Asoithiel is a kingdom in which the Gods of this world live, watching over humanity and other races such as demons, vampires, and so many more. In a tragic incident, 8 young Gods fell from the heavens and into the human world, forced to take the form of a human. They now live in the human world, oblivious to their origin, believing that they were orphans, later adopted (or not) by a family.
Hearing this, the Gods of Ohadus sent 8 young Gods up to the human world, giving them a task to find the missing Gods, as they each held a special key in the world's balance.
The demons, vampires, and related creatures still wander the human world in their human disguises, hunting both the Gods from Asoithiel and Ohadus.
As a result of many powerful beings in the human world, a certain number of humans gained one supernatural power.

Asoithiel Gods: (this applies to the 8 Gods from Asoithiel)
You are one of the Gods who fell from the sky land of Asoithiel as a child. No one from the sky land knows where you are, only that you took the form of a human infant as you fell, and are now living as a normal human, except for some unnatural things.
First, you have one power that would never go away, even if you were in human form (ex: mind reading, super strength, predicting weather, etc.--keep it mild) . Second, when your emotions get the better of you, you become insanely strong in a certain aspect (your godly element), even if you never took your God form (ex: When angry, you may cause a thunderstorm and receive the power to control electricity). That certain power(s) are always within your element (you can have one element, and one side power--ex: Element is air, you can read minds, etc.--they don't need to correspond with each other)
Even if no one told you, you knew you had to keep that fact hidden, or someone would come and kill you--or something of that sort, and so, you told no one (if you were adopted as a child, you parents can know, but they must not tell anyone).
You don't know of your origin, or that you were a God--just that you are a human being with strange powers. The Gods that grew up in the human world aged differently, and it's been 20 years since that incident. (maximum age is 20) You live a so-far normal life, but it seems that there are things happening to you that doesn't happen to others. (remember, the 8 Gods from Ohadus have a task to track you and take you hostage in their land)
You hold a strong position in the balance of the universe, even if it is unknown to you. Whoever has you in their favor will be able to have some power over others. The greater Ohadus Gods aim to have those very powers for themselves. To those who are from Asoithiel, be careful--you are their target.
Ohadus Gods: (this applies to the 8 Gods from Ohadus)
You are one of the Gods who were sent to find the 8 fallen Gods of Asoithiel. You didn't necessarily agree to do this, but being sent by one of the greater Gods, you were just doing your job. You have equal abilities to the 8 fallen Gods, just as powerful, but your element/power does not necessarily correspond with the one you were assigned to hunt. You knew of your task, but did not know who was the person you were assigned, as they had taken the form of a human, just as you did.
You were sent to the human world, also in the form of an infant, only you knew your assignment...or most of you did. While you were being sent to the human world, the incident had an aftermath--the portals that connected the worlds started to collapse, and all 8 of you made it safely, but some had lost their memories in the process. Those who had lost their memories live in the human world just like the Asoithiel Gods, oblivious to the fact that they're not human, and so forth.
You also have this ability that won't go away even if you were in your human form, and when your emotions overtake you, you also become godly strong in your element. You live a so-far normal life, with or without your memories.
You also hold a strong position in the universe, just as the 8 Asoithiel Gods do, and if you fall, the universe does, too.
Vampires, Demons, Werewolves, etc.: (this applies to the named creatures and creatures that are neither human or God--still applies to half-human creatures)
Not all creatures are evil, are they? Evil or not, you live a normal human life, occasionally satisfying your creature needs (ex: vampires need blood, and they feed on it to satisfy their living needs) and hidden in human form, unless you live in groups outside the towns and cities. The evil kings and queens happen to be after the 16 Gods, all of them or not, as they want more power than they already have. You may be on a mission to get one of the 16 Gods, or just living a human life, or visiting a world other than your own. You may have powers that correspond with your being, whether it may be a good sense of smell or inhuman speed. You must be careful, too, as there are others after your race.
Humans who received Powers: (this applies to normal humans who were affected by the presence of the Gods, and received one supernatural ability)
You are a regular boy or girl, man or woman, going about your daily business when you realize you have a strange ability. (you can realize it any way you want--you can feel strange, you can accidentally activate it, etc.) You have one specific power that is special only to you, as no other person has it. You also keep this a secret, as you know it's not a normal thing, and this power may get you into big trouble.

3.) No goddmodding, Mary/Gary Sues, etc., do not control other characters w/o their permission

6.) Romance is allowed--no sexual scenes whatsoever
7.) Be respectful--don't be a bully
8.) If you read the rules, put two ~'s anywhere on your CS
9.) I will not be sending any 'accepted!' to anyone--anyone can join; if I have a problem with your CS, I will PM you
10.) If you are going to have a relationship, do not force other OC's unless it's all part of the 'act'--make sure to have their 'okay' first
11.) Please use the OOC tab, though messages in brackets that are in the RP tab are accepted
12.) Do not spam--if two of the same posts are posted, please delete one
13.) Violence is allowed, but you cannot kill someone without their consent

-You can choose 1 base element (electric, nature, fire, etc.) and one side power (it does not need to be corresponding to your element, but you can not take the power from another element--ex: You are of the fire element--you cannot have the power to control air/create winds)
(An acceptable combination: You are the element of earth, and you can create natural disasters OR you can change weather)
[^^this power is just an ability you can do as a God)
-You may have ONE ability that shows itself in your human form (much like the one super ability a regular human will receive)
-You may not transform into your God Form when you wish unless it is a dire situation
To Vampires, Demons, etc.:
-You may also have a power, though it should not be elemental (leave that to the Gods)
-If you are planning to have your character posses more than 3 kind of powers, please create a limit
To Humans with Abilities:
-You may only have ONE specific power
-You may have a 'stage' of power when it becomes significantly stronger, but don't overdo it
To everyone:
-Romance between races are allowed (encouraged, even)
-I suggest you each have different abilities (ex: please, don't have 2 fire users, and if you do, make sure they have different ways to use their powers--do NOT make them the same)
