"Hmm, understood." Amara told Dia as she looked at how beautiful and shinny her hair was. "I have been enjoying myself, hahah. The drinks here are a big plus, this would be my sixth or seventh glass." She said as she laughed feeling her curls bounce when she did. She pulled the top of her dress up and grabbed her drink taking another sip. Amara saw that Dia was looking at Oliver and her without showing any facial expressions. Maybe she had thought that her and Oliver had something going on or maybe she looked at both of them as dessert.

@Leviersa

Oliver grew tense at the woman's gaze, straitening himself up, as he fold his hands behind his back and straitened his shoulders. Looking to Amara for a moment before turning his attention back to the woman before him.

Diali's brow furrowed in concern, she knew the girl was a human the moment she smelt her, but she had hoped not. Her words were comforting, and her laugh was a natural one, beautiful to her ears. To add on, Amara could smell her blood, and it hadn't pleased her. She sadly doesn't like human blood either. To add on, she noted her steady gaze as if questioning her intentions, she was probably wondering why she was looking at her the way she had, so she shook her head. With a faint smile, Dia held her hand out in order to shake hers. "Lady Pallastine, it was a pleasure to meet you, I hope your evening continues to be a pleasant one." Diali thus gave the male a gentle nod as she said, "Sir." Instead of waiting any longer, Dia held the woman's free hand firmly and nodded before walking away, placing the mask back upon her slender cheeks as she kept her gaze on the beautifully polished floor. The lights above amazing her as it reflected beneath her, she subconsciously made her way to the window-pane doors that led to the garden just outside, and beneath the balcony.

"Oh, good evening Luna," Diali whispered in fluent mandarin. She hadn't stopped walking, approaching the small yet exquisitely designed garden whilst sitting down on one of its stoned benches. Closing her eyes, Diali inhaled the crisp air. It was a cross between autumn and winter that she was smelling, but it was most definitely colder due to the elevation.

Cane took in Vasilisas features and marveled at how he hadn't reacted earlier to how gorgeous she was. He decided to remove his as well, revealing his sharp, ice blue gaze. "I've spent many years traveling around the world, learning what I can and I'm as surprised as you are I didn't run into more of our kind."

Vasilisa laughed softly "I suppose we are very introverted people when it comes down to things." She would smile slightly, letting a soft sigh escape her lips. She wondered where Oliver was but pushed the thought away dividing he was still dancing with that girl he was with.

@Hartley

"Yes, indeed we are. I apologize if any of my comments have implied anything. I'm not used to being so....close to people." He took a drink and gazed out into the open sky as he tried to push thoughts of her out of his head. She didn't even know him, and vice versa

She looked over at him and sighed as she clasped his hands in hers. "Please don't apologize. I love that you speak your mind. I wish there were others like you." She would smile at him softly before looking over at the door frame finding Ciro staring angrily over at them. Quickly she dropped Canes hands, picking up her glass and mask as he started to walk over to them. "I came to look for you. It was growing late and I thought it would be a great idea to take a nice stroll through the gardens by moonlight." He would smile though it was different than Vasilisa's, instead of being soft and compassionate it was cold and sharp. "You wouldn't deprive a man of his fiance would you Sir. You and I are both reasonable men are we not?"

Vasilisa would clutch her mask near her chest, her smile wavered slightly as she spoke. "Sir Can and I were just having a very interesting chat. One I'm sure you would love dear." Her voice was soft and light though it faltered at the end.

@Hartley

Cane turned and stared the man down. His mind quickly processed how quick and easy it would be to rip the man's heart out and shove it down his throat. Then he remembered Vasilisa next to him and held himself back. He would hate to ruin his image in front of her, and kill someone at a big party. "Yes indeed, sir Ciro. And as happy as I would be to continue to talk about my life, I must take a leave. Enjoy the rest of your night Lady Vasilisa." He glanced once at Ciro and flashed a toothy grin before he quickly disappeared.

