, Kyle." She said, smiling to him. He really was very loyal to them all, and his loyalty to Cordelia was always astounding.

"So how are you newbies liking school?" She asked, serving some out to the younger kids, having watched them eye the pizza as it came in knowing what it was they wanted. She grabbed a piece of vegetarian pizza for herself, still abstaining from meat after a feild trip to a dairy farm a few years back.

Syndra ate as she looked around at the students. Sitting next to Cole she couldn't help but snicker seeing Eli shot down an fifteen year old guy, almost choking on her coke she sipped. Looking around the room at all the students she suddenly realized. "Most of the newer students are on the younger side now aren't they. Eli appears to be the oldest actually." she noted quietly to herself. At times she wasn't as motor mouthed as she came across as. She had her silent observative moments. Ashton had been eating quietly devouring a pepperoni pizza. Once hearing Cole's question he replied happily. "It's much nicer here then I expected. I mean I expected it to be nice but this exceeds what I expected. And the people here aren't half bad." Hearing hims words he swallowed hoping the others wouldn't take it the wrong way but it was true. Some part of him expected not everyone to be as friendly as he was and as welcoming and open.

Eli noticed he was the oldest student seated at the table. It didn't bode well with him. That strange feeling he'd been having all day was only intensified by the amount of young faces in this room. It didn't take a rocket scientist to see that there was a considerable gap between his circle and the others. He picked up a slice of supreme pizza, picking off the black olives. Again, he had to force the feeling down his gullet, trying hard to believe that everything was under control. "So, is anyone else feeling like this is an audition tape for Kidz Bop?" he asked, taking a sip from the glass of water before him.

NiKlaus laughed a bit at Eli's remark and grabbed himself another piece of pizza, being careful enough not to get any on his clothing. "it does, doesn't it? A little strange, Eli. You eating supreme pizza. You just like that flavor?" NiKlaus laughed a bit again and went back to his food. After finishing he got up and grabbed another glass of water. He then turned to Kyle, "Thank you for the food" NiKlaus then grabbed his book from the table and sat on a nearby room's couch. Waiting for the time to go to the party.

Eli noticed he had a point. Eating supreme pizza near an actual Supreme had it's humorousness to it. He imagined a box of Digiorno with Cordelia's face on the front. He couldn't help but burst into laughter, scaring a few of the kids sitting near him. "That is rich." he said, taking a bite out of the pizza.

"So, where exactly is this shindig we are supposed to be whisked away to?" He asked, looking at Colette. " And, what is the dress code?"

"That's good. We've had some kids who were so angry about being sent here, that they refused to leave their rooms." She laughed, finishing off her pizza.

"I've never had a bad meal while living here. Except maybe that one time you weren't here Kyle and I accidentally burnt the chicken." She said, relaxing into her chair. She never would've guessed it when she first got here, but he is a pretty good cook. Really most of the people here are, maybe it comes with allt he practice making potions?

Hector was a bit relieved being guided by Ashton and Syndra. Though as soon as Cordelia walked was present, he was having a hard time not glaring at her. After heading to the table, pizza out for all, he didnt know if this was too corny or pre-orders. Either way, he was hungry. End of story. He failed to hold back a snicker from Eli's little banter with an admirer. Hector didnt peg him to gay, but it didnt bother him that much.

"I dont think dress-codes matter these days" Hector said in regards to the party. "Besides, its a party. Music, small snacks, secretly or publicly get drunk, occasional public exposure, you can get fun out of these small things." Smiling to himself, he took another bite out of a pizza slice.

"I'm still angry, and yet I couldnt leave my room, what with the leather straps holding me down." A few of the younger students eyed him at the comment. "Yeah. It happened." He turned to Eli. "Tell you what, if things go well at the party, and if I'm not finding this place as bad as I feel it might be, I'll cook up a chicken stir fry one night. Learnt how in my time up north."

"Well, that settles it. I'm going in this." he said out loud. "It's not as if I'm gonna be there to impress the masses. Besides, I hear recycling is in now. Here's to hoping for a good night." He took the last bite of the pizza, looking around the room as he did. It was bright with laughter and amusement. He was glad that the world hadn't gone completely dark--maybe just the edges did. He looked to Cordelia, who was filled with happiness just to be around her students. He couldn't help but smile at the scene.

"So tell me, Hector, what gets a guy like you tied up in a place like this?" Eli asked, placing another supreme slice on his plate.

Hector almost chocked on his food as the question came up.

"W-well...to put it bluntly, when those Albino guys wanted me to bring me here, I said no. They tried again, this time being insistent, I said no again. The third time they wouldn't take 'no', so I made them take it anyway. The fourth time...well they knocked me out and brought me here."

He took a sip of something before continuing.

"I got a bit worried waking up tied to a bed with another guy living in the same room. Anyways, I was pulled from up North after...well I played with one too many matches, lets just leave it at that."

Cole sat in her seat, the telekinetic across from her flinging crumbs and Cole small sparks in a playful show off. When she heard the mention of matches though, her ears perked up a little bit.

