"Sure though I can't say I'm known for my moves." He joked as he offered her the crook of his arm and smiled slightly. He nodded to Cane once again, waiting for their conversation to finish. "When are you going to loose that fool? You know when we wed I'm not allowing him to be with us Vasilisa." Ciro spoke under his breath watching Oliver closely with narrowed eyes. "Who said we're even getting married Ciro there is still time for me to find someone else.Plus you don't get to decide if Oliver stays or leaves." She felt the grip on her hand tighten, as she tried to pull away. "You're in worse shape than I am after your brother abandoned your family, with your image smeared you need all the help you can get." Ciro whispered in her ear mockingly, Vasilisa bit her lip to stop her from talking any further, letting him guide her across the dance floor.

"Please," Cane said quickly, "the pleasure is all mine. I apologize for looking at you with that disgusting look. I have a deep hatred for your kind, but I shouldn't let the actions of your people judge who you are." A sad look crossed his face before it disappeared, replaced by a smile.

"I can say the same to you as well," Amara replied back before taking Olivers arm, "If you will excuse me," She told Cane polity as Oliver took her to dance, "You seem to be very close with the young girl you walked in with, is she your girlfriend?" Amara questioned as she and Oliver began dancing to the rhythm of the orchestra. "Your pretty light on your feet, "She told Oliver and chuckled. @Aio

Oliver laughed slightly before he looked over to see Vasilisa looking rather distressed, he body tensing at the sight. Before he entered the dance he looked back at Cane and spoke. "Sir Cane. You know how you promised to save a dance for Vasilisa...Mind cashing that in now? Her betrothed it being a bit bothersome." He felt slight pain in his right wrist, the exact spot where Ciro was placing immense pressure on Vasilisa's wrist. He tried to ignore it as he began to dance with Amara. "No she is not. Our relationship is a bit more complicated I suppose." He would laugh slightly at her words, actually surprised with how he was doing so far.

"She is very beautiful," She told him and smiled. "You must be her protector," She said but then she heard someone the questions she was asking him and she felt like she was interrogating him and it wasn't nice to ask, "I'm sorry for asking you about your personal life with," She continued as she said that quietly and the pace of the music began to slowly decrease, and she looked away from him. @Aio

Cane glances over at where Oliver was looking and noticed the man with Vasilisa. He could tell what kind of man that vampire was and he despised those types. "It would be my pleasure." Cane strode quickly over to where Vasilisa and the man were with his confidence held high

(Night everyone ) *she wanders around outside humming to herself fidgeting with the too fancy dress she wore* maybe I should at least try to talk to some of them he might be upset if I don't....

Vasilisa turned to see Cane and smile. "Oh Ciro I promised to save a dance for Mister Cane here. You understand right? I can't go back on my word, what kind of vampire would I be?" She gave Ciro a smile to reassure him. Ciro looked Caned up and down before he released Vasilisa's wrists and leaned down to kiss her but she quickly turned her head to where he could only catch her cheek. With a sigh he walked away. "Thank you Sir Cane." She spoke with relief in her voice though her smile never wavered.


Oliver smiled and shook his head. "No no it's fine. I don't mind, its the least I can do since you are dancing with me." He watched her his smile gentle before looking over at Vasilisa and Cane, a small breath of relief escaping from his lips.

"I know, but it was rude of me to ask you." She told him apologizing the second time and she looked to see that Cane was dancing with someone else, the girl that had come in with Oliver. She was really pretty and so was her dress to her, she seemed to be relieved when Cane came to take her to dance. @Aio

Cane nodded his head and smiled gently at her. "The pleasure is once again all mine. That brute isn't in my good taste category anyways, so he better watch himself." Cane watched the man walk away and he instantly thought about how fast and easy it would be to kill him. Then he remembered where he was and decided to hold that thought.

Oliver would laugh slightly and shake his head. "Then tell me about yourself and then we can be even." He winked at her as they continued to dance thinking about how this is the first time other than being with Vasilisa he truly felt comfortable.