Diali-Lilia still remained very quiet and very still behind the hedge in the garden. The fountain before her was the only friend she had at the moment, the sound of its rushing water soothing her as she did nothing to shove the wind blown curls of her hair out of her face. She nearly felt like laying down if not for the voices in the distance, for she knew she could hear their entire conversation, the iciness in one's tone caused her interest to meet a very high peak, but she minded her own. Not bothering to open her eyes, as she took her mask off and fiddled with it mindlessly in the comfortable night whilst her eyes remained closed. Thus, a sigh escaped her full, heart-shaped, ruby lips and became a neglected breath that drifted with the wind. It was a pregnant silence, and it was the first time it bother her, before she finally opened her eyes, and whispered in her fluent, native tongue of mandarin whilst staring at the moon above her: "What a night."

Vasilisa nodded watched Cane leave biting her lip to stop herself from calling him. Ciro turned and offered her his arm as he smiled down at her. She rest her hand on the crook of his arm and sighed setting her glass down before they walked down to the garden. He would hold her close which made Vasilisa cringe, thinking she should tell Oliver where she was or at least have him with her but was not able to due to the hold Ciro had on her.

@Hartley

Cane made his way quickly to Oliver and nodded to him. "Vasilisa is with Ciro. I thought I should let you know, because I'm gonna be keeping an eye on that one." He glanced back towards Vasilisa and Ciro and his power itched to come out right then

@Aio

Amara saw Cane walking over to her and Oliver and she wondered what was wrong until she heard Cane say that Vasilisa was with Ciro. Amara knew that Oliver would go back to her, and she loved that he had so much love and care for Vasilisa and her well being. This made Amara think about her friend who was bitten by a vampire that was going on a crazy rampage. She shook her head slowly missing her best friend who used to care for her as much as Oliver cares for Vasilisa. "Cane, back so soon?" She asked him seeing that he wasn't dancing with anyone anymore.

@Hartley @Aio

Oliver nodded and thanked Cane. " He keeps trying to get her alone. " he growled before he ran off but not before he spoke to Amara. "I'll see you soon." He would give her a soft smile before continuing finding the two in one of the pathways, following behind them quietly.

@Hartley @sprouhtt

Cane nodded at Amara and took a seat. "Yes, it seems so. That brute Ciro..." He trailed off, thinking about the best way to next approach the man. "Anyways, how are you doing so far Amara?"

The Host

With a sigh, he rolled his family ring across his finger, the emerald gem glistening in the candle light that rested on his night stand. He was mesmerized by it only for a second as he watched the guests enter. He could tell that they were nearing the end, that only a few more should be arriving before that was all. Either way, they were still late, and he wished that his guests had, had some kind of punctuality. The moment a foreign woman, a woman with elegant embroidery traveling down the length of her dress, her porcelain skin looking almost humane as her slender figure approached his entrance with two cases, was when he recognized he ought to go down now. Introduce himself to his guests, and converse with the utmost casualty and nobility. He needed more allies, more friends, than he did enemies. He had a plan, a plan that he will only share with those that earned his trust. His head maid, Agetha, had rapped on his door gently as she peered in with her graying brown locks framing her oval shaped visage with the utmost familiarity, he smiled. He loved Agetha, she was the sweetest one here, and although she was younger than him, she still treated him as if he was a child. "Lord Dracula, will you go down to see your guests now? They've been waiting."

"Of course, Agetha, I will go right now." Agetha quickly entered the room, walking over in quick long strides to fix his Lord's suit before tightening his tie and handing him his mask. "Be well, now. Be sure to enjoy yourself, and no girl friends, not yet. Be mindful, treat the woman with respect, and--"

Her master laughed heartily, the chuckle in his throat causing her to quirk a brow as he cupped her chin between his forefingers and peered into her soft blue eyes.
"You needn't worry, mother. I will be just fine," his flirtatious behavior earned him a hard smack upside his head and it unsurprisingly hurt. "Behave," Agetha scolded and with that she left with her master trailing after her with a teasing grin plastered on his face. "Agetha, don't you remember when you were younger? When you were curvacious and I flirted with you endlessly, and you almost gave up if not for Charles getting in the way of things." Agetha huffed as she defended her husband with:

"Charles is the most loyal man I have ever met, married, and bared children with. Don't speak terribly over your best man here in this empty Castle. He always did his job well, and he always treated you well. He might as well be your best friend, you scoundrel." Dracula wondered if she was out of air as he said,

"Aye, and you my past lover. Oh, how you wound me, Agetha."

