Act 1

"I'll get it down now and after we can go and do something," Loki responded as he sat down in one of the chairs. "I'm no expert but swimming after getting something inked in your skin is probably not the best idea, can't you get an infection?" Loki asked looking towards Jay.

"You can, indeed," Jay replied.  "Less likely in a properly chlorinated pool, but it's almost guaranteed in the ocean or a lake or river." He flashed a grin at Faro.  "If you want to see us in swimsuits, you don't have to be so cagey."

Jay got his alcohol swabs and the piercing gun.  "Where would you like me to give it to you?" he asked Loki.

Loki looked at the gun and pointed to his cartlidge, "I think this is the less likely spot for my father to get mad at me for getting pierced." Loki responded, "then again if and when I return home I doubt he will notice as he really doesn't pay much attention to me in the first place."

"I'm going swimming in the sea anyway Jay. It'll be fun!" Faro says excitedly. "I won't get an infection and if I do it's my own fault okay?" He says, trying to convince the other man to agree. Otherwise he'll probably just go by himself later. He just knows he needs to go swimming soon. He's so sick of being on land. Hopefully he'll get used to it soon, but right now he feels the need to catch up on the years he went without swimming properly.

"On your own head be it," Jay said, and readied his piercing gun.  "All right, here it comes," he said to Loki, and *kchnk!*, put the stud through the Asgardian's ear.  "That wasn't so bad, was it?" he asked, tending to the piercing.

Loki winced a little when he felt the gun pierce his ear, it was then followed by a throbbing pain. "Yes that wasn't so bad, though my ear is throbbing, guess I won't be sleeping on that side tonight. Thank you," Loki smiled. "Oh I don't have any money to pay you, but I can do other things for you to make up for it."

Jay grinned wide at that as he cleaned and put away his equipment. "I'll just bet you can," he said with a wink.  He handed Loki a pamphlet on caring for his piercing.

Rumplestiltskin

I've been so worried about you while you've been gone that I haven't known what to do! It's been forever! Are you okay? Rumplestiltskin sent.

He smirked.

"So it's getting late, I don't suppose you know of any place I could crash, but I guess that entails money that I don't have." Loki sighed, "unless one of you guys don't mind having someone crash on your couch until he can figure out what to do for money."

"You can stay over at mine. I have my own apartment nearby." Faro responds. It is a small apartment, but there's space for the other man to sleep. He doesn't mind Loki crashing there for a while, so long as he isn't a nuisance, which Faro doubts he will be.

"Thanks, that means a lot. I promise I'll do whatever I can to help around, and I'm not a messy person so you don't have to worry about that." Loki smiled, "and like I said when I find work and make money I'll be out of your hair."

"No need to rush." Faro says with a smirk. "Happy to have you around." He thinks for a moment before saying "I'm not actually sure how many job opportunities there are here though. The queen built in people caught in the curse but you're new. I'm sure there's some opening somewhere though." The jump between slight flirting and actual decent advice might seem unusual, but Faro's mine just tends to jump between ideas like that. The other man will learn to deal with it.

Fin Dovah

Fin Dovah hadn't been getting many customers lately. It made sense, he supposed, due to the curse just being lifted. Fin Dovah had decided to take a walk around town, to see if he could help anybody.

"I'm not actually sure how many job opportunities there are here though. The queen built in people caught in the curse but you're new. I'm sure there's some opening somewhere though."

Fin Dovah perked his ears. "Is somebody looking for a job here?"

Loki smiled at Faro, "well thank you for the advice and for your hospitality." He then turned to the man who just arrived, "uh yes I am looking for a job. Do you think you can help me?" Loki asked.

"I've been fine." Eragon assures. "All that's interesting is stealing from the dark one really. Everything else has been okay. I wasn't the target of the curse so I was given a pretty decent life. Boring but decent."

Fin Dovah

Fin Dovah grinned. "Yes, I can help you. I run a clinic down the street." Fin Dovah held out his hand. "My name is Fin Dovah, but you can also call me the Dragon."

 Rumplestiltskin

"I'm so glad you're okay." Rumplestiltskin sent. He was starting to get tired of small talk. "Where are you? I need to find you!"

Loki held out his hand and shook Fin's, "thank you that really means a lot. But what kind of clinic I may ask? I also must inform you that I haven't really worked, you see I'm a prince, or am one back in my kingdom."

Eragon frowns and shakes his head. He decides not to reply for a moment whilst he thinks. It can't be Saphira. She wouldn't just write off him stealing. She'd chastise him or be annoyed or something but she wouldn't just skip over it. Especially from the dark one! He'd never hear the end of it! When it was just the once he could accept her possibly missing it, but even then it was a push, but now something's definitely wrong. He doesn't know what it is, someone could have her captive, be talking to him through her, anything, but he can't allow it. It's dangerous to them both if he continues this when he knows something's wrong.

He sits under a tree for a minute, thinking, because as Oromis would insist, being at one with nature is important when making decisions. And when he can, Eragon likes to try and take his advice. It's just that most of the time quick decisions are needed. After thinking for a bit, he knows what he needs to do, and he draws power from nature to make sure his spell works correctly. "Jierda!" He calls out, and he feels his mind go empty. It's a disappointing feeling, but he knows something was wrong. He feels as if he owes Saphira an explanation, but if someone if tracking her or anything else then he doesn't want them knowing his intentions. He can rebuild the bond at a later time, without a potion, and hopefully track Saphira down first.

Fin Dovah

"A place or hospital department where outpatients are given medical treatment or advice." Fin Dovah said with pride. "You're a prince, then? Might I humbly ask of you what your name is, sir?"

"A hospital? I'm not sure how much help I can be but I can try," Loki responded. "And to answer your question my name is Loki, Prince of Asgardia."

"Well that was the old me, the new me is trying to start a new life, I'm trying to make up for all the bad things I have done." Loki responded, "I only did what I did because I was angry. That was wrong, but I understand if you no longer want to help me, I do not blame you."

Jay watched the exchange with something like mild amusement.  Seeing people freak out when they learned who Loki was was going to be fun.  He wondered, idly, how many would react the same way to learn who he was.  Of course, unlike Loki, Jay had no interest in making up for what Jack Frost did.

"Aw, give him a chance," he said, "he can't be any worse than having Doctor Frankenstein as an OB/GYN."

Fin Dovah

"You want to take the path of redemption? We shall see." Fendrake opened his rolling backpack and started looking through it. Jingles could be heard. "Aha! Here you are!" Fendrake took out a deep pink potion. "The potion of truth cures the disease of lying. All who drink it cannot lie without their nose growing. The potion and any nose growth will wear off after 24 hours."

Fendrake held out the potion to Loki. "Drink it and tell me what your true intentions are."
