So, basic rundown of what's happened thus far:
The group is deployed by Denton to find survivors and kill the Pest Queen, consisting of Morgan, Quentin, Brick, Owl, Eddie, John, Sam, Kotsu, Amatsa, Vivian, Carmille, and Aria. Owl is a spy, Kotsu, Carmille, and Aria are vampires, Sam is a cyborg, Morgan, Amatsa, Quentin, and Owl are mages, Brick is in a power armor suit, Vivian specializes in stealth. The group is swarmed as Sam leaves to find a choke point, per orders, and escapes to a tall building. As the swarm fades away and the group regroups at a church, civilians are shot, earning strong reactions from Kotsu and Sam and a note of accusation from Owl. Tense negotiations occur between Denton and Sam and Kotsu, resulting into a mutual agreement with no effort to hide the desire to smack around if not kill Denton. The Swarm attacks again, cornering most of the group in the church and Sam in a SWAT vehicle outside. Eddie and John are infected, and consequently killed with serious injuries received while Denton sends backup.
Backup arrives, freeing the group. Sam opts to ride her Bullshit-Cycle hoverbike instead of ride with the crew. The Queen emerges and attacks the party with an ungodly amount of Pests and larva. The Joe twins arrive and damage the Queen. Their efforts, along with the air-dropped Quentin and Kotsu and Carmille's combo attack results in the queen just exploding and the destruction of Sam's prosthetic arm. The group returns to camp to recover and eat, although there are no showers so everyone except Quentin, Kotsu, and Denton are covered in Queen goo. Sam, Kotsu, and Owl have negotiations. Sam wants to disappear off the formal payroll, Kotsu wants graves, both threaten Denton's and/or Morgan's lives, and Owl has a lively discussion about not touching Denton because his paranoia about her magic. Sam and Owl have a conversation in the Mindspace, and Sam agrees to carry a backup of Owl's evidence in her spinal graft unless it becomes a danger.
