Raeney looked away, lifting a hand to his mouth as he attempted to cover his smile. He glanced down at the floor and then dropped his hand, along with his smile. "You're not the first to respond as such to me. I don't know why it happens, but it just is."

(I guess if the restaurant is near the school. He just got a new class in, though, and you had said it was lunch already. How about we let Jess and Quill nap, and after school Alex goes to get something to eat because Jess distracted him during the lunch period so that he couldn't get anything to eat?)

Katrina gripped her shirt even tighter, her entire body trembling as she tried to control her emotions that were ready to burst out and be heard. "If all you're here to do is brag about me and the countless girls that have fallen hopelessly in love with you then you can just leave." She retorted, walking past him and slipping out of her room, about to go downstairs and just leave herself so she could go on a walk to cool down.

Raeney followed her silently, and before she reached the house's front door, he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and bent close, pressing his face into her shoulder. "That's not what I'm here for, love."

Quill yawned and draped one arm over his eyes, turning off the car again. "Well, I guess we're going to have to wait to eat for a while... because I don't think I have the energy to face people right now." He then straightened his arm again and lay it across Jess's face as he attempted to get on her nerves.