"Hush, I will hear none of it. You flirted with multiple woman, I shall never marry a man with such a large card. We're your family, you treat the newcomers like baby lambs. I haven't met a single woman that appreciates that."

She was quick to respond, and he was silent for a moment, his hands resting in his pockets as he nodded.
"Well, Agetha, no need to worry. After tonight, that shall come to an end." The old lady said nothing and continued her merry way as she walked down the steps and into a separate door way that led to the secretive passage ways of the Castle. Lord knows what chores she'll be doing now, so now the Host himself was a lone and nervous. He spent a gradual amount of time lurking in the shadows the moment he descended the steps and neared the ballroom. Watching those who entered the ballroom quietly, fiddling with the ring on his finger as he pondered the most appropriate time he should enter. He decided the moment he saw a man enter the ballroom from the balcony was the right time to enter.

The two men standing side by side at the entrance nodded at one another the moment Dracula made himself known, opening the doors for him as he entered in teh process of fixing his tie. He asked a small multitude of the guests near the entrance whether they were enjoying themselves and they all said yes. He slowly descended the stairs of the entrance, meeting the crowd at the bottom as he shook hands and introduced himself as their host. He smelt the familiar scent of humans and sensed the Vampires as they had all mingled with one another.
What an interesting night, he thought. He finally came to a small trio of people, a mortal brunette woman and man chatting with a vampire who looked to be around their age, but most likely not, as he greeted them, "Lady, Gentlemen, how is your evening so far?" Sadly, one of them had left before he could answer, but never the less he stayed.

Cane senses a powerful presence coming his way, even more powerful than himself. He glanced to his right a notices a man holding himself with the utmost prestige and confidence. This must be the famous Dracula, the host himself. He graciously got up and bowed in the presence of such a powerful man. "My Lord, the evening is going grand. And to what do we owe the pleasure of his greatness?" He examined the power of this man and respected it instantly. He felt like a gracious man, contrary to popular belief and he smiled at Dracula.

Anne looked up once again at the sound of a deep male voice. After a few minutes of wandering around, she had returned to her book, and her face betrayed the fact that she was annoyed about being disturbed. Nevertheless, she studied the man who had spoken, guessing from the air of superiority that he was King Dracula. He seemed to fit his castle, being large and imposing. His thoughts were not much different, though there was a small part of his mind that indicated that he was annoyed for some reason. She watched him carefully, trying to extract as much information as she could from his mind.

Vasilisa looked over at Ciro and smiled, trying to mask her fear. "How about we head back. I'm sure others would love to meet you. You and Oliver could get acquainted and..ah!" Ciro gripped her harder than she had thought possible before she found herself on the ground.

"Do you think I'm stupid Vasilisa? Do you not care about the image you are creating for us? Flirting with every man that walked through those doors and talking with those filthy humans. You should be grateful that I agreed to marry you because no man would be so stupid to do so." Vasilisa looked up at him wides eyed as she scrambled to get up knowing it was not wise to lay on the ground. "I... I was doing no such thi-" she was cut off as Oliver grabbed her hand and darted back to the party knowing that Ciro wouldn't dare hurt her if it meant his image being smeared. Arrive at the doors he stopped turning around to make sure Vasilisa was alright, she looked as though she went through a windstorm her hair and dress covered in dirt and leaves. Oliver clenched his fist before he spoke. "Stay here I'm going to go nd see if we can get you a room so you can straiten yourself up." As he ran back to his group Vasilisa stood there silently, the smile ever present on her face was gone.

Going up to the group he noticed a man that was not there before but decided nothing of it as he spoke. " Do you know who I should speak to to get a room for Vasilisa?" His voice was frantic not liking that he left her out there but knowing how embarrassed she would be if he had brought her in here with the state she was in.

Amara witness the sight of Dracula himself in person standing in front of her, she was utterly astounded as he stood in front of her and Cane he looked so prestigious, confident, and very powerful in the way he presented himself. She greet the count himself," The evening is going rather well, my--" She stopped herself before continuing to say another word. The word she stopped herself from saying was 'my lord,' she didn't like the idea of having to bow down to anyone. Nobody owned her and nobody could make her bow down to such a race who thinks that they are better then everyone but she did show respect for the man who everyone came to love and some came to fear. "Pardon me, I had something in my throat." She said to him as she cleared her throat to try and make it seem believable.

