So, with the drug background, it doesn't have to be anything too complicated. I'm guessing Li might have been exiting a black market/slums area, after finishing a consultation with a large 'business' that was considering expanding its marketing range. Charlie bumps into him as they cross paths. No harm done, just a brief encounter.


Since Li knows Hei, Charlie's SAT/ACT tutor, they could know each other distantly through this mutual friend. But I don't see the two being friends themselves.

So basically, here it goes.


Hei and Charlie met when Hei was being picked on by his older peers. Charlie, being a wrestler and more muscular than him, fought the guys off and told them to pick on someone their own size. Hei always being the grateful one, thanks Charlie and offered to help him with his SAT/ACT. The two became relatively good friends. Charlie served as a protector of sorts and Hei helped with his studies. At times, Hei would be with Li and they would just be acquainted with each other.

Ok nice! I like that little history we had jerry. I was iffy about it before but now i think history is cool. and i still like maudes idea of people knowing me through parties and stuff too.

No, seriously, you've just cleared up a huge problem I've been worrying about. Since Li is such an offensive and solitary person, it would have been extremely difficult to come up with a situation in which he actually approached strangers and tried to get to know them. (No matter how I thought about it, it wouldn't work with his persona.) It's much more plausible that Jerylin dragged him around to a bunch of parties and tried to get him to have more social skills, have more friends, have a life...because she's a caring friend like that.

@asduskfalls - Hannah does like her some good food, for sure. I don't know if they would avail themselves often of all that free food. I think Hunter would be all "can't take advantage" and stuff, but it's definitely an ice breaker!


@NessieAlways - Animal Activism... oh yeah. That definitely sounds like a great way for Hannah and Jerylin to have met. Bonding over all the rah'rah's and stuff!


@LuckyMisfortune - If Hannah thought that Hei was being all creepy and stalker-y, than she probably marched right up to him, hands on her hips. Maybe used that"bossy" tone. If Hei is as shy as all that, she probably startled the answer right out of him. Maybe? Course, she probably would have been fawning all over his artwork right after that. She's always admired people with artistic skills. She had absolutely zero!... She's also very touchy, though, so she might have made him more uncomfortable than not. I think I'm confusing myself... xD

Wonderful! :3 Sounds like a plan, so here's how it goes...


Hei enjoys going to the beach, even if he has to slather on a lot of sunscreen, he didn't want to get any darker. He could have met Hannah when he was sketching the beach and he so happened to see her as a lifeguard. He basically started adding her to the picture. Eventually, Hannah noticed and started to think he was a stalker of something. So, she came over with her hands on her hips and asked him what he was doing. Her tone was quite scary and Hei was very shy. Hei was caught off guard and began that awkwardness. Eventually, after a long stumbling over words, he showed her the picture. Hannah comments on it and absolutely loves it, Hei then started talking to her. The two eventually exchanged phone numbers and in memory of this new friendship, Hei gives her the picture. Eventually, along the way, he realizes she and Hunter are twins.

@Trignome - Maybe she inadvertently messed up one of his photos and they met that way. She'd probably let all his pessimistic-ness roll right off her back.. which could mean she's a particularly frustrating person for Li to be around. Being all chatty and handsy and immune-ish to the snark.

My character usually likes to go on walks around places. She could have met and since they are both 'happy' people they got along well.

I know I already responded, but I wanted to make sure we're kosher. I imagine that Hunter would probably been passing by and stopped to make some quirky comment about Anabelle's hat or her tattoo or something (the wrist one). Maybe the starbucks Anabelle works at is near to the theater that Hunter works at and they've built up a friendly acquaintance via random encounters on the street or something.

And would give her plenty of an excuse to hero worship him, lolz. That's that then!

Heh. I'm pretty sure that even if he neeeeevvvveeeeeer lets it show, he lets that hero worship go to his head. It's inevitable!

Jerylin had already known of Hunter's existence from the summer she spend with Hannah although they were only acquaintances. One night, Jerylin was ditched by her boyfriend at the time at the movies and it was getting late. She waited outside for her mother to arrive, but for some reason or another her mother was taking long. Thankfully Hunter had a late shift that day and when he got out he saw Jerylin outside and offered her a ride. Since Hunter has a passion for people, he started up a conversation during the ride which ended up in both of them spilling their guts out to each other and becoming extremely close. Thoughts?

I can work with this. Hunter does tend to be a little less forthcoming. He's more comfortable listening than talking most of the time, but knowing Jerylin is a friend of his sisters means that he would be willing to go out of his way to be helpful. And nice... And I bet Hannah wouldn't even be jealous if they forged their own friendship... much. (@BrokenStrings)

As for Hunter, since he's a people watcher, saw Hei in one of his bad moods and decided to comfort him. It could have been in a park while he was sketching and enjoying the day. Being the guy who wants to know all your deepest secrets, Hunter probably knew all the right words to say. Hei being vulnerable practically spilled his guts, mostly. He talked about how much stress he was under, but left out the critical part of him being the meanest person to himself. Hunter could've seen through his charade and said to follow him, somewhere. The two walked and talked and Hei eventually calmed down and became that shy and awkward person. They exchange phone numbers and agree to talk again after Hunter basically gets him in a whole now.

To be frank, if Hunter was approaching a complete stranger who seemed to be in a bad mood- it was probably more likely because he figured he could get good material for a script. He would know all the right things to say, and it's likely that as they talked, Hunter became more interested in the person than the potential material. But Hunter is always like that. Maybe he should have gone to school for psychology instead of film!


@Bombielonia - Eve is an avid reader, right? So what if they met at a library (or book store) and Hunter sat with Eve while she calmed down after a particularly bad scare? They'd probably seen each other around a few times before that, and a few times after before they struck up any kind of real friendship?


@Trignome - I'm honestly not sure how they would know each other. They are completely opposite. Li hates friendly people and Hunter is super friendly. Li doesn't care for optimistic people and, well, yeah. The best I can come up with is that they likely know each other through either hei or his sister Hannah...


@BrownBear -Similarly, I'm not sure they would have a reason to know each other outside of other people.


I think my creative is broken, guys. This is serious. Like, Wonder Pets, serious!