"My apologies for the barrage of questions... But are you a pyrokenisis too?" She said, smiling to Hector. Other than the council members and Cordelia, she'd never met a person with the same skills as her.

"What is the policy on Albino guys waltzing into your life and taking you here anyway?" Eli asked, not surprised that there were more of them. "Or has it always been like that?" When Cole did her little performance, Eli perked up. "Hey Vet, when did you know you could do that anyway? And is it just the fire? No other powers on top of that?"

Hector turned to Cole. "Is that what its called? Friend of mine told me I was a Pyromancer or something. Sounds cooler in my opinion. Anyways yeah, and I dont mind you asking, just sometimes I might not choose to answer."

He looked back down at his hand, pretending to hold a gun. He felt vulnerable without something for protection. His power didnt feel like a gun though or protection. He felt it was a final resort for when things were at their darkest. His eyes widened at an idea.

"Actually, maybe you could tech me about controlling this thing? All I'm good at with it is lighting candles from afar. Thats it."

"Stuff with fire started around 11. My uncle who was also a warlock started teaching me as 13." She said to Eli, grabbing another small piece of pizza. "It took me a while to get control over it. Even now I still surprise myself. And yeah, so far it's just this. I'm really good with spells and plants though."

"I've tried forming other powers, but the most I could do was push a pencil off a table."

Cole always hated that no matter how much work she put into it, she just could manifest anything else.

"And I'd love to teach you. There's a lot more you can do than just lighting candles."

Cole gave a mischievous smile to Hector before downing the last piece of pizza on her plate. She was really excited to teach him, as she'd taught some others about spell working and the green house garden plants. She loved teaching, and hoped to become a teacher here or to found her own school some day.

Eli stood up, picking his plate up as he did. "Well, I think it's time we got our behinds moving. Shall we?" He asked before walking to the kitchen to put away his dish. He was rather excited to be going to a party. It'd be his first one since he was a teenager.

'Wonder if there will be any cute guys there?' he thought to himself as he rinsed the plate off.

Finishing late after eating relatively silent most of the time, just listening to others conversations too intrigued to interrupt he got up and went to the kitchen throwing out what left overs he had. When about to rinse off his plate Kyle appeared from around the back and took his and Eli's while he was in the middle of cleaning the plate. "I've got it, it's fine." he reassured, even though he was only a butler Kyle at times would become a maid picking up after everyone else. Ashton decided even though Kyle tried shooing him off to help wash the plates with him which only made Kyle eventually give up. Looking over at Eli he reassured. "You can go get ready, unless you want to help wash the dishes." Kyle grumbled softly barely loud enough for the two to hear as he washed the dishes. "Its fine, it's my job after all. No help is needed." Kyle was really passionate about being the new butler and was really strict on how he handled things although help was accepted, a primary helper of his being Colette, he wasn't as open to it unless the others knew how he liked to do things. He slightly OCD's most of his tasks being very meticulous only wanting to do the best for Cordelia due to how kindly she treated both him and Zoe, while she was still a student here that is. As for Cordelia as soon as she was able to make an appearance to eat with the others she had to go back to her work, she appeared slightly disheartened having to leave the students after having so little time with them but for now she had to settle with what little time she had with them. After bringing her dish to Kyle and talking to some of the students on the way she retreated back to her office.

By the time other students had started filing out of the dining room Syndra had already fled up to her room it being a habit. She finished eating dinner normally very early and didn't really desire to socialize due to having a headache already from some of the other newbies. Not being the most welcoming person she is the type to normally get irritated by meeting too many people in one day too fast. Like a sponge that slowly sucks in the water, when there is a aren't as many people in a day to meet Syndra manages well with a fairly OK attitude but if too many people she will have to slowly accept them, taking a slower amount of time as opposed to if few.

Eli picked up a towel and smiled. "Don't sweat it dude, I'll dry. Besides, maybe we can talk while we get this done." He probably wouldn't let him, but Eli couldn't let the kid do his dishes alone.

And he was really curious about their silent butler.

Kyle nodded lightly without looking at Eli. "Alright, it will speed up the process then." Kyle tended to be stiff around those who were new or unfamiliar with him, the only ones he was loosened up around where the veteran or previous students and Cordelia. It would be a bit of time before Kyle would loosen up around Eli and the others but it couldn't be helped. While Ashton was washing about to hand a dish to Eli but Kyle took it and grumbled. "You didn't do it right." he re washed it and handed it back to Eli to dry. Ashton confused due to the dish looking the same as when he was going to hand it to Eli asked. "What was wrong with it?" Kyle stiffly replied. "You didn't do it right. Here you just hand me the dishes." Ashton not wanting to cause trouble gave up and decided to do as told by Kyle.

"Believe me, that much I know by now." Hector said with a hint of regret. Seeing everyone picking up their plates, he did the same and took it to the sink. "Right, I'll go freshen up before going out the door. First time being here so I dont mind having a bit of fun before all seriousness takes priority." The teenager eyed him up as he made his way for the stairs. "Not underage fun, sorry."