Lord Dracula continued to smile pleasantly, although he was slightly tired of so many bows, and so he responded with, "I am pleased. I came over to greet you simply because I held this ball for a reason. You see," he took a moment. Looking around before standing straighter to announce himself as: "I am Cadis von Reimon Dracula. Lord Vladimir Dracula the Third's son, my father has passed a long, long while a go. Thus, I have taken his place, but please. I would like for you to call me Lord Cadis if it aids you, no need for such formalities, for tonight we are friends." Graciously, he plucked a glass of wine from a tray that was being held from one of his servants, t'whom which he recognized and smiled at as they would bow their heads respectfully, not an ounce of fear was driven into his servants bodies, he made sure of it. Meeting the gaze of the man who oh-so pretentiously greeted him, he had asked him with the same smile and fruitfulness of his voice, "What is your name, sir?" It wasn't long after that the female finally found her voice and answered him, the way her cheeks flushed with color caused him to nod softly, understanding she is a human as he smiled fondly at her, "It's quite alright, you may call me Lord Cadis," he spoke to her gently. And then he was greeted, once more, by a man asking for a room. By now, his eyes were dancing with laughter, he was enjoying himself and he never thought he would. "Yes, I believe my head maid shall meet with you shortly then, take the back door there," the Count pointed towards a door at the second floor, near the balcony entrance doors, "And go down those flight of stairs. If you take a right you should see the Kitchen, and smell it. There, I believe Agetha will be more than pleased to send Lady Vasilisa to her quarters where her belongings are. Sadly, I do not condone rooms with couples in them, at least not at this very moment, unless they're family of course."

Diali-Lilia Ai

Curiously, Diali peered over the hedge and leaned over the stone bench she sat on. Staring at an icy blond man that stood there in frustration. She quirked her brow, and before she knew it, she asked, "Are you okay?" Her voice was modulated, pleasant to listen to, but she was being very firm as she asked. The males body was rigid with frustration, and she heard it all, but she pretended as though she hadn't. It wasn't her business to know, and thinking about her question, his answer probably wasn't either.

Lyra rubbed her eyes and looked out the window, sitting in her bed. It was dark out. She shivered. She was afraid of the dark. She never really told anyone, because she was sure people would tease her because she wasn't a small child anymore, but she couldn't help it. She simply hated the dark. She got close to the lamp near her bed, wanting to be as far from the dark as possible. Lyra got up and went downstairs with her family.

"Mother? Father?" She called. A thin woman with light brown hair and a man with scruffy black hair was sitting at the table which was dimly lit for style, which Lyra had silent complaints about.

"Do you want a loaf of bread, dear?"

Lyra nodded and her mother handed her a loaf of bread and some butter. Lyra put some butter, and started eating.

"Lyra, do you mind taking out some garbage out?" Her father asked.

"Sure," Lyra said.

Cane stood with his confidence, going to show the man that he that he was confident in himself and smiled up at him. "My name is Cane, my Lord. Cane Andrews." He reached his hand in offer of a shake and then noticed Oliver come up. When he heard what Oliver said about Vasilisa, he got worried and anger crossed his mind. If that brute had done anything, he would be eating his own heart.

@Leviersa @Aio

"I'll be sure to call you that," She told him as she took a sip of her drink almost finishing it but she knew if she had taken anymore sips this would make her want to use the bathroom more then ever. She put the drink on the table and turned her back to it. Amara couldn't stop looking at how well dressed and sophisticated Cadis appeared. She thought he would be a bit more old fashioned and mean like the towns folk said he would be, but this had changed her whole point of view on Cadis.

@Leviersa

Oliver followed his every word as the man spoke and nodded before turning to Cane to ask him a favor. "Could you go stand with Vasilisa while I go get her room set up? She just outside the doors." Oliver knew he would do it so he took off smiling over at Amara before he disappeared.

Vasilisa stood there shaking, which was unusual seeing she was never cold. Her arms were wrapped around herself after she gave up trying to clean herself up. Leaning against the door frame, twitching at the sounds that came from the ball inside.

Ciro looked over at the woman and frowned. "I'm fine." He growled, looking at the woman wondering how much of his and Vasilisa's conversation she had heard. Or if she saw Oliver making a fool out of him when they ran away.