Vasilisa laughed slightly at Canes comment as they began to dance. Her move were more relaxed, easily flowing gracefully with the music. " I suppose it would be awful of me to be happy if you did kill him. What a terrible wife I'll make." She would give a soft giggle before her face grew grim at the thought. Shaking her head she went back to her usual self, smiling her delicate smile while trying to keep up with the steps.

"Wife?" Cane looked at the man walking away and back to Vasilisa. "You are gonna marry that brute? Why would you ever do that?" He followed her moves, molding himself into each of her steps and blending into the music. There was no way this beautiful woman, so intelligent and amazing was gonna marry a brute such as that man.

*she gets pulled onto the dancefloor by a charming young man and forces a smile though she is quickly getting more and more comfortable*

Vasilisa sighed and nodded " Arranged Marriage isn't what it's cracked up to be. Though if I find someone before the marriage is made official I don't have to marry, I'm not having much luck with that though." She would laugh softly before she gently smiled at Cane, bowing her head slightly. "Thank you again for stepping in when you did."

"Hmm, where to start," She pondered and let out a small chuckle, "My mother is a tailor, and my father is a high end merchant. I guess I've lived a simply life ha ha, but my mother and father have arranged for me to wants me to marry this older guy which isn't really old. He's only two years older then me, but other then that I've been tending to my mothers store is basically it." She continued as the tempo of the music began to grow thus making the dance go into a more faster pace. @Aio

"Hm. Sounds like an over all good life. Do you think you will come to love the man you are to marry? I didn't know humans still did arranged marriages, only vampires." He sighed knowing how Vasilisa felt about her arranged marriage wondering if Amara felt the same way.

"I am not against it nor am I for it but I certainly think that women and men should get to choose who they marry," She told him as she looked up at him to make eye contact. "Not all humans like myself get arranged marriages but my father and mother had an arranged marriage and it worked out well, but I don't want someone choosing who I will spend the rest of my life with." Amara told him as she sighed and she felt the other vampires dancing past her and when they passed by with massive speed and force her curls moved with the direction of the wind. @Aio

"You and Vaslisa would get along very well I think." As he spoke he smiled as he took notice to how the vampires dancing, leaning in as he whispered in Amara's ear. " Think we should try and go that fast? I'm sure I'd land strait on my butt." He laughed slightly looking over at Vasilisa once more to make sure she was okay.

"Bah. Arranged marriages. Are we not vampires? You should be completely free to choose whoever you want to spend eternity with." The dance ended and he offered his hand to Vasilisa to come and get a drink with him. Her comment about finding someone else settled into his mind but he pushed it away, knowing he didn't stand a chance in that category. "Come, please."

Vasilisa smiled as she took his hand in hers, looking over at Oliver, glad he had found someone to take his mind off things. "Thank you." She said, dipping her head slightly before walking off the ballroom floor with Cane, careful to avoid Ciro when they entered the crowd of people.

"You are very welcome Madame Vasilisa." He walked them through the crowd until he spotted a door to what looked like an outside balcony. He grabbed two drinks before pulling them out onto the balcony. He offered one of the drinks to her.

She smiled and took it, lifting the cup up to her noses and sniffed it before bringing it to her lips and taking a small sip." Lovely." She whispered softly before she took another sip as she walked to the edge of the balcony to look out.

"I would probably step on your foot if I went that fast," She laughed and they danced the night away and laughed at themselves when they tried to keep up with the vampires but had a hard time doing so seeing that they weren't the same species as them. Amara was glad she found someone to talk to and laugh for the night since the other vampires were giving her the eye. "Thank you for dancing with me," She told him as the music came to an end and the band began playing a much quieter and slower music. She took a glass of champagne from the waiters tray and took a sip, this was her fifth glass of champagne and she was the kind of lady to drink to her hearts content and still behaving herself but she knew that if she had ordered any alcohol she would be in big trouble given the fact that she isn't with any humans and half of these male vampires would snatch her if they had the chance to.
